First time in to this historic and cute restaurant in downtown Phoenix. Our service was amazing and the hostess was helpful in directing me to the restrooms which I just couldn't seem to find. Out food was delicious. I got the beet salad with chicken breast and it was very filling. It was served with goat cheese, arugula, pistachios and some kind of lemon vinaigrette. All the flavors meshed very well together. My husband got the prosciutto flatbread which was also very tasty. A generous amount of prosciutto, yummy red sauce, a healthy amount of arugula all served on a very thin crisp flatbread. Normally I am not a fan of extra thin pizza but it was really nice. For dessert we shared their house made tiramisu. It was so sinfully delicious. My pear martini was also bursting with flavor and was made with just the appropriate amount of sweetness that I could still taste the vodka
A Downtown Phoenix classic! They have excellent dinner offerings and one of the best happy hours downtown. Think under $10 martinis, cocktails and beers and great bar food. I really enjoy the parm crusted Italian chicken strips and sidewinder fries. Service was quick and friendly and we were easily able to be seated.
My daughter had a volleyball tournament at the convention center next door to Hanny's. She was craving pizza, so I ordered one to go. The service here was five stars and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the interior had a cool vibe inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I actually came here two nights in a row. Will definitely come back again.
My 2nd time here and I'm a fan. Decent happy hour specials 3 to 6 pm Tuesday thru Friday. I had the calabrian pizza crisp and spinach artichoke dip, both were delicious. I had the Chardonnay and the Merlot, both on happy hour. Jose was friendly and helpful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the vibe here. My girlfriends and I headed to Hanny's for dinner after seeing The Nutcracker at Symphony Hall. It's only about two blocks away, which makes it such a convenient post-show spot. We've eaten here after The Nutcracker before, a few years back, and it was fun to be back again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]One thing we always love is their stylish Christmas tree, it's different every year.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Hanny's is a very quirky place, which is part of the charm and fun.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]When our girls were younger, they thought the creepy dolls downstairs were terrifying. Now that they're older and know the history of the building as an old department store, they find them more funny than scary.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We started with the sidewinder fries, which came with two dipping sauces. Everyone devoured them, they were a hit. My friends and I ordered espresso martinis, which were very frothy and good. We ordered the roasted beet salad, and it was excellent. I especially loved the pistachios and Gorgonzola cheese. For mains everyone ordered and shared the hot honey bacon grilled cheese, and the hot honey pepperoni pizza. We also ordered the white bean veggie pizza, which was delicious. For dessert, the girls enjoyed the key lime tart while the moms sipped champagne. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Of course, we had to check out the kaleidoscope ceiling in the old elevator shaft and the eclectic upstairs bathrooms--both are always part of the Hanny's experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had a great time, and I'm sure this will continue to be our tradition. I fully expect we'll be back again next December after the show.
I've been here a few times and it's always been pretty good. The hot honey pepperoni pizza and martinis are what I hear most people talking about for Hanny's and both are great choices here. This last time I went with a simple sandwich and side salad. I got the garden sandwich and got the house market salad on the side instead of fries. I thought both were really light, fresh and delicious. I like the unique sidewinder fries that they have, which are like a cross between thick chips and fries, but was happy I went with the market salad this time.
Hanny's is one of the places we enjoy having drinks at in downtown Phoenix. We haven't had a ton of their food items but enjoy their pizzas. For this specific visit we had a few drinks and a charcuterie board. I had the Bees Knees mezcal cocktail and it was excellent. I also had the old fashioned and it was just okay. My wife had the St. Germaine and really likes this drink. We just wanted a simple bite so ordered the charcuterie board, overall was a good board with a variety of items. We were able to sit at the bar and were lucky to have Jocelyn as our bartender. She was very nice, helpful and very attentive. Hanny's will continue to be a must stop location for us when in Phoenix.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]It's in an old department store, with hefty columns holding tall ceilings, and filled with dim lighting, plush booths, wood tables and a large bar. It felt sort of grey-scale, romantic and vintage to me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'd already eaten beforehand, so my Hubster ordered a burger while I just stole his fries and tried a couple cocktails. I didn't care for the Sweater Weather Chai Martini - it somehow had a cherry taste that really just isn't for me, but I loved the Pumpkin Spice martini with its mild but festive seasonal flavors. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We spent some time exploring the building, which makes it feel like more of an experience. The basement is creepy and would probably be great for a private party, while the empty elevator shaft and second floor are fun, with lots of photo ops![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
What really sets this place apart is consistency. No matter the night, the time, or the crowd, it delivers every single time. The drinks are always on point balanced, strong, and made exactly the way you expect (and hope) they'll be. That kind of reliability is rare and it shows how dialed-in this bar truly is. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe never misses either. Same great energy, same welcoming atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only small letdown is the food. When you're sipping a cocktail that feels so well thought-out and refined, ordering something like a basic club sandwich can feel a little underwhelming by comparison. It's good food, it just doesn't quite match the level of the drinks.
Popped in here after a Yelp event to kill some time... Had a Bee's Knees made with mezcal, tasty and good. Shared a carne pizza with friend, solid and tasty. Definitely would come back when in the area. Bartenders nice and the spot was super chill. Enjoyed it! Learned a lot about Mandela, Danny Glover, Black Panther movement with my Yelp buddy. Bartender was cool, part Navajo and we got to talking about Crystal NM....she had a BLT for dinner...

