My favorite dinner spot - more specific one of my favorite restaurants in San Jose. The owners are so great and friendly. We love that every time we visit, we're welcomed with amazing service. It feels like we're coming to visit our cousins LOL, but seriously down to earth owners and top notch service! I've taken family and friends here and we always leave with positive experiences. The Filipino fusion dishes are amazing as well. I don't even have the words to describe other than MASARAP! 1000000/10 I would HIGHLY recommend whether it's a special occasion or casual dining with friends, Trifecta is the place to be.
We came for the blue fin tuna cutting! Right away, I will say that the service and feel of the people working here is exceptional. They really make you feel welcome and special. I'm not sure if it's different when they are running their normal hours, but the space is a bit tight when it came to seating. Our courses were tasty, unfortunately, it did not blow me away compared to other omakases/tasting menus I've had. The tuna cutting experience was really cool, seeing the chef's break down an entire tuna and then serving it to guests. My section was nearly last to line up for the buffet, and while it was AYCE, there wasn't much selection left. The handroll portion that you'd scrape off the bone was nearly gone on our first turn. Overall, fun experience and great service.
Birthday Fireworks, Family Memories & Elevated Dining at Trifecta My husband and I celebrated our birthdays at Trifecta this year with our children, and it turned into such a memorable evening. Our neighbors first introduced us to this family-owned gem, and one of the things that keeps us coming back is the genuinely warm and personable service. You can truly feel the care they put into both the food and the dining experience. While my son and I aren't huge seafood or sushi eaters, we can absolutely appreciate the artistry behind Trifecta's sushi. Every dish is beautifully presented, thoughtfully crafted, and made with incredibly fresh ingredients and elevated garnishes. We're just admittedly picky eaters who tend to gravitate toward our comfort favorites like chicken or beef teriyaki. The restaurant is usually packed, so reservations are definitely recommended if you don't want a long wait. Surprisingly, this visit was a little quieter than usual, which made for a nice relaxed atmosphere. My husband and daughter were interested in trying the Chef's Tasting Menu, but we learned it's designed as a full-table dining experience where everyone participates -- something we may plan for another visit. The standout dishes of the night were definitely the corn ribs and chicken karaage. The corn ribs disappeared before I could even snap a photo because everyone devoured them immediately! My family also loved the Pork Adobo Ribs special. I'll admit, Trifecta is more of a special occasion restaurant for us. The bill can climb quickly, especially with multiple sushi lovers at the table, but the quality, creativity, service, and overall experience absolutely reflect that higher-end dining experience. This isn't your average weekly sushi spot -- it's a place you go to celebrate. To top off the night, the staff surprised us with dessert decorated with sparkling light-up fireworks, which made our birthday celebration feel extra festive and thoughtful. The only downside of the evening had nothing to do with the restaurant itself -- unfortunately, a couple at a nearby table was quite loud, drunk, and disruptive. Thankfully, the incredible food and attentive staff still made the night feel special overall. Highly recommended for celebrations, date nights, and anyone looking for elevated food paired with exceptional hospitality.
Trifecta sits up in the south hills near Silver Creek, tucked into a pleasant little neighborhood strip mall with a spa, a dojo, and a few eateries. It feels a bit more upscale and artistic than most sushi spots in the area, with a very nice atmosphere and a relaxed, date-night kind of vibe. Probably not a Tuesday dinner visit due to the price. Parking was easy. Service, though, could use some polis. Once seated, everything moved at a crawl, from ordering, to food arrival, to drink refills, and the staff came across a bit cold. We kept it simple with a Japanese curry cutlet meal and a kaisen don. The cutlet had a crisp coating and a mild, comforting curry, a cozy dish even if it didn't knock my socks off. The kaisen don was colorful and fresh, with a good variety of fish and a nice balance of textures. Definitely good, just not the most memorable version I've had. Not a five-star visit this time, but I could see it getting there on a better night.
