Been coming here since 2005...won't go anywhere else...went into the service for 5 years in 06 had to get my nails done other places and they never ever lasted as my "True Nails" did & cost twice as much typically. The owners are operating an amazing family business & I love love love them...I couldn't wait & boasted about this place even to other salons after their manicures didn't last...straight up like... "You know this Gentelman Joe at True nails in AZ...his nails lasted 4 weeks without a break & your telling me that in 1 week this crack in my gel is normal????" Trust me girls & guys, I work with plants for a living my hands are IN THE DIRT, quite literally. They hold up to the abuse, I tell them what I need, and they give me just that! Everyone there seems to do an amazing Job but I like to stay faithful to Kathy & Joe who I've known over the years & have shown to be amazing kind people who can give one heck of a manicure. I brought a girlfriend here once in High School & she now drives all the way from Mesa with her sister, mom & daughter still 13 years later for every Mani & pedi! I'm telling you their awesome! This is my second time coming in for nails. Today I got a fill on my full set, it's been exactly 2 weeks since I initially got my full set put on. I feel my nails grew out quicker than normal with my first set, accompanied by some of the nails lifting. Today I went in for my biweekly fill and left unsatisfied. From far away the nails look decent, but up close you can see the fill line ( where my old acrylic meets the new acrylic), gel flooding some of the cuticles, jagged edges, and when I went to pay my total was $120 (including my daughters mani/pedi which was $65) and paid cash. I asked the woman to break a $20 for me so I could leave a tip and she gave me $15 to which I told her my total was $120. I ended up letting her keep the $5 as a tip but it rubbed me the wrong way regardless. Quick service but poor quality. read more

This has been the best nail salon I've been to, I've tried other places, and they cut it in a way that I end up having an ingrown nail. The staff has done a great job on my toenails.  My wife has come here for many years. The staff might sound with an attitude but trust me they're are friendly and kind. I love how they all wear white coats makes them look professional in uniform. Even with them being busy Tina was so sweet and took her time on me. Loved the leg massage. This salon is always hit or miss. You are greeted like royalty or totally ignored. Your pedicure can be great or not so great. Place no longer looks like they even try to clean it. Towels are old and dirty. Last visit was terrible. Ignored for 30 minutes although I had an appointment. Was seated in an old dirty pedicure chair. Elderly man that did my nails had little experience doing nails . I really felt bad for him . Will not return . Would not recommend. The quality of this salon has definitely gone down. Everything feels rushed and I don't leave feeling as good as I used to. Months ago, I could have been treated by any nail tech and get great results and a quality massage. I've been coming here with my family since I was a little girl. I have been going to this salon for years. The original owners Joe and Kathy were amazing their kids were small then they have since grown up and gone to college that is how long I have been going. However since The new owners have been in place the service has declined. My fingernails get worse and the price keeps going up. I went today and asked for them to be cut down. When my husband got home he thought they had all broken I said No that is how she cut them and they are not filed straight. I am going to need a whole new set but for what I paid I have to wait until I can afford to get them done again which is only about once a month for me. The girls who do the pedicures who have been there for awhile are great but the new owner is not. She no personality and is always in a huge hurry. I have has trouble with lifting and breakage which I never had before. When I get them done again I will not be wasting my money here. worst nail salon I've ever been to, they used 2 different pink polishes to do my nail color an toe color when I specifically specified the same pink color multiple times, they still messed up the color, sat there for almost 3 hours an spent $110.00...the quality was absolutely pathetic looking...a 5 year old could of done a better job, these place has really went down hill...I'll never go back!!!! I should have known with the difficulty making the appointment, then I had to confirm the appointment...that a horrible experience lay ahead. I arrived early and was not greeted or acknowledged upon entering. After a 15 minute wait, the front desk person less than five feet away said we'd need masks. Arizona and Glendale are mask free. Granted a private business can establish their own requirements, just do me a favor and let me know in advance or tell me when I enter. If you're looking for a rude condescending judgemental nail sweat shop, then this is your place. Otherwise go to AZ Nails just down the street for a fantastic pedicure. read more

I've been going to True Nails since my daughter was 16, she is now 42. Kathy, Diamond we're good friends, their talents were beyond good. Last July my big toe had split. I decided I wouldn't go back until it grew out. I finally got to go in December. I notice Kathy wasn't there, or Joe. I later found out the shop was sold. So another one of my favorites did my pedicure. I felt so rushed. When you get a manicure, they massage your forearms, clean cuticles, shape nails. My last one, there was no massage. Now my pedicure, same thing. Now for both services I was out in 35 minutes. I also noticed the girls were serious. I love that there was smiling, and laughing, which never bothered me. The atmosphere is different. I received my cosmetology license in 1981, and what I saw he has to have these girls on a quota. Which means they are cutting things out to make that quota. I just called 2 days ago to make appointment with Diamond. I was informed that she quit. Diamond has been there 21 years. So now I know something is wrong. If you look at reviews Kathy,Diamond, Tina are very good. Unfortunately now, I have to find a new shop. If you like any of the other girls, yes keep going they need to work. My niece asked for graduation nails and was not happy with the results based on what she asked for. We asked to take the paint off and we would pay another shop to fix them. The staff became rude and irate and said we would have to wait for an hour for this. As soon as the adult that was with her walked out, they began snapping the nails off aggressively. They were rude and unprofessional. If you have teenagers or would like to be treated with respect and get great customer service, this is not the place for you. I found this place on yelp because the place I've been going to was getting too expensive and they were too pushy with extras. So I popped in and was very impressed. They have almost 200 different colors for gel polish. The place is very clean and welcoming. The building is pretty small and not much sitting area for waiting but they're fast enough that it's not a problem. The prices are great for what you get. I will for sure make this my go to place for manicures and future pedicures. I had Kelly as my manicurist and she did an amazing job shaping my nails and applying the gel. Came here for the first time after seeing a lot of positive reviews on the Nextdoor App. Walking in on a Wednesday an hour after opening, I could tell that this place stays pretty busy. I requested a mani with dip powder and a gel pedicure. I was seated right away and didn't have to wait on a tech for either service. I have to keep my nails short and I opted for a more natural dip color and Kathy gave it some glam by adding a nice little design touch. This was my first time. They where very friendly. I got the basic pedicure. The girl was very gentle and did not cut to deep or rub to hard. But, I gave them a 5 star because. They are implementing the COVID-19 precautions. Anna uses old products. She gives you what she calls a outstanding girl and girl has no idea what to do. Be careful they over charge. I'm had a parachute the number2 that was 47$ coasts me 75$. Ann has known idea what her girls can do. I had a girl Kimberly that I didn't want to do my nails. Ann only wanted me to come in on her days off so no problem. I would think twice before I go back.
