Had such an amazing experience at Trybal with my friends visiting from out of town for my birthday celebration! The atmosphere was top notch, something like my friend from NYC would get to experience. The music was phenomenal. The food was incredible. Kadar the bar manager was a whole vibe and made my birthday celebration so special! Thank you so much Trybal for creating such a unique and important space in Denver!

Let's talk about vibes ! The decor inside this place is amazing ! Don't walk too fast because you might miss it. Their happy hour is great with a great selection of cocktails & crafted drinks. The food was OK. The spices really get to you so your eyes might start burning . That is my only complaint about this place . Overall, it's super cute, cozy, and Afrocentric . I would definitely revisit this place only if I sat outside .

I came from Houston with Trybal in the MUST DO category of the trip. I really wanted to love this space and still encourage people to go since the big kinks may be growing pains. I hope the owners take this as a learning curve and make changes so they can survive. #1 I've been to many Speakeasy's and this just misses the beat. There were people standing around like it was more of a club or lounge, I could see outdoors so there was a lack of the dark and moody vibe that comes with Speakeasy's . Maybe a proper reservation system will help eliminate this. #2...the drink was horrible. I ordered an Espresso Martini and it came thick and only covered 1/4 of the glass. I asked where's the rest of my drink and the server said with a little bit of an attitude "that is the way it comes". The flavor was thick & chocolate. Very disappointing. The positives - that same server made a different drink that was whiskey based and asked if I wanted it. I considered but since I was on Vodka I didn't want to switch. It was nice that whether that drink was accidental or not, I liked that he circled back and tried to make it right. #2 the space and decor was done in nice taste #3 the music was also great and the location is good in the event you wanted to hop around.

    Motherland plate. Beef & plantains.

The space, the food, the service, the portions, the drinks were all 5 stars. Super cute vibes and very bespoke yet friendly and welcoming. GF had the chicken I had the beef, both were phenomenal! Food prep & presentation were top notch. Excited to visit again and enjoy some live jams!

This is such a beautiful space ! The people here are incredible. Ryan and I went here with our friends Raina and Khalil and we sat in a comfy corner with a cushiony couch and pillows. We got delicious and beautiful cocktails while the dj'd played great music. They do a lot of other live music and events here too. It was friendly and welcoming and beautiful artwork throughout the place. Trybal Speakeasy uses a Knowledge Based Entry system based on African Culture. Ebonee was our waitress, she was super cute with a great attitude! She payed attention to EVERYTHING and was extremely on point. It is very humid inside but otherwise amazing vibes. Although, it is not a speakeasy. It's very open about the fact that it's a bar. From the outside it looks like a bar, step inside and it's a bar. Absurdly small portion for the $9 potatoes. Were not crispy either. However the plantains were excellent and if I were to go again I would 100% get those.. Soursop Milk- Have never had soursop before. I'm not the biggest fan of soursop but I can tell that it's a very well made cocktail. Guava Glow with Vodka- Refreshing and nice! You can really taste the passion fruit Overall, I rate it a 4/5.

They've gotten do much busier though. There must've been over 30 people at the bar getting drinks. But the 4 bartenders at the bar were slinging them out quickly. Even though they were fast the drinks were extremely well made and the customer service wad amazing. The ambiance was great!! Everyone was here to have a good time. But no one was overly rowdy or raucous. People were friendly and conversational but stayed in their lanes also. Even though all these years have passed. And the pandemic has ravaged many businesses. The quality and service here still makes this place one of the best whiskey bars around!!!

Their cocktails are consistently excellent, but the standout for me is the Gentleman's Buck. It's perfectly balanced, refreshing, and endlessly drinkable. I still wish they'd bring it back onto the happy hour menu! The staff makes the experience even better. Sam and Joshua are fantastic bartenders - friendly, welcoming, and genuinely great at what they do. They make the bar feel like a place you want to return to again and again. And if you're a whiskey fan, their Whiskey Wednesday events are always a blast. You can learn something new, try something interesting, and enjoy the lively atmosphere. Seven Grand delivers on all fronts: great drinks, great people, and a great location. Highly recommended!

Once you get to the front door, they'll check your ID before letting you in, just to make sure there's enough seating to accompany your party. They also charge automatic gratuity if the party is larger than 6, I believe. The interior design is awesome with lots of cozy seats, fitting all party sizes. It's a great place to meet up with friends, while still providing a moody atmosphere if you want to bring someone on a date. The bartenders are pretty friendly and very knowledgeable. They have both a paper menu which has their latest concoctions, as well as their standard menu (ask for the deck of cards). My friends and I (4 of us total) came on a Friday night and it had a good amount of people without feeling too cramped. We ordered a wide variety of drinks, starting with a round of espresso martinis (which I would highly recommend). We had a few more rounds with each of us ordering separately. One of my friends asked our bartender for a suggestion and she really enjoyed her drink. However, my other friend got a suggested drink and did not like it at all. The bartender was kind enough to swap out his drink, which our group definitely appreciated. I'm definitely coming back and bringing any of my visitors who can appreciate a good cocktail.

It's tucked into the Milk Market alley, up some stairs, halfway through a kitchen, then down an elevator. But that's kind of the fun of it. It feels like a little scavenger hunt. Once inside, the experience is super cool. They give you a deck of cards to choose your cocktail from, all organized by alcohol like tequila, gin, whiskey, etc. That part alone is such a fun concept. The only thing that's a bit mid is the actual drinks themselves. The experience is so unique that it almost feels like they're hoping you forget the drinks aren't anything spectacular. It's definitely a cool bar if you're trying to impress someone, just don't expect mind blowing cocktails. Prices vary quite a bit too. Some cocktails are around $14, others go up to $25ish, with most sitting around $18. We ordered a margarita and a White Lady, and with tip it ended up being over $50. So take that how you will.