Had their tasting menu $125/person and it was delicious! Really filling too you will not leave starving We did reservations (very easy) and was seated right away. The atmosphere was very warm and inviting. Loved the vibes and twinkling lights. Although you could definitely come for a more casual experience this place would be perfect for a special occasion such as birthday dinners or date nights. The tasting menu was 100% WORTH IT!' It. Came with so many delicious appetizers and entrees. It is chefs choice so you won't know what you'll get but here are some pictures attached of what we got By far my friend and I enjoyed the cod and Kare Kare! Service was amazing. Staff kept checking in to see if we were done or if we needed anything. Super attentive. Would definitely come again
Trifecta is one of my top sushi places in the Bay Area. This place exceeds my standards for quality sushi, premium cuts of fish, delicious one of a kind drinks and it has a laid back atmosphere especially on a Thursday or Friday nights when I've gone there. I've been there at least 5 times within the last 6 months and it doesn't disappoint. The attentive waiters like Michael who come and greet you and check on you multiple times and always makes sure after every order to check on you again. I feel very spoiled when I'm there because you're catered to in a fine dining restaurant like you're supposed to. You can't go wrong with anything. I went a little overboard for my birthday and had a special menu it had one of the most flavorful selections of fish with the pairing of the umami sauce that was mind blowing *chef's kiss* . What I really enjoyed about this place is a mom and pops and it is family owned. I love that I was able to meet the mom and her two sons. They work so hard and work so well together. I totally appreciate that vibe and how intimate you can get with a chefs.
I had really high expectations and unfortunately, we had a really tough experience. However, I'm hoping we came on an off night and look forward to going back and giving it another try. We came on a Friday evening and had a reservation. They were medium busy, but service was really rough. We waited 20+ to wave down a waitress to order. After our food came, we didn't see a waitress again until we got up to finally ask for a check. I'm patient, but this was not the experience you pay for here. The couple next to us had to get up 3-4 times to flag someone down. Now the food was good - we had a sashimi plate and a few rolls. Their side salad was also soooo good. The fish all tasted fresh and had good flavor combos. Pricey, but worth it for good quality sushi.
Came in on a Saturday night and was greeted right away. Once we were seated, we noticed how homely and relaxed the atmosphere and decor was inside. They had pretty lights that were dim but not too dim that we couldn't see our food or read our menus. Once we were seated, our waiter graciously offered to go through the menu with us and gave recommendations on their popular items. We went with the uni mentaiko carbonara and 2 rolls. Starting with the uni mentaiko carbonara, the sauce was thick, creamy, and has great flavor. Neither the uni or the mentaiko was too overpowering. The noodle dish itself does not contain uni and you would have to add an extra $15 if you would like fresh uni on top. The 2 rolls we had were the faithful roll and the body roll. We loved how they had their own unique rolls which definitely made them stand out from other sushi restaurants. The faithful roll is a little lighter and creamier than the body roll but still good. Our personal favorite was the body roll which had chimichurri sauce on it?! What is this, a steak restaurant?! Never seen that before and it worked out! The sauce was a nice touch and great addition to the fresh sushi. The best thing about this place and you can clearly tell they use high quality fish for their rolls that literally melts in your mouth. Hopefully this place stays open for a while because the area it's in is a pretty quiet neighborhood and restaurants are known to close down in that area.
