Loved working with Junior's Tree Service! They were a referral to me from a family member. Alex came out to give us a quote and took his time in explaining how to best remove the dead weight from our huge eucalyptus trees. Scheduling was easy and the crew promptly show up on time and ready to go. The entire crew worked hard and left not a leaf or branch behind, as any extra tree debris was raked up and removed too. My neighbor hired Junior's to trim his trees. On the third day Juniors crew trespassed into my backyard to remove my neighbor's branches without letting us know. Then afterward, illegally axed my beloved Tree in the side yard without my permission. I didn't hire them. Shaddy work, zero respect. Yelp is usually dependable when it comes to contractors, but this is one of those rare times where I just did not have a good experience. I called at least 3 times to get them to come out to cut a dead branch in my hedges. Because it was a small job worth $100, they said they would schedule me towards the end of the day on a Friday, which is fine by me. However, as I waited till the end of the day, no one showed up and no notification was sent. I call them to see what happened. Instead, they said they would schedule me on Monday 8am, after the weekend. They even sent a SMS notification to confirm the appointment, giving me more confidence this time. So I'm waiting for these guys to show up Monday morning, and it's now 8:40 and still no one has showed up. I call them again to see what's up. They tell me that everyone has the day off so no one will be able to provide service. Where my was cancel notification, then? The guy on the phone said he was supposed to cancel over the weekend, but forgot to do so. A complete waste of my time. I could have went with another service. Blacklisted. Please, don't bother soliciting for future tree services, big or small. read more

This service went above expectations. One, their price seemed too low considering the crew was made up of 9 guys, 4 trucks and a large stump grinder, and the equipment was newer high quality tools. Two, everyone worked hard, were very polite, and at each phase would stop and ask if I wanted anything changed before moving on to the next step. Third, when finished they cleaned up the area and made sure I was happy with all the work done. To have the same experience I recommend you show some initiative before they show up and clear the area of loose items and use marker paint to clearly identify what needs to be done. As a thank you, I added a 5% tip. BTW, in reference to the review posted of trespassing and cutting up Walnut Creek City trees, while my property was cleared debris did fall into my neighbors yard and the workers asked me if it was ok to enter and clean up the spillage, which I authorized. I'm not saying the negative review was incorrect, but my encounter found them to be quite aware of boundaries. read more

Last week Junior's Tree Services removed two larges trees plus trimmed a couple of others for a pair of neighbors. I was impressed with both the work and cleanup. The guys in the trees clearly were experienced and were making good decisions while performing the work safely, for themselves, the tree, and while dropping or lowering branches. The chipper crew was also experienced and did a good and safe job. My parents needed some tree work that I also knew would be a technical challenge due to access, terrain, plus obstructions and so recommended that they get quotes from Junior's Tree Services along with Traverso Tree Service and Davey when asking for quotes. Junior's Tree Services responded immediately, provided a good price, and were able to come out this week to do the work. I had a 50-foot Monterey Pine tree get infested with beetles and sadly needed to be removed. After soliciting three quotes from local tree services, I hired Juniors who provided the lowest quote (half the cost of the highest one) on the recommendation of my neighbor. I am so thrilled I did! In one day, they cut down the tree with tremendous care of my property. Upon arrival, Elliot walked the site with me to understand the job and any of my concerns. They protected plants around the tree, so they would not be crushed. With 6+ guys, the crew meticulously cut down the tree piece by piece. They cut the branches into 16" firewood and stacked it by the garage. They removed all other debris with care: hauled away large pieces, raked up all other pieces, then used a leaf blower to finish the job. The crew even blew off the sawdust from the roof on my nearby shed and watered the plants next to the stump, as they were visually stressed. They did a fantastic job, stuck to the pricing that they had originally quoted - even though they were complications. "Monstrous Mulberry" This company was in town trimming a neighbor's trees, so I hired them for a bigger challenge. I have a large mulberry tree in our backyard, which was seriously overgrown. They put a three-man crew on the tree. One man with a chainsaw upstairs, and two men trimming and taking away limbs downstairs. There was a lot of trimming required, and they did it professionally. Another member of the crew cleaned up all the debris on the sidewalk and elsewhere in my backyard. So overall, an excellent experience. The work was done efficiently, at a reasonable price. I called the office and scheduled estimate. We decide to go with another company based on price alone. I let Mariana in the office know this (after she sent me the wrong estimate). We hired Junior's in Dec 2025 to trim back 3 trees and here's a break down of the good and bad: PROS - Office was super responsive and the work scheduled - they were able to get us a quote within a week and start work the following week. So if speed is your top priority, these folks delivered. - The quote was also quick, reasonable (best price) and the rep was timely and professional. The team arrived on time to complete the job and got to work immediately. CONS - They damaged a lot of prized plants on our property and scratched up our fences significantly. I didn't anticipate that they would leave our yard in a worse state than it was, and wish it would have been communicated as a possibility or even acknowledging/apologizing for the damage would have gone a long way. - The rep only showed up at the start of the day and didn't stay for the whole job, nor did they communicate that - I had follow up questions but there wasn't someone I could ask available. They also didn't check in about the work at all to see if we were satisfied, which I expected because it was tree shaping and we weren't happy with the final product. - Not super proactive - I had to ask them about if they would need access to my neighbor's property and I was embarrassed when it came time for payment to learn they don't accept cards (would have loved to receive info up front about accepted payment methods so I could have cash or check ready). We learned a super valuable lesson: you get what you pay for. The cheaper quote wasn't worth it for us in the long run and in the future we'll be working with Mather's Tree Service given our great past experience. read more

Wow These guys are real pros! Nothing is more painful to see than a butchered tree. I was panicking when I saw tree trimmers in my neighbors oak tree.
