    Lots of garlic fries
    Gale M.

I'd been planning to try Slice and Ice for a few weeks and finally got to it today. The hub and I used to really enjoy eegee's, but not for quite some time, and since I understand that Slice and Ice is owned by the original eegee's founders, my hopes were high. I used the convenient drive-through at 11:00 am so it wasn't too busy. I ordered the Three Meat and Cheese Hero, substituting turkey for the ham, and chose the garlic fries. A $1 up charge was made for the turkey, but since the final time I went eegee's they wanted an additional $5 for the substitution, I was quite satisfied. The hub and I split the sandwich and fries and that was plenty of lunch. The bread had great taste and texture and the sandwich was stuffed with eat, cheese, and veggies. The Italian dressing could use a bit more zip, though.

I ordered their snack box with cheese pizza and fries and piña colada Italian ice. While the ice was very tasty and not too sweet, the pizza is not good at all. Fries and the ranch dressing are both ok. Service was great but the ambiance and the quality of the food are meh. We set inside on their incredibly dirty chairs. I doubt I will ever go back.

Thank God it's not Eegees. Sandwiches are way better than anything eegees has served in the last 10-15 years. And better prices.

Heard this was the place to go if you wanted what EEGEES used to taste like.

We asked if they could bring it over next door to the Broadway, and they happily said yes , plus, they gave us a 10% discount! Great service, tasty sandwiches, and such a nice experience overall.

Creative sandwich concepts and pretty quality ingredients. I love that I can choose from 3…read moredifferent types of breads. The garlic sauce is also very good. However, I have to give 3 stars for the overall execution of my meal. I had a half of a Hammer sandwich which was about $8. It's ham, soppressata, cheese, lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, dijon, vinegar, oil, garlic sauce. Unfortunately, I felt that my sandwich came with skimpy toppings. I got a pretty thinly stacked layer of ham and 2 little ovals of soppressata. The cheese was barely present. I also would have loved more tomato. I got a good amount of lettuce and banana peppers, though! Unfortunately, I just couldn't taste the meat and cheese toppings super well due to their being not much of them on the sandwich. The flavor of all the other ingredients were good, though. My friend got the Scramwich on Foccacia for $14. Looking at it, I could also tell it had not much proscuitto. Upon further inspection opening one of the halves of the sandwich... it was definitely only a few little smaller pieces of proscuitto. (The other toppings were on the other piece of bread, don't worry, those were fine) Sorry for the ugly photo - hard to really capture it without dissecting the thing. I also just noticed while looking at the photo again that one of the pieces of arugula also had black spots on it... Definitely not very fresh. My friend still enjoyed the foccacia, sundried tomatoes, and other toppings, but also felt there wasn't enough proscuitto. For the price, I would hope for a sufficient amount of meat. Heard a lot of hype about Quisty's and I see great potential in their quality and concepts! With better execution I'd definitely consider coming back. It's just hard to justify paying as much as we did for sandwiches that were skimpy on arguably one of the most important toppings!

The food came out faster than expected. It was typical Baggin's fare and I find their menu to be worth the money. I did appreciate the woman bringing out cookies for folks that were waiting for their food, so they get an extra shout out and paragraph for that. I like the interior of this location more than other Baggin's I've been to; it just seems a little friendlier. The Albuquerque Turkey and chips were great for my lunch, and definitely worth the price.

Too many times we have been left just sitting there, while there are only a small handful of other customers (who have already gotten their food), waiting for our food to come out. All the while, the employees are standing around talking, laughing, and having ZERO interest in preparing or getting us our food. Today we complained to the "manager" who didn't apologize for the wait and was instead rude and dismissive. With the prices this place charges for their sandwiches, you would think they might understand that they need to provide good customer service and not treat people as if they don't matter. Well, I'm done with this place. Lots of other sandwich options around. Take a lesson from Eegees - soon you'll be closing down restaurants too.

First time at Serial Grillers and it definitely did not disappoint!…read more I ordered the Hannibal Cheese Steak, and it was absolutely outstanding. The sirloin was fresh, tender, and full of flavor, and the combination of grilled onions, hot cherry peppers, sweet peppers, tomatoes, pickles, and white American cheese was perfectly balanced. Every bite was on point. The bread was soft with a light toast that gave it the perfect texture without overpowering the sandwich. I also had a Barrio Rojo beer on tap, which paired perfectly with the meal. The service was amazing--friendly, fast, and welcoming, especially for a first-time customer. The place itself had a lot of character and a great atmosphere that made the whole experience even better. This was my first time here, and it definitely won't be my last.
