Trevor's Liquor Pizza A multi layered concept! Vast open air seating overlooking the beautiful Phoenix mountains to the north. Liquor shop, wine, beer cave, cigar room / humidor, full bar and pizza restaurant all in one massive chic location. My friend Ron helped open the kitchen here and let me know they got the "highest pizza rating in Arizona on barstoolat 8.4"... so it's time for an "expert pizza judge" to visit, here is my report: Beginners, Caesar salad $8: Massive, I could smell the garlic and anchovies right away, perfect. The Pizza, 11 inch, Cheese, $14 (great price). Note, small pizzas are cooked in the small tile oven. Large pizzas cooked in the Cuppone oven. 1) The Look, evenly spaced fresh mozzarella slices ever so slightly scorched. No "gel layer" which means it's actually cooked and made correctly, A+. Dry, not soaking wet slices, thin crust. 2) The Smell of fresh tomato's. 3) The Flavor, funny enough the crust tastes very similar to Triscuit crackers ha. Light on the sauce allows the cheese to shine, very balanced. Utilizing local Arizona Hayden Flour Mills. 4) The Digestion, I had 3 slices, half of the pie and felt great, not bloated, A+. 5) Extra Cedit: fun place, arcade games, comfy couch seating, amazing bartenders. Upscale clientele with friendly vibes. Great for dates, business or family. Big screen tv for sports or boring dates ha. Bartenders "Chloe and Jason" were so kind. Chloe told us people come from out of state to eat here!!! After asking employee Jason why the pizza is so good, he said it's the fresh ingredients that they prepare themselves, simple and effective. I'll be back. read more

Trevor's definitely lives up to the buzz surrounding their pizza! The setup is certainly unique - a clean, hip, and trendy pizza joint and bar nestled right inside a liquor store, which gives it a cool and unexpected vibe. Now, we did encounter a bit of a snag with the service, which was a little off-putting. We were seated promptly at 4:45 PM and were ready to place our order, but our server didn't come by to check on us until just after 5:00 PM. This was a bit frustrating because that's when they stop offering the larger-sized pizzas. We felt a bit let down that we were ready to order within the timeframe but missed out due to the delay. It took a bit of back-and-forth, but thankfully, they eventually accommodated our request. Despite that hiccup, once the pizza arrived, it was fantastic. They nail the thin crust - the dough had a really nice body to it, holding up well without being flimsy. The fresh tomato sauce was bright and flavorful, and the quality of the cheese and toppings was evident. All in all, even with the initial server issue, I had a great time and genuinely believe Trevor's offers some of the best pizza you can find in the Phoenix Valley. Just a word of advice: make sure you arrive with plenty of time to spare before that 5:00 PM cut-off for the larger pies! read more

I had an outstanding experience at Trevor's in Paradise Valley--an exceptional blend of restaurant, bar, retail, and even indoor golf! The space is beautifully designed with elegant lighting, a cozy stone fireplace on the patio, and thoughtfully placed areas to dine, game, or unwind by the bar. Our hostess Emily truly elevated the evening. Despite the restaurant being buzzing with activity, she welcomed us with professionalism, warmth, and efficiency. She not only checked us in smoothly, but also helped ensure our group felt prioritized--all while managing a busy floor. Her gracious and attentive presence made a big difference, turning our waits into a seamless part of the experience. Highly recommend Trevor's and especially Emily for anyone looking for an elevated and welcoming night out in Phoenix. read more

We were seated right away, and a gentleman quickly brought waters, setting the stage for what we hoped would be a smooth and celebratory evening. Four minutes later, our server arrived. He asked if we had dined with them before, and when we said no and mentioned the birthday, I felt a spark of anticipation--surely he'd guide us through the experience, maybe even add a personal touch to make it memorable. But that initial spark faded quickly. He explained the pizza sizes and crust, took our drink order, and disappeared. As we waited, I couldn't help but notice that the energy of the service matched the quiet dining room--calm, almost indifferent. When our food finally arrived, my mood lifted. The Pappardelle pasta was a visual delight, ribbons of pasta coated in a rich, aromatic sauce. My first bite gave me that perfect al dente texture, but the temperature was a letdown--it wasn't hot, just warm enough to remind me it should have been better. Then came the pizzas, still steaming from the oven. The Wiseguy stole the show with its caramelized onions melting into the fennel sausage, a sweet and savory duo that made me smile at every bite. The Sonny Boy, though, left me disappointed. Its promised spicy olives were more like salt bombs, sharp and distracting, offering none of the balance I'd hoped for. When we asked for the dessert menu, it was slid onto the table without a word. By then, the server's indifference had dulled any desire to linger. We declined dessert, feeling more like an afterthought than a guest. The entire meal, we had to ask for water refills and wave down other staff for basic items, even though the server had only a few tables. By the time we left, my emotions had traveled from anticipation to delight to frustration. The food, especially the Wiseguy pizza, is worth coming back for--but next time, I'll hope for a server who seems as invested in the experience as the kitchen clearly is.

Come for the Lasagna, Not the Candlelight Romance…read more We came here for a birthday dinner because we wanted to try something new, and by the end of the meal I found myself with two very different opinions: The food? Excellent. The ambiance? Let's talk about it. First, the good. The food was genuinely delicious. This feels like the kind of family-owned Italian restaurant where the focus is on what's coming out of the kitchen rather than what's hanging on the walls. Everything tasted like comfort food should; warm, satisfying, and made by people who care about the recipes. The service was also very good. In fact, the cook came out during our meal to ask how everything was. I was happy to tell him the food was fantastic because it absolutely deserved the compliment. Now for the not-so-good. We arrived around 5:30 PM, and the dining room was so quiet I could hear dishes being washed in the back. Not "pleasantly quiet." More "did everyone else know something I didn't?" quiet. For most of the meal there was no music at all. Just silence and the occasional clink of kitchen activity. They eventually turned on some background music shortly before we left, but it was so low that it felt more like a suggestion than actual ambiance. The tables, chairs, and overall décor are perfectly fine, but this isn't the place I'd choose for a romantic date night, anniversary dinner, or a birthday celebration where you're looking for a special atmosphere. What it is, however, is a great place to bring your spouse, kids, parents, in-laws, or anyone who appreciates good Italian comfort food without needing a white tablecloth experience. My advice? Come for the food. The food is worth it. If you're chasing ambiance, maybe lower your expectations or plan for a later dinner. The atmosphere seemed to improve after 6:30 PM as more people arrived. Bottom line: fantastic food, friendly service, family-dinner vibes. Just don't expect Tuscany. Expect comfort, and you'll leave happy.

My partner and I love mussels so we were excited to give those a try. They were very tasty but we noticed a lot of mussels with only the shells in our bowl. For my main I decided to try the humble lasagna, I was a little confused when asked what protein because typically it's a meat sauce in the lasagna. However here the lasagna does not come with a meat sauce and I was given one meatball on the side. My partner ordered the chicken parmigiana and he enjoyed his food. The pasta was just okay but the chicken was pretty tasty. For drinks I ordered the white while it's lite and really enjoyed the cocktail. My partner enjoyed the Italian Paloma. I would definitely visit again!
