Tree Wise just trimmed up and lightened our front yard live oak and they did a great job. They were sensitive to my concerns and didn't blow me off for being female. This was the first time this 14 years in the ground tree had been trimmed and it really needed it as it basically looked like very large bush. The only downside is that we lost some of our privacy and now have a view of the cu de sac across from us but I feel that on the whole, it is still an improvement for our yard. Now I can replant and rearrange my front yard for better use. They trimmed two Chanticleer Pear trees and one Flowering Cherry. The pear trees were full of leaves and very pretty. Now they have been nearly stripped of all leaves and branches. This would impact value of home. The cherry tree now has a gap in a visible locations. Instead of looking like an umbrella, it looks very awkward. I will never use Tree Wise again. read more

It is really quite pathetic when the owner of a business has to create a Yelp account to defend themselves. Commenting on a negative review to put the poster in a bad light and insinuate that they are lying is beyond unprofessional. An apology and an effort to improve are what ethical businesses do. What is even more pathetic is that these 5-star reviews are from users with just one or two reviews.. I don't think there is much more to say there. The tree in my backyard is a Sequoia Redwood, which is protected by the state of California. The neighbors have every right to cut whatever branches are hanging over their side of the fence. They hired two other companies to prune the tree, and the companies declined their business after learning that they wanted them to destroy the tree, which is illegal because 1. The California-protected tree would become sick and 2. It would require trespassing onto our property. Tree Wise was the answer to my neighbor's prayers as they were willing to do what was asked. The tree has been butchered, and our property was entered without our permission. Tree Wise doesn't seem to understand that entering one's property without permission is the definition of TRESPASSING and is in fact illegal. Appropriate action will be taken, and had I been home the police would have been called. I would like to include this clip for everyone who has unfortunately been in the same situation. The judge rules in favor of the defendant, stating that he "did absolutely nothing wrong but buy a house that had a tree." Darrell and his crew came today and thinned out a cherry tree that was shading our solar panels. They also pruned back a few other trees and planted a new one for us. Everything was completely cleaned up when they left. Getting our quote was just as efficient as the completed work. I had them come out to trim my trees again after five years. Their first job was great and so was this one. Though they were initially booked months in advance, they must have had a cancellation, called, and were able to come out the next day. This time I had the trees trimmed back more than before and they look great. As usual, they were clean, professional, and efficient. They chipped up all the limbs and left everything as clean as it was before they came. And even though they cut back some fairly large limbs they didn't hurt any plants in the yard. Tree Wise response was very unprofessional. Why should a person who PAID to have a tree trimmed have to pay AGAIN to get it corrected? That is my question to a business owner, poor business, poor response! Yes, after the tree was BUTCHERED, its spring growth showed how poorly this tree suffered. He even mentioned it needed 3 years of reshaping to fix.....so WHY would he say this and expect I pay again and again and again to fix his lack of follow up???????? YES...it should be free! I recently hired Tree Wise to come out and get rid of a huge tree in my front yard. It had these little berries that would drop on my white car and leave little stains. The tree root had also started to warp my curb. They came out on a cold but nice day. After about 2 hours my nightmare tree was gone! They even, somehow, got rid of the stump. I looked out my kitchen window and also saw one of the guys with a huge air blower blowing the sawdust off of my neighbor's cars! They were awesome! A very good tree service. Today we had three trees trimmed in different ways, two shrubs removed, and very old hedges trimmed and lowered. All was done quickly and precisely. They cleaned up everything and finished well before the estimated time. They were very careful to protect outdoor lighting around the yard. This is the second time we have used them. After Tree Wise did a great job taking out some invasive trees and planting three better behaved species for a friend of mine, I asked Tree Wise if they could donate some wood chips to my school where I was a teacher. They did so, and the students LOVED working together with wheelbarrows and shovels to cover a large area with the aromatic and diverse tree trimmings. This was a couple years ago. The mulch has been so helpful in keeping the plants alive in the kids' garden during this drought. Completely butchered the century oak on our property by cutting of ALL of the branches that hang over the neighbors fence. Where I realize that this is legal, we now have half a tree. We have had a local professional arborist prune the tree over the years, but our neighbor hires these "hacks" to come in and lop off everything. When my husband asked them of their intent, he was met with a brusk response and could later her the owner call him an a**hole. I later went out and heard him "training his staff on the fly," yelling at them, "No, you shouldn't have cut that branch, that is an important one, oh well, too late..." Is this how a professional tree service does your trees...hires inexperienced workers and tells them they did it wrong after the damage is done? The guys are up in the trees swearing, the owner or foreman is constantly yelling at them for errors. is this anyone you want working at your home? NEVER ever.... read more
