I was in their shop for fill Gel French Nail manicure and gel pedicure October 17 while on vacation. The mother did my pedicure and asked me at least twice if I was ok. The father did my manicure. On the drive home to my toe hurt but wasn't sure why. My toe got pus on my big toe and was infected. When we got home I went to the doctor. They had to cut half my nail off. And I am on Antibiotics. The children were talking about a trip to Vietnam and there was a child on a lounge chair playing on a IPAD. I paid $150. I need contacted with an answer. Update: I visited this salon in Sun City in October on vacation from Washington. I got an infection in my toe and dr had to cut half my toe nail off. I am on antibiotics for the infection. When I called the shop she said I had to bring in proof from Dr. I said I could mail it but I am in Washington. She refused and said I had to come in. I have the recording because I am sure she will deny. Very rude and uncaring. Mother did my pedicure and father did manicure French gel. Grandchild on lounge playing on IPAD fed French fries. Couldn't know this if wasn't there. Kids talking of their trip to Vietnam. read more

I've tried several salons close to my home, as I am relatively new to the area. I came upon this shop only 1.5 miles away so I gave it a try. The shop in tucked in a fully occupied strip center so it doesn't have that abandoned feeling like many of the small centers in and around Sun City. The techs are a family, like all of them. Mother (Linda), Father (Peter), son (Sonny) and daughter (Kelly). They are all friendly, patient and attentive to customer's needs. This amazing family owned and run business does a fabulous job and is very reasonably priced. Yes, it's run by Vietnamese, but English is spoken, I just appreciate that. This was my first time going to this place of business. The last place I used to go to went downhill, I get bad ingrown toenails and they would make me bleed there, so I tried The Nail Project and had an appointment with Lynda. Lynda was phenomenal! She was able to take out the ingrown toenails carefully yet thoroughly and always making sure I was okay. I think she's stuck with me now, she's AMAZING! The place was clean and very friendly staff. Today was my first time visiting The Nail Project and it was hands down the best pedicure experience I've had. I made an appointment for three pedicures, upon our arrival they were ready for the three of us. We all began our pedicures and finished them at the same time. The salon was clean, prices were reasonable, the family working was incredibly friendly, professional and personable. I have been coming here for a hot minute now, I absolutely adore the Nail Project. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. The owner knows everyone who comes in by their name and really gets to know what you want and what your there for, very personable and sweet. Dad does my acrylics most of the time and does an amazing job no matter the difficulty and how much of a pain in the ass I am with the reference pictures I bring in or how much I change it up on him during the process of him doing my nails. Mom is super funny in the back and usually working with guests and pedicures cracking jokes or singing with the baby. And I assume the brother (?) is super welcoming to everyone that comes into the Salon. I was searching for a place to become my tried and true and I have definitely found it. Wow! I came to this nail salon today and I could not be happier with the whole experience. I set an appointment over the phone a few days ago. I not only got a confirmation text that day but I got a reminder the day ahead as well. Communication was amazing right off the bat. When I arrived everyone was very friendly. I got a gel pedicure, coffin style acrylics with design and waxing. Every step of the way there was great communication, they are very considerate about not letting you guess what the next step is or who is going to do what for you. I had an appointment to which I arrived on time. The shop is small and at first I thought they weren't open. There was only two women working, both doing pedicures. The older woman seemed upset when I told her I had an appointment for acrylic fills and pedicure. She acted like she was unsure what to do. She asked me to wait. I sat down and waited. She kept looking at the door and then looking at me. I didn't understand what was going on. After a few minutes she brought me over to a pedicure chair. I have arthritis in my hip and will be having hip replacement next month, usually someone assists me with getting in and out of a pedicure chair. She did not even ask, but seemed annoyed with me. I picked out the level of pedicure service and she, again, seemed annoyed. I am very ticklish on the bottom of my feet and asked her to be gentle. She laughed and was not. In the middle of the service she jumped up and went in to a back room to make a phone call. I thought that was rude. When the pedicure was finished she just walked away. A older man approached me to take me to his chair to do the fills. I had sandals I was wearing and he started to unbuckle the sandals. I told him not to( because with my arthritis I can't buckle them up again easily). He seemed annoyed and just dropped my sandal on the floor and walked away. The older woman who had done the pedicure brought some flip flops to put on my feet and grabbed my sandals to take to the chair. Once the man started on my fills not a word was exchanged. He just did what he wanted and only asked if I wanted my nails cut down (after already cutting one down). He was lucky that I did. He had an attitude, like he was pissed off at someone. He did a fast job, didn't asked what shape I liked (which is square-he did more squoval). In the meantime, a younger woman came in the shop who worked there. The older woman was upset with the younger and was speaking to her in Vietnamese. The man doing my nails slapped on the polish and it looked amateurish. The whole time he never spoke other than to ask about the length and he seemed in a big hurry to be done with me. My nails look just okay. No lifting yet but they are rough around the cuticles and I am unhappy with the polish he did. I seriously don't think I will go back. Too much drama and not enough care for the customer. read more

