We were able to get a same-week assessment appointment for our 60-something foot California incense cedar which was overhanging our roofline. Matt who did the assessment was knowledgable, friendly, and the estimate was very reasonable. Work was completed by Matt and Robinson within the week, and it was done quickly (less than four hours) and neatly, even though access to our backyard was through a very narrow space. Previous cabling of co-dominant stems, which had been done many years ago, was inspected, and additional cabling was installed. Save yourself a headache y'all this is a racket. The owner is a bold faced liar and his reply here is no different. His team didn't access a neighbor's yard that they needed to and lied about it. (1) The neighbor says no one went in her yard. (2) We have footage that no one went in her yard. (3) No trimming on that side of the hedge happened, and (4) the owner insisting they did wasn't. even. present. - Yet another "company" where the "owner" sells you on service his untrained team cannot execute on. This experience was bad. The owner has a nasty combative attitude right off the bat ("If you trim it it will just grow back" is a wild phrase to have on repeat when we hired him to...trim), and his "team" didn't do at all what was promised. We mainly needed a hedge trimmed on our neighbor's side. We coordinated with the neighbor to have the team enter the yard and THEY NEVER DID while LYING about it. When the time came to leave our yard and enter the neighbors' and they just...drove away instead of completing the main task of the job. The lies ranged from "we couldn't access it because we didn't have shoe covers" to "we did access it but with a small ladder" to "we trimmed the entire thing." Now how can all of those things be true? They can't. They aren't. This company lies. The lies *only stopped* when said we had footage of the workers, after our neighbor said they never were in her yard, and the hedge *is untouched* on her side. The two hedges we asked to be squared off aren't remotely squared and were barely touched. Light green growth still present everywhere. Just lazy, lying people who couldn't complete a basic task. A blind person with clippers would have done a better job and made more cuts. Shady, bad work. read more

I was in the middle of a dispute with a neighbor who was concerned re the safety of one of the structural limbs of my CA Oak Tree extending over his roof. He wanted to have it cut off. A lead arborist came out to quote the job the next business day (called Friday and he came Monday) and was excellent, including giving us advice on two trees on our sidewalk strip that were out of scope for pruning, and sharing lots of knowledge and listening carefully to us on what we wanted done. He quoted us a fair price all around, and gave us a detailed quote with notes in it on exactly what we wanted done. There were a lot of nuances to our pruning request -- we wanted more light to get to our upper bedroom and the trees in back shaped a certain way for us and our neighbors to let in more light. The quote was fair and clear, with each of our trees properly named and all of the specifics that we wanted written down. I cannot recommend George and his team at Arborist Now enough! We have a beautiful large box elder maple in our backyard. It overhangs the house and we wanted to make sure it was healthy and not rubbing against our roofline.
