We reached out to Moreno based on their online reviews here. We'd say they exceeded our expectations on many fronts. First, Herminio was prompt in responding to us the same day we called to get a quote. At the end of his day, he stopped by for a quick look at our 70-plus-foot redwood tree. He gave us a reasonable quote to trim the sail of our tree, and thin it out to remove broken or problematic limbs and let more sun through to our back yard and solar system. He offered to start in less than a week. The next day, he texted me to say he could start Saturday if that worked, only 2 days after I had first called. He and his crew showed up at 9 am and worked hard and quickly to transform our tree. He also cleaned up our yard as well as our 2 neighbors' yards that they had access to, and then put all the limbs through the chipper and swept up the street before finishing up about 6 pm. There was hardly a trace of them when they left. The only problem we had was our lemon tree lost a branch from a fallen tree limb, but they tended to it, and we know it's a small price to pay given the amount of trimmed branches that they felled from our tree. We will definitely recommend Moreno Tree Service to our neighbors in the future and will use them whenever we need tree trimming in the future. They were skilled, kind, and pleasant to the neighbors and us the whole time. read more

I have just had the most enjoyable experience working with Oscar of Oscar Moreno's tree service. I contacted him from a card left in my mailbox, who knew, and was not disappointed. Oscar has great communication skills and has excellent knowledge in all things trees. Oscar came to look at the job and quoted me a fair price. He and crew arrived on time and began first by cutting down to four feet an oleander hedge that was out of control. Then went up the hill to removed dry brush and weeds followed by shaping and trimming a large tree. The crew made sure the patio furniture was protected and cleaned and bundled all debris to take to shredder out on the street. If you EVER need anything tree or yard call Oscar Moreno's tree service for excellent work at a fair price. You will NOT be disappointed. Best tree cutting company I've ever hired in the Bay Area, hands down. From start to finish, the entire experience was amazing. They were professional, on time, hardworking, and clearly knew exactly what they were doing. They made the whole process easy and stress-free, and the quality of their work exceeded my expectations. They handled the job with so much care and precision, and when they were done, everything looked incredibly clean and well taken care of. It's not easy finding a company that is reliable, honest, and truly goes above and beyond, but this team did exactly that. I'm beyond happy with their service and would highly recommend them to anyone needing tree cutting or tree service work in the Bay Area. I will definitely be a customer for life. read more

Over the past few years I have now used Moreno Tree Service twice and have been very satisfied both times. They are quick to respond and quick to get the job done, all for a reasonable price. This past experience, I texted to get an estimate, they were here a few hours later, then scheduled the job for the next day. They did exactly what I needed (about 4 different things) efficiently and left my yard clean of all debris. I am very happy with Moreno and will definitely be calling them to trim my trees again in the future. read more

I was amazed how quickly this process with Moreno was from start to finish. I called him at 9am, he was at my house within the hour to provide an estimate, and his team was at my house the following hour! On the hillside in the backyard they removed one pine tree, raked up all the pine needles and debris, cut all of the "volunteer trees", trimmed and shaped up a few other trees, cleared everything out of my yard and was packing up by 3pm. They were very professional, organized, and didn't damage any of the nearby plants that I wanted to keep. It was around 90 degrees but they pushed thru and got the job done. I would highly recommend them and use them again in the future. It was a great value for the price and hard work! Thank you. read more

A palm tree next door grew so fast once we started getting rain again, that it was blocking the view. Then, after reading about the fires in L.A., I realized that the palm tree could also be a fire hazard to my house, like a giant torch burning in a 60 mph wind. So I called Moreno Tree Service. Oscar came out to the house last week and looked carefully at the tree from my kitchen window, asking how much I'd like taken out. I wanted a lot taken, but was afraid the tree might look terrible that way. Wrong: yesterday he and his crew gave the tree a perfect haircut; it looks better than it did before; I think the owner (lives in NYC but - ) will be very happy - and I certainly am. They were fast but very careful, too, and cleaned up perfectly. Very happy! It was a lot of hard and tricky work, and the price was very reasonable. read more

Herminio and his team did a fantastic job and were able to help us quickly prepare for our first fire inspection. His quote was incredibly reasonable and after the initial estimate they were able to come a few days later to complete the work. Our front and back yard were so spic and span afterward. They worked very quickly and cleaned up everything down to the last leaf and branch. I was so impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. We had a dying Monterrey Pine in our downslope backyard that we needed moving before the storms did it for us. We got three bids and Moreno Tree Svcs we're the middle price but easily the most attractive bid. Here's why: 1. Punctual - showed up on time to evaluate the scope of work involved and quote a price; 2. Insured and licensed - and proved it within 5 minutes of my asking; 3. Experience - his evaluation of what the job would require was much more thorough than the other guys and resulted in him bringing the right sized crew for the job. On the day of, he and his crew showed up about an hour earlier than the promised 8:30am so that they could prepare the work area and have someone in the tree by 8:30. First cut started at 8:32 and by about 3pm a 70ft pine tree was cut down to the ground and hauled piece by piece up about 30 steps to the waiting truck and chipper. And the work area was shockingly immaculate. They even repositioned the five or six wine barrel size planters and the string lights that they'd had to move in order to take out the tree. In short they did the job I asked them to do. They did it efficiently. And they left a spotless work area as evidence of their having been there. And they did it all in an atmosphere of laughter and camaraderie. It was an impressive performance on all fronts. This crew is very very good at what they do. read more

Great job for the Moreno crew on one of our big olive trees! They cut, trimmed and shaped the tree and now it looks just wonderful! Don't hesitate to have Moreno take care of your trees. read more

Called for an estimate and they came the same day to quote me. After reviewing what had to be done, he gave me the quote which I thought was reasonable. Which included the front and backyard and hauling of the debris. Then I was told they could come the next day to do the job, which was not I was expecting. I accepted their services. The next day I came home from work, the front and backyard was done. The yards look great now. Thank You Moreno Tree Service for a great job done. read more

We had a great experience with Moreno Tree Service. The price was so reasonable, the crew was fast, thorough, efficient. And they went way above and beyond- we had hired them to clear out some brush in our backyard and clear some trees. But they also tidied up a big section of the front of our house, around the driveway and down pathways. We will use them again. read more

Their business card was left on our mailbox. Typically, these types of advertising normally ends up in the trash. Coincidentally, we were currently looking for a business that would cut down 4 of our trees in our backyard, so I decided to call them for a quote. I got a live person and not a recording, which was refreshing. They responded quickly and their quote was the best quote of all the quotes we received. They arrived the day and time that worked for us. I was amazed how quickly they got the job done. They also left our yard looking very clean after the job was done. If there was a negative, they weren't able to remove the trunks. Their reason was their equipment to remove the trunk weighs 600 lbs. I didn't ask, but I would assume the location of our trees would make it difficult for them to use their heavy equipment. But they were able to keep the trunk at ground level, which is better than I expected. I highly recommend Moreno Tree Service if you need your tree trimmed or removed. read more

I needed to clean a big fallen branch of a tree in my backyard. Moreno preferred to take a look at it physically, when I offered to send him a photo and a video to get a quote. He came by quickly and gave the best quote. I wasn't able to be present the next day when he came to do the job. He did an excellent job and cleaned the branch and fallen leaves without any supervision. Not only that, he did not make any fuss about the fact that I couldn't be present to pay him! And he trusted me to pay him later. Highly recommend him for quick response, quality work and trustworthiness. read more
