The kiosk is very cute and well decorated. The staff are very nice and friendly. They offered us samples which was very helpful. We really like the new Osmanthus peach & Osmanthus milk tea. Both are freshly made and very refreshing, especially on hot days. You can feel the nice tea aroma after each sip :)
We had the dirty matcha and Ceylon milk tea, the drinks were good but I would consider going down in sweetness level next time :) We both had normal sweet.
Decent matcha spot located at the Mitsuwa market. I ordered the strawberry matcha latte and the milk overpowered the flavor profile. The strawberry jam adds a nice contrast to the drink. Fast service! The ambiance is bustling in this area due to the location in food court. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to get my matcha fix here unless I'm already at Mitsuwa market.
This is a small cafe spot located in Mitsuwa. Service was super fast -- I got my drink within 5 minutes. I'd recommend giving this place a try if you're shopping. Hojicha milk tea with boba -- 8/10. The boba hard carried this. It was so soft and chewy. The drink itself was meh. I couldn't exactly taste the hojicha, but it satisfied my boba craving. It honestly tasted more like brown sugar milk tea than hojicha milk tea
This is my first time trying Umacha and my matcha donchan was pretty good! It wasn't too sweet and I could taste the matcha. However, my sister got the matcha tarot and said her drink was only okay, she could barely taste the taro but explained that the matcha part was good. The service was quite fast though and the staffs seemed knowledgeable about their drinks.
Umacha is located inside the food court of mitsuwa Costa Mesa. It's right in the center and hard to miss. I went on a Thursday during lunch and there was no line or wait. The cashier was super helpful in helping me decide what drink to get and was also really patient when I was indecisive lol. The matcha itself didn't have a strong flavor unfortunately and mostly tasted like milk.
Parking here can get horrendous. They do have a garage if you go around the outside lot, but usually there's a long line. The store is located inside Mitsuwa food court area. They do have seating areas in the food court as well. I ordered the Hoji Cha Milk Tea and it was good and smooth. It wasn't really sweet and does have a unique taste. Really loved our indulgent delicious drink from Umacha. Visited Mitsuwa on a busy Black Friday to refuel between shopping, and as usual all was delicious. Umacha matcha donchan was our dessert, and it delivered! This is a SWEET drink, so def recommend going no/low sugar. Service was friendly and fast, would absolutely return when in the area.
Umacha is a small boba/matcha spot located in Costa Mesa's Mitsuwa. Be warned that parking is a gamble, you might get lucky and be able to park fairly easily, or you might have the worst time trying to find a spot since everyone and their mom is here today. But when you are able to visit, it's in the dead center of Mitsuwa, and you won't miss it. The workers are really nice and friendly! If you're also hungry, the food court is right behind, which is really nice. I got the matcha strawberry latte and the regular matcha latte. I personally wasn't too big on the matcha strawberry, as I felt like the strawberry jam clashed with the ceremonial matcha used, and wasn't particularly that enjoyable. However, the regular matcha latte was really good! I think because it was just the average matcha latte with milk and the ceremonial matcha, nothing clashed and they both just complimented each other. Definitely visit Umacha if you're already at Mitsuwa and looking for a sweet treat, or are willing to gamble for parking :p
Umacha in Costa Mesa, is located in the super busy Mitsuwa marketplace. Parking is shared with the grocery store and it is a pain in the butt to find parking here during very busy hours. I would come in between the rush. You can find, Umacha, in the middle of the food court. Their setup is just like a bar which is kinda cool especially when the food court is packed and you can't find anywhere to sit. The bar area has a bunch of really neat plants. I absolutely loved looking at all of them. I'm a plant enthusiast but haven't had plants in a while, so I was enjoying the display. Umacha, offers some milk teas with or without cheese cream, fruit teas, lemonades, slush and coffees. I ordered the matcha donchan half sweet. This drink was so good. I loved how strong the matcha flavor came through. I highly recommend ordering this one. The next time I go back to Santoukka in the same food court, I am definitely coming back to try their other teas. That was a perfect dessert after my ramen dinner.
I had not been to this Mitsuwa in a while, so took a walk into the food court area and Umach caught my eye. I saw what the popular drinks were and ordered the number 1 drink called "Donchan" with less sugar and it was so good that I drove back the next day to get another one. Parking is a major hassle here. First day I got very lucky, but had to circle around about 3 times the second time around.
got the mango matcha at half sweetness which was ok. I wasn't a big fan of the matcha as it tasted too watered down and you can see that it's still grainy. the peach lemonade however was refreshing and good. I've tried their other drinks before and they were great I just wouldn't get the matcha here again
After a quick shopping trip to south coast mall, I stopped by umacha to pick up a drink before heading home. Smacked right in the middle of the food court is this boba shop. It was my first time so I asked for a few recommendations. I ended up getting their passionfruit tea which came with jelly, but I customized it with light boba, extra passionfruit, and extra ice. The worker was able to accommodate my requests without any issue. I was also able to sample their pumpkin milk tea, which was pretty good. As for my passionfruit, it was delicious. The Japanese tea flavor really came through. I would not only get that again, but I would also try their milk tea series next time. All in all, good service and good products make this place a a must try!

