While I've been a Tru Bru enthusiast since I was a kid, they've definitely outgrown their current spot and the popularity has somewhat gotten in the way of the quality service. This used to be my study spot with my friends years ago and unfortunately now when I come into town to visit, there's never anywhere to sit at any time of day. I love that's it's gained popularity but it's definitely in need of a new spot or bigger space. The wait for two chai lattes was 20 minutes which felt a bit unreasonable. And since the place is so tiny I had nowhere to sit and was constantly having to move out of peoples ways. It really lost its quaint and cozy feel that had me coming nearly every week. The drinks are still incredible and I love the food but I gravitate here less because it lost its small cafe charm and quick service it used to have. Hoping they relocate to a space that suits their needs as a lot of customer we're having to wait excessive amounts of time and move around constantly to get out of the way. read more

Still my all time favorite cafe. Chai lattes and food still hit the same. I did wanna add that while I do love their lox on sourdough, I think it wouldve been better if the bread was thinner and better toasted to add more crunch and texture to each bite. I loveeeee tru bru. The chai and vanilla latte are my favorite. I haven't tried the food yet but the drinks are always so yummy. It's such a cute cozy cafe that is alwayssss busy which makes me so happy for them! Very clean and such good music plays. However I don't recommend studying their for those who want to focus, they get really busy so it tends to be loud majority of the time. Other than that I love it! read more

Amazing options just make sure you see their seasonal menu, but also double check if things have dairy or not if you're vegan. Always great lovely friendly staff who you can tell they enjoy their job ! I just wish they listed ingredients of dairy or gluten easier on their app, for ordering 1 star reduction. read more

I've been here a couple times. The place was very cute and always busy. The staff is very friendly, they have a standard menu and it's pretty straightforward. Their food is decent , personally their drinks aren't the best I've had and not the worst. I think there could be room for improvement. It's still a cute place to stop by and has inside and outside seating. read more

Wow, is it busy here! I came on a Saturday morning and it was poppin'. I order an iced matcha for myself and a lavender expresso for my cousin. I enjoyed my matcha. It look a little bit of time to find a free table, but we managed to grab a seat. I'd try this famous avocado toast next time I'm in town. read more

We come here as often as possible, and I get the avocado toast EVERY time. They have a fall drink menu, and the iced pumpkin chai is a must. The customer service here is impeccable. There is indoor/outdoor seating and often cute pop up tables with local craft vendors outside. read more

Favorite coffee shop. I come here everyday when i'm in town since moving across the country. I get the blended chai w almond milk. Avo toast is a hit or miss depending on if the avocado is fresh and if they cover the whole toast with it. Breakfast burrito w bacon slaps! Service is 100/10. Terrible costumer service! Was handed the wrong number for our food. I saw our food go to another table. It was there for a fat while. The food was brought back to kitchen. So I went and told the cashier our food was taking too long and I wanted my money back. They were gonna give me the plated food that had the run around and cold by now. As they were giving me my $ back I was told I took the wrong number. YOU GAVE ME THE NUMBER! So I asked, "Did the table who was brought my food take the wrong number too? Sooooo rude!!!!! You people made yhe mistake and no apology? Please treat your costumers with respect and care. read more

I love Tru Bru. But they have become a chain now. The original location up here in Orange is still my favorite. The coffee is still solid in the service is still good although I will say it's very hard to get a table here at any time of the day, but you notice when restaurants become more successful and they turn into multi locations, they do things like get rid of the beautiful roasted red breakfast potatoes they had for breakfast and serve frozen fried diced potatoes which suck. They did it at Panini kebab Café where my son works and now they did it here. I still love you Tru Bru but my heart is saddened. read more

TruBru is a place i have come to for years. The food has always been great and consistent. We'll, I am not a regular but I have been coming here long enough to know that it's a spot where your treated as family. My last two visits have not been what TruBru is known for. You servers are not polite and the food was burnt and sub par. What happened? What changed? I hope you can get this fixed soon. Just like baseball your third strike your out. read more

