AAA Tree service exceeded our expectations. Tony from AAA Tree service could not have been more helpful. He understood how important our big tree is to our family and our sense of home. We had a large, overgrown California Sycamore tree in my front yard. Look at the picture. The tree had high branches jutting up into the sky like wings. Branches broke off in the wind, falling down on our cars and on the rooftop. Tony and his team worked to carefully manicure the tree back into a manageable size. They cut only along the joints, so the tree still looks completely natural. AAA Tree Service protected our windows and roof. They provided cones and signs so that my neighbors could park elsewhere for the day. After the work was completed, they cleaned up everything! In fact, our yard was cleaner after they left than before they arrived. Our tree is still magnificent and grand. It feels like it protects our house. Thanks to Tony and his crew, it looks beautiful again. HIGHLY RECOMENDED read more

Thank you Tony & team! Very amazed that AAA trees could squeeze me into their schedule for a last minute urgent & very big job - three high branch tree trims of several large trees in our very complicated yard. They worked hard and diligently all day to get the work done before the storms and cleaned up nicely afterwards. Hannah was quick and professional getting me scheduled and amending the proposal when needed. So grateful! read more

Called to get an estimate to remove large tree at the side of my home in San Leandro. Tony came out promptly and provided an estimate within a day. He checked with the City to see if permit was required and notified PG&E to flag any potential problems when grinding stump. With the all clear they scheduled the removal. Prior to that date Tony came back for a final check to ensure no autos were obstacles to his crew or equipment. Crew arrived 30 minutes before start time to set up. They worked steadily until lunch time and after a brief break resumed working. They finished the job at 4:45pm. 'They swept up saw dust and fallen limbs. Left the area clean & neat. VERY satisfied. Excellent, worry-free experience. Would gladly use AAA Tree service again and highly recommend Tony and his crew. read more

This company is top of the line! Tony and his crew fit in an emergency tree cutting for my neighbor whose dead walnut tree came crashing down during the last high winds & nonstop rainfall. It was precariously leaning against my house with only part of my fence barely holding it back. It was a large, heavy tree. AAA Tree Service took care of this nightmare in short time with all the safety requirements in place and left my backyard super clean. Not even a single plant in my yard was harmed! They were a wonderful crew. Very professional and personable as well. If there were 10 stars to rate them, that's what I would give this company. I am so grateful, Mona Faltis in Oakland read more

I have used them twice now, and I love their Service. The group works like a large army, working together to perfection.

Tony and the crew did a tree removal and they went above and beyond. Excellent service and very respectful of the property.

Really really great. Called on a Friday afternoon, had an estimate by the following Tuesday 8am, and all work scheduled for the Tuesday 10am after that. I needed city trees cut back for a solar project, and these guys are unincorporated Hayward approved to cut city trees (note this was at my expense, the city did not cover the cost). I needed 2 trees crowned and I wanted them to still look nice and they did a beautiful job. They also cleaned up everything after. These guys were so nice and professional. Super pleased with the whole experience. read more

Tony & crew came to do tree work and started at 8 a.m. and done by 10 a.m. He did exactly as I asked especially given it wasn't the usual request of crown thinning or pruning of the tree. They removed top half and left it looking how I wanted! Whole process from estimate, scheduling, and dealing with staff was great customer service! Tony came out to estimate and following week the work was scheduled. I am a big fan of sharing good quality local companies and this one is one of them. They are reasonable priced and do great work. I've had them prune this same tree and they did an amazing job on it about a year ago. Never disappoint with their workmanship! If you need tree work contact AAA Tree Service. read more

I had safety concerns with a large tree in my backyard. Called a couple of the larger tree companies first to get a tree safety/risk assessment from their certified arborists, and get estimates for both trimming and possibly cabling, and also tree removal costs. Both companies gave shockingly high estimates, (8-10k for removal, leaving the stump), twice the figure I had in mind. I had used AAA about 10 years ago to trim this same tree and their price was very fair at that time, so I then called them for quotes on this job. (They don't have a certified arborist/risk assessor, which is why I didn't call them first). Tony (the business owner) came by promptly, and we talked. Their quote was WAY lower and within the number range I was hoping for. Scheduled the work for removal, and they showed up about 15 minutes early on the assigned day. Great first impression. Abel was the climber/lead cutter, with his two man crew. I was super impressed with the precision they used in removing the upper large heavy limbs, and carefully lowering them to the ground while avoiding a shed and fence that were both within a few feet of the tree. No damage done whatsoever! The job took 1 1/2 days, and Abel told me that if not for the proximity of shed and fence, it would've been a one day job. I really appreciated the care and time they took! I requested that they leave the large stump intact at about a 36" height, so I could use it as a workbench/table. Tony came by and did the cutting on that part and did a pretty good job of leaving it pretty level and flat. They also did a great job of cleaning up the backyard and front street where their chipper truck was parked. No trash left anywhere. This crew is GOOD, and I couldn't be happier with their work and professionalism. Highly recommended! read more

I had a dead walnut tree in my backyard that needed to be cut as the branches were rotting and falling. There were finches nesting in the hollows and I could hear chicks, so I waited till august (end of nesting season in CA) I had multiple arborists come and give me free quotes. Some were as high as $4000. These were all big names with lots of reviews and flashy websites. Then I contacted AAA Tree Service. They came over the next day to see the tree and gave me a quote immediately verbally and sent a formal one over email later. The quote was very reasonable given that I had a simple, no leaf tree, with little cleanup and no hauling (I chose to keep the wood) Hannah was very responsive over email and made sure I had the permit/permission to cut the tree. She even gave me the email addresses of the city officials to contact, who were equally responsive (replied in 2 hours. Who knew!) and they let me know that permit was not needed and to use this email as proof if any neighbors ask. We setup a date/2-hour window to cut the tree. No advance $ needed. 2 days before the date, I checked in and confirmed that we're still on schedule. On the big day, AAA arrived on time. In fact they came a bit early. The full force of 3 trucks and 2 trailers and a 4x4 etc. These guys are fully equipped to mow down a forest, and have everything from cranes to chippers to stump grinders and chainsaws of all sizes. A team of 4 started prepping and setting up. They were well coordinated and knew how to swing the branches off other branches to ensure the falling branch does not damage the fence or the neighbors shed etc. There was one snafu in the beginning where a branch shattered in two(rotten) and a part fell into the neighbors yard, but I do not fault them for this because they didn't know just how rotten this tree was. After that they were extra careful to let the branches down via rope and prevent shattering/breaking mid way. One guy was in the tree with spiked shoes and harness etc cutting the branches and 3 others were on the ground throwing him ropes, catching and clearing branches etc. Once all the branches were down and the main trunk was cut, the stump grinder guy brought the machine over and did his thing while the rest cleaned up. Within an hour they had everything done and then they packed up for the next appointment. They accepted personal check and there were no changes or surprises to the initial estimate cost. Overall, I am very happy and satisfied with what they did. Nobody got injured and nothing got damaged. The AAA convoy left and as a new homeowner doing my first major fix-up, I felt a sense of accomplishment. Hannah, Tony and the rest of their awesome crew have all been great and very professional and I recommend them highly! I don't miss the tree and can now work on improving my backyard. Some of the birds are still baffled as they swoop to the area and can't find a branch to land. They'll get over it. read more
