Stopped by this sushi spot for dinner and was really impressed with their omakase. The fish was fresh and beautifully presented, and every piece tasted great. We also ordered a couple of additional rolls, which were just as delicious. It's a very casual restaurant, making it an easy spot for a relaxed dinner. The staff were friendly and nice. Definitely planning to come back to try more items on the menu!

My favorites were the California Roll, Salmon Lover Roll, and Dragon Roll. The California Roll was simple, with fresh avocado and a good ratio of rice to filling. The Salmon Lover Roll tasted clean and fresh, with slices of salmon that didn't taste or smell fishy. The Dragon Roll had a combination of flavors from the eel and the avocado layered on top, with the eel sauce adding a subtle sweetness. The Lion King Roll and Monster Roll were okay. They had a decent flavor, but didn't stand out compared to the other rolls.

Had a quick Sunday dinner at Sushi Pro. The service was fast, and the wait was only about 15 minutes, which wasn't bad at all for a weekend night. Hightlight: Kaisen don: stunning and flavorful with salmon, scallops, tuna, uni, and ikura. Fish-to-rice ratio is exactly where it needs to be, and everything just went well together. Chirashi bowl: I do love the thick fish cut (actually preferred it over the kaisen don), but we made the mistake for not getting the deluxe chirashi (added uni and tuna belly I believe). We accidentally ordered the regular one, and the fish-to-rice ratio was a bit off (too much rice). Also, while salmon and tuna were great, the other white fish tasted a bit too fishy for my liking. Price: A bit higher than other sushi spots in Bay Area Overall: Solid food but I think this might be a one time only visit for me

This was our second time here and we loved it even more than the first time. The food is super yummy and price isn't that bad! The waiters are very attentive, refilling our water cups, picking up empty dishes on the go! We loved the ambiance of the place. Brought all the kids and they were able to accommodate us even with a walk in on a busy night.

Came back to try other items :) Service is still great. For such a small place, I have to say they have quite a few waiters and waitresses (at least 3) working there. They all do everything fast - serve the food, clean tables and take orders. Kudos to the team. The Unagi appetizer is nice and the meat is pretty thick. This is a good option if you are carb conscious and can skip the rice. The toro and seared salmon belly with truffle are awesome. They just melt in your mouth, so good! The sushi combo is interesting. The presentation is excellent. I wish they would at least tell us what each piece of nigiri is when they bring this dish to our table. We could not tell what we were eating for two of the pieces. They just drop it off at the table and left in a hurry Please at least educate us next time what the chef made.

Came here on a Friday night because I was craving nigiri. There was a short wait since seating was full, but there was no line. Once we were seated, we used the QR code to order. There wasn't much interaction with the staff since ordering is done through the app. The place is cozy, clean, and nice. I ordered the sake salmon nigiri, seared salmon belly nigiri, toro nigiri, and scallop hotate. The salmon and toro were my favorites. I also got the toro roll, which was good, and really enjoyed the oysters. This is my new favorite spot in San Jose for nigiri.

This is my second time coming to Sushi Pro to eat, because I had a great first experience. This time around also did not disappoint. Though we were immediately seated, the restaurant itself was pretty busy, with most tables taken up. I would recommend calling for a reservation for bigger parties. Both service and food was great, with the sushi quality being above average compared to your neighboring sushi restaurants. The omakase pictured below is definitely going to be my go to moving forward. Every bite felt and tasted high quality and delicious. I also feel like items were reasonably priced for what we got. Would definitely come back again.

This was a really good sushi spot! The quality of fish is good and I enjoyed the flavors. The wait wasn't too long and the service was quick. You do order online by yourself though. There were some gnats flying around which was annoying. Overall good and I would get takeout.

FOOD is good! You can scan the menu with your phone and order. However the order didn't go through and the server knew to check with us to ask what we ordered. They then bring the check to you at the end. It's a smaller restaurant. Simple inside. It's in the same shopping plaza as Sprouts and Home Goods. It's near my house and they prepare the food fast.

    Sushi Special
    Emily W.

Quite crowded on a Saturday evening. My party waited around 15 minutes for a table. We all got our own Sushi Special, which was 6 pc california roll and 5 pc premium nigiri. For $21.99, it was a pretty good deal and I like the presentation on the wooden board "staircase". My favorite nigiri pieces were the salmon and tuna. California roll was solid too and a good filler. The stickiness of the rice in the nigiri and california roll was at a perfect level. Overall solid food and prices are reasonable. Would come again!