So downtown is known for its terrible parking but at Hannie's I did not find it terribly complicated to navigate. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside it is absolutely beautiful and the decor, the vibe, and the music which creates a relaxing environment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I hate it here with my best friend for a girls night out for cocktails and appetizer. The staff here is absolutely amazing and I could not say enough good things about them. Their cocktails are perfection. This is not my first time at Hannie's and I feel like every time I leave I enjoy my cocktail, the decor, and ambience, but the food for me is a a little disappointing. And I hate to say that because everything else is across the board a great experience. I ended up getting the shrimp prosciutto., the bread was not toasted. It wasn't even warm. It seems like it was just sliced and it laid on the bed of arugula, cheese, and tomatoes. It did not have any flavor. And the shrimp the coating on it was unique and not in a good way so I will probably never order this dish again. After our appetizer, we decided to dine elsewhere for dinner.. Overall, I would say I would come here again for maybe a cocktail maybe traditional light bites but if I'm looking for a dining experience, it probably would not be on the top of my list. read more
Hanny's is one of our favorite places, all that today was the first time we've come for lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's in an old apartment store in downtown Phoenix. You can still see the signs with Pierre Cardin and other designers on the wall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is an elevator shaft with a glass floor so you can look down, and you can also look up into what feels like a black abyss.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is rumored to be haunted, and that certainly Spooks it up a little bit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bathrooms are on the second floor and they are super cool with hot pink neon lights, and, as I learned today, some of the little bathroom stalls have blue neon.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you walk back a little further from the bathrooms there's a bench area with morning on lights. The whole thing is just kind of cool.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a second bar upstairs. It's always been opened when we've come at night but it was closed today with a really cool divider with slidable tiles.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining room is lovely with a large bar in the center and stools around three sides.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Make sure to look at the super unique mannequin. It really is so fun![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]And the spookiest part is going down to the basement. The dark stairs have a couple of inches to the side, one with a doll that looks like it's crying, and one with a loteria card of a doll.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]When you get to the bottom there is a fenced off area with lots of dolls. Most people would say it's really creepy - - in fact, the entire basement is creepy but so cool.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There's always a headless Asian doll in a different area of the basement every time we go. The menu has super thick crust pizzas just the way I like them. There's some regular entrees like airline chicken, burger, and of course sandwiches and salads. The cocktail menu is really nice, and we've gotten some excellent cocktails here. Our server was such a nice, attentive man. The food came out relatively quickly and was really delicious. My favorite thing to order there is the Carne Pizza, and it was as good today as it always is. Someone in our party ordered the hot honey bacon grilled cheese with orzo salad, a bunless burger which came with mushrooms and asparagus and a side of fries. Two people in our party got the special, which was really good. It was a half a pizza and for your side you got to choose orzo salad or fries. I've had the orzo salad there before, and it is really good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was quite a bit different going in the day to Annie's. At night time you always have that cool slightly spooky feel, and it's not really there in the light of day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But it is a great place to go for delicious cocktails and food, and it's just kind of cool to see. I don't think Hanny's takes reservations. We've never made them, and while we have had to wait in the evening for a table, it's never been such a long wait that it would discourage us from going. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lunch time was relatively quiet, and while there were a few other parties, it wasn't packed as it sometimes gets in the evening.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking is what parking is in downtown phoenix, but there are a few spaces on the street right in front of the building. I think Hanny's is a gem. The history of the building, the quirky little things like dolls in the basement and the glass floored elevator shaft make this place super cool. It's been a few years since I was last at Hanny's. Good location in downtown Phoenix near the arenas. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dark and moody ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is decent. The food is just ok. I got the meatball appetizer and they didn't have a lot of flavor unfortunately. read more