We had the $125 tasting menu, so this rating is more focused on that particular menu option. It's stated to be 8 courses including dessert. The first two courses were edamame and these deep fried seasoned split corn cobs. The edamame was fine, though because they were seasoned in a spicy oil, your choices were to eat them with chopsticks if you had a dexterous mouth, or fully commit and get your hands oily. I opted for the chopsticks, but as a result maybe got 3/4 of the beans and some bean skin - not easy for me to eat. The corn cobs were a little weird. It was like halfway between eating conventional corn on the cob and eating a BBQ seasoned corn nut. Okay, but honestly the first two courses were barely courses and not elevated in any way. Third and fourth were a tuna crudo and a raw fish mini taco. The crudo was really good - tuna was fresh and seasoned well. The taco was small - like two bites worth (or one big bite), but good also. These were legit courses. Five was a king salmon filet in a ginger soy sauce. It was good, but it was strange in that there were three of us and this came on only two plates. The one plate to be shared wasn't twice the size of the single and a salmon filet isn't an intuitive thing to split and share. The way we were situated wasn't such that I was even sharing with my wife. It would have been much better to ask - "we usually put a double sized portion on a single plate for two people to share - is that okay or would everyone like to have their own plate?" Simple question and would have made everything less awkward, because once it's out there and served, you feel like the difficult customer if you say "excuse me, can you plate this separately?" Next (six) was the nigiri course, which was awesome. Very tasty. Course was small though: 4 smaller nigiri, one uni spoon, and one thin piece of tamago cake. No complaints on quality/taste though. Seven was a uni carbonara udon dish, which tasted pretty good, but I again found it a little strange. And no visible uni, so it was must have been subtly in the sauce. At least a bit of uni on the top would have been a nice touch. Again, two people sharing one plate of noodles - awkward. When you have discrete pieces of ahi crudo where you can neatly pick your pieces, great. But salmon filet and udon noodles - no. Eight was a kind of ice dessert - it was fine and really none of the tasting menus really get dessert right. So was it worth $125, no, unfortunately it wasn't. Four of the courses were good and on par, we can forgive the dessert, but three of them didn't really meet expectations. However, if you ordered $125 worth of stuff you liked off the main menu, I can see how this would be a nicer meal. We were hoping for a course with the wagyu, but maybe that's too much to ask at this price point. The seasoning overall was more overt and forward. Not overseasoned, but you tasted the seasoning more than the main component of the dish. Kind of the opposite approach of another more expensive omakase we tried where everything was very subtle and you could focus on appreciating the quality of the ingredients. The place is casual, not fancy, and decorated like a fairly casual walk in place. The service was excellent and very polite. So giving this 3 stars due to some of the questionable courses, rather strange communal plating choices, and it not really being worth the price. But I do believe this is actually very likely a four star restaurant that we just misaligned on for some things - that makes it hard to just assign 4 stars when your specific experience wasn't that level. But all that being said, I'd come back and order off the main menu and I expect that I'd probably enjoy everything I ordered myself.
Came here for date night and absolutely loved it. From the outside, we were unsure of our choice as trifecta is located in a strip mall and the sign is falling off. Don't let the looks fool you - this place is fantastic! We were originally going to get the tasting menu but ultimately decided to order several dishes instead. The wagyu gyoza was like nothing I've ever had before - so yummy. The yellow tail app was delicious and had a salsa verde on it mixing both Japanese and Mexican flavors. The sashimi platter and chirashi platter both had wide selections. The fish is SO FRESH. There wasn't one thing we had that was bad. The skin on the dry aged salmon was crisped to perfection. Service was fantastic. We had multiple servers but they all took care of us really well. The head chef came by our table and introduced himself which was such a treat. They told us all about their tuna cutting night they have once a month - we can't wait to come back to experience!
I emailed the team to place and order and got a reply within the hour. They did a good job providing the info. This was order for pick up so I can't say anything about the ambiance. The tray was $450 as listed on their site, but for the number of items listed, I expected a larger tray. For 6 adults and 3 kids, it wasn't enough to fill up. We ended up ordering more sushi from somewhere else. The tray had sashimi, nigiri, and rolls, all pretty small bite size pieces. It was hard to tell what was what, but based on descriptions I believe everyone really liked the Trifecta roll. The sashimi didn't seem the freshest, but it was a 40 min drive from pick up so benefit of the doubt it was partially from sitting in the car. It was worth a try and I think there are other options in San Jose for sushi platters at a better price or quantity.