Yum yum! Ordered the Hojicha milk tea, 50% sweet, less ice. It comes with boba. I really enjoyed the milk tea but it was still too sweet for me. I'll have to adjust to even less than 50% next time. The boba was chewy though a tad soft because it was freshly cooked. It firmed up a bit as the ice cooled them down. The service was great and ladies who work there are very sweet. I like this spot because it's in Mitsuwa so you can do some great food and snack shopping and enjoy the little food court. I definitely plan to come back when I have more time to eat and shop! read more
Okay. For the price paid, we expected perfection. The drinks were too sweet and the boba proportion was not worth the additional dollar they charged. The workers were nice, but our expectations were not met. * Marry Me Mango: 7/10 - couldn't taste any tea * Jasmine Green Tea + Cheese Cream: 8/10 - good but way too sweet * Brown Sugar Boba (Topping): 6/10 - way too sweet They're located in the center of the food court inside of Mitsuwa Marketplace. You should be able to find a table to sit at, but the place lacks major air conditioning so I wouldn't recommend staying for long. There are a lot of other boba shops in the area that are way better. Super fast service and cheap boba! The peach wasn't too sweet and the jasmine milk really came with free boba! Overall would get again if in the plaza. This place is more of a get and go bc of the seating. read more
A new matcha addition to the Mitsuwa Costa Mesa food court. I came by one weekday evening, and they were really busy. There was a healthy line, but service seemed to be quick. I ordered a regular Iced Kyoto Matcha Latte. Can't find my receipt but my CC statement says I spent $5.93 with tax. You get 25 rewards points to sign up for their loyalty program and 1 point per $1 spent. In this case I got 5 rewards points. Not sure what you get at what point level. The drink was really well balanced. You can taste the high quality ceremonial matcha. It was creamy but a tad sweet. Next time I'll ask for less sweet. Definitely something I would come back for again. read more
Was craving a matcha boba drink and decided to try this boba shop located in the Mitsuwa food court! They have some interesting combos of drinks as well as common ones. Server was friendly and my drink came out at a decent time. I kind of feel like the drink portions are kind of on the smaller side. I ordered the Matcha Donchan and it wasn't really my thing. It was too sweet and brown sugary for me. I feel like the brown sugar and cheese foam's sweetness overpowered the matcha. The boba was perfectly cooked though! 3/5 Overall, I feel like they have quality drinks here, I just didn't really like what I got. I'd probably try a different drink here next time though. read more

