This was our first time to this Trident location. Service was spot-on. Pizza was phenomenal. Crust was perfect, cook was great. We built our own pizzas with all of the toppings we love and we were not disappointed. We tried the "Trident Knots" as appetizer and they were perfect. LOTS of garlic and ... again... cook was perfect. I would definitely recommend. Finally, we ordered the hot pizza cookie with ice cream- YUM! A great dining experience, and great food. We walked in at 7:30 pm and the entire front of house and back of house were together in the front bar. They had their arms folded and clearly didn't want us there. As someone that has worked many years in this industry, I asked if they were closing so we wouldn't be a burden and she said they close at 10 pm. Everyone started arguing over who was going to get cut first since they had to stay for us. It was so awkward that we left. read more

A new neighborhood fave in Sam Hughes! Great pizza with attentive staff and management. I also love the meatball sliders and the tots! I would also like to pass out a couple "shame on yous" to the person that can't get out of the past and realize the woodwork is gone from Grimaldi's and to the person that went to Italy, the suddenly became a pizza expert. Even though a group of 30 walked in right before we got there....Our service was great. Well done! As good as any Trident location. The pizza crust was great for a boutique pizza place. It was blackened but not burnt, a little chewy, but not tough. The toppings were first rate. The portions were large. Had to try the truffle tater tots. After one taste of the aioli sauce, I am a fan! My wife loved the spinach arugula salad. We took home enough food for three days. The atmosphere was fun but family friendly. I haven't been here since it was Grimaldi's. The food was good! But the waitresses need better training. They oscillated between taking breaks in the front of the restaurant, sitting together on their phones and serving tables while I waited 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge me at my table, take drink orders (which they messed up) and bring out food or present the check. My Wife and I had the occasion to have lunch at the new Trident Pizza Pub. Not much has changed from Grimaldi's with the exception of the pizza! IT IS MUCH BETTER! We had the large CENTURION: Sausage, pepperoni, ham, soppressata., red sauce, house cheese. It was great. Some charred, puffy blisters on the crust, not too thick or thin. MASSIVE quantities of toppings. 1/2 of it went home for supper. The barkeep, Ted, was a great guy. Good sense of humor and anxious to please. Being the lunch hour, I expected more customers but it is the "off" season. However, after seeing the array of personalized tankards hanging from the ceiling, they already have a good following. Had lunch with my hubby today, and it was great! He got the Cobb salad and I got the Greek salad. Both were huge, and very fresh! Their red wine vinaigrette is delish. We shared the focaccia bread appetizer which came with yummy dipping sauces. It's a different vibe from the other Tridents and the food is also different so comparing the two is like apples and oranges. I've dined in and ordered delivery on several occasions and it's not always perfect but we need to be forgiving in the times we are living in. While at the Festival of Books, we got hungry. Lines at food booths there were way too long and pricey so we headed to Trident Pizza. We were sad to see the last pizza place go, as it was one of the best pizzas. We were excited to give Trident Pizza a try as we are fans of the other Trident restaurants. We were seated at the last inside table which happened to be right next to a table of 8 with all kids. After 1 minute at the table we found a server and asked for an outside table to be cleaned so we could move as the kids were so loud! They were happy to move us. The table outside was great. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. We ordered Trident knots, meatball sub with a side of tots and Mac and cheese, and a bbq chicken pizza with a side Caesar salad . The garlic knots were delicious. There we huge chunks of garlic and the marinara was tasty. The salad was good but had very little dressing and too much cheese on top. The bbq pizza was average. I was hoping for more. The crust was just ok, it was a bit chewy. The meatball sub was amazing. It is big enough to share. The tots were nice and crisp and not very greasy. The Mac and cheese was loaded with cheese and super creamy. Even though we weren't overly impressed with the pizza we would still return for the other menu items. read more