When I tell you, this is the spot for elevated & delicious sushi (and Asian fusion!) It's always a good time sitting at the bar for a meal here, you will be entertained. But come with a group and share omakase style dining and it will be a great time! Service is always friendly and on point,
We reserved for Sunday and were seated right away. I won't bury the lede: the food is mediocre for the price point AND they only have a beer and wine license. For me, the limited liquor license alone means I knock off one star. Our server was kind but didn't seem to have much experience with subtlety. She immediately suggested the tasting menu for $125 a person. That turned me off. Minus another star. We shared the kaisen don, uni carbonara, 2 x chawamushi, edamame, and two drinks. Total came out to $170. - Kaisen don was excellent. The Filipino flare on the rice was delicious. - Uni carbonara was ok. The pasta was undercooked and uni smelled a little. Minus half a point. - Chawanmushi was weird. Deconstructed longansina was too sweet and the scallop was over cooked and hard. Minus half a point. - The menu did not list the chardonnay house or year. It tasted like box wine.

Came here last minute on a Friday night and was quickly seated! Love the presentation of the food, and the taste is always yummy! The corn ribs are a must-try with the seasoning and the miso black cod is a great alternative to Nobu's. Service was attentive and fast. read more

10/10 recommend. Don't think twice, make the reservation and try everything. I came in on Wednesday night and sat at the bar. Decided to order the tasting menu and was not disappointed at all. The flavors were amazing, all so well-balanced and complimented each other. I was excited for each dish that came out. Great service and atmosphere. read more

I visited Trifecta on June 25, 2026 with a neighbor and we sat at the sushi bar. The whole experience was warm, personal, and beautifully presented. Our server, Aleena, was excellent. She checked on us often, kept our sparkling water filled, and even shared helpful knowledge about oysters. Chef Jason and Chef Bradley were also very friendly and made the sushi bar experience feel special. They gave us menu recommendations and took time to talk with us about their training and told funny background stories. After learning more about Trifecta, it makes sense why the food feels so refined, with the chefs bringing serious sushi experience and a creative Japanese-Filipino influence to the menu. We tried several items, including toro handroll, hamachi tacos, salmon, and toro chili garlic. Everything was delicate, fresh, and aesthetically very pleasing. The happy hour menu is no longer available, but they do offer a full menu along with selected specials, so it feels more like a treat-yourself sushi night. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience and would happily come back, especially for the sushi bar and the friendly service. read more
Been here a few times, especially during their Happy hours (Tues-Thurs 5-7pm). Basically ordered almost one of everything off their HH menu, but these were our favorites: -yellowtail crudo -chu toro chili garlic -chicken karaage Also got their oysters, which are $3/pc and there's different flavors on each of the oysters. Also got their Faithful roll, which had shrimp tempura, snow crab, and hamachi in it! We sat at the bar and it was great interacting with the chef and watching them make the food. The place is usually packed during dinner time on a weekday. On Thursdays, they have a dj spinning hip hop. Overall, we had a great experience. The price point is a bit high, but the quality is fresh. They offer omakase, which is next on our list to try. read more

This has quickly become my go-to place for special occasions. The sushi is so fresh, the uni pasta is so delicious, and the wagyu is MMM MMM GOOD. The servers are always on top of their game and super friendly! My favorites are the king salmon and the scallops. Also, don't get me started on those oysters!!!! You can tell they care about the presentation of the food too from those carefully placed calamansi and fruits that come with the oysters. read more
Elevated sushi place with creative and unique dishes. Super friendly staff and has a happy hour here. The chicken Karaage had a light crisp and was juicy but the honey truffle aioli was amazing with it. The sashimi was good quality and the sauce pairs well. The faithful roll was one of my favorite rolls and it had a burst of different flavors. The Smoked Hamachi Tacos tasted similar to a ceviche and was smart of them to use fried dumpling wrappers as the shell. They also have creative cocktails that are tasty! Would come back again. read more
