My go to work spot. Whenever I'm visiting NY, this is my favorite coffee shop! The coffee is great and so are the people. I love watching them interact with their regulars and feeling like I'm peering into a really communal space. It's fantastic for working because OUTLETS. I always struggle with coffee shops because I get battery anxiety for my laptop. Each table along the wall has plenty of outlets and the large window allows for so much natural light to come in. It can get loud if it's busy so don't recommended for people who take a lot of calls. But if you have your noise cancelling head phones, you're all set. Highly recommend!

16oz Iced Latte (~$5) with oat milk (+75¢)

Ordered: 16oz Iced Latte (~$5) with oat milk (+75¢) Aya's take: I love a coffee shop that takes what they do seriously and Mighty Oak is just that. The espresso is strong with a balanced body and the latte was creamy and silky smooth. They don't have any syrup flavors here (aside from simple syrup) which is usually my go-to add-on to a latte but on its own, it was still really good. Decent amount of seating, friendly staff, and great coffee. Check them out!

Fantastic coffee and customer service. They roast their own beans here, using a wood fired machine, and they take their specialty coffee very seriously. I'm so happy that there is speciality coffee shop and roaster within walking distance of me. They have a variety of beans that you can buy to make at home, but of course they can also pull a mean shot of espresso for you. On the first Sunday of every month from 10am-3pm, they have Slow Bar Sundays, where you can choose from various beans and extraction methods: pour over, flair espresso, aeropress, or French press. The gentleman that runs it is super knowledgeable and helpful and kind. 10/10 would recommend. Prices are super reasonable too, they're basically offering this as a public service.

I adore this cafe! The vibe is amazing: bright and bustling with lots of natural light and the smell of brewing. It's perfect to sit alone and get some work done, or for you and a friend to chat over coffee or tea. One detail I love is that Mighty Oak Roasters and Bench Flour Bakers (a bakery-cafe also in Astoria) have a little exchange: Mighty Oak sells Bench Flour's pastries and cakes, and Bench Flour sells Mighty Oak coffee. Support your local neighborhood businesses!

Coffee was delicious! They don't have flavor syrups but can add maple or honey if desired. The coffee is smooth. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon and the spot was chill and packed with ppl either working or mingling. Super chill vibe, airy with lots of light. There's wifi! Service was quick. Barista was nice!

How impressed I am with Mighty Oak Roasters. What I had heard and read about them lived up to expectations. Mighty Oak Roasters was our third eatery of the day, and we noticed immediately that we were walking into an outstanding (by Astoria standards) coffee shop. We could see the coffee beans and smell them, and above all, the coffee was excellent. I ordered a traditional iced coffee with milk, and my partner ordered a regular tea. At the time, we were not hungry as we had just come from a nearby pizzeria, so beverages were the order of the day. Mighty Oak Roasters stands out because of the coffee and the balance between java drinkers and the space to sit, relax, and work on a laptop. Outside, they have the best awning for any coffee shop I have seen in the area. You immediately know this place is a cafe just by looking at the name. Yes, an outstanding recommendation. The owners got the balance right!!

I stumbled upon this coffee shop on a walk through the neighborhood. From the outside, it's charming and inviting. The inside space is beautifully decorated in a trendy style with several tables where you can bring a laptop to work remotely. The inside also smells amazing as they roast the coffee beans right behind the counter for all to see. The menu has all of the staples a coffee drinker may want. I got an iced latte that was prepared quickly and tasted amazing. I will definitely be back!

Matcha tea. Very good. Don't know if it is ceremonial quality tho.

Great space to get a coffee to go on your way to the subway or stay and work. Good coffee, lots of windows for natural light, several outlets along the bench for your computer and light music so that you can actually think. We were looking for a coffee shop to work at near the airport and this spot was perfect. Lots of places to grab coffee but most shops are too small or not a good space to work and some don't have restrooms for customers! This place hit all the marks. They have oatmilk and seasonal coffee drinks which I love. I tried their matcha and I also tried their autumn spice latte. Both Excellent Ran out of vegan baked goods but they've only been open a couple weeks. Definitely check them out!

Excellent Coffee Shop if U are in the area. I had a Cortado that was most excellent!! It was my first time here and I am ashamed that I did not leave a bigger tip... after trying me most excellent Coffee.. it was way above average...

