I went in as a walk-in for a mani-pedi and even called beforehand to make sure they could do both services. They told me yes, but once I arrived they said they might not be able to do the manicure. They ended up doing both, but the quality was very poor. They didn't even push back my cuticles during the manicure, and the pedicure felt extremely rushed because another customer came in. You could tell they were hurrying through my appointment. There are even air bubbles in the polish on my pedicure. I was definitely overcharged for the quality of service I received, but I didn't say anything at the time. Everyone I showed my nails to agreed that the work looked poorly done and that I was taken advantage of. I looked at their photos beforehand hoping I would get nice nails, but everything felt rushed and careless. I understand that as a walk-in customer I might not be the priority, but if they couldn't properly do the service, they should have been honest from the start instead of giving me rushed, low-quality work. I came in on Monday around 4:45. I sit down and shortly after 2 people wanting manicures walked in. There were only 2 workers at the salon. So the girl who did my toes rushed. I only got a 5 min massage in total for both legs and a min pass over of the hot stones. I was in and out in 30 minutes. $50 for a 30 min pedicure is insane. My toes look nice but i think the reason pedicures are so expensive is because of the massage and the extra amenities. I will stick with Lobos nail salon on 59th and bell. They have different pedicure packages and i have never left dissatisfied. read more

I booked an apt for 5:30 pm for a dip and polish change on my feet. The lady that did my dip didn't do it good. There were scratches on some nails and a little dot. I did tell her about the dot. She tried to take it off but didn't remove it. This lady has done acrylics on me before and they are bad also. The lady that painted my toes gel did great. The hand lady asked me if I was leaving a tip before I was even done. She asked me if I was going to tip the toe lady that was leaving. I said yes. At this time I felt pressured. She had the last wait for me to tip her. She wanted me to get up from my dip to tip the lady and I told her I will tip when I pay. I want to go pay and paid and I have a 18 tip total and she asked me what about a tip for the kids paint. I said you guys can split it. That's all the cash I had. Honestly I wasn't going to tip the nail lady because I hate my nails. I didn't like being pressured. This is probably one reason why it's so empty in there. Loveeee this place for pedicures! You have to ask for Henry! He takes his time with all of the steps which I really appreciate. I love that he actually took the time to soak off my old gel Polish and didn't just use the drill on my toes. They have a sign out front to get 10% off if you pay with cash. I told the girl I had cash and could pay that way but she didn't take the discount off my total. Bad service. Arrived with my sister and the lady proceeded to work on my nails, she said the next available tech would start on my sister. A lady walked in 20min after us for a fill in and the tech started on her and left my sister sitting there for an hour. Very unprofessional and rude. We will never return again. I've never been the type to ask for a discount, even if I didn't like the service, but the ladies here were completely rude and I felt so unacknowledged. My toes were done in a splotchy matter . This was my first time coming here expecting to be relaxed and treated like a well valued customer, especially if it was my first time being there. To sum it up the lady that did my toes was extremely rude, especially when I asked for a discount on my service, particularly my nails. I had white streaks in my nail beds and white polish all over my hands and my actual skin, the lady saw me looking at it and approached me prior to me coming up to pay for my services, she told me she would fix it. She put acetone on a cotton ball and roughly wiped it away. The lady that did my nails was nice per se, but she lacked communication skills. She asked me what shape I liked, but didn't ask if I liked the shape that she was creating she didn't even ask me what type of French tip style I liked . While being worked on by two, people is a bit awkward. It was also kinda hard to move the lady that was doing my nails. Didn't ask me or speak to me in a kind manner for me to stop moving she tugged at my arm because I was moving, which is rude because she could've politely asked for me to sit still or not move. She didn't ask me until she was finishing putting on the topcoat on my first hand if I liked the French tip style which annoyed me a bit I didn't mind them, but I would much have rather been asked that way before the topcoat was applied . Again, there was white streaks in my nails. The underneath of my nail tips that were applied are almost pretty much attached to my fingertips. And to finish it off when I asked for more of a discount, the lady that did my toes was mad and rude about it. Which is funny because she was the nicest one starting off with the service ! The services I asked for was gel pedicure and dip manicure. The pedicure was fine although I asked for square and got round but at least the gel was applied decent. The person who did my manicure started while I was getting my pedicure which was very uncomfortable as she was making me lift up my arm the whole time without anything under to support. I let her know many times I didn't like the color or shape and she would just tell me she wasn't done. I felt bad because she is an older woman so I called when I left and let the manager know I was unhappy. They refuse to refund me for the sloppy manicure job. $105 for basic pedicure and this, this is not okay. read more

Lavie Nails is one of the best salons I've been to since moving to the Deer Valley area! I went early in the morning with an appointment, so they were able to get me seated right away and started! The employees were super nice and Trish did sooo amazing on my dip ombre nails. She took her time with the blend and the shape, and no one seems to be able to give me the sharp, squared nails I've been wanting except her! I really enjoyed this place the first two times going. But these past two times I've gone I have not had the best experience. I feel like only some of the nail techs are good at the job. The last time I went the nail tech I got to do my hands was very aggressive with the drill and hurt me multiple times and I ended up not letting her finish the job and I went home and did the rest myself. But the woman who did my toes did great. Gave it the benefit of the doubt and came back today. The lady who was working on me didn't seem like she knew how to do nails properly at all. She did great on my toes but when it came to painting them she didn't let me know that the polish was running out and my toes look blotchy. I asked to get old acrylic soaked off and a manicure. She didn't know how to take off the old acrylic it looked like, she also didn't shape my nails very well. Another thing I have to fix at home. But a pedicure and manicure with soak off all totaled to $85 and I don't think I'll be coming back here or recommending this place because it's unclear which people are good at nails and which aren't. read more

This is my first time here because as it is under new management. The new nail techs here are awesome! I get a gel manicure and I took a picture of how I wanted my nails and Bella did my nails almost exactly like the picture (I picked a shade different though :). My pedicure was done by Heidi and she also did a great job!! She was very thorough and took the time to make my feet look and feel great :) I also like that they are extremely sanitary here and are very nice. The place has all new furniture, pedicure chairs and it's just a nice, clean place all around. I hope everyone will give this place a chance if you've been here before. $40 for a pedicure, i understand prices are increasing but service should not be decreasing. For the $40 you get the pedicure, callous remover, sugar scrub, lotion massage, hot stones and hot towel. The callous remover was so light the grater barely passed over my feet, the sugar scrub AND lotion massage both were over in 5 minutes total. Again the tech barely laid hands on me. I do a better, deeper massage after my shower at home. What really is horrible is the owner (?) brings her kids in after school, allows them to be loud and run all over the place- talk about anything but relaxing. This is a relaxing nail spa NOT a daycare. I was considering a manicure but decided against once the children showed up. I paid the $40 but needed change for a tip, I gave $20 and the lady looked confused, she gave me 2-$10 bills back, That was not going to work for me, I ended up giving a couple singles I had in my wallet; knowing I would not return. I was hoping to give around $7 but if you can not make change for a tip, then I'm sorry. The salon needs to find childcare for the employees children, the spa is NOT a place for the owners children. The massage/sugar scrub needs to be MUCH LONGER and deeper tissue. Also the callous remover needs to improve. The pedicure experience was so bad I didn't stay for a basic manicure. I'm also not sure what type of lotion they use since its all in these small plastic bottles. The lotion at the nail stations is all floral scents in brands I've never seen before.