Celebrated a birthday here and tried out their Omakase Tasting Menu! It was 7 courses for $119. 3 hot course, 3 cold course, and 1 dessert. It was a nice experience as we got to try many different dishes. My absolute favorite was the Miso Cod and Chawan Mushi, which was the steamed egg with longanisa bits on top with seared scallop. Very unique as it incorporated some Fillipino influence. Only bummer was that for omakase, I would prefer to be at the sushi bar so we can experience talking with the chefs and seeing our food be made. But when we arrived, the bar was full and our reservation was put on a table so not sure if the other bar seatings were also reservations or if they go by first come, first serve. Overall, I thought it was well worth it and service was amazing! I believe it was the owner who also came by to talk to every table thanking us for coming by and supporting. It was very sweet of her to check in and let us know they have their 1 year anniversary coming up and they are having a tuna cutting! read more
My partner made a reservation here for my birthday. Even though she requested for the sushi bar, we were sat in the corner for some reason. This sushi place if Filipino-owned so you can see some influence in the dishes. We both got the omakase. It's a 7-course omakase for about $110. It doesn't sound like a lot but one of the courses includes four pieces of nigiri, which sounds confusing. Miyagi Oysters (5/5): The dish provides two oysters with 2 different sauces. The one with wasabi salsa had a bit too much sauces that overpowered the flavor of the oyster. However I really liked the ponzu sauce one as it enhances the flavor of the oyster. The 2 oysters were very plump and sweet. Seared Albacore (4/5): The carpaccio included seared tuna marinate in ponzu sauce and topped with fried onions. The sear didn't add much flavor, but it was great soaked in the ponzu sauce. Chawamushi (3/5): This egg custard dish was warm and topped with longanisa bits and a whole seared scallop. The egg was warm and comforting and the lonaganisa added crunch. The scallop was plump and tasty, but did not enhancement to the chawamushi Nigiri (5/5): This course includes four chefs choice nigiri and an egg cake. The nigiri were Shima aji, kimmedai, ocean trout belly, and toro. The fish were very fresh and the flavor additions were unique Miso Cod (5/5): this fish dish is surrounded by a pepper sauce and had a sautéed spinach side. The cod by itself was sweet and yummy. I thought it was better without the sauce . Miso soup (5/5): This was by far the fancies miso soup I've ever had. It had 3 pieces of clam and and 2 pieces of scallops Yuzu Float (5/5): probably the best omakase dessert ever. It was a yuzu sherbet floating in a yuzu soda. Super sweet, but very plentiful Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and the omakase. Even though it had a variety of dishes, I do wish it had more nigiri read more
Finally tried brunch here and wow, we're glad we did! Our older sons had been raving about it for a while, but for some reason, we just never made it out. Since we're big fans of filipino food and saw that the brunch menu had a Filipino fusion twist, we had to give it a go. My wife ordered the omakase and was thrilled they were able to swap the cod for the uni carbonara which, by the way, is an absolute must-try. Our youngest had the unagi donburi. It was solid, but not quite a standout. I went all in on the longanisa smash burger. Definitely not the lightest choice, but the flavors were delicious. And those tater tots smothered in cheesy sauce? Unreal. We somehow missed the chicken and waffles on the menu based on the name, I'm guessing it's their take on Jollibee-style fried chicken, which we're definitely coming back to try. All in all, a fun, flavorful brunch with some creative Filipino flair. Can't wait to come back! read more

