I ordered the chai tea latte. It's flavor reminded me of sweet warmed milk. I didn't taste much tea in it at all. The latte art was cute though. The avocado toast had cream cheese in it and a lot of lemon pepper seasoning with lemon juice on it. The bread itself had a nice texture to it. One piece of it was $7, which I suppose is standard for avotoast these days. The burrito was falling apart! We couldn't pick it up without its ingredients falling out of place. Vanilla latte was so bitter! I forgot to ask if they made their syrups in house, but these drink was just not good at all. Simply, I don't understand why everyone raves about this spot. I can only assume it's because it's the only hipster coffee shop nearby. Disappointed because I drove out 1 hour to try this place out. Customer service is okay, nothing out of the ordinary. Parking is difficult since it's always crowded. The seating is limited and the seats themselves are not comfortable, seating is also limited to 90 minutes per person. read more

It's such a cute cozy cafe that is alwayssss busy which makes me so happy for them! Very clean and such good music plays. Four stars is mainly for its offering of organic beans. After reading about all the chemicals that go into regular coffee beans, I started seeking out organic options. This and Lost Bean appear to be the only ones with that option. I got a bag of Bali single origin beans, which is a dark roast. I was actually looking for medium roast, but it only had light or dark roast beans at the time of my visit. For dark roast, it tasted really good without being too bitter when I made myself a pour over with it at home. My wife also loved the taste. Not quite sure on flavor notes, and there isn't a description on the bag, but it definitely has more of a nutty flavor than fruity. In terms of actual drinks, I thought they were just ok. I got a cappuccino to get a sense of its espresso based drinks. The latte art was weak (even for a very basic design), and so was the flavor. It was weak in espresso and too milky. It tasted more like a latte than a cappuccino. Also tried its cold brew, which was ok, but nothing out of the ordinary. Food was average too. Grass-Fed Burger tasted clean, but overall flavor combination was pretty average. Chicken & Artichoke Salad had good dressing, but the chicken was very dry. I would definitely come back to buy its organic beans, but most likely won't get anything else. Drink menu is very basic for coffee, but it does offer wine and beer. read more

Once again the customer service at this place will be their downfall. The only thing that sucks is how rude they are. The food and the coffee is great but the way the speak to customers is really rude. I placed a mobile order for a smoothie the app told me it would be ready at 10:55 I got their at 10:50 so I was 5 minutes EARLY according to the app. When I got the smoothie it looked like juice it was completely melted when I brought it up to someone they told me to just "stir it" I asked if they could remake it to which she said um let me ask my manager, her manager came back and told me "well redo it this time but next time make sure u order it at the right time" like what?? I asked for an extra hot latte and upon receiving it she asked if it was hot enough, I said yes it's totally fine. IYKYK! This place is located in a cute little shopping center across from Santiago Canyon College and to say this place is the gem of Orange would be an understatement. My go to coffee items here are the Iced Chai Latte or the hot chai latte. Absolute best I have ever had, and this is not an exaggeration! My boyfriend loves their dirty chai so if you need the extra caffeine, can't go wrong with that. As for their food items, their breakfast burrito with bacon is better than those offered at most breakfast restaurants. But if you prefer to have some sweets with your morning/afternoon coffee, you can never go wrong with their scones. These things are by far some of the best top quality pastries! They are consistently perfect and you won't ever regret the calories. All their baked goods are made in house and on the days they offer the cinnamon roll, get it! Ambiance here is just as good as the coffee and food. All the employees are really kind and professional and the location itself is quaint and cozy, feels like you are hanging out at your best friend's house. It does get quite crowded, but I assure you that your patience will be rewarded. Tables do have an hour and half limit to ensure that there are available tables for those looking to enjoy their refreshments and visit with friends or get some focused work done. I love this spot so much that I have had to limit myself to only a set amount of days a week to visit. But I genuinely look forward to my Tru Bru days. Parking: right in front of truBru are 1hr only parking spots. But it's in a plaza. So if you park a bit further down, there's plenty of no time free parking. Service: line moves fast. You order in and either (1) wait for your name to be called (2) sit and they'll bring your food out. From what I know, if you're getting a drink/pastry, you gotta pick it up yourself when they call your name. If you're getting a meal from the food menu, they'll bring it out to you by number. Food: got the breakfast burrito, pancakes and blueberry scone. Breakfast burrito is a solid choice. They do have tapatio near the forks/knives area. Pancakes are definitely not their specialty. Wouldn't get again but it wasn't bad. It's just "boring" and tastes like something I made when I was a kid. But like in a good way. Blueberry scone is a would most likely get again but only wouldn't b/c I wanna try their other pastries now. It was very very good esp with the matcha. Their matcha was unsweetened (on purpose). It had a clean texture and not the velvety texture you get with some matcha places. Prices are slightly steeper than your other places but comparable and wouldn't fuss over the price too much.
