This is my regular place to get my pedicures at. It was convenient and i felt they did a decent job. This last time i went in, it wasn't so great. The massage was weak. I chose the 2nd pedicure option which was $35. When it came time to pay, she and the owner said it was $50. I asked why? They said Gel polish was $15? WTF??? I asked why they didn't disclose the ridiculous price increase. So i guess instead of everything being $5 more it's now $15? There wasn't an increase in nail polish. My pedicure was over in less than 15 minutes...he massaged (if that's what you want to call it) rubbed both legs at the same time, then he picked up the stones that had been sitting there and now were room temperature and rubbed them at the same time on my calves for 5 seconds...really, what's the point?? Ok...when he was finished with the nail polish I looked at my toes and thought to myself how in the hell do my nails look worse than what I walked in with. There was nail polish on my skin and cuticles, seriously even the nails weren't filed smoothly. This for the price of $35.00, a basic pedicure with gel... If I could rate this place a -5 I would! The lady doing my nails was so mad I didn't want gel and kept saying no to doing the white powder I wanted but the owner had to tell her to do what I wanted. She was complaining the whole time about what I wanted and told me it was ugly and her idea would be cute. At that point I just said do what ever. I've gone to this salon many times for pedicures and manicures. This past week I went for a manicure. Within days the polish was peeling off my fingers. No chips but peeling. I talked with the gentleman who was extremely rude and said gel lasts longer than regular polish and hung up on me. My manicures have always lasted longer than 4 days. I figured he didn't understand so I went in the following morning to show him and he was just as rude, used the same tone of voice and walked away. I told him that it was poor preparation. Was in Arizona visiting, and decided last minute (on a long-weekend) that I should pampered myself to a Manicure / Pedicure. I checked Yelp for well reviewed salons in the area, and this was one of the few open with overall good reviews. I called to see if they could take me in 5 min's since I was nearby, and they said to come in. When I arrived, they greeted me right away, and told me to pick my colors. I was then immediately seated, with Alli, for a fabulous manure. Alli was geniune and sweet, and very appreciative of my coming in for service at the salon... She thanked me more than once. She asked questions, and kept a nice level of conversation going thoughout the Manicure and Pedicure. Her hands/arms massage, and feet/legs massage felt so good, and she took her time. She really seems interested in pleasing her clients. When I went to take a drink of my empty Starbucks (forgetting I had finished it).... She noticed, and immediately asked if I wanted a bottle of water. My hands and feet feel great, and look great! Nail places are a dime a dozen on this side of town and since my pedicure partners live in Peoria, I've had the chance to sample quite a few of them. This place seems to top it for me, currently. The staff is friendly and despite some language barriers, its not as bad as I've experienced at other places. They are always really concerned about getting the design you want correct- I'm the type of girl that comes in with random ideas that I want them to try out and just their genuine care is enough to make this girl happy. The spa pedicure rings in at a beautiful $20 with the standard $5 for extras (tips, or a design). They don't bug you for extra stuff, which I like and you can easily leave paying the basic pedicure rate (which isn't likely at every nail salon). The chairs are awesome, as well. In the sea of pedicure places in Peoria, this is my current favorite. read more

I received a great pedicure from Glamour Nails. I'm writing this after the second trip to this salon. I wanted to try them twice before writing a review. The people are very nice. The salon is clean, bright and relaxing. They have a TV on the wall playing a Celine Dion concert the day I was there. So it was nice to watch and enjoyable to listen to, better than other nail salons I've been too that seem to have nothing to look at except other people getting their nails done. They give a great massage during the pedicure, and a hot rock massage after the initial massage at no extra charge. They don't try to up sell which is very refreshing! It cost me $25 including tip. I ignored the bad review and thought I'd like to try this place for myself since there were many GOOD reviews to counter it. I needed to get them done ASAP and my regular place moved to Avondale. Didn't have the time to get out there. Firstly, I waited for an hour and a half! I walked in to make sure they had the time to take me. I needed to remove an old set so they trapped me by soaking my nails in acetone for that hour and half knowing once your in it you very well can't leave. After a pedi, manicure and eyebrow wax my girl was done with her client and makes her way over to me. After removing and placing the tips she proceeds to cut the tip on the FIRST nail to where I specified then proceeded to cut the rest returning and cutting the INITIAL one shorter and shorter to even it out with the others she had cut, so now my nails are nubbins. Didn't realize how short of course until after the acrylic was on. Which she sloppily applied while I got a pedi from another girl. The pedi girl was very nice and did an ok job. I got a Kelly green on my toes for St. Pats day and asked the girl if she had the same color to draw a little design on my tips to which she replied "yeah yeah" . So we're all done with pedi and move to her table to file and shape. Cut and burned me twice (my regular place NEVER cuts me) . Acrylic was bumpy. I asked about the polish for my nail tips for the decor and she pulled out LIME green and was like which one :| Really? Decided no on that and I asked her not to put gel polish on as discolors when I'm in the sun for long lenghts of time so she proceeds to buff them.. In the process burns the %$^(@*& out of two of my fingers. The buffer did nothing but make my nails look rough and have ridges. I asked her to put clear regular polish on because it looked terrible. After one week my nails looked like I hadn't done them in a month! I was displeased with this place and would have given them one star if it wasn't for my pedi girl. Now I remember why I never veer too far from my fave spot. sorry for being longwinded but I was just not happy and I think most of these reviews are overrated lol read more

