The best place to go here, is during the weekday when there isn't a huge crowd as there usually is. (I've been told) I met up with my Yelp besties in which, was one of our best places chosen to meet up at thus far. The parking was irritating but it's in downtown so there's no surprise there! If you're lucky, you will get a slot spot parking, in the front of the establishment as I did. The waitress and staff were all really nice and catering. The food was great! I had the Hanny's plate, Fries and a slice of the honey pizza. The fries were my absolute favorite and the hh portions are perfect! This is a place I'd go to, regardless of hh or not. It's worth it! The upstairs is a great place to have a bridal shower as there's, another bar along with nice seating overlooking the restaurant. I was shocked to hear that, this Hanny's location used to be a shopping center turned into a restaurant. Hench the, signs being still up. Nice!!! The bathroom area was neat because of the lighting and the doors, appearing to be speak easy doors. I'm not a fan of the bathrooms, because although small, you gotta touch everything...sink handles and door... ugh! I used toilet tissue to open the door and to touch the sink to wash my hands. Yes, I'm a bit of a germaphobe. Side eye if you're not! ‍ The place is perfect for gatherings as well as, date night! The ambiance is perfect! My only.... let's say, creeper moment was seeing the many dolls in the basement, behind a huge secured, locked gate. This was a total CSI SCENE I was so creeped out that, I refused to take photos because, I didn't want that bad juju in my phone. I love coming to Hannys, but I had a little trip to Dubai, and when I came back, I was on a big mocktail kick, so I wanted to review Hanny's. It's always so weird that places charge you the same for a mocktail vs. a cocktail when I remove the alcohol. Hannys is my soulmate. My mocktail was like 7 bucks, not 14 like most places, and it was scrumptious! Their hot honey pizza, you can't beat it; it's a classic staple here. I stopped by here before going to a Suns game. I heard great things about the store and the food so I wanted to check it out. It was happy hour so I was looking to get a quick bite to eat. The front desk was not very helpful when I entered and just said sit anywhere. I found a table at the end and then waited several minutes for the waitress to come by. She was not very friendly and did not provide any options to order. The waitress on the tables nearby was much for attentive and helpful to the customers. I should have moved tables and had a better experience. I decided to order the chicken strips and the Mistletoe cocktail. The drink was brought out quickly. It was very sweet and lacked much alcohol. The chicken strips were brought out shortly after that. They were very tiny pieces on a piece of lettuce. They were very cold and tasted like rubber. I had to wait several more minutes for the waitress to come around. I finally asked someone to find her and address my complaint. Luckily, they were able to make a new one and bring it quickly. We stopped in at Hanny's prior to a concert at the Footprint Center. It is close by and easy to find street parking nearby. We had a party of 7 and were pleasantly surprised we found seating right away as the place was crowded for a Monday night. I loved the vibe of the restaurant. The lighting, music, noise level was just right. People were actually dressed up which I loved. We ordered the sidewinders with sauce to start which is basically Parmesan fries but they are amazing. My husband and I ordered dirty martinis which were ice cold and delicious. Our friends ordered Negronis which they said were very good. Others ordered wine. Prices were on par. For food we ordered the carne and the spicy pizzas. Although they had a decent flavor, I would say pizza is not their strong point and I would call them more of a flat bread. The crust was not crispy, it fell kind of flat in all of our opinions. Another person ordered the chicken club which they said was fine. Our waitress was nice and attentive. We had major flight delays and arrived to our hotel late, we were hungry and the front desk person recommended Hanny's. We didn't know what to expect but decided to walk a few blocks over. I've been here a few times but this was the first time I've tried their food. Was not too impressed. I got the chicken Milanese, it was bland. Not sure why it came with a side of butter to dip with. Hanny's is really different than what I had expected. I had always heard of the dolls that they had so I just assumed the restaurant itself was on the darker side but it's actually a pretty nice place. The bar right in the middle of the entire building is quite the centerpiece. The food was good, we ordered the hot honey pepperoni, a little sweeter than I was expecting but still good. We also got sidewinders and a caesar salad. We did end up going downstairs to see the dolls and they definitely give off a creepy vibe. I've always enjoyed the food here, but the management completely ruined the experience. After bringing up a legitimate issue with my food, the manager on duty refused to shake my hand and dismissed me by saying I'm the only person who's ever complained and that the business doesn't need my opinion. This was done in front of my guests, which was unprofessional and embarrassing. I live downtown and eat here 1-2 times a week, or at least I did. Customer feedback shouldn't be met with arrogance. A fab spot to grab light bites and cocktails downtown before or after a game, show, symphony, etc. It is set in an old department store and I highly suggest walking around and exploring the building. Been here a long time ago and remember liking the hot honey pizza. Tried something else another time as well but can't remember what it was. We met up with 3 other friends who were already upstairs in here around 7:30pm. They asked for a table downstairs after confirming that we were meeting up. I felt bad for our waiter because we had all eaten already so none of us got food. Table of 7 of us. Most of them ordered drinks though. I took a break at this point lol. It was a good thing we had the table in the corner that was a bit secluded because we were pretty loud. It's a cool spot for late night. Different vibe. I'll be honest with you these were fire drinks we had at Hannys. We didn't get a chance to eat there so I'm not sure how the food was, but the lemon drop was really good and so was the Mai tai. I was impressed by a really cool underground area they had with some props, there were some creepy old school dolls there, and it was caged up. Definitely didn't seem like somewhere I wanted to stay for every long haha but it was nice to take a video of the display and leave. The upstairs has some really fancy looking bathrooms, definitely worth noting since it stood out compared to the usual plain stalls and you see everywhere else. You can take an elevator or stairs to get there. The service was stellar; the bartender was quick with the drinks and mixed some bomb cocktails. read more