Very good! The salmon bagel is delicious, with pickle and onion to top it off. Also, the toast with cream cheese and avocado on it is also good. But, it is a little pricey!! But otherwise, Tru Bru is amazing, and a definite to recommend if you're trying to look for a place that makes organic yet good food. read more

I got the mango smoothie, mocha iced coffee and pancakes. The smoothie was really refreshing, the mocha coffee was really good and tasty not too sweet not too bitter. The pancakes have a taste of nutmeg so they were good. The people were really friendly the place was alittle busy but the service was pretty fast. Overall a good experience. read more

I enjoyed the atmosphere. It's your cozy neighborhood coffee shop. There's a lot of seating and they have WiFi so it's great for studying. Staff were friendly. They have a great selection of food, pastries, and drinks. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and it was pretty good. Strong and not too sweet which I liked. Cozy interior, little tables outside. I like that there are signs for 90 minutes max inside because some people like to stay there for way longer to work, but other customers just want to enjoy their coffee/food inside and then leave, so it's only fair. The barista who recommended a coffee drink for me was super sweet. She did an iced vanilla latte with vanilla cold foam. It wasn't very sweet. It was on the lighter side. I normally love Vietnamese iced coffees, so I will go with something different next time. My friend loved their hot chai latte. We got the chocolate croissant, and that was good: buttery, crispy edges, custard and two slivers of strawberry inside. I saw someone with an order of seasoned potatoes, and those looked really good. read more

Mixed reviews for this coffee shop/bakery. 5 stars for quality of lattes. Well made drink. 1 star for the nightmare wait and terrible logistics. They take orders on-site and online. As a walk in customer, you have no idea how long the real wait will be. On my visit, there were more than 6 employees working behind the counter, BUT they have one milk steamer and that's the bottleneck!!! I wanted 19 minutes for a latte. Never coming here again. read more

Ordered a couple coffees and some breakfast items which came out to be all amazing! A basic latte with oat milk was just right, a mocha that was not too sweet or too chocolate my, breakfast burritos were warm and filling, a lox bagel that was phenomenal and avocado toast that was packed with avocado! I highly recommend this place to anyone who can appreciate a good coffee and some tasty breakfast items. read more

Cozy cafe with easy parking and plentiful seating. I came at 8:30am on a weekday and it was very busy with a lot of people chatting and eating. Also they do play very loud christian music. So not the best study environment but good if you are ok with noise. Wifi is pretty good. Also right when you walk in it does smell strongly of cleaning stuff. I got the matcha which is made from actual matcha from japan and it was pretty good! The pastries also look like they're house made but I haven't tried it so can't speak to that much. read more

This cafe doesn't have even ONE vegan option. Not even garbanzo beans. They only have dead animals for protein, and look at you like you're speaking a foreign language if you ask for a vegan option. I ended up ordering a salad with a couple of SIMPLE modifications: 1) Please leave out the meat, and 2) Please leave out the dairy. And guess what? THEY LEFT THE DAIRY! LMAOOOOOO! read more

First time try this place. Ordered Drip,Cold Brew and Lemon Scone. Both coffee taste awesome. Very clear,pure taste. Still flavorful. Usually Cold Brew other place, bitterness overwhelm coffee flavor.but not this place. Lemon Scone-prefer more lemon flavor. Add Lemon Zest might be ideal? It's my taste anyway. Overall Awesome coffee. Also these stuff are so cheerful. I don't know why I ordered both cold and hot coffee tho! read more

