I've used Arborist Now before and have always felt comfortable working with Remy. During our consultation, he took the time to listen to my goals for my backyard landscaping and discuss the scope and cost of the planned project. The crew, with Jeremias as the lead, made the entire process go smoothly. They were effective, efficient, professional, and respectful of my property. The work was completed with great attention to the areas we discussed, and I'm very pleased with the results. I would definitely recommend Remy and the Arborist Now team to anyone looking for professional and reliable landscaping and tree-care services. read more

I've never hired an arborist before and was very pleased with the service provided. From my initial contact with Arborist Now, scheduling a time for an assessment - to the arrival of the pruning crew the following week, the whole process was very clear, simple, and easy. The cost seemed reasonable compared to other arborists I checked out online. I'll definitely call them again when I need more work done. read more

After another arborist never responded to my emails, I contacted Remy. His team is simply the best. Remy responded right away and I had a proposal within a day. The work was completed two days after I accepted the proposal. The crew was fast, did amazing work, and cleaned up everything so well. We are very happy with the outcome! read more

We hired Arborist Now to trim a number of trees and bushes that had grown over our backyard fence and were hitting our neighbors' buildings, as well as our own house. They arrived on time and with a crew of four. I had thought the work would take half-a-day, but it was completed it in two hours, including cleaning up the large quantity of debris that fell into the neighboring properties. We had asked them to preserve the valued privacy of our backyard as much as possible when doing the trimming. They did a great job at that and we were very pleased with their work. read more

Great job! Guys were in and out and trimmed the tree with longevity in mind! It was an awkward situation with overhang from our neighbors property and the team navigated the situation perfectly read more

We have worked with Arborist Now and Remy and his team now for at least 20 years. They are knowledgeable, reliable, professional, and extremely pleasant to work with. Remy has taken special care with a very old and "on its last roots" avocado tree, which we are all trying to keep alive. The tree trimming team he sends out is top-notch, with a shout out to Jeremiah. On-time, careful, listening, checking in often, and doing a superb job of both the work and the clean up. They do a fantastic job! read more

they tried to block up spaces 24hrs prior, which they need to give 72 hrs prior to enforce. the signs were not permitted as it was their own not provided by the city. i asked the team working for their manager and they said they didn't have a number from them. sent me to others to take care of damages to my car as they cut a tree right over my parking space. quick to pass me to someone else and get off the phone with me with no resolution. read more

I can offer a very simple review. We have hired Arborist Now three times. My wife handles these matters. She says they are very neat. We have had to trim trees due to city mandate and insurance requirements. Our house is on a corner. So there is work to be done every five years or so. I'd like to comment Yelp. This social media platform is a service. it shows the value of crowdsourcing. I cannot say that of every form of social media. I belong among those with the opinion that this innovation has had mixed results in terms of influence on behavior, individual and collective. But a place where you can obtain a set of impressions, admittedly of varying quality (no self praise; I am sure some wonder about my scribblings here), about businesses you might patronize, does what is needed in a free market: it offers information for a decision about how to spend money. The best recommendation is the one you would make to your prior self and future self. We intend to call Arborist Now when we next have an issue, as we have before. Many thanks. read more

EDIT: the owner keeps lying even though *he was not there during any of the work or after*. The attempt at gaslighting is as unprofessional as the results. Save yourself a headache y'all this is a racket. The owner is a bold faced liar and his reply here is no different. His team didn't access a neighbor's yard that they needed to and lied about it. (1) The neighbor says no one went in her yard. (2) We have footage that no one went in her yard. (3) No trimming on that side of the hedge happened, and (4) the owner insisting they did wasn't. even. present. - Yet another "company" where the "owner" sells you on service his untrained team cannot execute on. This experience was bad. The owner has a nasty combative attitude right off the bat ("If you trim it it will just grow back" is a wild phrase to have on repeat when we hired him to...trim), and his "team" didn't do at all what was promised. We mainly needed a hedge trimmed on our neighbor's side. We coordinated with the neighbor to have the team enter the yard and THEY NEVER DID while LYING about it. When the time came to leave our yard and enter the neighbors' and they just...drove away instead of completing the main task of the job. The lies ranged from "we couldn't access it because we didn't have shoe covers" to "we did access it but with a small ladder" to "we trimmed the entire thing." Now how can all of those things be true? They can't. They aren't. This company lies. The lies *only stopped* when said we had footage of the workers, after our neighbor said they never were in her yard, and the hedge *is untouched* on her side. The two hedges we asked to be squared off aren't remotely squared and were barely touched. Light green growth still present everywhere. Just lazy, lying people who couldn't complete a basic task. A blind person with clippers would have done a better job and made more cuts. Shady, bad work. read more

