My total for the small drink, small fries, and sandwich was about $16, which kind of seems like a lot for fast food but maybe that's normal nowadays.

Not every pizzeria needs to be gourmet wood-fired stuff. They don't need to all have unorthodox menus. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that our pizza was just slightly overcooked. The bottom was charred all the way around; wasn't burnt to the point of sending it back, but definitely left in the oven a minute or two longer than it needed to be. It wasn't busy when we visited, and it seemed like the employee rotating pizzas was a little more focused on chatting with FOH coworkers than keeping an eye on the oven. I've worked in pizza restaurants for nearly a decade, so I may be a bit more particular than most customers. This year, they brought out ice from Slice and Ice (strawberry lemonade) and it was worlds better. We all appreciated the fresh flavors and the lack of garish food coloring. Needless to say, we all (AZ and CA people) have a new favorite, and we're looking forward to seeing what flavors come out for Labor Day weekend!

The Valencia French toast was good but not very tangy or orange flavored unlike the description. The egg croissant was okay but the eggs looked like they were rubber. When I checked out, I asked for a blueberry muffin, bear claw, a blueberry danish and raspberry turnover. I assume it was the owner ringing me out because they seemed to act the owner but when they went to put the items in the bag, they had to excuse themselves to blow their nose. I am watching this all happen, but instead of washing his hands first, he reaches into the case with a parchment sheet hand no gloves to grab my blueberry muffin. Now why didn't I say no thank you after that, I didn't want to be rude. Maybe I should have, but either way I'm thinking that will be the last time I go here.