Good thing I got here before 11am on my way to church; I read a review here that the lines go out the door after 11am. Whew. On this inaugural visit, I got thei namesake cream pan. Ate it with great joy & delight. So delicious, so delectable. One thing I don't get is how there's over 8k photos here when the sign clearly says no photography and no video, but lots of people still love to take photos. Finally made a trip to the mainland, made off with my daughter's car, and headed down the 22 for some Spanish bread. I ordered a box of 20 STAXX, and six assorted donuts. While waiting for some freshly BAD-baked STAXX, kid behind the counter helped me pick some donuts cuz I was overwhelmed by all this BAD-assery. Knowing myself, I placed the boxes in the trunk and headed back to the pad. And then BAD things happened. I placed the box of STAXX on the counter, opened it up and inhaled that BAD-baked scent. We were only going to buy the loaf of sourdough but the guy helping us told us it was buy one, get one free so we choose the brioche. What a deal! We don't know if this is their regular deal or it was for the holiday or what but we were thrilled. We don't live in OC but we're not too far so we can come visit our friends and pick up more bread when whenever we want. So happy we tried the bread. Baked Banhs is located in the 4th street food market, one of the first shops you'll see if you're coming from the parking lot. Note the hours before you come (for instance, they're closed on Sundays and Mondays). And note that they seem to usually sell out of certain items by the days end. We've tried a number of different items here now including four of their canelés and their basque cheesecake. The cheesecake was solid. But we really loved their canelés. They are soft/moist on the inside with a nice crunch. And the different flavors really come through. Our favorite is the black sesame - not only is there black sesame peppered on the top but also in the center with a nice black sesame cream. It's so good and delicious. Four canelés cost $16 and thought they were well worth the price. Again, it's so sad to hear that Baked Banhs is closing soon so if you're a fan of canelés or other desserts, recommended to come sooner than later to try this out! We really hope they reopen again elsewhere or do a lot of pop-ups soon.

I was shocked to see that. I waited in line with maybe like two people in front of me and guess what they asked of Pliny was still available. The guy working said to the people in front of me that they sold out. It was my turn I asked if they had it and the guy said that they had a line since 3pm and that they sold out of the keg. We ended up getting two beers since we went anyways but that's when things didn't add up. He kept telling all the other people that started to show up the same thing. These are reasons why it didn't add up 1) empty seats inside but had a line since 3pm and beer was released at 4pm 2) I don't think the people going for younger would just order one beer and not try other RR beers? 3) only one guy working beer counter and having to clean the tables and make sandwiches? 4) 12 oz pours of beer and keg with about 1984 oz would make it 166 beers. No way they sold 166 beers in an hour with one person working the bar and shop empty in an hour. They could have posted on their instagram or socials that they sold out but failed to do so. I'm sure a lot of people all night were disappointed to see that they didn't have it or post anything about it.

My new favorite spot! The ambience is warm and welcoming and the staff were all very friendly (and dressed well too, I appreciate that extra effort!) I don't drink coffee too often because it makes me feel anxious and jittery, but I've seen this spot in the process of remodeling and decided that once it opens, I'd give it a shot... The tall skinny guy (Shawn I think his name was?) Made me a hazlenut latte, he recommended I try it "half-caf" to possibly help with that jittery feeling I often get, and it worked like a charm. I think perhaps it was the organic beans, or the care that was taken in brewing them, but I've honestly never had the perfect cup of coffee like this before. They're right next to Santiago college, so now I have a new spot to study and get my energy when I'm cramming for a test... Pricing- for what you get way too high but we are talking orange acres. Food- basic and expensive and not much flavor Bottom line tried this place 3 times just to give it a chance as sometimes the staff preps food and coffee a different way. I've visited Tru Bru Organic Coffee quite a few times due to the fact that it's right by my work, but recently this is one the best coffee stop shop for a drink. All their coffees and teas are smells amazing. I've tried mostly their teas and my favorite thus far is their Iced Chai. It really smells sweet and tastes good. So Refreshing. The store itself is very cute and decent to look inside, it's cozy and pretty quiet inside. The staffs there are all so friendly and attentive and will pull out any tea you are interested into smell. What I've like to them is they make real conversations with you. Everything was pretty perfect the drink, the service and the place. The coffee here is great. The food is pretty good too. I normally order a cappuccino, blended mocha or one of their fruit smoothies and all are awesome. For food I usually go with their breakfast burrito. The only problem I have with this place is their pick up system. If you order food, you get a number. If you order coffee you give them your name. If you order both you get a number and you give them your name. It's ass backwards. Just put everything under my name or a number. I don't want to sit and wait for my food with my number and then have to also strain to hear my name called from the back of the restaurant. How hard is it to do one or the other? It would also be nice if they could get my order right the first time. read more

