When we bought our house two years ago, it came with an avocado tree that was growing close to the side of the house. Over time, it became more of a mess than anything, and we started worrying that the roots might eventually affect the foundation. We decided it was time to remove it and started getting quotes. The delay was mostly due to coordinating with the dental office next door, since the tree hung over their parking lot and the crew needed access to it. There was a lot of back-and-forth, but Alfredo was very helpful with scheduling, communication, and working around what worked best for the dental office. This morning, I met with Adolpho, who was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. I explained that I didn't want any mess left in the parking lot because I didn't want complaints from the dental office. He completely understood and made sure to start after 8am to comply with the San Leandro noise ordinance. The crew removed the avocado tree in an hour, did the stump grind, and cleaned up everything perfectly. While they were here, I also had them remove a camellia tree on the other side of the house and trim a hedge that hadn't been touched in years. Hernandez Tree Service was awesome. I got several quotes for some basic tree & bush trimming in my backyard. In particular, one tree was entirely blocking my view of the bay (Alameda)! HTS not only had the best quote, but they were the quickest to respond, friendly, and down to earth. I was worried that the tree wouldn't be trimmed enough to fix the view, but they succeeded and kept the tree form! We had an overgrown oak tree that was so top heavy it had started to split.We love how much shade our tree gives us so we wanted to save it but we were okay parting with it if necessary. A friend referred us to Alfredo, we called on a Friday for an estimate and he came that same day. We shared our concerns about the safety of it splitting, how close it is to power lines and we also told him we would prefer to keep the tree but wanted his professional opinion. He inspected it and let us know that it can be trimmed to balance it out and that complete removal was not necessary yet. He scheduled to come work on it the following Monday. Alfredo, knows his sh!t. When he came out to give me a quote he recommended that we take the whole tree down cuz it was splitting down the middle. I said let's try and save the limb by cutting rid of some of the weight on the limb , and then tie the limb and the tree together. This was on a Wednesday, scheduled him to come out the following Tuesday to day the work. Thursday night, 24 hours after Alfredo was there we came home from dinner. You can see the tree how it split and the limb fell onto the roof of the house. Called Alfredo he said he could get his crew there Saturday before noon. On time. Called in the late morning to ask about getting an estimate for trimming some trees and bushes on my property. The call was answered immediately, and I was told someone would be over a few hours later. A couple of hours later, as promised, Alfredo came by to do the estimate.
