I've been to many nail salons across the U.S., as I have both lived and travelled for work to so many areas, and I have to say the customer service at Vicky's was probably the best. The nail tech was friendly, nice, and cool. She was easygoing and not in a rush even though they were short staffed that day. And the owner or manager (a male with glasses) was very nice and interactive. He asked me twice if I wanted something to drink. Good conversations while getting to nail done. I just really enjoyed the vibe at the salon. It's so hard to describe it. I guess I can sum it up with "very friendly salon"! On that day, I had dip service for my hands and gel for my feet. Good things I can say about this place: they are very friendly and took really good care of my little girls nails and pedicure (I think with the owner and she was lovely!) But, this is the worst pedicure I have had in a very long time. I just moved here and I'm extremely disappointed with the service. My nails do not look good and there is still remnants of paint on my skin and old nail polish. In addition my heels look horrible as that wasn't even included in the spa pedicure. I had to ask the older gentleman who is doing my pedicure to ensure that he took off the old nail polish and then also just to clean the cuticles around the big toes. Even then, I can still see the dark gray polish on my toes under the pink. It may have been who I had, but I definitely would not recommend this place in the future or I would ask for the owner as she did a great job on my daughter (4 year old) read more

I have been a customer at Vicky's for over two years. I am a drop in so I never have made an appt. I only get pedicures - either gel or regular. I have made at least 20 visits. In all that time, they have always been gracious, funny, polite and accommodating. I don't know their names nor do I speak the language, not even sure what language it is, however, the owner is accomadating, friendly and speaks English. The pedicures are fantastic, and depending on which one you choose you may get hot stone massage. They are fast. They are good at what they do and they have invested in the shop. It has gotten much nicer with better equipment and decor. I highly recommend! read more

I don't know where to start. This was a terrible experience. The lady doing my nails, literally ripped my old acrylic off, didn't try to be gentle at all, then didn't bother to make my natural nail even just left it all raggedy. Acrylics are super thin and move up when picking up anything or doing anything with the nails themselves. Pedicure was ok but after I left I still had stuff left over on tue backs of my leg. Waste of $119 dollars for less than mediocre work. Do not waste your money here. Also every person in there was 60 yrs or older, they don't know how to do younger generation nails. read more

I had a gel manicure and pedicure in early May. It cost over $100. The gel began to crack within 4 days. As of right now; I have NO nails left. The young man that removed the last gel from my hands used that tool for so long that it literally started to BURN. Now my nail bed is ruined. My nails are cracking, breaking and peeling. In defense of the shop, I did call 4 days when they started to peel. I was unhappy with the response although they did offer to make it right. At that point I was too naive to realize what damage over use of that tool would do. I'd like my money back. But I doubt that will happen. read more

I went in on Saturday morning for a pedicure and decided to also get a full set manicure. There wasnt any other customers, so I was the only one the. The pedicure was great. Relaxing and overall pleasant. The manicure however was severely lacking. As soon as another customer came in, my manicure was rushed and my nails now show that. They didnt soak or trim my cuticles, the tips of the nails are crooked, and the nails are so thick i can't really do much. For $100, i would expect more. read more

I just stopped in, no appointment which I usually don't like to do. I was fortunate to be able to get for the pedicure I so needed. I also had 3 ingrown, and now my feet are pain free. I had a dip manicure 1 1/2 weeks ago. Edges started chipping and catching. They always last me 4 weeks at other salons. I made an appointment to correct them, as directed when I called. When I arrived for my appointment two ladies at the desk talked, bickered, resisted and laughed at me (All conversation was in Vietnamese) for so long I finally said never mind and walked out. They demanded the name of the dip, rolled their eyes so even though I couldn't understand the language it was clear that they didn't believe me. As far as nail salons go, I rate VIcky Nails a B-. I'd much prefer to go to Nail 09 in Mesa (off Southern Ave) but alas, an extra 40 miles for a pedicure and wax is not feasible with today's gas prices. Check it out: LOCATION: right off of Grand Avenue in the Trader Joe/Goodwill shopping area. Do not park in back and walk through laundry area. Park in front. DECOR/AMBIENCE: lately they have been playing this really awful music. How can I describe it? Vietmanese elevator-esque show tunes. Pedicure chairs are a little banged up and patched with clear packing tape. Otherwise, your run-of-the-mill nail spa. APPOINTMENTS: don't bother. I've seen people (including myself) schedule appointments only to wait another 30 minutes when business starts to pile up. DO walk-in, but DON'T expect to be in and out of there if having mani/pedi or fill. My grandma once needed a pedicure and a new set of acrylics put on and we were there over 2 hours. SERVICES: pretty average cost, pedicure is $17, eyebrow wax is $10, fill is $16. One woman (can't recall her name right this moment) gives an excellent eyebrow wax that lasts upward of 3 weeks. Pedicures are nice, no chips, lasts 1 month easily; no smudging, smearing, etc. My complain comes in my Grandma's experiences getting her nails done here. I don't know whether it's her age or what, but it seems like she doesn't get the services she wants and the quality is usually well below what I receive. The nail polish is not applied properly, smudged up on the cuticle or not even reaching the edges of her nails. She was charged for a "new set" of acrylic nails, but the actual "nail" tip was not changed out-- the acrylic was soaked off and reapplied. At full price. STAFF: I really appreciate most of the staff's efforts to make you comfortable and happy. That being said, I feel like sometimes they take shortcuts to get the job done.I'm surprised that after seeing my lovely face several times that they STILL don't recognize me as a returning customer.... all in all, I'll continue to go here as I generally receive A-OK services. I'll just be sure to bring a book (or ten) to help pass the time. read more

The polish looks so nice and the scrub and massage were wonderful. They did not give me any grief when I requested an impromptu polish change on my nails right after my pedicure either. I have been here several times but will NEVER go back. Tee is very good at nails but the owner or manager will make you an appointment over the phone then double book the technician. So when you get there, on time, for your appointment the tech you requested is with another client. This has happened to me several times. No more! Communication is easier here, they will even translate their own conversations to you and they really try to give you exactly what you want... any picture you find online... Made an appointment for pedi and dip nails the pedicure was just ok no foot massage, at least not on the day I went... they did the dip as I was getting the pedi, Which I don't ever recommend.. can't relax.. the lady proceeded to twist and turn my fingers as it was hard to reach from her position at the pedicure area.. so ouch.. she did a horrible job there are lumps and bumps, she got the the dip product all over my cuticle's my nails are all misshaped.. i told the guy as I was paying what a sloppy job it was.. he said they would repair it but at that point I just wanted out.. lesson Learned..Don't waste your money on this place.. they just want to rush you in and out.. i used to frequent this place all the time.. Sorry Vicki's nails not sure what's going on but the last few times I've been there the quality is horrible.. for what I pay .. I will most definitely never be back..