After reading other reviews on Yelp, I made an appointment for a pedicure and I was more than impressed. Lynda was my tech and she is also the mother of Kelly, the owner of this super clean and very friendly shop. Lynda really had her work cut out for her because of my "ingrown nail" situation but she was so thorough and asking constantly whether she was hurting me, even though I found her to be quite gentle with my condition, taking so much care and time. Kelly made it a point to come and talk with me, which I found so refreshing and definitely a wonderful way to run a business. I found The Nail Project on Yelp and called to get a full set and pedicure. I don't get my nails done often because previous times its taken over two hours for both of these things. They had asked if I would be okay if I had them done at the same time and for me that works perfect. I was in and out of there in about an hour, nails and toes looking great! Pan forward a year later to get my nails done... YIKES! I walk in and the mom of this family owned business remembered me. I was shocked! This was my first time in the salon and from the beginning the entire family was very kind and did an excellent service. However the only time their demeanor changed was when you came in immediately with an attitude demanding to be seen at the same time as your friend. It was to my understanding that you called the day before and cancelled your appointment but your friend kept theirs. None the less.. the family refused to service you because of your attitude and you left. As you walked out you slammed the door in the the little girls face. I don't usually write these things but I've been here twice and I will never go back. I needed a fill, made the appt with Kelly several weeks out because she was out of town. I show up at the appt and I wasn't greeted, I was told to get my polish which I had my own. Through the first part of the service she spoke to everyone in the shop but me. Then she had to take care of her daughter and left me sitting there for someone else to eventually take over. Not once did she apologize, did she make any explanation. Very rude. The guy that took over left his client sitting for a long time. All conversation was with everyone else. not one person spoke to me. My appt and the subsequent wait for her to return from out of town was so I could have her do my nails. Customer service is very poor. A month prior my husband and I had pedicures done here and it was the most NOT relaxing time ever. His tech was rude when he tried to show her a callous he wanted removed. And the charge for this service was $55 which is ridiculous for the work that was done. Will not be back and will spread the word. read more

Saw the great reviews for The Nail Project and it was close to our new residence so called for an appointment and they were able to schedule appointments for me and my husband in just a couple of days. And what a great experience! Felt like we walked in to a family get together! Everyone, clientele and staff were so friendly and engaging! We felt so welcomed! Sonny was my pedicurist and he did a great job. Told him about some issues with my ties and he assured me that he knew how to proceed and he did so with no pain or bleeding which I have experienced with other salons. Salon is clean on the surface. Family owned and operated. Had a full set of acrylics with gel polish and an express pedi. Older gentleman did my nails, definitely not the best set I've had. Lopsided and flooded cuticles. He cut two of my cuticles till they bled using the wrong tools. Pedi was so fast, the callus remover didn't even really have time to work well. There is plenty of space between stations so you don't feel uncomfortably too close to anyone. Pricing is clear and payment methods are convenient. Anhna is so knowledgeable, helpful, and sweet. By far the best pedicure I have ever received! My nail tech was Janae (I hope I am spelling this right) and she was truly spectacular! She was extremely nice and was very detailed throughout. I got the soak and scrub and my feet have never been done better!
