I've used them twice, and both experiences have been excellent. Their level of service is outstanding--they're very responsive, professional, and able to accommodate fast turnaround times. I've been extremely happy with the service and would definitely recommend them. read more

We had Terry's out to trim a few trees. They spent a lot of time walking around our yard making sure they explained what was important vs not. We actually ended up having them remove a diseased tree along with two that had maybe a year to survive. They recommended a replacement tree, which we truly appreciate. The Arborist did a great job getting things started and the guys taking care of the trees couldn't have been more professional. Friendly, high quality work. A great experience from start to finish. I've referred Terry's to many of my friends and will continue to do so. read more

They do such a great job! In the past 4 years we have used them 3 times - they have removed trees and shrubs, trimmed trees and shrubs and planted trees for us. I highly recommend them. read more

We had 3 trees in our yard and a tree overhanging from our neighbors which needed pruning. Terry's gang showed up as promised, even a few minutes early. There was a big crew, about 9 of them. They got right to work. It didn't take them even an hour. They left the yard clean and leaf free. We got a 10% discount. It was worth what we paid. We would recommend Terry's Trees. read more

They have done several jobs for me despite the fact that mine are much smaller jobs than they usually take on. This last time they accidentally broke a pipe that was hidden by ivy. When I discovered it, I called them and they sent someone out to repair same day. The pipe is more stable than before the work. I highly recommend!! read more

Terry's tree services was super responsive, and on a holiday weekend came out an hour after I called to help get my kitten out of a 60 ft pine tree. And it was a free service for the public (We tipped them well). Definitely be calling them back for some tree pruning in the autumn! Thanks for all of your hard work gentlemen! read more

I had a huge Modesto ash that was leaning over the neighbor's house. Given the age of the tree I was concerned that it might fail and land on the neighbor's roof. The tree was in a very difficult location surrounded by decking, hot tub and fence. I had several estimates done and Terry's was by far the least expensive. Also, they performed in one day what the other tree services said would take three days. Everything went smoothly from the initial estimate to tree removal, stump grinding and clean up. Antoinette the arborist and Arturo the crew foreman deserve particular recognition and thanks. They are the best!!! read more

Great experience working with Terry's Tree Service this week. Terry came out for the estimate and was a great at explaining what our trees needed to get in shape. The team of guys he sent out today (led by Ricardo) were awesome. All 6 of our trees (varying types) look great and healthy again. They did a great job with the clean up after both in my yard and the neighbors as well. Would absolutely recommend them! read more

Excellent Service! After the wind storm Sunday, we called on Monday and Terry was here Monday afternoon to estimate. Hello Everyone.. We called Terry's Tree Service to get a quote on trimming back our Redwood Trees and removing a dead tree from the front of our home..,Terry came out and gave us a very competitive quote and explained in detail what his crew would do. We scheduled a date and the crew arrived on time and worked for over 5 hrs completing their task in a professional manner. They left the property in pristine condition and we were very impressed with the work they did on our trees... We would certainly use them again when the time comes to call upon their services... read more

I would not recommend this business based on my phone experience with them earlier today. It was a bit of a hold time, that's ok as I'm a pretty patient person. They asked for a lot of personal information up front..ok no problem. When it came time to give my address the last thing I heard was "Oh, you're not in our service area.." I was about to respond with a "thank you for your time" and "is there anyone you'd recommend for my area" but they hung up so fast I could barely get a word out. I can understand if you can't service me, but is that an excuse to treat me less than a human being? It came off as very unprofessional and something that only money hungry leeches would do... read more

Quick response, great work and reasonable prices. Removed a fallen tree and did an amazing clean up job.

Highly recommend Terrys Tree if you're looking to have someone come by to analyze your trees! we had several trees of concern and they come by with free consultations. We had one large tree removed out in front that was already dead and gone and they pruned our orange tree. To cut the larger tree was like $700ish and to prune the orange tree was like $375 or so. They come by with a large truck that also turns tree remains into mulch so when they feed your tree parts in it can be quite loud so I highly recommend you to warn your neighbors first because there will be loud noises. They do a great job cleaning up after they've pruned. Highly recommend you call just to have an estimate, it's always worth having expert advice because sometimes trees are dead or invasive and you wouldn't know, and also prune your tree growth away from your roof line to prevent critters! read more