Autumn spice latte

Came on a rainy Sunday afternoon and was surprised by how large the store was inside the seemingly quaint row house, with plentiful seating options even around peak customer time. There was a wide variety of caffeine options available. I opted for their seasonal Autumn Spice Latte. My small cup latte came at a hefty price of $7, which is on par with what one can expect from a boutique coffee shop. Unfortunately was quite disappointed with my selection, that consisted of little more than a heavy infusion of cinnamon and foam. The atmosphere was exactly what I wanted though, for a casual coffee date. This place is a perfect representation of the burgeoning hipster scene in Astoria. Specialty cold brew options? Check. Craft coffee? Check. Oakwood long tables and open-ceiling concept? Check, check, and check.

We got a fresh loaf and some butter and that's really all we needed. That said, staff is friendly, and the pastries are also amazing. They have a table to pickup preorders so you don't have to wait in the main line. I ordered a dozen for $39. You can select your assortment. Here's my review in order from the best to the least desirable, according to our group. Vanilla custard- the filling was thick and speckled with vanilla beans. It wasn't too sweet. This was the best according to our group. Strawberry filled- this is most traditional and Breads Bakery does a nice job. The jam is homemade. Pistachio- this doughnut was filled with smooth pistachio cream and was topped with a few pieces of pistachio. Not traditional, but they did a good job. Chocolate- the filling tasted like a semisweet or bittersweet cream/custard. Like the others, it was smooth. The vanilla was more popular among our group and I personally didn't love this doughnut. Mango- this was the one that those in my group felt missed the mark. It wasn't cloyingly sweet, so that was good, but the filling didn't do anything for us either. If you're looking for a mango dessert the one at Lysée is a real winner.

Let me tell you why this coffee shop stands above the rest:…read more 1. They use quality beans. I'm a home barista and use Oslo's beans for my americanos. When I moved to the UES, I was worried finding a new local roaster. I've had bad experiences where the beans are too oily or something is off that messes with my usually grind size/extraction time. No issues with Oslo's beans. 2. They actually know how to make a proper americano. Every coffee shop takes a standard cup, puts in the espresso shot, and then fills hot water to the brim of the cup. This destroys the flavor of the espresso. You end up with hot water that tastes slightly like coffee. Oslo chooses quality over quantity. They don't fill the water up to the brim, so you have a cup with 2/3 of liquid; however, this is a proper americano. You can taste the difference. At other shops, I just get drip coffee because they don't know what they're doing. Oslo knows what they're doing. That's why I come here.

We were a little late for our reservation, and they gave our table away, which was quite annoying. However, the service, hospitality, and food more than made up for it. Someone came over to apologize for the mix up and offered us complimentary white wine while we waited for another table to open up. The wine was delicious! When we were finally seated, we started with some drinks. I got the Speranza, and it was light, fresh, and delicious! We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary bread basket brought to the table, as it's a rarity in nyc these days. We split a burrata amongst the table. Loved the addition of figs. I ordered the rigatoni all'aragosta for my dish, which was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. There was a decent portion of lobster in the dish, and I couldn't even finish all of it, I was so full. One of the best pasta dishes I've had in a while. My friends ordered the bolognese and the fettuccine alla nerano, and they enjoyed their dishes as well! We skipped dessert this time, but I would definitely be back for it. I also want to try the paccheri next time, as well as their coffee shop in the mornings! Overall, a well executed restaurant with great ambience (would be great for a date night with the dim lighting and ability to hear each other speak). They just need to get a bigger dining room so they can seat more parties because they always seem to be booked full!

Unfortunately, it was totally bland and not large at all. The side sauce added nothing and over 30$ with tax/tip. For entrees, we shared the lobster pasta and the guazzetto di Pesci. The pasta was good. Reasonable amount of pasta but we would have liked some more chunks of lobster for the price. I thought the sauce was only ok but my girlfriend liked it. The guazzetto di Pesci was only fair. The sauce was lacking flavor. Also a very small bowl of broth with maybe 3 small shrimp and muscles, a few small chunks of fish. and two sad, tiny pieces of bread on the side. Since we were still quite hungry after the meal, we ordered the lotus chocolate caramel dessert. This was the only dish we really liked. kinda hard to mess up gelato though. It came with a hard outer candy shell and a very small cookie center that was sweet and delicious. Overall, an average meal at best that we both felt was lacking in taste and size. Won't return.
