I recently hired Julian Tree Care for a fairly large tree-trimming job in our steeply sloped yard. We have several large, mature trees and a lot of thick vegetation, all of which had been overdue for attention. I spoke with a few different contractors and received three quotes. Two were in a similar range, including Julian's; the third was much more expensive. I chose Julian because the business seemed well managed, and the results did not disappoint. Noe was the person I worked with. He was on time, easy to communicate with, and prompt in replying. He was knowledgeable about his work and quickly identified what needed to be done in each area of the yard as we walked around my yards. On the day of the job, eight crew members arrived right on time: four climbers and four ground crew members. While a few did not speak much English, others did, so communication was never a problem. They worked hard for about eight hours and completed the job by the end of the day. Noe stopped by shortly after noon to make sure the work was meeting my expectations. When I mentioned a few additional items I wanted addressed - such as clearing more of the brush in the backyard - he quickly spoke with the crew and had them taken care of. The entire team was easy to communicate with and clearly knew what they were doing. For example, one of the trees had branches hanging over the power line leading into my house. They trimmed it just enough to clear the line and leave a beautiful canopy without overdoing it. I was impressed. They also did a thorough cleanup afterward. I am very happy that I hired the right team. The trees and yard look so much better and healthier now. Highly recommended! read more

This is about a month late but I received three different quotes for my tree removal, and Julian's Tree Care stood out by far as the best experience. Not only were they fairly priced and competitive, but they were also the nicest and most professional team I spoke with throughout the process. We had the pleasure of working with Noe, who was wonderful to communicate with. He was responsive, took the time to answer all of our questions, and made sure we felt comfortable and informed every step of the way. His communication and willingness to address our concerns really made a difference and gave us confidence in choosing their company. read more

I had them come out to give us an estimate for 4 houses. They gave us a great price, had flexible scheduling for everyone involved. The work was great, they cut 5 trees for us, plus trimmed a few others. The staff was friendly & helpful, they made sure to pick up all the branches & asked to go into the neighbors yard, rather than just going without asking. Defiantly recommend. Thanks for the great work! read more

From start to finish, this was a great experience. Noe came out for the initial quote and was professional, friendly, and straightforward. He took the time to walk through what needed to be done and gave me a fair price with no pressure. When the crew arrived to do the work, they hit the ground running and worked hard all day. The quality of the work is excellent. My trees look fantastic, properly trimmed, well shaped, and healthy. They also cleaned up thoroughly afterward. You'd never know they were there other than how much better the trees look. I would highly recommend Julian Tree Care to anyone who needs tree work done, and I'll definitely be using them again. Thank you to Noe and the whole team! read more

I had Julian Tree Care come and trim a tree that was starting to interfere with power lines to the house. They returned my call almost immediately and set a time to take a look. They gave a fair quote and were available to take care of it that afternoon. They were fast and didn't leave a mess, they even took some other branches from the property. Would definitely use again! read more

I hired Julian Tree Care to remove a 20 year old pine tree in my front yard. It had gotten larger than the space really supported and was generally regarded as a menace in the neighborhood due to all of the needles and pollen it produced. Emmanuel came out within a day or so of initial contact and quoted me a fair price for removal and grinding of the stump. The work was arranged about a week later. The crew arrived early and was done after only an hour and a half. They carefully swept and blew away the sawdust and other remnants after finishing up. My neighbors were shocked how quickly the work was done. Later in the afternoon, Emmanuel called to check on the quality of the work to make sure everything was done well. I'll absolutely be calling these guys for future work. Communication: 5/5 Work: 5/5 Value: 5/5 read more

Nice people, but because of back to back scheduling problems I ended going in a different direction.

Julian Tree Service, more than just a tree service company! Julian just completed the delicate operation of removing and later reinstalling 5 cupola crosses at the Holy Virgin Cathedral in San Francisco. The task was highly technical and was done with the utmost expertise . Full service was provided including acquiring city permits and traffic control, above and beyond the crane service. The crew was very professional and accommodating And the entire job went very smoothly and on schedule. I highly recommend Julian Tree Service for any and all crane work. It's also worth mentioning that their equipment is new, sophisticated and well maintained. Thank you Julian, crew and Leo for a job well done! read more

The crew did a great job. Everyone was friendly and professional. We pruned two palms (one very tall 35 plus ft) and cut down a tree. They did the work with no issues and cleaned up all the debris. Best part was that they came in way below all other bidders. Thank you! read more

Julian Tree Care - Large palm pruned - Tree Services Near Me

This review isn't about their work but about one of their driver. About an hour ago on the parkway exit in Richmond one of Julian tree care employee was driving a large dump truck with a wood chipper connected. He almost sandwiched my family when making a right turn. There were two right-turn lanes and the driver decided to go on the far right one. Why would your driver even do that knowing he has a vehicle to his left and needs to make a wide turn? Because of his unsafe driving I had to brake extremely fast and get extremely close to the center divider. Do your drivers not study the DMV handbook or get any practical road training? Anyone who drives large trucks would know not to do that and take the outside lane. Please have some remedial training for all your employees that drive this isn't the first time I've seen some bad driving from your employees. read more

