This is definitely one of those spots you go for a special occasion, company event, or if you have extra dollars to blow to wine and dine real fine. Personally, we were there for a friends birthday and went all out. This restaurant is luxe with rolled toilettes and mouth wash in the bathroom. We jumped in with an order of espresso martinis and the caviar tower. The caviar was divine, served on a beautiful platter with blinis, lemon zest, pickled onions, fruits, and crème fraiche. It wasn't long until the full table was doing caviar bumps. We couldn't get enough of it. Other standout appetizers included the bread plate, octopus, heirloom tomato salad, fattoush, Jerusalem salad, tuna tartare, and artichokes. The focaccia on the bread plate was shaped like a bialy and was to die for. It was perfectly fresh and warm with an olive oil finish. The melt in your mouth tuna tartare was also a stand out. All of the dishes were made perfectly, it's hard to pick a favorite so it comes down to preference of taste. I prefer sour cream, tzatziki, and labneh in moderation, so the Jerusalem salad, fattoush, and octopus were smaller bites for me but still all around incredible and beautifully plated. I was a huge fan of the egg yolk in the tomato salad and how it provided a sunny runny pairing to the crisp acidity of the heirloom harvest. For our mains we ordered all of the meats. I had the rib eye cooked medium rare and loved the plated side of pink salt and black pepper where I was able add additional seasoning my steak to my liking. Around the table we ordered lamb chops, tenderloin, and the catch of the day (grouper). I wasn't able to try it all as we were swimming in food at this point but everyone was pleased. For our sides we had asparagus, truffle fries, and root puree. Everything was mouth watering and I could truly eat this meal again and again. Overall, I'd love to have another opportunity to visit a Doris Metropolitan. Thank you Houston!

It was perfectly crispy on the outside and wonderfully soft and hot on the inside. Honestly, I would come back just for the bread. We started with the tuna tartare, which unexpectedly reminded me of dumplings. While it wasn't bad, because of the flavor, it kind of reminded me of raw dumplings, which threw me off a little. The octopus, however, was great. It was tender, though my personal preference would have been for a little more char. We visited on a Monday night to take advantage of the half-off Wagyu special. They bring the steak out on a cutting board and light a stem of sage to smoke the meat before slicing it table side. It was cooked just how I liked it, medium rare, where it's still pink and tender but not bloody. It was a fantastic presentation, and the truffle fries were a great side. To finish, we ordered the crème brûlée because the lychee foam and rose cream intrigued me. It was served outside of the traditional ceramic dish, which was a first for me, but it was absolutely delicious. I would definitely order it again. Service was incredibly friendly and water refills were prompt. It is definitely pricier, but we had an overall wonderful time and left stuffed.

Of course, its very location provides a hint of the opulence you can expect, especially considering it's located within this Michelin Key property's lavish lobby. At every turn, our server and the rest of the staff was gracious and attentive, and they went above and beyond by anticipating our needs which is where establishments truly shine. So how was the food? It was pretty good. Yes, I just said, "pretty good," which means nothing stood out as outstanding. I didn't taste anything that, in itself, would compel me to go back. We came to celebrate my daughter's birthday, and we had a wonderful time. We came for the sushi, and the sushi didn't disappoint. They have a lot of other options, they have brunch on the weekends and they have a regular menu if you're not a Sushi fan. Service was OK, our server wasn't great, but she wasn't bad either, there were only three tables busy at the restaurant, but for some reason, she will take a long time to come and check on us, she forgot to place the appetizer order which we had to cancel and the food took a long time, even though there was very few people at Restaurant. There was another server. He was very helpful and he took care of us when we needed. We ordered the Bee dessert, but they also brought a small cake courtesy of the restaurant for my daughter's birthday Food was delicious, the restaurant is stunning, service is just OK