This has a strange but slightly wonderful feel, from the design of the building to the odd art installations (creepy basement dolls!) to the absolutely bizarre bathrooms. All in all, Hanny's is an *experience*. (And allegedly haunted!) The food is average, typical pub fare, which honestly does feel weird in the setting. My friends noted that they expected a higher end menu from the vibe of the place. They have a decently large cocktail menu, and I was excited to see a maple Manhattan on there. Sadly, it was not maple-forward, mostly just catching the sweetness of the maple than the flavor. My friend did the huckleberry lemonade, which she liked enough to order twice. I think it's all about what you order. For dinner, i had a veggie flatbread pizza, which was ok, but nothing to write home about. My friends seemed to like their grilled cheese and salad, respectively. The homemade ranch dressing was the star of the show, and the fries were pretty delicious too. Service was prompt and friendly. I was actually super disappointed with my experience at Hanny's. I have always heard really good things about this place but what I experienced was nothing like what I've heard. My friend and I came here at 11pm on a Thursday after a show. We immediately placed an order for fries and let the bartender, Elijah know we needed a minute to look at the drink menu. Well it took over 20 minutes for the bartender to come back to take our order, there were only 4 other people at the bar. Our fries came out before the bartender even took our drink order!!!! We ordered Moscow mules and they were so bad we didn't even drink half of them. Pretty much a waste of $40. I have no intention of ever coming back. read more

The chatter of everyone talking immediately went away, guests were uncomfortable and it was obvious. But the DJ was up in the booth bopping around like he was at the car wash and had no clue. I called the next afternoon and spoke with Miles. I shared all with him and my concern cuz I was planning on taking guests there for the holidays. I wanted to know if this was the direction as far as music. He responded that he would "investigate " but it is quite possible I could hear it again if it was late at night. I'll have to pick a different venue for my coworkers. I know things change, but up until last night Hanny's was one of those places that still had some class. Kinda sad. read more

After attending a concert in July, we decided to come to Hanny's for dinner and drinks. The wait to be seated was ~20 minutes, and the staff were friendly. The place appeared to be clean and our waitress, Kayla, was knowledgeable and pleasant. I have never been in a place like Hanny's that, from my perspective, was a cross between a restaurant and a club. At one point, it was a department store prior to what is now a restaurant. The DJ playing music was fine, but I also like to hear the conversation over dinner. We had the Chicken Club and the Panino. Both were very good. I recommend the Maple Hook for a drink, but for someone who lived in Hawai'i, I would give their Mai Tai a major pass. What stood out the most were their eclectic bathrooms which used to be clothing changing rooms that were either bright (blindingly) pink or blue. In the downstairs area is creepy art that included dolls sitting around a table with pennies and outside in a glass chamber was a statue of a semi-naked woman in bondage. I do not know what that is about, but it creeped me out. read more

It was a great experience from the bartender managing the entire area flawlessly to the Parmesan shots, with a try to the random baby dolls downstairs. Check that out but don't think about Annabelle while doing it . Recommend getting the pizza and fries. The fries were freshly cut and cooked and the pizza had a chefs kiss. So, we tried another restaurant this evening. Hanny's, it was a department store back in the day but today its a bar/ restaurant. I have read most if the recent reviews and I can tell that on a Monday at 630pm it was not crowded or loud. But i can see that on Friday, Saturday evenings it could crowded and loud. The vibe of place is cool and modern. We were seated the waitresses was engaging and talked about the history of the building and took our drink, orders. The food, you scan the QR code, which in a why I think is ok. They have a Happy hour between 3-6pm, we missed that. The menu has a little bit of everything. We started off with the Shrimp Cocktail my husband and I shared this, you get 5 large shrimp which was the perfect size to split. My husband ordered the chicken club sandwich which cane with fries. He liked it, i had the cauliflower Caprese and In added steak to it. Wow, this was amazing think a hash with steak on top. It came with mushrooms, red peppers, onions. This was a great keto meal, the steak had the perfect seasoning the relish of mushrooms red peoper snd onion was excellent and the cauliflower was roasted and was excellent. I highly recommend this if you are keto. For dessert we split the GF Brownie, it comes with gelato so we got an extra scoop of gelato so we had our own. This was excellent!!! You know, this place is one of those ones where you go for a unique experience. Considering the establishment itself was turned from an old shopping mall into a restaurant, it had a lot of really cool things inside. They had quirky mannequin displays created out of left behind materials from the mall, unique mirrored hallway bathroom that used to be a changing room and don't forget the creepy basement with the dolls (you may need to sage yourself after lol). All of which created a really cool atmosphere, and our waitress was so well equipped with all sorts of info about it all, which I really appreciated. The food was so so only because my chicken was so so salty it was really hard to enjoy. My partners sandwich was amazing though and that definitely helped balance out my meal. The drinks were great and if you go for happy hour, they gave good deals too! Would I go back? Maybe, just to give the food another try, but we'll see when I get to doing that.
