I am not someone who normally gives reviews but I was so disappointed in my eyebrows services today that I had to let it be known. The lady that did my eyebrows keep saying that I was squinting that's why she had to repeat it. (Waxed the same spot 3 times). she ended up missing a whole line of hair in the middle area and waxing almost half my eyebrow off. I had thick eyebrows and I just wanted a clean up and she thinned me out so bad. I got in the car and was crying. She only gave me a 2 dollar discount when I should have walked out for free. I would not recommend. read more

I was getting my eyebrows waxed and I felt cuts and bruising. I asked if I was bleeding and the owner said No No! Well I got home and both my eyebrows are cut and bruised with sores! I am never going back there!! I'm in pain! read more

Beautiful place and the people were the sweetest bullies I ever came across. I should've noticed how empty the place was on a Sunday. Aren't good places normally packed on weekends? I went in for a regular manicure and a pedicure. Anyway, the adventure first started to go awry when my nail tech went for a smoke break while my feet soaked. I said no thank you I can't do cigarette smoke and started to get up to leave and then Linda came over and said she would take care of me. I noticed the nail clippers and other metal instruments were just on her cart and not in a sanitized wrapper. I pray they were sanitized and not just leftover from previous clients because she cut my toe while over aggressively trying to get to an ingrown toenail. Like it brought tears to my eyes cut me. She kept apologizing and I'm sitting there crying my eyes out but I had to ask for tissue. Other than that the pedicure was ok, definitely not the best ever. Then Kim joined for my manicure. First off she did not soak my hands....AT ALL! She just went straight into cutting my cuticles dry. She didn't clean the gunk from under my fingernails. She did however, have strong opinions about how and what should be put in my fingernails. White tips would be so nice and look natural. I wanted pink. She said no let me do white tips. We went round a few times before I gave in. Then she goes to do the white tips and I tell her I want regular polish. I get another argument with Linda jumping in and agreeing with Kim. I felt so defeated I just gave in and let her put the gel on my hands. Thankfully she asked what I wanted on my toes before she finished my hands. I finally found my backbone and voice when she tried to tell me I should get white tips to match my fingers. Well that did it I was firm and said I don't like white tips. I don't want them, I want pink. That lady complained the entire time she removed the white tips and painted my nails the color I requested. This color is apparently very hard to do a good job and will come off too easily. I should've pointed out maybe they shouldn't offer inferior products. You would think that would be it right? Wrong, even how I chose to pay was up for discussion and she tried to get me to use their in store atm to take out cash to pay them!!! I finally let out an f bomb and got no more arguments. I have never had to argue so much for a service I paid for to be what I want. I will never return simply because they would not listen to what I wanted. read more

I've been going to this place for a while. There's this new Asian young girl who's really good and does a great job with nails. I somehow usually end up getting the owner Andy to do my nails and he is really rough. He nicked my fingers with the rotating tool and file three times already. I already have sensitive skin and I've warned him to be gentle but he always makes my nails/fingers hurt after getting my nails done. I won't be coming to this place again for that reason. read more

Went in for a manicure, feels like a nail polish only. Was expecting a soaking, cutting cuticles, hand massage and a pleasant conversation. Ladies were busy singing among themselves, no soaking, got cuticles drilled and nails painted. Will not be returning for paid 40.00 for something I did not get. Ladies are in need of customer service training. read more

There's such a mix of 5 stars and 1 stars, but my experience here was definitely amazing. I walked in and they took me immediately, I was asked what I wanted and I got exactly that. Everyone working there was friendly and respectful and my nail artist was so gentle and kind!! Asked me many times if I was okay with the shape before continuing and had the exact color I wanted which exceeded my expectations because it even had sparkles in the pink!! I asked for glitter and she chose the best matching one for my pink set, I could not be more satisfied. Definitely will be back for a fill and probably a pedicure in the future with my boyfriend! read more

I bought two sets one for me and one for my cousin. A few days later my cousins had been chipping off and 4 of my nails popped off. I figured id have to call the bank for a refund because I don't live in the state and the nail salon has filed a reclaim almost a month later which drew my account under and now i have no money to buy food for my pets or gas to get to work. The person who did our acrylics used a fan instead of UV, ive never seen thats before and i think thats why they didn't stay on. The photo below is the only photo i took from when they started falling off. I should've taken more. read more

