Moreno Tree service did an excellent job and cutting down my palm tree and trimming the other one. I called him on a Tuesday. He came by my house to give me a quote within a couple hours and told him he could do it the next day. He and his workers cut it down in a little over two hours. They cleaned up everything didn't leave a mess. The quality of his work was excellent. He also charged a fair price. Final selling point he is insured! Over the past few years I have now used Moreno Tree Service twice and have been very satisfied both times. They are quick to respond and quick to get the job done, all for a reasonable price. I was amazed how quickly this process with Moreno was from start to finish. I called him at 9am, he was at my house within the hour to provide an estimate, and his team was at my house the following hour! On the hillside in the backyard they removed one pine tree, raked up all the pine needles and debris, cut all of the "volunteer trees", trimmed and shaped up a few other trees, cleared everything out of my yard and was packing up by 3pm. They were very professional, organized, and didn't damage any of the nearby plants that I wanted to keep. It was around 90 degrees but they pushed thru and got the job done. A palm tree next door grew so fast once we started getting rain again, that it was blocking the view. Then, after reading about the fires in L.A., I realized that the palm tree could also be a fire hazard to my house, like a giant torch burning in a 60 mph wind. So I called Moreno Tree Service. Oscar came out to the house last week and looked carefully at the tree from my kitchen window, asking how much I'd like taken out. I wanted a lot taken, but was afraid the tree might look terrible that way. Wrong: yesterday he and his crew gave the tree a perfect haircut; it looks better than it did before; I think the owner (lives in NYC but - ) will be very happy - and I certainly am. We had a dying Monterrey Pine in our downslope backyard that we needed moving before the storms did it for us. We got three bids and Moreno Tree Svcs we're the middle price but easily the most attractive bid. Here's why: 1. Punctual - showed up on time to evaluate the scope of work involved and quote a price; 2. Insured and licensed - and proved it within 5 minutes of my asking; 3. Experience - his evaluation of what the job would require was much more thorough than the other guys and resulted in him bringing the right sized crew for the job. On the day of, he and his crew showed up about an hour earlier than the promised 8:30am so that they could prepare the work area and have someone in the tree by 8:30. First cut started at 8:32 and by about 3pm a 70ft pine tree was cut down to the ground and hauled piece by piece up about 30 steps to the waiting truck and chipper. And the work area was shockingly immaculate. They even repositioned the five or six wine barrel size planters and the string lights that they'd had to move in order to take out the tree. In short they did the job I asked them to do. They did it efficiently. And they left a spotless work area as evidence of their having been there. And they did it all in an atmosphere of laughter and camaraderie. It was an impressive performance on all fronts. This crew is very very good at what they do. read more

Coincidentally, we were currently looking for a business that would cut down 4 of our trees in our backyard, so I decided to call them for a quote. I got a live person and not a recording, which was refreshing. They responded quickly and their quote was the best quote of all the quotes we received. They arrived the day and time that worked for us. I was amazed how quickly they got the job done. They also left our yard looking very clean after the job was done. If there was a negative, they weren't able to remove the trunks. Their reason was their equipment to remove the trunk weighs 600 lbs. I didn't ask, but I would assume the location of our trees would make it difficult for them to use their heavy equipment.