Hanny's is one of my absolute FAVORITES in Downtown Phoenix, I'm genuinely obsessed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The building's history alone is ... an old department store turned into a bar and restaurant??[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe is so cool, a little weird in the best way possible, and unlike anything else in the city.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Every time I walk in, I feel like I'm stepping into this hidden time capsule with a twist.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their espresso martinis are top tier, hence the multiple different occasions here with multiple photos of them . The staff is always kind, the service is consistent, and the food never misses. Truly some of the most delicious dishes downtown. Whether it's a date night, a night out with friends, or a late-night vibe run, Hanny's is always a solid choice. If you haven't been... go. You'll get it once you're there. read more
What a beautiful downtown bar and bites bar. I loved the ambiance. It is in the darker side and it was bit hard to see the food. Having said that, they have a killer aromatic Old Fashion. I had sliders and it was okay. I had the chicken pesto sandwich with the orzo salad. It was nothing spectacular. Next time, I will get the steak. read more
Hanny's is my favorite bar in downtown Phoenix. I moved away six years ago, and I was so excited to go back to drink my favorite drink the St. Germain. And I was a little bum when I didn't see it on the menu but the bartender said that she could still make it and it was as good as I remember it. I love the vibe of this place that decor the spooky dolls in the basement. The food menu is also really good and so is there pizza. read more

I kept hearing about this place. That it had 2 different vibes. The menu didn't look appealing but found something I would like. I got the chicken club. Tasted good nothing special thou. I did get a mocktail called Queen of hearts. It was good and a bit tart. Also service is a bit slow but I guess while you wait you can explore the restaurant. Upstairs are the bathrooms and it's interesting and kinda looks tripy upstairs. Also downstairs they have dolls caged up. read more

Dined 10.27.24: It's been a while since I was here and happy to see the vibes are still the same! Came in late Sun night after a concert at Footprint Center just a short walk from the venue. Was quickly sat at the bar and ordered the Pepperoni & Sausage pizza and the Huckleberry Lemonade cocktail (one of my faves). Pizza was delicious and the Bartender was friendly and attentive. Looking forward to coming back they have a steak sandwich I'm looking forward to trying out. read more
I came here after a baseball game, I honestly didn't know what to expect here but I did feel kinda underdressed with a baseball jersey and shorts on. It seems like a good spot to have a date at. The music was low enough to hear but also be able to hear the people you're talking to. I ordered the spicy pepper and sausage pizza. I really should've looked up what giadinera relish is because I did not like that topping on it. Besides that, it was just an average pizza, nothing special. I did try some of my friends orders, the fries are delicious, the tiramisu was great. I didn't like the pepperoni pizza, the pepperonis looked cheap, like those small thick pepperonis that are on some frozen pizzas. I would come here again but only for drinks, apps or dessert. read more

If you're looking for a grown and sexy vibe with good food and great drinks and little bit of mystery this is your place. They dont take reservations but this place is huge so don't worry. I just missed happy hr but I did order a sidecar. I wanted to try their pomegranate Jules but they were out. For food I started off with a shrimp and chicken Caesar salad. I've had this salad many times but this dressing and chicken just delicious. It surprised me it was an elevated salad. Very fresh and something about the dressing makes you keep going back for another bite. For my main course I had the airline chicken. It's a beautifully cooked roasted chicken with heirloom carrots over potatoes covered with a creamy white wine mushroom sauce. It was so light and feeling and the sauce is rich and velvety. It was so good I can't believe it was healthy. My only regret is I didn't have leftovers for the next day. My waiter Jorgi was so sweet and attentive. He just has a presence about him. This place has great photo opportunities and I love the inclusiveness of their bathrooms. P.S. before you leave checkout downstairs. read more

I've been craving everything since I went last. Best service, coolest place ever, BEST food and drinks. Martinis filled to the absolute brim, the blue cheese olives were incredible. Our food was to die for, especially the teriyaki chicken salad. read more
My friends and I came here after work to enjoy the happy hour for the last hour only available from 3 to 6 PM on select appetizers and drinks. I wish the happy hour offered more sweeter drinks for their happy hour specials. We order the hot and honey pepperoni pizza, the side wander fries, the plate, the butter, cake, and chicken. Everything we order were from the happy hour special except for our pizza which was $19 and other items range from 6 to 7 dollars and up. My friend told me the history of this place which used to be a store many years ago now its a restaurant w/ unique bathrooms in the upper level and have a creepy with dolls. Be careful I heard the dolls are evil & I had seen too many movies. We enjoyed all of our food and would like to come again in the future. read more