The crew was prompt and did an excellent job in trimming our tree and removing our palm tree. Very professional and excellent rates. Julian also offered me advice on how to cut the tree! read more

Quick to reply and prompt to arrive. My 2nd time using this company, again 100% satisfaction. It's difficult to find a good company, reasonable with their rates. My property is surrounded with Oak trees and 4 monstrous pine trees. Once the work was completed, I inspected the property, no damage done. I will tell you this, safe time and energy looking around and give Julian Tree Care a call. Good luck! read more

Just had them cut down two very tall and very dead pine trees in my backyard and trim the limbs on a third in the front. Other companies complained about how "tricky" and "dangerous" the job could be, but Julian Tree Care didn't mess around and just gave me the quote, which was quite reasonable. They also impressed me as the only company that brought their climbers with them to properly assess the job. They got the whole job done the day after the quote, were safe, responsible, and a joy to work with. They definitely know what they're doing, and I would highly recommend them for this kind of work. read more

I recently had 7 trees pruned on and around my property in Concord. I chose Julian Tree Care and am very glad I did. Everything went smoothly from the time I requested a quote until the cleanup. I rate them the highest possible because I have zero complaints and am very pleased with the results. Communication excellent, cost reasonable, clean up excellent but most important of all the tree care was excellent. I appreciated that they patiently answered all of my questions and listened to what I wanted. Hopefully I won't need tree service again for some years but when I do it will be Julian I go to. read more

They did a good job. After seeing the results I wished that they didn't trim so much off. But that's my fault. Hopefully will fill out again. Noe was my contact and kept me up to date on the progress. Which made the project go smoothly. read more

They were the most affordable service provider we reached out to. They did a great job and were very fast. We requested the removal of a large tree in our backyard. We were quoted $1600 and with additional service/transaction fee when paying with card, overall we put on a $309 deposit to secure our date and the remaining balance of $1339. They were also able to include the pruning of a separate tree in our backyard for us in the price. Overall extremely satisfied with their service and would recommend. read more

Again, great service - they cleaned up nicely after. Job done to spec. 100% satisfied.

Very quick response and fair estimate to chop multiple trees in my backyard. They also came back and fixed very minor damage on the fence after a branch fell near it. It was barely noticeable but they did the right thing and sent someone to fix it the next day. I highly recommend! read more

We had a great experience with Julian Tree Care. They responded immediately and Emanuel was able to give us very knowledgeable advice. He gave us a reasonable price for a big job with a tree removal, palm and cedar pruning and stump grinding. They were flexible and worked with us on the price. Scheduling with them was fast and easy and the guys day of did excellent, thorough work. We had a little miscommunication about the amount of pruning we wanted on a big Cedar tree, and Emanuel was easily contacted and resolved it immediately with the crew. EMERGENCY TREE SERVICE I have a huge ash tree in my front yard near the Pleasanton Sports park walkthru on Blackbird. A large branch was cracked and splitting Mother's Day. My regular tree service was busy. By Tuesday I had a Pleasanton Community Officer on site for public safety until a tree service could arrive. I contacted Julian Tree Care. I was not a customer but I most certainly am now. A crew with a shredder truck and 5 tree climbers from Richmond arrived within an hour. The branch in danger of falling was stabilized with chains and weight was removed from the end. They stayed until 9 pm to inspect and trim the weight on other branches. They came back all day on Wednesday and trimmed the entire crown. Thursday they came back and put a bolt thru the split limb. The cost was a third of what I expected from the price I paid my previous tree service.. I expected to loose the limb which would leave a large gap in the tree. Julian Tree Care SAVED the branch to maintain the beauty of the tree. Not a hack and saw job. If you want tree care from a company that cares for and about the trees, call Julian Tree Care. read more

I did couple of quotes from different companies. They gave me a lot info , and make sure I call the city before trimming the tree. They gave good price, show up on time, finish on time, all clean . I also used their landscaping services, no bs, no tricks, just clean quote and deliver on time too, really good experience. read more

Julian Tree is the best. I had a large tree that I was worried about falling in my Noe Valley backyard. The tree was about 18" to 24" diameter. I got three estimates and I selected Julian for cost and availability. Three workers showed up promptly at 7:30 AM as scheduled and the tree was removed by 10:30 AM, I thought it would take most of the day so that was a welcome surprise! The workers were very efficient and took care not to damage any of my garden flowers. They cleaned up all debris and sawdust and left my place neater than when they got there. The tree was removed through my garage and sent into their chipper. The chipper was only turned on occasionally when there were large piles to chip up, that reduced the noise for which my neighbors were thankful. I highly recommend Julian for anyone's tree care needs. read more

Julian and his crew including Jesus (Foreman) did a great job at my residence. They spent 5 days delivering a great outcome.