I am so glad I followed my garden designer's recommendation to hire Arborist Now. They completely transformed my backyard! The project was extensive, involving site prep, planting, a new sprinkler system, rabbit netting, and even building a beautiful meandering path on a steep slope. The crew was professional, friendly, and kept the entire process running smoothly. Even when I requested a few changes along the way, they accommodated them promptly with clear communication and incredibly fair pricing. I can't recommend them highly enough! read more

June 12, 2025 This was the third time I hired Arborist Now. Today's job was to tame our monster Bird of Paradise; carefully prune the Hawthorn tree; and removed the dead, ugly fronds from an adjacent yucca tree in our SoMa garden. The crew was on time and carefully stepped around our flowers and plants as they worked. Both the Bird of Paradise and Hawthorn tree look "civilized" now. read more

My wife and I have hired Arborist Now on three separate occasions to do pruning, dead tree removal, and care for a sick tree. The arborists are extremely knowledgeable, and spent a lot of time with us helping us to understand our trees and make assessments. Arborist Now - Our gorgeous trees after an Arborist Now hair cut - Tree Services Near Me - San Francisco, California

Updating my prior review. We are in process of trying to resolve the tree situation with Arborist Now.

We were able to get a same-week assessment appointment for our 60-something foot California incense cedar which was overhanging our roofline. Matt who did the assessment was knowledgable, friendly, and the estimate was very reasonable. Work was completed by Matt and Robinson within the week, and it was done quickly (less than four hours) and neatly, even though access to our backyard was through a very narrow space. Previous cabling of co-dominant stems, which had been done many years ago, was inspected, and additional cabling was installed. The tree looks really good, and the risk mitigation with the pruning and cabling is in good order for the next couple of years. read more

We had 6 overgrown trees to be trimmed. Two 80 year old Holly trees, and 4 Hopseeds. Remy came up with a good plan and Peter, Martin, and Jeremiah did an amazing job in trimming the trees. The price was fair for all they did and our backyard looks more beautiful than ever. read more

Arborist now promptly responded to our request for a bid to trim our pine trees. They really took the time to examine our trees and to let us know their current condition and their recommendations for trimming our trees. They provided us with their license and proof of insurance as requested. We got four bids and found their price to be very fair. Both Matt and Joss were nice to work with and their crew was great. They promptly arrived at 7:30 am and were done by noon. Clean up was spotless. I would highly recommend Arborist Now!! read more

I have hired Arborist Now several times. They are very professional and organized. I was able to get a quote from Remi in a few days. I had several different trees to prune in my backyard. ARBORIST NOW earns the highest marks for expertise, customer relations, and reasonable pricing. If you need attention to trees on your property and are in or near San Francisco, you cannot do better than to engage them. My wife and I are in the long-overdue process of having a garden designed and implemented in our backyard. We had a large and lovely but ailing bay tree, perhaps 30 feet high, at the rear end of the lot. Recently, a big wind brought half the tree crashing down and exposed rot at its core. It clearly had to be removed for safety. Arborist Now soon had a 4-man crew on site. They were quick and thorough, cleared the area of debris and at our request, spread the resultant mulch on our yard. We cannot recommend them more highly. read more