The BEST martinis!! I LOVE coming to Hanny's. The unique decor, friendly staff and overall experience we get here always make my night! They play great music and it's interactive throughout the restaurant. They have a basement with dolls (a little creepy to some) and a fun open area with a light experience. They make the best espresso martinis and dirty martinis. read more
I'm not sure what to make of Hanny's. I went for a nice way to punctuate my day, and ordered a mint julep, Moscow mule, and the bruschetta. The server prefaced that the bruschetta is mainly olives, which I thought would be no issue as I was expecting some sort of tapenade, but it was more of a rough dice with a seasoning I wasn't a huge fan of. As far as drinks are concerned, the mint julep could've done with some more muddling. And the Moscow mule would really benefit from a strain or changing their recipe to English cucumbers, unless the big seeds floating around is intentional. I would love to give it another go the next time I'm in the area. Based on my perception from the outside, I was ready for an upscale cocktail lounge with good music and drinks. For the price point and the delivery I just wasn't super thrilled. read more

First off, Dominique was dope af!!! Great service and conversation as well as decided my dinner for me. The Good: GOOD is an understatement, DOMINIQUE was AMAZING! From start to finish, she made my dinner at Hannys memorable as I'm writing almost two months later about. The pizza was delicious. will get this when I come back to Phoenix. I was there for the Entomological Society of America annual meeting and this was last night we had dinner. Zero regrets. The butter cake was also am explosion of flavor in your mouth. Next time I'm ordering two. As a Dark Souls fan, I appreciated the peculiar statues for their decor. The Bad: it's a bit dark, but waa-waaa to me. It sets the mood. The Ugly: nothing, place was beautiful. I came here 1. For the name (my wife's uncle is named Hani) 2. I was recommend to when I asked for pizza, someone from the Hyatt restaurant where I was staying. I will be back, Dominique was awesome! The best place to go here, is during the weekday when there isn't a huge crowd as there usually is. (I've been told) I met up with my Yelp besties in which, was one of our best places chosen to meet up at thus far. The parking was irritating but it's in downtown so there's no surprise there! If you're lucky, you will get a slot spot parking, in the front of the establishment as I did. The waitress and staff were all really nice and catering. The food was great! I had the Hanny's plate, Fries and a slice of the honey pizza. The fries were my absolute favorite and the hh portions are perfect! This is a place I'd go to, regardless of hh or not. It's worth it! The upstairs is a great place to have a bridal shower as there's, another bar along with nice seating overlooking the restaurant. I was shocked to hear that, this Hanny's location used to be a shopping center turned into a restaurant. Hench the, signs being still up. Nice!!! The bathroom area was neat because of the lighting and the doors, appearing to be speak easy doors. I'm not a fan of the bathrooms, because although small, you gotta touch everything...sink handles and door... ugh! I used toilet tissue to open the door and to touch the sink to wash my hands. Yes, I'm a bit of a germaphobe. Side eye if you're not! The place is perfect for gatherings as well as, date night! The ambiance is perfect! My only.... let's say, creeper moment was seeing the many dolls in the basement, behind a huge secured, locked gate. This was a total CSI SCENE I was so creeped out that, I refused to take photos because, I didn't want that bad juju in my phone. Lmao frfr I honestly would like to know the story behind these dolls and being in the basement all crowded around a table. Yikes! I need a CSI INVESTIGATION on this, ASAP! I stopped by here before going to a Suns game. I heard great things about the store and the food so I wanted to check it out. It was happy hour so I was looking to get a quick bite to eat. The front desk was not very helpful when I entered and just said sit anywhere. I found a table at the end and then waited several minutes for the waitress to come by. She was not very friendly and did not provide any options to order. The waitress on the tables nearby was much for attentive and helpful to the customers. I should have moved tables and had a better experience. I decided to order the chicken strips and the Mistletoe cocktail. The drink was brought out quickly. It was very sweet and lacked much alcohol. The chicken strips were brought out shortly after that. They were very tiny pieces on a piece of lettuce. They were very cold and tasted like rubber. I had to wait several more minutes for the waitress to come around. I finally asked someone to find her and address my complaint. Luckily, they were able to make a new one and bring it quickly. It was warmer but the quality was still not great. After that was done it took a while to get the check but I could not wait to get out of there. read more

How late is kitchen open?
Monday thru Friday last call for food and drink is 11:30pm. During the weekend is is 12:30am.
Do you need reservations?
It depends when you want to go. For lunch or a weeknight dinner, I would say no.
Is it wheelchair accessible?
It absolutely is! Both for table seating and the bar! :)
Is there a Happy hour?
Unfortunately they do not have happy hour. Please feel free to enjoy a $5 Martini or $8 Manhattan.
Is there parking?
Ther is street parking that is metered until 10pm. There is also a garage on van Buren and first. I believe it's chase tower. There is a garage there that is cheap or free though.
Do they have $5 martinis for happy hour?
I actually don't know by now. Promotion may change.
