Raspberry cooler
H R.

I was in Ogunquit for a few nights with my family and even though we love lobster, we needed a change-up, so we tried this little hole in the wall taqueria. It's on a rooftop surrounded by foliage, hence its name. We had to wait for a table, and the waitstaff was very nice. We started with some chips and guac, which were pretty good, and I also got a Raspberry Cooler to drink. It was nicely presented and tart! Then we moved on to the tacos themselves. I got two of the quesa birria tacos with the slaw as a side. Oh my god, these tacos are heavenly. They were warm and filled with cheese and flavorful birria, and when you dipped it in the consommé (au jus), it blew my mind. The slaw was really good too, it was a good palate cleanser. I got to try some of my family's carnitas tacos, and they were pretty good too. Can't wait to return! Overall 4.5/5

Lobster tacos!

We had such a great experience here! The staff was incredibly accommodating with our toddler -- they even had high chairs for both regular and high-top tables, which made things so much easier for us. The food was outstanding (everything was so fresh and flavorful), and the drinks were even better. Highly recommend this spot whether you're visiting Ogunquit as a family or for a fun night out!

Our server was insanely nice, the food was delicious, the drinks were great. Love the vibes. Pretty outside seating. I enjoyed that the margaritas weren't too sweet.

What a fun spot! Everyone that works here is super friendly - we loved our waitress. The outdoor seating area gives you a nice view of the Main Street below too. Very trendy and "instagramable" but in a fun and not a forced way. Food was delicious and filling. Margs are great!! Had to grab dessert to go because I was so full. I'm glad I did because the cheesecake hit the spot later that night! 100% would come back here for some chips and tacos. Highly recommended.

Had a great time for late pm tacos! The birria taco stole the show! Super fantastic. Sat outside and had a great server.

Birria, pollo & carnitas tacos with a side of slaw.

Great location and family friendly. A very relaxing yet lively place to enjoy food! The drinks were amazing - had the classic treehouse marg and then the pink dragon. For food, we had the traffic light app (salsa, queso and guac) then enjoyed the pollo, carnitas, birria and Maine lobster tacos. Absolutely get the lobster taco, you won't regret it! Service was amazing too. Super energetic and provided great insight on the food and drinks. I would recomend this place to any family or group of friends looking to amazing tacos and drinks.

Blackened swordfish tacos with beans/rice, sliced serranos and house made hot sauce.

Food is delicious, fresh, flavorful and creative. Not your Taco Bell tacos! Blackened swordfish tacos and grilled veggie tacos were excellent. The trio of apps (guacamole, salsa and queso) and chips is generously sized for 2. The raspberry lemon mocktail was delicious! Ask for the house hot sauce, if you like heat- they need to bottle it! The street corn doesn't need to be served with chips- great as a side dish on its own. Server was friendly and helpful but could use more training- silverware and napkins arrived well after app was delivered and there was no offer of more water. Outside seating is nice. Pro-tip- send one member of your party up the stairs from the street level to get on the wait list b/c there's no place to wait for a table at the top or get dinner to go.

House margarita

Just had margaritas but they were so good! Came during happy hour. The food looked really good too! Vibes were great!

This place absolutely ROCKS! Super attentive staff, chill atmosphere, excellent drinks, and the tacos are to die for. I will certainly be coming back here soon and if you haven't tried this place yet I strongly urge you to check it out!

We made it!!

We've been trying to come here since this place opened... When they advertised as a treehouse I just had to check it out. Sitting on the porch overlooking the street is the ideal spot...so we sat at the bar and had one delicious house Margarita then moved along the railing facing the Main St so I could people watch!r Dinner: Taco Plate $15 Chicken Tinga & Veggi with house slaw Taco Plate $15 Birria & Chicken Tinga with rice and beans Mojito $12 Classic Guacamole $10 Modelo Beer $6 We were served promptly and pleasantly. It's all about the atmosphere at this place.

I'd discovered it several years ago and was reminded why it remains my favorite- sit down or take out. Vibrant colors are everywhere at Bandito - from the walls, the artifacts, the tiles lining the bar, the furniture and of course the food! The menu isn't excessively extensive but has the ethnic staples done right. My ingredient of this recent trip - mango salsa! Packs a punch in the burrito bowl especially with a dose of guacamole and hot salsa! Enjoyed my take out and always enjoy lingering at the colorful interiors or outside over a margerita! In a high-rent area surrounded by expensive restaurants, it seemed like a safe bet that it would be a decent meal or they wouldn't be in business. It wasn't. We ordered enchiladas. The choices were chicken, beef, and cheese. I asked if I could get 2 cheese and one chicken and the waitress said flatly, no. Because they don't bring chips and salsa to the table unless you buy them, we ordered chips and guacamole. Both were insanely salty. The enchiladas arrived lukewarm - as was the rice and black beans - and had the vibes of airplane food. The chicken was from a can - similar in taste to the smell of high-end cat food. So two orders of (small portion) enchiladas, super salty guacamole and chips, and two bottled beers came to $75 before the tip. We felt very screwed and will not be going back nor recommending this place.

It was a busy Sunday night, the restaurant was pretty full, but we were seated right away. We had a hard time deciding, but didn't want anything too heavy. I opted for tacos. Our server said 2 was the sweet spot, so that's what I ordered. One fish and one shrimp. She gave us a pro-tip, order the guacamole side, as it was a very generous portion (and she convinced hubs to get the side of chips with his meal - well played). My tacos were underwhelming. I ordered them street taco style, and they were minimal at best. My BFF ordered the beef & shrimp, and I missed out on the picked onions & other fillings. Hubs ordered a salad bowl, and the portion was generous, very filling, he only ate half. The side of chips helped us devour our sides of guacamole. The guac was good, but could have used more kick and a bit of salt (which was not on the table, and we didn't bother asking for). We enjoyed our meal and the laid-back casual atmosphere. We'd visit again if ever in the area, and we do hope to come back, as we fell in love with Ogunquit.

Like, I'd probably go out of my way just to come back. It is a super unassuming spot behind the building of a gift/craft store and ice cream shop. There is a bar seating and patio. It was not too crowded at 3ish in the afternoon on a Monday; we were greeted warmly and told to choose a table. They didn't have a high chair but they had booster seats. I got a glass of brut rosé and my husband got the Pilsner on draft. Both were refreshing and delicious! I got a half dozen oysters (followed by another half dozen afterward) of the fresh oysters of the day, and also learnt this place is on the Maine Oyster Trail. For good reason too--they were probably some of the best oysters I've ever had. Shucked perfectly, with delicious cocktail sauce, horseradish, lemon and mignonette. So good I had to get more. I had a burger for my main, with a gluten free bun and no cheese for dairy free. They also have gluten free fries that are made in a separate frier, bless! My husband got the lobster roll, cold style and said it was absolutely delicious--his first lobster roll and everything he hoped it would be. On top of the food and drinks being great, our server was an absolute gem. So kind, so helpful, he went above and beyond to take care of us and ensure my food was allergen safe. He even went out of his way to get milk for our toddler in a fun kids cup. I truly hope to make it back some day soon!

I've been ordering this pizza every time we visit, and I hope they never take it off the menu. We ordered the sweet chili wings, but they came out oily and kind of flat on flavor. The burger at our table was decent but definitely on the dry side. The pizza was saltier than we expected, so that missed too. On the bright side, the sweet potato fries was good, the drinks were solid, and the location is great.
