It started out really good, Glen came out and took notes and would write up two estimates for two properties. Everything seemed good, Glen was going to send me photographs of one property when done and was going to get a permit estimate and have a quote for me on the other. Since I couldn't be at the first property that day I was waiting on the photos, that never came not even a phone call or text to say we're done with this property. I might explain that it took a little longer than they thought, and they needed another day, and that's the day I was waiting for the photos and text or call. I never did get a reply on the second property, no response at all. The people that work at Stumpy's listen very well to what you want for your trees and then work hard and fast to deliver exactly that, in a courteous, professional manner. And they are just down-to-earth and relatable people. Scheduling is faster and easier than with other services I have used. The pricing is very reasonable. At the end of the service, there is a noticeable difference (improvement) with my trees that leads me to feel like I got good value. I have used other services that have charged about the same amount, but then left me feeling underwhelmed with how much difference or improvement there was. Glenn had to negotiate working with us and our neighbor, it's our neighbor's tree but we paid to cut it down because it was such a pain in the ass and was destroying our backyard and pool. I have Hired over the years six different arborist. Stumpy's has beat them all. I took a gamble and set up an appointment without any specific date. They came out on a Wednesday afternoon to start the project and they finished it the following day. Six men came on the crew and did a phenomenal job on the trees. Including one removal of a 16 foot pistachio tree... battery died after the previous arborist trimmed it. Each day they came they cleaned up extremely well kept me well-informed and did a phenomenal job. The foreman kept everyone working and took care of his men. I would highly recommend them and will be using them again in the future. Also I recommend them to my neighbor who just had one tree that was in distress that needed to be trimmed and cleaned. I contacted Stumpy's for an estimate and Ed came out the same afternoon and I received the estimate within a couple hours. They were at my house at 830am the next day! The team of 3 spent a full day clearing a hillside of dead branches on multiple trees, removal of one pine tree and trimmed and shaped the remaining trees. I have never seen the tree trunks on most of the trees in my yard in the 5 years I have lived here! Now there is a lot more light, the yard seems more open and even the squirrels and birds seem happier, lol. The guys were very respectable and helped to remove and reset up a small gate area to access the tree. There was some minor cleanup needed in the front yard from the trailing debris but that has been cleaned up as well. I would definitely recommend and hire them again in the future. read more