***WORST EXPERIENCE*** Warning- second time in here. I came in @ 10:45am today for a simple pedicure with gel. I told the man doing it that I needed to leave by 12:30. Giving them 1.5 hours to do this. He did the entire pedicure, rushing the painting part. Didn't fill the acrylic on one of my toes, said I was rushing him the entire time. Extremely hostile towards me, so I was getting up to leave since he was raising his voice at me. He proceeded to stand infront of me & stop me from leaving no matter which direction I tried to go. His wife hugged me to keep him away from me. He ran to the front door to lock me in. I dialed 911 from inside the building and had to have Peoria police department come. Still charging me for the work they did. I paid 30.00 dollars and left. Even with police present he was saying he wishes me dead. Several racial comments & acting unprofessional. It's the most unprofessional business experience in the entire 15 years I've been having my nails done. I of course went to a better establishment to fix the unfinished work, and they said it was one of the worst jobs he had ever seen. The BBB has been called, and hopefully he will be unable to treat anyone else like this. read more

Absolute worst service. I asked for my acrylics to be taken off, and I wanted to keep my natural nail length. the lady then proceeded to cut vertically through the acrylic nail and my natural nail. I then had asked for an acrylic tip with dip powder. Not only did she use the wrong size nail tips, she did not know how to apply the dip powder correctly. each nail was drilled down to no product 3 different times because she kept messing up or would drill to deep. Keep in mind she was still trying to get the dip on my nails after an hour and a half. The nails were all different thicknesses, and when I finally had enough the guy offered to fix it, I just wanted them taken off because they were about to break. He didn't believe me so I popped on off right in front of him. instead of taking them off he just clipped the tips of the nails and said there you go. Also my experience included: mosquitoes in the building, vaping inside, being shown/recorded on FaceTime without permission unsanitary equipment, used on multiple people without any cleaning read more

My pedicure was not as expected. I read a bunch of good reviews of this place so i had high expectations . The lady who did my pedicure was so fast and she didnt shape my toe nails so they look all crooked . The gel was not applied right , it is bumpy and faded in some parts. It is super messy and she didnt even cut my toe nails or anything . No massage as well. Super rude. Towards the end when i was waiting for a spot to do my full set i saw a biggg cockroach walking across the room so i just paid and left . Never coming back again to this place . The lady who did my friends nails also messed up her pedicure really bad like she did not know what she was doing. Really bad pedicures and the place smells like fish. read more

I recommend Andy, he's so fast but efficiently does yours nails and makes them look so good. The workers are so kind and inviting. Also Andy was very gentle with my hands so it wasn't forceful. Also made sure that I got what I wanted like the shape, color, and design. read more

This was a wild experience. Like, my day could have been a short story written by Hunter S. Thompson. I walked in and it was a bit odd and cluttered. There were no clients there. Which is also odd for a nail salon in AZ. The guy who greeted me was nice. I just wanted a gel manicure. The gal that started was a hot mess. Her fingernails were disgusting. She was hobbling around confused, or maybe drunk? She proceeded to remove my old gel polish with a dremel then a nail file. She was essentially filing my flesh more than my nails. I asked her to shorten my nails. Nothing. I don't think she understood a word I said. She kept saying "sorry" and "okay?" and saying "1,2,3." She jabbed under my nail so hard with the pointy tool that my under nail bled. After sitting through the jumbled, long mess of her taking off my old polish, and doing some sort of sloppy manicure (using dirty instruments) she started the color. It was not at all like the color on the sample ring. I asked for a different color. That one was worse. On the 3rd color choice I chose a cat eye and THANK THE GODS, she wasn't able to do those so they switched me to Helen. Helen was much better, and did a good job. But, more dirty tools were used. Another client came in to get new acrylics, but the guy was like arguing with her about what she wanted so she walked out. Then he came over to me to complain about her. I almost walked out, too, so I get her. The place was messy and dirty, the staff were bizarre acting and had dirty nails (like, you work at a nail salon...). I was glad that I walked out with decent nails after all of that, but I hope I don't end up with some hand disease from how unsanitary it was. I would give 1 star if Helen hasn't redeemed the place. Would not recommend. read more

Waited for a manicure 2 hours after my pedicure just to have the worse service ever. Not only did the guy keep pushing a color at me I didn't want but then he did a terrible job after I gave in. I was cut, all of my nails are uneven, the dip powder bled into the next, and I didn't even get a simple flower design I had requested twice. And when I asked for the design at the end he said no sorry and walked away. I will never come back to LUX and I will tell everyone else about my experience. read more