I was in the San Jose area and was craving sushi for dinner. I've eaten at Trifecta once before (when it first opened) and had a pretty good experience the first time, so I thought it would be a good idea to drop by again for round two. Unfortunately my second visit was not nearly as good as my first one. The restaurant was only at 25% capacity when we came in around 7:30pm on a Friday. This was a stark contrast in comparison to the first time I came here - it was packed and there was a waitlist for walk ins! Now the restaurant just seems low energy and dead, but perhaps business slowed down after the grand opening hype. They do still keep the one stall bathroom clean though, which is nice. We ordered: - Spicy garlic edamame (4/5): This was solid but nothing special. There wasn't much spice to it though. - Otoro carpaccio (2/5): Fish was fresh but the flavors of the sauce were poorly executed. It was described as a yuzu flavor sauce but there was no yuzu flavor at all; instead, the smell and taste of nuoc mam (fish sauce) was incredibly strong and potent. This was a miss - none of the other flavors stood out because the nuoc mam overpowered the dish. I felt like it was a strange sauce base choice for tuna carpaccio as well... - Kaisendon (2.5/5): Again, the fish was fresh but this didn't really impress me at all. The minced/chopped tuna had multiple pieces of bone in it - I was surprised to find one bone let alone multiple bones. Overall, the flavor profile was a bit boring - it could have used some sort of light sauce to enhance the flavor of the fish. Overall, a very underwhelming dinner. I probably would just go to Rantei next time I'm in the south Bay and I am craving a quick sushi dinner. read more
I had high expectations for this spot based on a friend's recommendation. Perhaps they were too high because this was just a middling meal. First the pros...nice decor, friendly young hardworking wait staff. The cons...the food was not that great. The toro toast was very fishy and so were the other seafood items we ordered. Also, the order in which the food came out was messed up. Drinks came two courses in and salad never came out and we asked to cancel it. read more

read more
I kept seeing this place all over social media, so I decided to give it a couple of tries, hoping I would like it more. Unfortunately after the last time, I won't be coming back. The prices are on the higher side for what you get. The food and drinks were not good. I ordered the karaage chicken, but it wasn't exactly what I was expecting. It didn't have that crispy, flavorful coating I was hoping for, and it just felt a bit off. As for the ume shiso highball, it was way too diluted. It's a shame because I really wanted to like it, but for the price, I expected more. read more
OMG. What was I thinking??? The first time I came here we ordered a bunch of fried items and edamame. But on my second visit, I was blown away!! I realized we didn't try much sushi the first time, and that's where this place truly shines. We came here for dinner last night because my partner's daughter was craving Japanese Curry Katsu. So we just let her stuff her face with it while the two of us sampled a variety of delicious sushi. And wow! Here's what we had: **Nigiri** Bluefin Tuna - deliciously fatty and buttery. Scallop (I forgot what they called it on the menu.) Yellow Fin Tuna Ocean Trout Yellowfin Carpaccio (I'm not sure that's what it's called.) **Faithful Sushi** - My favorite sushi of ALL time. **Short Rib Bao** - the short rib was fun with the steamed bun. I was relieved when most of the seats in the dining area were taken. Sitting at the bar and watching those genius chefs create dishes was such a magical experience. The fresh fish was extraordinary! I am now a big fan of this place. I'm so glad it's in my hood. read more
Color me impressed, I came into Trifecta with some skepticism but after trying the food I am a true believer. When we arrived, even though we had a reservation there wasn't a table ready for us and we had to mill around awkwardly in the entryway for about 5 minutes before finally being shown to a hastily-prepared table. After looking over the menu, I was concerned because it came across as a bit more fusion-y than I was expecting, leaving me questioning whether the flavor-blending gimmicks would take precedent over delivering the high-quality Japanese food I was hoping for. Do you know that feeling when you are ready and almost hoping for the food to disappoint just to confirm your preconceived notions? Well I was basically there, and thankfully for me... I was completely wrong. Once the food arrived, it blew me away and perfectly explained all the stellar reviews that Trifecta has received. To start, the Body Roll was probably the single best sushi roll I've ever had, and I've had my fair share. Having the scallops on top of the roll was a revelation, and the yuzu kosho chimichurri provided the prefect topping in just the right quantity. Days later my wife and I were still talking