Decided to give this nail salon a try after seeing a mailer coupon and realizing how close they were to my house. They were incredibly friendly and I really liked the decor (think, Paris in pink) and they even let me combine coupons for both services, despite the note on each that they could not be combined during a visit. I had a gel manicure (french/white tip this time) and an eyebrow waxing. The eyebrow waxing was very good. I get my brows waxed regularly and this ranked lower on the "pain" scale. My technician was great in not burning my sensitive skin and used the right technique, minimizing the quick burst of pain that can't be avoided. They cleaned every bit of leftover wax (which surprisingly doesn't always happen) and shaped my brows perfectly despite them being overgrown, therefore not obvious how I like them. I was really pleased with the wax. The manicure is another story. While the tech was very friendly and engaging, she was a little pushy with up-selling a design, but based on my savings from using both coupons, I went ahead and gave it a shot. I wasn't stoked with the design, but I did get compliments on it. Just wasn't my style. My only real complaint is just one, but it's a BIG one. I've had a ton of gel manicures at a variety of salons, but never have I had one chip within a couple days!! I am a stay at home mom, so my nails don't get much abuse, but within 2 days, 3 different nails were chipped!! I don't know if the tech made an error in application (I didn't notice any) or if its just a cheaper gel system (again, nothing I noticed during the manicure), but I was really disappointed to see chips so quickly. I am fortunate that with my stay at home mom gig, I don't have to abuse a manicure much, so generally, a gel manicure will last 2-3 weeks minimum. I've had many gel manicures where my paint was perfect for so long that the only reason I required a new manicure was actually new nail growth!! So for the eyebrow wax, I'd give 5 stars, but the gel manicure, I'd give just one. I went with 3 stars vs 2 ONLY because the staff was so friendly. I'd be willing to get another wax here, but would be hesitant to spend the money on another manicure here without some assurances that it would be repaired free of charge if chopping occurred quickly (under a week) again. read more

Where to start... No people skills at all, hard on hands, manicure done incorrectly, and expensive. I can only remember one time ever having a bad manicure this bad. My cuticles on my hands were rough looking due to not having a manicure in a very long time (Covid), this person was extremely rough on my cuticles and hurt me very bad. When I said something that it was a lot of pressure he made it seem like it was not really a big deal and that I bothered him and he still used the same pressure and pushing hard on my fingers even though I continuously told him that I had an injury. I've had the same manicurist for the last few years and then moving to Arizona I've had to find a new place. I will not return to this place. Not only were they rough and made it seem like it was a problem for them that I said they were being too rough, they did not use a base coat. When I questioned about it they said they don't use basecoat on acrylic only on real nails. I've always had a basecoat no matter where I've been real or acrylic, I've always have had a base coat. Also at the end of putting on the gel polish you're supposed to use the Dremel to trim around the nails on the top part near the cuticles, not here. I am not happy with this manicure and I am really not happy with the cost. The product they used for the pedicure, they made it seem like it was so glamorous, but when you look up the product on Amazon it's $11 for the product where they charge $50. This place is way over cost, very rough on you, and they don't do a good job on the manicure. The pedicure felt very nice it was nice to have my feet worked on but again not going back. Save your money for somebody with a good reputation. I could've driven to California paid for my Mani-pedi there and drove back for maybe $10 more than what it cost to have this Mani-pedi at this place. read more

I love this place. I go here all of the time to get my nails done. They are always so kind, respectful and let you get your nails done in peace. Today I was there and a lady was yelling at them because the shape of her nail was not how she wanted. She was being extremely disrespectful to the nail salon experts. The woman doing her nails decided to pass the customer along to her boss in hopes of finishing the nails with a happy customer. This however set the angry woman off even more. I haven't been to this place in just over a year. Prior to that, I was a semi-regular client because I LOVED the hot stone massages and how friendly a few of the staff were. They always seemed EXTREMELY happy to have clients coming in. My last "visit" was during the holidays in 2013. I called ahead one evening to check hours and wait time to see if I could easily slip in for a quick pedicure before picking up dinner at Papa Murphy's next door. They said they currently had no wait time and that they would be open for about another hour and a half. I drove over from my apartment 2 blocks away, parked my car in front of the shop and quickly finished a phone call. While I was finishing my call, I could see the employees watching me from over their workstation desks. The girl who usually took care of me and the manager that usually greeted me were not there. As I exited my car and approached the door, the two girls inside stopped what looked like a heated conversation, and one of them got up and literally RAN to the door, locked it and turned off the "Open" sign. I figured they had decided to close early for the day, and decided to try Modern Nails across the street. After finishing a great pedicure there, I drove past Glamour Nails and saw the "Open" sign was turned on again, and they had three or four customers inside.
