Juan's crew arrived this morning a few minutes before the promised time. They made sure to protect a parked car in front of my house and informed my neighbor so she could move her car. I spoke with Carlos, the crew chief, and let him know what type of trimming I needed. Carlos and three other crew members did a fantastic job of trimming a city tree that grows out of control. Their wood chipper allowed them to shred and remove tons of tree branches. After working on the tree, they also left my property and my neighbor's property spotless. It's so nice not having the thick tree branches blocking light and I'm hoping that a flock of crows is also discouraged from roosting in that tree any longer. This company is excellent. They were great at explaining their quote and communicative when they were running behind due to another job running a little long. Once they arrived, they made quick work of the tree they were removing, cleaned up all the excess debris, and were on their way. Very minimal distruptions on our end. I had a great experience with JMV. Juan came to otter residence in San Mateo quickly and gave me a quote by the end of the day, which I thought was reasonable. We had a very tall Camfor tree in front which I wanted removed, plus other trees that needed removal or trimming. Juan responded within hours, and came out the next day to review all of our tree trimming and removal needs at the house. Juan was very knowledgeable about every tree species and the timing and recommendations for cleaning and pruning, topping and heading. JMV had done a fabulous job at my office property so I was expecting a great job again at a reasonable price. The following week, a generous crew was dispatched, and did a thorough, energetic, and mostly meticulous job pruning, trimming, and sculpting all of our trees, large and small, and removing three unwanted trees along our neighbors' fence. They went above and beyond. Trimmed everything thoroughly, and artfully. There were a few additional small trees, touching the house and overhanging the edge of the roof, and they trimmed those as well, to head off insurance problems next year. At the end, we walked the property and reviewed the job together, and Carlos had no problem doing a little bit of extra pruning with pole trimmers to meet my wife's exacting aesthetic standards! Wow wow wow... I did not know I was gonna be writing a 5-Star review today for anything other than a great restaurant or something in my travels from Las Vegas. However, this morning, I find myself meeting a team member from JMV Tree Service, who is a licensed arborist and very professional, and I asked him if he could remove a few trees for me. He said yes and once he saw the project and its scope, he told me he could complete the project in a few hours. Then about 30 minutes later, he sent a crew. (It's all in the timing)!! To my amazement, they removed all of it while I was at work and they did such a fantastic job. I wish I did it months ago because this tree has been bothering me and dropping things in my backyard and it was driving me crazy. We asked JMV to remove two relatively large trees (one grapefruit tree and one magnolia) + stump grind. Juan gave us a very reasonable quote. The crew was very professional. They showed up on time, and made quick work of the two trees. What really impressed me was their clean-up work. My backyard was carpeted with grapefruits at one point while they were cutting the grapefruit tree, but it couldn't look cleaner after the crew finished up. Showed up next day after the quote with a crew of 6, EARLY, and had the chain saws ripping at 8am sharp. They were very cautious cutting down our dead medium sized tree next to our house using ropes to pull in sections of branches/trunks away from our home and safely to the ground. They setup multiple sheets of plywood around our windows and walls to protect as they dragged out branches and literally didn't leave a mark anywhere. They used blowers and rakes to clean up all debris and ground it all up street level. Barely took 2 hours. Honestly so happy and all the guys were very respectful. I used JMV Tree Service this past Monday to cut a tree in front of my house that is impacting the foundation of my house. I also had them remove some junk trees between my neighbor's yard and mine because we are going to build a fence between us. Frankly, I was impressed in multiple ways. 1. They showed up on time.
