I've tried the pistachio latte, the rose cardamom chai latte, the biscoff latte, and the matcha guava, and I've loved every single one. You can customize everything about your drink, and they genuinely nail it, if you ask for something less sweet, it comes out at the perfect level. That kind of attentiveness is hard to find. The baked goods are just as impressive. Really well made, and the flavors are interesting in the best way - the rosemary honey biscuit and the cheddar chive scone are both worth trying. The vibe is cozy but modern, with plenty of seating and outlets to get some work done. Great music, clean space, and fast Wi-Fi. I love myself a good freddo cappuccino! I always base a coffee spot by how well they make one & I was pleasantly surprised at how good the one at Coffee Lab was. I've been meaning to go here for a while, I actually ordered a coffee back on New Year's Day but when I walked in to the cafe, the barista canceled the order & said they were closing early (but were open on all platforms and stated the hours would be till 7 pm on social media) which left a bad taste in my mouth; however I decided to give them a second chance. The place itself is very bright (a lot of light) which I enjoy & there's some room to sit down & work / catch up with a friend. The outdoor dining is a part of the entrance and tented so it's able to be used during the winter time but I recommend possibly adding space heaters so that more people are being accommodated to enjoy their coffee, rather than be forced to take it to-go. All in all, I will definitely be back to try out a pastry! read more

This is a great place to hang out, work or just people watch. The space isn't huge but the floor to ceiling windows that opens out into the street makes for a very bright and welcoming space. There is free Wifi, plenty of seating (inside and outdoor), really good coffee and friendly staff. Their menu mainly consists of hot & cold drinks and pastries. The iced specialty lattes are really fun and cool flavors; it is true to the name that they experiment with fun flavors! The iced specialty lattes (like biscoff latte) can be very sweet though. If you want to try and maybe aren't a sweet-drink person maybe let the staff know beforehand. I also felt the cream they add to those lattes sticks to the side of the (cold) cup, so next time I would use a spoon to mix it all up within the drink, because the straw isn't a good enough tool for that. The pastry selection is quite expansive, and the two pastries we tried were very good (one savory - spinach pie, and one sweet - croissant). Highly recommend the spinach pie. read more

Overall, I had a mixed experience here. The quality of the coffee can be irksome at best, and the few times I arrived, a regular cup of coffee was okay at best. Basically, it depended on who served me and what time of day I was there. The Iced Freddo Cappuccino is a traditional Greek drink that's creamy, foamy, and strong. It has a strong coffee flavor that is mellowed down as you mix the frothed milk more and more. It could use a little bit of sweetness as it isn't really sweet on its own. I wish they recommended that to me or explained the best way to order this. The Iced Latte was very well-made! All the flavors and ingredients came together so well. From the bitterness and richness of the espresso to the sweetness from the sugar-free vanilla to the freshness of the oat milk. But when I ordered the guy just bluntly was like "it comes in large" and nothing else like wym I see a stack of 2 different sized cups behind you? OMG! This new corner coffee shop is a charm. I knew from a far that it would be an excellent place to try. The baristas here are so friendly and welcoming, despite how busy it was they were so sweet! I got an iced decaf biscoff latte and that was bussing. I never had such a sweet latte that I actually downed in a matter of 10 seconds, lol I'm dramatic but that's how it feels! The cafe itself is chic and super clean. They have many variety for drinks that are probably seasonal so I can't wait to try what else they have to offer. I picked up a Too Good to Go from Coffee Lab a couple of weeks ago and was able to sample a bunch of their pastries through it. The space is really nice. It's white and clean, and it has tables for you to sit and enjoy your order at. The staff were really nice when I arrived. They shared that they were a new business. In my order, I was able to try some muffins, a chocolate pastry, a savory and sweet hand pie, and a marble pound cake. Everything was delicious! I'm excited to go back and try their coffee next time I'm in Astoria. read more

Not sure what is going on with their inventory! They had the spinach pie like come on it's a Greek neighborhood all the shops have spinach pies and which shops don't carry chocolate croissants??? They suddenly stopped having them! Really disappointing. Also they use to love their matcha latte but they had change in staff and it's disgusting now! My gf ordered the pistachio cream latte, and it also had too much of the steamed milk.