Needed a nail place and this place is across the street from where I live. I figured hey it's my bday next week I'll splurge so I did the volcano pedicure and omg did that feel great. I did the tropical one and it smelt so good. Linda did a great job. Than was time for my manicure. David did a fantastic job with my nails their so beautiful. Pros wait time was not bad great service friendly Cons it does get busy so make an appointment. David does take smoke breaks but it's not bad he does it in between parts like getting the powder for nails than he disappears and finished all my nails and he was gone again. Overall I think I found my new nail salon can't wait to try a new design next time read more

If I could write a review after every visit I would. This place is a gem. David does my nails and he is a perfectionist!! My nails are flawless, every time. Not to mention when I started getting the SNS powder my nails were short stubs. They are so long and healthy now. Davis does them the same way every time and when there busy, he still does not rush! Went to get a manicure with Andy. I have to keep my nails short for work but I wanted a to try a sugar skull design. At first they were hesitant because of the length of nails and I knew that it would not turn out like the example picture because the length with different but they still said they couldn't do it. Eventually Andy said he would be willing to try the design and it came out great for being a short nail. He was still able to get a good amount of detail in there. Definitely coming back for another design soon. I would give this place 5 stars but the first manicure I had was way different than the second one. The second one did not include a hand massage, cleaning, or moisturizer. read more

I went to Lux's nails spa this past weekend for a basic pedicure. A lady came around and sold me on this 5 treatment pedicure call Volcano Spa! At first I was thinking I'm not about to spend $50 on no pedicure. But let me tell you guys, it was the BEST pedicure Ive EVER had in Arizona. It also came with a foot & leg scrub, callus remover, paraffin wax, Hot stones, lotion massage on both legs and feet for 10 to 15 minutes. It was amazing! And guys I'm not too fond of the callus remover but when I tell you my feet and heels have never been this soft in my life I was very very shocked and pleased with the service . Ask for Jade she was AMAZING! And she took her time and made sure I enjoyed my first time experience. I definitely would will be going back and taking my wife with me this time! P.S. I fell asleep a couple times not going to lie lol read more

Really disappointed in this salon workers customer service. For months I had stiruggled with finding a good salon that does dip powder nails that actually last. About a little over a month I went to Lux's Nail Salon for the first time. I loved my nails, they lasted about a month no cracking just normal growth. On Saturday 02/15 I went back, to my luck I didn't ask for the girls name that had originally done my nails. I tried to ask for her by pointing at where she sat at to the guy that greeted me at the door but since they were super busy the guy said he would do my nails, I hesitated a bit but since I didn't want to wait longer than I needed to I agreed to him doing my nails. Throughout the process I noticed a lot of things he was doing very different & slipping steps (I'm not a nail tech but I've been getting dip nails for many years that I've seen the process over & over again) but he finished & I left home. Sunday night, the next day my index finger broke I filed it down & convinced myself it wasn't enough to go back. Monday morning my middle finger gel started peeling & Monday night my thumb chipped from the corner cause the gel to come off & making my real nail be flimsy. I unfortunately woke up sick morning that I even had to call off for the next day as well, today when I got off of work, I decided to go back. When I got there I waited about 20 minutes before the same guy that had done my nails Saturday came over, when I saw it was the same man I asked if I could have someone else fix my nails as he had already done his job & this was the result. He immediately got defensive & told me I would have to wait, I asked how long & he said he didn't know as no one else in the salon could do dip nails. I then asked if anyone did acrylic as I could not wait there. He said yes but they would have to charge me which I found unfair because I had just paid 50 dollars three days before plus an eight dollar tip. He proceeded to say that things can happen & that he doesn't know what I went home & did & why hadn't I come back sooner. I told him I had been sick & that I wasn't doing anything out of the normal. I told him I had been getting dip nails for many years & I knew my nails were not supposed to look like that on the third day. He then started to say he didn't know why I had an attitude that he had been doing nails for longer than I've been born. I said I don't doubt it & I'm sure you've also had lots of complaints maybe this time the products you are using are just no good. He then proceeded to fix my nails in a very bad mood. I walked in there with intention to even tip whoever fixed them but with the way he was talking to me as soon as he finished I said thank you got up & left. I'm not one to ever be leaving a bad review but I think people especially when you work in business be respectful. At no point did I raise my voice or did my tone change when I was talking to this man. All I wanted was to get the quality of nails I had paid for three days before. I didn't even get the guys name but from what I could tell Saturday & today he was the only male worker there. read more