Excellent experience getting my estimate, and there was no attempt at 'up selling', in fact she talked me out of some work I had planned to get done. Decided to let them do it when they could fit me in, and it only took about a week for an opening. 3man crew, done relatively quickly, good job of cleaning up. Tree could have been trimmed a bit 'cleaner', a few ragged cuts, and some suckers left, but he said he didn't want to overdo it. Yes, I would use them again and recommend them. read more

Updated review after 5 years: My trees in the backyard were overdue for some care. If you have big palm trees and neglect to trim them every year, you'll find ugly, yellow fronds falling off along with big pieces of bark from the tree rotting off and accumulating on the ground. I called Terry's Tree Service for an estimate and Terry himself came out and provided a quote, along with useful tree care tips. Better yet, he had a large crew available same day if I accept the job. Definitely! With a busy hybrid work schedule and 2yo toddler, scheduling stuff is harder for us. Terry sent a crew of six with three large trucks in the late afternoon. They finished the work in like 2.5 hours and did an incredibly thorough job. My yard afterwards was spotless and they even cleaned my neighbor's yards from falling debris. They did the following: 1. Cutting down a really tall and skinny palm tree down to the stump. I felt bad cutting down the tree, but we get really nervous watching this tree sway during the windy/rainy season. It also did not provide any shade and was more an eyesore. Like Stratosphere Tower from my yard. They had one skilled guy climb the tree with a chainsaw and cut it down, section-by-section. 2. V-Cut trim on my Date Palm Tree. We kept this tree since its shorter and provides lots of shade. Seems sturdier too. 3. Trimming the height and branches from a smaller tree that was scratching our upstairs windows and skylight. Definitely recommend Terry's Tree Service - fair prices, excellent cleanup, and safe and fast execution. Do take advantage of their expertise by asking lots of questions and getting tips during the estimate. For example, getting a V-Cut will extend the maintenance interval for palm tree and sometimes its best not to remove the stump right away (soil erosion risk). read more

We had Terry's Tree Service remove a fallen palm tree, from our upper rear yard, about one hour ago. This crew removed that tree quickly, cleanly and removed any lingering debris. They even raked the mulch to smooth the area out. It only took them about fifteen minutes and they were on their way. In addition, the crew was friendly and easy to interact with. Terry's Tree Service provided the lowest estimate of several tree services that I had contacted and Terry arrived on time at my home for the estimate. I highly recommend this company and will use them again if any of my other palms blow down. read more

Delivery was wonderful of our wood chips...AND THEN WHEN WE WENT TO SPREAD IT ALL, SADLY, THE QUALITY IS AWEFUL!!! Very disappointed. There are 4 & 5 foot leafless branches, there is a significant amount of crunched up leaves, (that fly acrossed our pavers & making a mess). There were four large bins of bigger sticks (12") AND sharp that had to be hand picked out of the 'mulch' pile. A huge amount of (what appears to be), old browned redwood needles...not wood chips. We have had wood chips delivered before, and they've been nice small uniform chunks of wood. This is really a mess. Granted it's at no charge but I should be paid to take this off your hands. Disappointing. read more

First time using Terry's Tree Service and their professionalism and service exceeded my expectations! Called them to do a quote for an invasive alder tree in front of our house and Antoinette came within 24 hours to check out the tree. She was very thorough and knowledgeable about the tree. We were able to book an appointment a week out to have it removed. Terry's crew was very prompt (arrived exactly at 8 am) and professional! They confirmed the tree that needed to be removed and even notified our neighbors to move their cars. They were super quick and were done within 45 mins. They also left the area very clean. I want to leave a big thank you to Robin at the office who arranged for Roberto to come out to my property within 90 minutes on a Friday afternoon. I don't know any tree service that helps you out when you are in a bind. Unfortunately, two weeks ago, I had a tree service (won't mention their name) come out to remove two trees and grind out the stumps. They didn't do the best job at all. Today, my landscapers were at my property and not able to place my new trees because the roots were too large. I called Terry's Tree Service and Roberto came to my rescue. He brought his heavy equipment and started immediately at work. Roberto did an excellent job! Thank you so much for such a great experience! Robin and Roberto should be truly recognized for being such diligent workers that truly care about the customers. Thank you Terry's Tree Service! Best, Kathleen from Livermore read more
