Alyx knows his trees! He suggested we put slow growth treatment on our large trees since we are going to have the driveway redone. The roots from these large trees have destroyed the driveway and we didn't want any future issues. I also do NOT want to cut the roots. Alyx even took the time to discuss how we should construct the driveway giving us lots of great input. Sexy Trees did a great job trimming up our Mulberry and will come back to do two more trees this year. He didn't want to trim the pine now or the sap would be all over. I really appreciated that. Unfortunately, I am clueless with landscaping and design, and don't know what to ask for. It turned out the work wasn't quite what I expected, and a lot of the assumed mitigation effort for our bigger tree out front was not needed or done. Every person in the work crew was very knowledgeable about trees and safety. It's unfortunate that Sexy Trees canceled a scheduled appointment just 15 minutes prior to our meeting because a previous request for service "didn't work out". Your shameless reason for canceling an appointment at the last minute had nothing to do with professional tree care. You canceled because your records showed that we did not award you a project that occurred years ago. Your company should be transparent then and advertise that you will not come out if you've lost out on a previous project. If the only criteria for getting their service is to just accept their prices, then feel free to use them. I had a great experience with Alex and his crew. They tackled just about every tree on our .5 acres and brought all of our trees back to life. Every type of tree from giant oaks, citrus, to palms; and removal of a couple trees and grinding out a few stumps. They worked so hard for two days straight and cleaned everything, including all of the debris that fell in our pool. (We didn't have a sweep so he went to Ace to buy one for us) Talk about service! I was very impressed with alex's extensive knowledge about trees and how to properly care for them. He clearly loves his job and I look forward to working with him again. His pricing was also very fair. You could of course find someone cheaper but they might not know how to properly trim a tree (for looks and for the health).