Was able to come to the new trident pizza pub shortly after it opened. Really cool trident vibe and really friendly people. The menu has a lot of options but I definitely came here for the pizza. Great food, great happy hour at 3pm. Super busy though. Get there early for lunch and HH. Paleo bowl is a great deal for lots of food. Wedge salad and peel n eat shrimp great too. My husband likes Trident on Ina but I don't care for seafood so we will have to go there and then here for me. The service was good and the manager came over to make sure everything was good which is nice to see a manager do that and not just hide in the back or not helping so it was nice too see. The service was good. The ambiance was interesting: sports bar with one or two people at the bar watching the game and then at the table a family or two. We are big Trident fans. When the pizza pub opened, we had to try them first. It helps that we live within walking distance! Their pizza and service are consistently good. Try the all-meat pizza. I've been told the barbecue chicken pizza is delicious, and the tomato bruschetta and deep-fried cauliflower appetizers were both decent. HOWEVER the chicken Caesar salad I ordered here was absolutely godawful. Mediocre dressing, chicken so dry it could resurrect a drowned phone, and a slightly sweet green sauce that didn't taste much like pesto in my opinion. We also tried the smashed-caprese hero sandwich and found it extremely blah. I'd give this restaurant one star except (a) our server was great and (b) they welcome dogs on their patio, so it's someplace nice to walk for a beer in good weather. read more

Some of you need to SERIOUSLY evaluate how you judge others. Someone commented on how it's "stripped" on the inside...it resembles a Manhattan pizza joint. I dig it. The pizza is good, the recipes are adventurous while offering 'safe' recipes for the traditionalist. The sauce is perfect, not to acidic but not overtly sweet. The crust is as a NYC style pizza should be. Perfect with those charred bits on the bottom. Staff is nice, service prompt. Good job, Nelson! This is a great move and GREAT pizza. read more

Decided to try this place out yesterday since we had a strong craving for pizza. Location: Good location in a small corner plaza. There's also a Spa by Rubs and Urgent Care located in that plaza. Parking: decent amount of parking for a Saturday evening. Wasn't too crowded. Shares parking lot with apartments which are directly behind it but had no trouble finding parking. Ambiance/Noise level: Casual dress code, seat yourself. It isn't too huge on the inside. Decent seating and noise level was loud. There are TVs inside so you can watch sports. Golf, rugby and football were on :) Food: just ordered a large pepperoni pizza with tater tots and waters all around. There were 3 tables that seated after us who received their food before us. But when our food finally came, we enjoyed it. The pizza was delicious. You get mini pepperonis, not the standard size :) but the pizza had great flavor, cheesy, not too greasy, filling and exactly what we were looking for :) saw on their chalkboard upfront that they had gelato but we didn't want to try any. Service: our waitress was sweet and had a smile on each time. We sat down and 5 mins later she came over to take our order. Upon giving us our waters, she caught that one of the cups had lipstick on it before she gave it to me, so she took it back and replaced it but spilled some water on our table and a little on me. She did give us some napkins when she came back.. it was chilly yesterday and there was a window open but every time someone would walk in, it would let in a strong cold breeze. So we asked for the window to be shut and our waitress said she had to "ask the manager" Which was odd. About 15 mins went by and we were still freezing. So We asked our waitress again if they could shut the window. She asked and i guess the manager finally let her shut the window. Restrooms: There are 2 restrooms with 1 toilet in each restroom. No toilet Seat covers. There was urine all over the toilet seat when I went to use it. Pretty disgusting. read more

After having recently dying at the Trident Pizza Pub. The one thing that can can use stay consistent is the chauvinistic attitude are the owner. He only hires young pretty ladies as bartenders and servers can't decide whether I was walkng into a Hooters instead of his establishments. My girlfriend had the A&P Pizza the crust was good, but the egg wasn't quite as done as it could have been the truffle oil I was a little overpowering. I had to grinder pasta salad hoagie roll was nice and fresh, very light and fluffy, and it's a really great amount of meat on it. Pasta salad unfortunately this Bland and after asking for Italian dressing it still didn't help favor any. We shared the tater tots, which were enjoyable. The food took a while to come out and it wasn't worth waiting for. Was in around 5pm so it wasn't busy. The pizza was just bland, nothing to write home about.