Tru Bru has a great matcha and I really appreciate that they offer organic and grass-fed food options. It's a solid spot for those looking for quality drinks and healthy choices. That said, customer service can be a bit lacking at times. I've had multiple instances where there were mistakes with my order, and the staff didn't offer an apology or correction. For me, it's usually not a huge deal because the mistakes have been minor, but I think they could be more proactive and solution-oriented when issues come up. Overall, I still enjoy Tru Bru and will keep coming back for the matcha and food options, but I hope they improve on the customer service side of things. read more

Inviting café with convenient parking and enough seating. I arrived about 8:30 AM on a weekday, and it was rather crowded with several people conversing and dining. They also play extremely loud Christian music. The study environment is suboptimal, although suitable for those who are tolerant of noise. The Wi-Fi is rather decent. Upon entering, there is a pronounced odor of cleaning products. I obtained matcha sourced from authentic Japanese matcha, and it was rather enjoyable. Came here for breakfast on a Tuesday morning, the store was pretty steadily busy and it took about 15 minutes to get our food. I ordered a small latte which was very delicious and creamy. My wife ordered the chai latte and said that she really enjoyed it also. For food I ordered an avocado toast which was a good portion with two slices coming with the full order. She actually "made" me taste a couple different teas to make sure I like it, which was pretty cool! I settled on the iced green pomegranate tea. Refreshing! Highly recommend this place! Everything here is good. One of the owners comes a lot and is on the floor to help the employees out and she is super nice; I really admire that. I'm usually not a fan of spending big bucks on coffee, but this place is a local favourite and always seems to be busy. Their coffee is organic. Their ingredients are fresh, and you can damn well bet you'll enjoy your drink. If I had one thing to comment on, it's pricing. I understand any coffee shop. The line was out the door throughout the day but they seemed very efficient. You grab a menu at the entrance and stand in line to order before you claim a table. They have a lot of food and beverage options. I ordered the Belgian waffle with the açaí sorbet. The waffle was cooked nicely and the fruit was fresh. The açaí sorbet was placed on top of the waffle which caused the waffle to get soft and soggy pretty quickly especially on a hot summer day. After a while the plate became a melty mess which made it less enjoyable. The water stations are a nice touch, but a couple of them were only filled with ice and the dispensers propped up above a puddle of water. At least one of them seemed to have a leak. They have two restrooms that are available for customers- expect a long wait time. The restrooms need more attention and maintenance especially during high-traffic times. The staff cleaning and clearing the tables were friendly and efficient. They were fast at bussing tables and getting them ready for the next guests. They also swept the outdoor seating area frequently which helped keep the seagulls at bay.

Confusing I know, but it appeared the entire bakery case was labeled incorrectly then. I suppose if you had celiac, this could be a concern. I'm sensitive to gluten but not allergic thankfully. I mentioned this should have been labeled correctly, not to sound pushy but it could end up being a serious problem for someone. Lastly, I ordered the Turkish latte, and she rang up a regular latte, no problem, I let her know it was the Turkish Latte that I was ordering so she corrected it but when I picked up my coffee, I wound up with a regular latte anyway (and paid for the Turkish Latte). Not the best first impression, coffee itself wasn't bad, disappointing though, Turkish coffee is pretty strong and this tasted like more milk than coffee. Definitely not strong enough, and kind of added to the frustration. I would not recommend this place, there are plenty of fantastic coffee houses as you can see from my reviews, I'd go somewhere else.