The strawberry nojito had a nice mint flavor while the spiced pear was very tangy and fizzy. Would definitely come back again to try the actual restaurant menu! My 35th birthday was no exception, and after coming across The Green Room on TikTok, I knew I had to check it out in person before making the choice. My first meeting with Brian, the manager, went pretty well. I shared my vision for a "Blue Lemonade" brunch, think Cool Blue & Luminous Lemon, the colors for the spring, and he understood what I was trying to create, somewhat. We secured a Sunday date, because who doesn't love a Sunday brunch, worked through a custom family-style menu, discussed the flow of the event, and everything came together beautifully. One thing I really appreciated was being able to come in that morning to decorate and make the space my own. The Green Room is already a beautiful quaint venue, but it also serves as the perfect space if you're someone who enjoys designing an experience. We welcomed my guests with a signature drink I came up with called the Blue Lemon Theory. It was a blueberry-lemon French 75 that perfectly complemented the theme and was a crowd favorite. I also had mimosas with several juice options including pineapple-guava, cranberry, and strawberry. For brunch, I opted for a family-style menu, and 95% of the dishes were a hit. We started with einkorn biscuits served with honey butter and fig jam and whipped ricotta toast on toasted brioche. The biscuits weren't good but the jam made it manageable. For the mains, we had brisket hash, strawberry mascarpone pancakes, patatas bravas, confit roasted chicken, scrambled eggs and black garlic shrimp. The pacing of the food was excellent, everything came out fresh, and family style encouraged everyone to share and enjoy the meal together. What truly elevated the experience, though, was the service. Every member of the staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely kind. They also managed to be present without ever feeling intrusive. That's a difficult balance to achieve, especially because my party size was 24, but they did it well. We also played our own curated playlist via Spotify over the restaurant speakers, which made the event feel even more personal. Between the music, my décor, cocktails/mocktails, and incredible food, the ambiance felt intimate and was exactly what I had envisioned. My brunch started at 12:30 p.m. and we celebrated until around 4:30 p.m. A find was certainly had. If you're looking for a venue in Houston for a birthday, bridal shower, baby shower, brunch, or any intimate celebration, I genuinely cannot recommend The Green Room enough. Brian and his team helped transform an idea I had in my head into an unforgettable experience for me and my guests. I'll always remember my Blue Lemonade 3.5 brunch, and The Green Room played a huge part in making it so special.

One thing I immediately noticed--and something echoed in several other reviews--was how loud the dining room felt despite only a handful of tables being occupied. Conversation sometimes required raising our voices more than expected. I also found the tables themselves somewhat uncomfortable; the oversized pedestal bases left very little legroom and made seating feel cramped. Service: absolutely excellent, our meal was paced perfectly, each course arriving at just the right time, and our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming throughout the evening. Drinks: fantastic, they had a pretty diverse wine menu and all of the cocktails (and mocktails) we ordered were fresh and different than a normal take than what you'd regularly order Food: overall pretty great. Details below: - parker house rolls with the butters were incredible, I had to cut myself off - Hen of the Woods Fritter - not bad, but were so hard and made it difficult to eat - Patatas Bravas - very tasty and well executed - Heirloom Tomato Tarte Tatin - A standout dish that we thoroughly enjoyed - Wagyu Sliders - Delicious and packed with flavor - Black Garlic Shrimp - delicious, the polenta was a burst of flavor - Rotolo alla Zozzona - creative twist to lasagna - Salmon en Croûte -Unfortunately the only disappointment of the evening. The salmon was noticeably undercooked and had an unpleasantly slimy texture. - Dessert - profiteroles was the perfect ending touch They also greeted us with a complimentary glass of champagne which was a nice touch. I think if they perfect some of the food and figure out how to make the room less noisy it is a great place to go for a date night or night out with friends!

You can also street park. I had dined at Savoir a few times before for brunch and dinner. I like that Patton's is an intimate speakeasy steakhouse tucked at the back. You wind your way past the kitchen to an area that's dimly lit with low lighting and candles. We were seated at a cute area near the bar that looked like they transformed bookshelves into seating with a small round table in between. Very cozy. I ordered the filet with truffle butter, mashed potatoes, and a side of creamed corn. All of the proportions were full size for sharing. I wish we ordered something different compared to both of us getting mashed potatoes. Next time maybe! The filet cooked medium wasn't as tender to cut through with what seemed like a butter knife. Unlike other places, I wasn't given a real steak knife. I thought the truffle butter had a bit of sweetness to it, which I didn't like. The mashed potatoes were great, and the creamed corn was good. It wasn't anything special and tasted similar to Rudy's creamed corn. I enjoyed the crab cake with salad and the creme brulee (not on HRW menu but upgraded for $3). I had a bite of the chocolate cake which was good and wasn't too rich. The strawberries & cream cocktail was my favorite, so I had two. Service was great, and we were regularly checked on. Leftovers are boxed for you and placed in a handled bag to-go. I loved the ambiance, and while I wasn't entirely blown away by the food, it still would be a nice place for an intimate date night or evening with friends.