Apparently I was hungry .. the avocado roll was there and then it wasn't! Digital menu & ordering. Located in shopping center with indoor & some outdoor seating. Lots of To Go orders and plenty of parking.. On this visit, I enjoyed a Tempura Bento box and a few CA, Deep fried CA & Rainbow rolls. Each dish offered its unique flavors combination. On a previous visit, we ate family style, tried new dishes & sipped Sake I look forward to the many visits to come!

Probably my new favorite sushi joint at the moment. Looks and decor matters, as well as the food taste. I really like how the interior is decorated and how the assortment comes out when you buy their sushi plate. The nice wooden stairs ensemble was a great photo op! The prices are actually pretty decent for this economy and they have nice happy hours too. Although parking is plentiful it fills up way too quickly and if you show up on a weekday lunch rush (usually starts around 12pm lasts until 1-1:30pm) it can be hell on Earth. There are tons of places to eat here in this plaza and not only are there dine-in patrons trying to park but lots of food delivery service as well adding to the chaos.

Came here for take out. Service was ok. Waited about 20 mins to get our order. As far as the sushi rolls, both were great and would definitely order them again. It is a small restaurant so it can feel a bit closing when it's packed. But other than that I'd like to try other food from their menu.

yes we do give complimentary cheese cake

Is takeout available? There's no website listed & no menu pictures.

It is! It's the only way I order. They present the menu inside on an iPad. Not sure why they don't have one on the website, but also note they close at 2:30 some days to prepare for dinner.

Do they have highchair seating for toddlers?

Yes, we have 1 highchair in the restaurant. You can ask server for it. Thank you for the inquiry. Look forward to seeing you soon. -The Sushi Pro Team

My husband and I have experienced both the 13-course Kamikaze omakase at the sushi bar and regular table dining, and every visit has been consistently excellent. If you're looking for an interactive dining experience, I highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar. Watching the chefs prepare each course makes the meal even more enjoyable. One thing we really appreciate is how easy it is to make a reservation. The staff is always welcoming, attentive, and happy to offer recommendations based on your preferences. They genuinely make you feel taken care of from the moment you arrive. The 13-course Kamikaze menu is an incredible value for the quality you're getting. Even better, they rotate the menu every month, which keeps every visit exciting. It's refreshing to return to a restaurant knowing you'll get to try new creations instead of the exact same meal each time. Every piece of fish we've had has been exceptionally fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous. You can tell they put a lot of thought into the design and atmosphere. The modern aesthetic creates an inviting space that feels upscale while still being comfortable. They also offer a fantastic cocktail menu along with an impressive selection of sake. My husband and I enjoy trying different sakes, and while quality sake isn't inexpensive, the selection here is well worth it. Parking is generally easy, though it can get a little busier since it's located near a popular supermarket. Even so, we've never found it to be much of an issue. Blue Pagoda is truly a hidden gem in North San Jose. Between the consistently fresh sushi, rotating omakase menu, beautiful ambiance, excellent service, and great drink selection, it's a place we always look forward to returning to. I feel like I could have had a better experience, since it seems I went on an off day. FOOD: Fish Katsu (3/5) - First off, I felt that the oil used to fry the katsu was old. I had a strange filmy aftertaste with each bite. I kept dipping the katsu in the different sauces to mask the aftertaste but I stopped eating because I couldn't ignore it anymore. The fish used in fish katsu is cod, I felt like the waitress thought I was dumb for asking that question, even though it's not clarified on the menu. Sorry for asking... :/ It's normal for katsu places in Japan to have huge piles of cabbage so I wasn't surprised. The cabbage added a relief from all the fried fish I was eating. Miso soup was standard with nice big chunks of tofu; the rice was fluffy and light. Chicken Curry Katsu (3/5) - Chicken was juicy and plentiful, but honestly the curry had no taste. It added a that gravy like texture but didn't have that deep, rich curry flavor we think of when it comes to Japanese katsu. Usually at these spots you're asked how spicy you want the curry to be but here it's all mild, with no option to add your own spice. VIBE: Interior is simplistic, almost a little cramped. The tray that the food comes out on takes up the whole table space so don't expect to put anything on the table. It's very loud inside. Hard to have conversations. Also strict no outdoor food/drink policy. We were satisfied with the portions and, and didn't leave hungry, but still desired more from Katsu Gin. I'd love to give this place another try if I'm in the area.

Spicy tsukemen: 6/10 I loooove tsukemen and I have gone to Tsujita in LA & SGV many times, so I was excited to finally try a new dipping ramen place! However the spicy tsukemen unfortunately did not live up to my expectations I would say the spice level is at a medium, so this is a warning to those who are unable to tolerate spice. The noodles were super slippery so it made it hard to eat with chopsticks, especially having to dip it into the broth, so we ended up asking for forks lol.
