BEWARE!!! Their drinks are ok unless they end up all over you. I ordered a matcha latte only for the lid to become leaky and start dripping on the floor and on my phone. I went back and let them know and they put on a new lid but never checked to see if it was leaky again. When I was drinking in the car, the drink leaked all over my pants. I'm really disappointed that they didn't catch this issue. I should point out that I thought they would QA especially after I saw the person ahead of my receive their drink. When I saw the lady that was making it, she tried sealing it but it started leaking only to add the same lid I had. I'm really disappointed with their quality. All of the drinks were on the sweeter side especially with boba so I recommend getting less sweet. The jasmine tea wasn't anything extraordinary but the hojicha milk tea was really good! The food court is bustling and has all you could ever ask for of Japanese cuisine, including: beef tongue, curry, udon, beer, and of course, ice-cold matcha and boba from Umacha. I ordered "Love Me", which came with strawberry bits on the bottom and cheese cream on the top. It paired exceptionally well with my meal and gave me a refreshing dessert. If you find your drink too sweet or not sweet enough, the friendly staff will be happy to fix it up for you. I say go and enjoy while you shop or right after to take home. This place has a bunch of different cheese cream drinks. There isn't much customization here. Since this place is new and it was super busy (lunchtime) not sure if they're still trying to get the kinks out. Anyway ordered a #7 - Snowtone which is cheese cream + milk + coffee. I think this place is more known for its cheese foam drinks, so maybe those taste better, but the lemonade itself was pretty standard. I was seriously hoping it would be a solid boba spot considering how much I love this food court but unfortunately this was not the case. We ordered their mango green tea at 50% sweet and less ice. 50% sweet was a decent level since it was still sweet but not too sweet. However, at almost $7 a drink, you would think there would be real fruit. This was entirely syrup- no fresh fruit in sight. For a drink made entirely with syrup, the mango fragrance was not present. The mango jelly was a nice touch but tbh, would prefer a higher quality mango green tea than the unnecessary add-on. Overall, I'd rather get the same drink from lollicup for a fraction of the price since at least the sugar intake would be worth the taste. But my daughter has gotten several drinks there and I was impressed that they were NOT just a bunch of sugary gimmicks, but some of the teas were quite unique, tasty and some even contained real fruit. The milk tea tasted extremely fresh and the boba was excellent. I would have given it 4+ stars but the service came in to play and hence I upped my rating. My daughter had ordered a milk tea and was given the wrong tea, but upon realizing this, their employee searched around the food court, found us and delivered the correct tea! There was also an issue with their machine not sealing the milk tea cup properly so unfortunately some of it spilled out onto my daughter's clothes. I returned to let them know of the sealing issue and told them that I was certainly not complaining, but just wanted to let them know that their machine wasn't working and they apologized profusely. I said it wasn't a problem we just wanted to let them know. The person there was either the owner or the manager and afterwards, looked for us again in the food court and gave us complimentary drink coupons! That type of service is hard to find these days! If I'm craving boba while I'm at Mitsuwa (Umacha is located within Mitsuwa) then I would get it. I decided to give it a shot and it was much better! Cons are it is quite expensive especially if you get a fruit tea.