Umacha is a new boba spot open up right inside the Mitsuwa Market food court! There is a decent amount of parking here with an underground parking garage as well. Once you walk in to the food court area, this spot is right in the center and is easily spotted with its big sign and floral decor. They have a good selection of different drinks here ranging from milk teas, fruit teas, and their signature cheese cream drinks. I wanted to go with something light so I opted for the Hojicha Milk Tea and it had just the right amount of sweetness and roasted notes. Overall, this is a great grab and go spot or you can even sit down in the food court to enjoy your drink and any other goodies you get. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Come stop by here to do some grocery shopping and grab some boba while you are at it! read more

Visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was not busy. I was able to order quickly and get my drink quickly as well. I got a #2 matcha donchan you are not allowed to make any modifications to this drink. The brown sugar boba was delicious and hot seems like it was freshly made. The drink though was just okay it was small for the price point and it was lacking flavor. The matcha was not strong it tasted like I was drinking water with boba. I didn't care for the cheese foam either. read more
New addition to Mitsuwa Marketplace food court. The store's greenery decor caught our attention immediately, it looked so aesthetic. The staff was friendly and offered us sample of genmaicha milk tea, which had sweet, nutty, butter flavor. I'm more of a strong tea base fan, so I went ahead with hojicha milk tea, which had a slightly smoky flavor. Waiting time was about 20 min. The milk tea was okay, but still missing tea hint. They don't have crystal boba on the menu, and sadly the brown sugar boba made my drink too sweet to finish. Hope to see some improvement in the near future. Design of the cup is so adorable, the staff were very friendly, and there was quick service. The booth is decorated very nicely and was clean although since it was in the middle of the food court, customers waiting in line constantly had to move out of the way of passerby. The drink itself was tasty, boba is really chewy. Get light ice for medium drinks or it'll be too watered down by the end. I recommend if you want a sweet drink after your meal! read more

Really wanted a matcha drink, so stopped in the Mitsuwa food court where this was located. I tried the Matcha Donchan because of all of the photos I saw and it looked tasty. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy it as much as I was expecting. I got it with oat milk and it could have been my bad, but the boba balls became hard. Even though I've had cheese foam before, I was not a fan of the way this specific cheese foam mixed in with the drink. I would like to try the other drinks if I ever come back to the area. read more
Located in the central area of the food court, Umacha specializes in Cream Bubble Tea, which adds a layer of cream for additional sweetness. One positive note that I experienced at Umacha was their service. The person who took my order was nice. The wait for the order was around three minutes. What I ordered: DONCHAN (Cheese Cream + Brown Sugar + Milk + Boba) - The drink was overly sweet. I wished there was a way to control the sweetness level because it was too sensitive to enjoy. Also, I am personally lactose, but I am seldom impacted by drinking milk. Sadly, I was affected by the drink and did not enjoy the moment after. read more
This is a cute boba shop, located inside the mitsuwa food court. Their popular drink seems to be the brown sugar milk drink. Workers are still learning how to process everything, but they are friendly. They do answer questions if you have any. I love hojicha, so I was happy to try the hojicha milk tea. The hojicha milk tea comes with boba. A lot of their drinks come with the brown sugar boba, so do keep that in consideration when adjusting sweetness. My friend and I both got our drinks at less sweetness. It didn't take long for the drinks to come out. My friend had ordered a hot hojicha milk tea. She didn't expect there to be boba, but there was! Since her drink was hot, the boba made the drink sickingly sweet. She wasn't a fan of her drink. My iced hojicha milk tea tasted milky, with a hint of tea. The tea flavor was very light. The boba, though, is super soft and chewy. I'm not sure if I can see myself coming back, since I like my drinks to have that tea flavor. read more
Who knew this was attached to the Mitsuwa market? I didn't see signs outsides anywhere. Love me is cheese cream, strawberry jam and milk (oat for me). This was a thick consistency as you can see from the photo. The taste was good but don't expect a milky consistency. Chunks of strawberry and thick cream- just be sure to mix it well before sipping that thru a straw. The black tea lemonade had slices of lemonade. Without sweetener this could be tart. Pure black tea is good if you want it strong. Staff was helpful and our order came quick, but it was also an hour before closing. A busy food hall to come back to and will be back to try other drinks. read more