about how good that roll was. The Miso Kare-Kare was another excellent dish, incredibly rich with a wonderful depth of flavor along with perfectly-crisp pork belly. One thing to note though is that it doesn't come with rice which it desperately needs, so I would recommend ordering a side of white rice to accompany it as we did. The Smoked Hamachi Kama and Chu Toro were also great, though my only quibble is that I wish the Chu Toro were a little less sweet to allow for the flavor of the high-quality tuna to come through more. All in all, our trip to Trifecta was an excellent one and I'll be dreaming about that Body Roll until I get the chance to come back and order one (or maybe two) again. read more

We came here for sushi last night -- the sushi itself was fresh and tasty, though a bit on the pricey side. I also tried the miso cod entrée, which was unfortunately pretty bland and lacking flavor. The decor was cute with the lights. Our server was super nice and really tried her best, but it seemed like they were short-staffed. The food took quite a while to come out, and she couldn't check on us much since she was busy helping other tables. You could tell both servers were doing everything they could, but the restaurant just needed more help to keep up with the crowd. We enjoyed the faithful roll and ordered 2 of those. Good local place for sushi, would come again. read more

Been wanting to try this place for a while... heard good things from friends. My husband and I celebrated our 15 year anniversary. We ordered the omakase/ chef's tasting range from 130-150 per person. Every dish the chef gave us was amazing. The quality of fish is so good and fresh. The rice, I'm usually very particular with sushi rice. The rice was cooked perfectly and served nice and warm. Plenty of parking, definitely will recommend to our friends & family. read more

We had an amazing experience here. Food was delicious, service was great and attentive, and loved the overall vibe. We ordered their special wagyu potstickers - so so good. Garlic edamame had a very nice sweet and spicy (but not actually spicy) garlic sauce. We also ordered 2 rolls - faithful and body roll, both were great and really had its own twist, unlike at any other sushi/Japanese restaurant I've been to. We also decided to get a dessert- ube panna cotta. Cant even describe how delicious this was! It was a wonderful experience, they didn't rush us, took their time bringing dishes between appetizers and mains (rolls) which gave us some time to enjoy our dishes, talk and savor. Many restaurants bring food all at once or before you're able to finish your starters which makes dinners super quick and overcrowds the table. I enjoyed this type of service way more! Definitely recommend this place and will be back to try more items on the menu since every dish we ordered this time hit the mark! read more

I came to Trifecta for the first time and had a great experience. The atmosphere was really nice and welcoming, which made the whole meal even better. Aleena was an amazing server and helped me out by explaining each dish and describing the food since I wasn't familiar with the menu. Her recommendations made it easier to decide what to try. The curry cutlet was really good, and the sushi was fresh and delicious. The service was great, and I'll definitely be coming back again. read more

I've eaten here a number of times now and while I won't be touching the sushi in this review, what I will say is that I won't eat raw fish from anyone else. These guys have made me fall in love with sashimi. Prior to Trifecta, I always steered clear of it. Why? Simply because I didn't know how good it could be. Today though, I'll be talking about their newly debuted "Brunch" menu which I had the pleasure of eating a few weekends ago. Since we were in a large group, we decided to do it "Family- Style" so that we could get a sampling of everything on the menu. I'll be high-lighting my favorites here: **Mochi Pancake with Matcha Custard: Ube Condensed Milk, Matcha Custard, Seasonal berries, Powdered sugar-- This instantly brought me back to Kona, Hawaii when I tried my first Ube Pancake. The flavor of the Ube was distinct with the Mochi texture rounding it out, giving that chewy texture I adore. The Ube Condensed milk sauce was just the right amount of sweet. Because of this, there was no need for me to add syrup since it was sweet enough. Had we not been sharing, I could probably have eaten this dish myself. Would definitely order this again. **Longanisa Smash Burger: Beef pork mix, Brioche Bun, Cheddar Cheese, Tater Tots-- I'm going to be honest here and tell you that my Filipino self isn't a huge fan of Longanisa. Sticky Sweet Sausage doesn't really do it for me and I never order it at restaurants nor do I eat it at family parties. I was curious as ever to see if I would like this because it was presented as a hamburger. Imagine my surprise when I took a bite and liked it. The ground beef mixture was juicy and just a tad sweet from the Longanisa but I could ignore the sweetness as it was mixed in with the melted Cheddar Cheese and toasted Brioche Bun. This is exactly how you want your hamburger to taste-- Juicy, succulent and filling. Add in the perfectly crisp tater tots and this was a winner. **Chicken Karaage with Yuzu Honey Truffle: These mini pieces of chicken are dangerous for the sole reason that you just can't have one. You know it's good when you don't realize that you keep coming back for more after dipping it into the Yuzu Honey Truffle sauce. **Fried Chicken and Belgian Waffles: Soy marinated fried chicken thighs, Smoked maple syrup, Seasonal Berries. While I didn't get to try the fried chicken thighs (the table devoured them), I did get to try the Belgian Waffle. I had to save this one for last because this was my most favorite item here. It was crisp and chewy with the same Mochi like texture as the pancake but in waffle form. Add in some melted butter and a slight dipping of the smoked maple syrup and this was fire. As for service, they handled our table with ease and attentiveness. Super friendly servers that made sure all of our waters were filled and all the food came out in a timely manner. We never had to flag anyone down as they were right there to make sure we were taken care of. If you haven't tried this place, come support a small business. I'm a fan. read more

Came in on a Thursday early evening for happy hour. The restaurant was about half full so probably don't need a reservation. Tried the ume-shiso highball and it was light and refreshing. Reminded me of high balls in Japan because they don't taste like alcohol. Our favorite appetizers were the chicken karaage and the chu toro maguro chili garlic. The chicken karaage was light and crispy and had a slight flavor of furikake. The toro tasted fresh and had a wonderful balance of spice and citrus. I like the crisp from the cucumbers and shredded carrot. The bao buns could use a little more sauce or flavor. The buns were nice and fluffy but the pork was a little hard to chew. The smoked hamachi kama was a little too burnt for my taste. Some of the fish meat had a weird texture to it. The trifecta roll was delicious. Spicy tuna was perfectly seasoned and paired well with the creaminess of the avocado and crunchiness of the shrimp tempura. Servers were polite, but did not really check up on us Had to flag the server down even though we had been sitting with empty plates for awhile to get the check. Would definitely come back for happy hour as it is more affordable, but wouldn't mind trying other entrees on the menu. read more

Sit at the sushi bar! I enjoyed talking to the Chefs and every dish I tried. A fusion of Japanese and Filipino cuisine. Sushi was fresh and every bite had a balance of perfect flavors. I see other reviews complaining of it being salty - I did not have that experience or maybe they have no taste buds. So "elite" LOL I was there on a Thursday night. It did get busier after 7pm, the servers could work on being more attentive when it got busy & we had several staff helping us -- all nice servers but could work on their workflow . Live DJ playing your favorite RnB throwbacks is awesome on a Thursday. Toro with truffle - chef made this for us and it wasn't on the menu - divine!! Scallop carpaccio - the sauce was very good Uni Udon Carbonara - sauce was rich and delicious, I didn't order extra uni but you can if you want more of that flavor , had a nice spicy kick Kare Kare Short rib - a modern twist and we asked for rice , more on the peanut butter flavor profile , I guess I could have asked for a side of shrimp paste. lol. The meat was perfectly cooked and tender. - rock shrimp tempura - sweet and mild spice - smoked hamachi Kama - grilled perfectly and was very good -Smoked hamachi tacos - small bites but plenty -Dessert - chefs make custom desserts so inquire . We had the mango cheesecake which was a nice end to the meal I was full after this meal sharing with my group of 3! I will definitely be back to order other items and want to try more! read more