So I went in today with my friend and had such a horrible experience . This was my first time but this place was recommended. Mind u I got the same exact as my friend but the one who did a pedicure did a awesome job !! But the lady that did my feet and my nieces was horrible customer service . He (did my nieces feet ) acted like we couldn't afford it. My lady was not prepared and took it al out on me didn't do a good job at all on my feet never again will I go there again . Plus I paid $115 total such a waste of money She didn't even scrub my back heel nor put a clear vote on my toes !!!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SPOT !! Jeannine nieves read more

My daughter and I have been coming here for a few months now after getting screwed and crappy nails done else where. Andy is truly the best nail tech I ever had. He won't stop trying to get the design you want done until it's perfect for him. Devon has done mine and my daughters nails before and she does an amazing job as well. Well today I decided what the hell let's get my eyebrows done (never ever had them done before). I'll say this I'll never get them done again. The lady that did my brows wasn't listening to me when I told her that they aren't even and she just kept saying that they are perfect. I came out of the room pissed off and in tears. There might be someone there that could do a hell of a better job but I'm NOT trusting anyone again on the brows. read more

Whatever you do, DO NOT go here. You will waste your money. I got my nails done A FRESH FULL SET WITH ACRYLIC and within 4 days they started popping off as if I glued them on myself. I was better off getting press on nails because those last me longer. I should have known because as he was doing my nails he was clearly intoxicated and the nails kept falling off when he tried to glue them on. I called and asked if they could fix my nails and the owner said because it's been exactly 1 week he couldn't do anything and acted like this was my fault. My nails had started popping off before the 1 week mark but unfortunately, I work and was not able to call right away and was honestly super annoyed that I even had to deal with this so I was waiting until Thursday (the day I get off early) so I could go in. After ONLY 1 week they should be able to do something , after paying $75 to have my nails done that's just insane and terrible customer service. My nails usually last me almost 3 weeks but apparently not if you go here. The nails that did manage to stay on look terrible anyways and I even paid to have my cuticles cut for no reason because you clearly see that wasn't don't properly either. The acrylic looked horrible and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had IN MY LIFE. As someone who owns a company they should do better and learn that people don't want to pay $75 to have their nails look like a toddler did them. read more

Second time here, super fast bcuz they always work on me together. I love that. I usually get a pedicure and the dip. I loved the dip bcuz I color hair and that never stains my nails doing color on my clients. I loved both my girls and the prices are super affordable. If you want a luxury pedicure get the Volcano Spa, I got that the first time. I couldn't this this time bcuz my birthday is this Saturday and trying to save some $$. Anyways, I enjoy how not packed it is here. They played Christmas music the whole time. I also didn't feel pressured into anything. I knew exactly what I wanted. Craziest experience of my life. All I asked for was a pedicure. The man that was doing my pedicure was coughing all over my feet and kept wiping his nose then continue touching me. The owner put a trash bag over their kids body and began cutting his hair in the middle of the nail salon. This kid was then walking around the salon shirtless. One of the other kids offered me a water bottle but he put it in his mouth first. When the pedicure was almost over, he forgot to put topcoat on and started wiping off the polish by accident. Instead of fixing it, he just put topcoat over it and let me walk out with wonky nails. Will NEVER be back. read more

I don't mean to be rude at all, but I'm 90% sure Tammy cannot see, nor has she taken any type of training. Several times she was just rubbing the file on my skin and not my nail and had no idea. She made my cuticles worse when trying to clip them (without soaking my right hand) and she proceeded to buff them, then scrub them with a dry brush after attacking my skin with the clippers. It gets worse somehow. She painted one nail, put it in the lamp, let it cure, took it out. Painted the next nail, put it in the lamp, let it cure, took it out. I started thinking she may have been intoxicated at this point. My hands went in and out of the lamp 40 times for four coats of polish. The gel is already peeling up as I'm sitting in the car writing this review. Three arguments broke out between customers and staff members during the two long hours it took Tammy to do my nails. Several staff members were coughing. I genuinely feel like I'm on Punked right now with how this appointment went read more