Located inside Mitsuwa at the center of the food court. They are known for cheese cream foam but I got the milk teas. We got the Brown Sugar Milk Tea, it came with boba. Also got Hojicha w/o boba. I didn't customize any of it except for less ice on both. The hojicha could have used 75% sweet. Love that their prices are reasonable, average of $5.50 for the regular sized milk tea. If you want something quick, inexpensive then this is the place to go. Not exactly quality but decent for the price. read more

Wanted to just grab a quick drink after eating at the Mitsuwa food court, so I wasn't really expecting much out of a standard boba shop located inside a foodcourt but was actually pretty impressed when I tried their donchan. Pretty pricey but it was pretty decent and very rich in flavor. Definitely not bad a place just to wash your palate after eating at all of mitsuwa's salty food! For what it is, it was really good! It's inside the Mitsuwa market so you definitely have to compete for the parking. The drink comes out quick and the lady who took my order was super sweet. 10/10 for the boba texture, I can taste the actual tea and the amount of cream they give isnt too much which suits my liking. read more

A new boba shop has opened in the heart of the Mitsuwa food court and I was able to stop by and grab a drink after having dinner yesterday! I ordered their Marry Me Mango drink which was mango with jasmine green tea and mango jelly! They make drinks to order so it can take a little while especially when there's a line! Service was quick and friendly and they currently offer 20% off your order if you follow them on Instagram! My drink was refreshing and sweet! If you prefer your drinks to be less sweet, I recommend 50 percent sweetness and you can also adjust your ice levels too! The mango jelly was a great topping for my drink and they give you plenty of it! Overall ambience is pretty good with most of it coming from the food court and people dining and walking around. Their menu isn't the biggest I've seen compared to other shops I've been to but they seemingly focus on teas with cheese foam here but they also have fruit teas like what I had earlier and slushes and lemonades. I can see myself coming back again for a quick drink in the future whenever I stop by to shop or dine, Umacha is a good new addition to the food court! read more

This boba shop is in the Mitsuwa market food court and is a convenient place to grab boba after grabbing a bite for dinner at a nearby stall. We ordered their hoji cha milk tea boba and their coffee boba. Both drinks were good, but on the sweeter side so I'd recommend getting the drink less sweet if you don't like overly sweet drinks. They also allow you to get less ice as a customization for the drink as well. The boba balls are pretty good and are not too mushy as well. Their service is good and for the time being, they will give you a discount if you follow their Instagram. The food court can get busy, but they remodeled it and it seems a bit more spacious than before. Overall, a decent boba shop that we wouldn't mind going back to. read more
Umacha is located inside the Mitsuwa Marketplace food court area. It's a little island bar with bar like seating which is pretty nice. They specialize in different sorts of teas and matcha drinks. I was automatically drawn to the most common drink which is the Black Milk Tea with Boba. I saw them make fresh boba right there which added to the idea of freshness. The drink looks great as the color and everything looked good. The flavor was just alright. In my opinion the drink was hot when made and it was shaken with ice and it watered it down too much. Instead of having black tea refrigerated adding hot tea with ice to cool it down really takes away from the bold texture with milk and the flavor. I see that the quality and effort it there but I think it's a solid 3 stars (average) from my experience. read more

Boba is very chewy. We went basic with the Doncha and I like the cheese cream a lot. It has a nice sweet and salty flavor. It's their special point for this shop so I'd recommend something off the cheese cream side of the menu read more

This was my first time at Umacha and I got the Marry Me Mango with Mango Jelly! I went in the evening so it was a little busy but my drink still came out quickly! The mix of Jasmine Green Tea, Mango Jelly, Mango Syrup, and mint was a good combo! I got the regular sweetness and I thought it was just the right amount of sweetness! read more
