Wow wow wow... I did not know I was gonna be writing a 5-Star review today for anything other than a great restaurant or something in my travels from Las Vegas. However, this morning, I find myself meeting a team member from JMV Tree Service, who is a licensed arborist and very professional, and I asked him if he could remove a few trees for me. He said yes and once he saw the project and its scope, he told me he could complete the project in a few hours. Then about 30 minutes later, he sent a crew. (It's all in the timing)!! To my amazement, they removed all of it while I was at work and they did such a fantastic job. I wish I did it months ago because this tree has been bothering me and dropping things in my backyard and it was driving me crazy. Absolutely bonkers... so much so, I bought a leaf blower because this tree was making such a mass every day on the deck. And in just a couple hours and for a very fair price, Jonathan and his team at JMV Tree Service did a fine job and made it very easy for me. I wish I could give this business 100 stars. Juan was very responsive when I called for an estimate, and he came out to our home the same week. Scheduling was super easy, and the estimate was so reasonable, considering the trees in our backyard had gone rogue! Johnathan was the lead arborist, with a team of 4. He was extremely professional and went over everything to be sure nothing would be missed. All I can say is WOW. Juan responded within hours, and came out the next day to review all of our tree trimming and removal needs at the house. Juan was very knowledgeable about every tree species and the timing and recommendations for cleaning and pruning, topping and heading. JMV had done a fabulous job at my office property so I was expecting a great job again at a reasonable price. The following week, a generous crew was dispatched, and did a thorough, energetic, and mostly meticulous job pruning, trimming, and sculpting all of our trees, large and small, and removing three unwanted trees along our neighbors' fence. They went above and beyond. Trimmed everything thoroughly, and artfully. There were a few additional small trees, touching the house and overhanging the edge of the roof, and they trimmed those as well, to head off insurance problems next year. At the end, we walked the property and reviewed the job together, and Carlos had no problem doing a little bit of extra pruning with pole trimmers to meet my wife's exacting aesthetic standards! The crew of 5 to 6 men came out to remove a 15 yr old magnolia tree that was ruining my concrete patio and soon to damage my home's foundation. We asked JMV to remove two relatively large trees (one grapefruit tree and one magnolia) + stump grind. Juan gave us a very reasonable quote. The crew was very professional. They showed up on time, and made quick work of the two trees. What really impressed me was their clean-up work. My backyard was carpeted with grapefruits at one point while they were cutting the grapefruit tree, but it couldn't look cleaner after the crew finished up. Showed up next day after the quote with a crew of 6, EARLY, and had the chain saws ripping at 8am sharp. They were very cautious cutting down our dead medium sized tree next to our house using ropes to pull in sections of branches/trunks away from our home and safely to the ground. They setup multiple sheets of plywood around our windows and walls to protect as they dragged out branches and literally didn't leave a mark anywhere. They used blowers and rakes to clean up all debris and ground it all up street level. Barely took 2 hours. Honestly so happy and all the guys were very respectful. Without a doubt, the best tree trimming service I have ever used. Our house in the Niles district is lucky enough to have some large, fully-grown trees in the front and back yard. But it also means that they need to be trimmed every couple of years. We hired JMV this time and the entire process was handled very professionally. They first came over and spent time going over the project, offering suggestions/advice and then sent over a quote electronically. Once we signed the contract, they set up a date, and their crew showed up right on time. The crew was obviously well-trained and took pride in their job. They spent the entire day trimming the trees, clearing the debris from all the surrounding areas (including the neighbors yards), and left the place cleaner than they found it. I used JMV Tree Service this past Monday to cut a tree in front of my house that is impacting the foundation of my house. I also had them remove some junk trees between my neighbor's yard and mine because we are going to build a fence between us. Frankly, I was impressed in multiple ways. 1. They showed up on time. I have had experiences with contractors that are not always the same. 2. Five workers came. I think Louis appears to be the team leader. He actually is great, professional, polite and courteous. 3. During the process, there was something that I needed to talk to the office. I got connected to Jonathan. Just like Louis, Jonathan is great as well. Problem solved. 4. Found them on Yelp, and was happy to find they met all the expectations I read about. They were very responsive, came out and provided a reasonable price for the service. We scheduled the time and they came promptly and were done within a couple hours. They asked how I would like it pruned, so I asked them to trim it high so it was not blocking so much light. I relied on their expertise and it turned out really nice. They worked around the wires that went through the tree and safely avoided any issues. They cleaned up the branches so no leftover debris as well. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a tree pruned.