My mom and I came for the first time to get full set acrylics with gel (Photo Attached=my set). We both left extremely happy and satisfied! Walking into the salon, we were greeted with "hello's" and were seated right away. Not only was Andy and Toni very friendly, but they were extremely attentive and for the first time I felt like someone actually listened to me and executed what I was wanting. My mom and I will definitely be coming back and thank you guys again for the awesome experience! I called for an appointment for a pedicure, based on other reviews I had read of Lux's Nails-- & they did not disappoint! I was told I could just come in (04/20/21), so I did. Linda did my pedicure, and she was amazing! I had already decided I was going to treat myself to a premium pedicure, so I chose the Volcano pedicure, which included paraffin treatment, calf and foot massage, and so much more. It was about 75 minutes of relaxation and pampering-- and the massage chair that kneaded and rolled my back and shoulders was a wonderful, unexpected plus! I know my future trips to this area will include a stop at Lux's Nails-- and I am NOT one to typically get a pedi, but Linda truly gave me happy feet (& legs). :-) read more

I've been going to this nail salon for about 6 months now ; was referred by my best friend Val who's been coming to this shop since they opened. Well I'm so impressed with their attention to detail. Andy his partner do a fantastic job with the customer service and appreciating their staff. Tammy does a great job at colored dips and gel pedicure as well as ahi pronounced (eye). He's my favorite. I was skeptical at first like this guy won't be able to get it right and he sure does! This was a set done by someone new and she did amazing! I needed to see someone right away I called them and they were able to fit me in as soon as possible. I had arrive there with peace of mine soon as I met Andy I knew I was at the right place. I have told my scenario to him and he was able to fix my nails redo them and make them the way I wanted them! I'm very pleased with this place. I was welcomed in to Lux's nail spa today by Andy, such a kind man... had me seated and toes in the water right away! The service was just as amazing as the conversation! I told Andy I didn't know what to do with my nails and he surprised me with the most unique design done by the man himself! The best nail salon I've ever been to. Prices seem a bit high but you get what you pay for!! My husband and I got a pedicure done and they took their time to make sure to live up to their promises. I swear, our massages were like 30 minutes... with lotion, a scrub, AND hot stones. They also have relaxing music playing! You'll want to fall asleep. LOL I should add... I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love this place! I can't emphasize how pretty my nails come out every time. I'm obsessed with my current set and the set I had before(I wish I had pictures of the before). They always endure I'm happy with my set and even if I'm not too excited about it, they never hesitate to fix or change. I also work in construction so I'm unfortunately breaking more nails than your average person but regardless, they're pretty durable especially considering the work I do on a daily basis! read more

My nails are always hard to shape and I was referred here by my friend. My nails were misshaped and I walked in last minute for an apt. Andy was amazing.! I didn't have to tell him how to fix my nails he just did it and made them look 100x better from my last nail tech. He was friendly and made me feel comfortable. I don't like to leave one star reviews, but this was my first time here and I was very disappointed…read morewith the lack of service. I made an appointment the day before for 10am, arrived at 9:59 and checked in. Waited 15 minutes while they started two other clients, not sure if they had an appointment or not. When I made my appointment I saw that there wasn't a lot of scheduled appointments in the books so, I thought that getting helped on time wouldn't be an issue. I waited 15 minutes before they sat me down and put my feet in the water to sit around for another 15 minutes. By now I realized that I wouldn't be able to get both services completed before I needed to leave. During this time, two other ladies walked in and were also waiting, but I found out later they were walk-ins. Another lady walked in after I had been waiting for 30 minutes, looking to be a walk-in, but they said it was gonna be a while because there were people waiting, so she was trying to schedule an appointment for later that afternoon. I ended up getting up and gathering my stuff and told the lady that she could have my appointment since I had been sitting around for 30 minutes with nothing happening. I looked at the lady who had scheduled my appointment the day before and who had checked me in the day of and she gave me no response. I went out to my car and the lady ended up making an appointment and following me out. Just asked what happened and I explained the situation and she had told me that most people were walk-ins for this establishment.Also the other two women that were waiting left shortly after I did and I asked if they had an appointment, but they said that they were also walk-ins. I don't understand why you would take an appointment and not honor it. There is a reason for appointment, mainly so we can keep our schedules for the day. After seeing the empty books and being told that most people are walk-ins, I believe the two ladies they helped before me were also walk-ins (not verified), and ended up taking my reserved time. It's very frustrating at the lack of professionalism with businesses nowadays. Nothing was done to honor my appointment, nothing was said when I voiced that I had been waiting for 30 minutes, and nothing will be done because I am just one person. I am not telling you, whether you should or should not use this company for any service, I am just providing a rating of my experience. I have a place that I normally go to, but it is 30 minutes away and they are fantastic. Looks like I need to go on here and give them a rating too to show how much I appreciate the service I received from them. Looking forward to a reply.
