Melvin and his team did a great job on trimming and topping our trees. Melvin was very communicative and helpful throughout the whole process from coming out for the estimate, emailing the proposal, providing proof of insurance and license, day of communication and coming out to check on his team. His team deserves kudos too for coming out on time, doing a great job and cleaning the yard up better than they found it. I will definitely hire them again and recommend them to my friends and family. read more

I have used CBC twice. Both times initial contact went well, Melvin was professional and prompt in his communication. The team came out and did a good job for a fair price. The fail came on the second job. I was very clear from the outset that I was trying to get reimbursed via grant from the county and would need one line in final invoice/receipt to describe the distance from my home to provide to the county. Melvin assured me that it was no problem. After the work was complete (as well as payment) I sent 4 text messages a voicemail and two emails between Nov 11 and Dec 19. I received one response to the first text that he would send it out the next day. It never came and he never responded again. The window closed for document collection and I missed the opportunity for a $1500 grant reimbursement, which in this difficult time of increasing cost of living expenses, would have been incredibly useful. So I cannot recommend CBC Tree Services if you need anything requiring follow up or communication. Really, really disappointing Melvin and CBC. read more

Melvin's team came out to trim 5 of our trees. Unfortunately one branch fell on a wire holding a post and the post broke. It took about 10 days to get the damages repaired with a few cancellations in between. However Melvin and his crew were able to finally come and make the repairs. read more

Great experience overall. I obtained three bids to remove a tree and do some other trimming. CBC was quick to respond, came out the day I inquired and gave me the best price. I hired them and they came out the very next day to do the job and did a good job and cleaned up well afterwards. I will surely hire them in the future and recommend them to my friends. read more

Jose and the CBC crew did an excellent job in pruning our fruit trees, removing a tree and thinning out our redwood trees. They came on time and were very receptive to our needs. All done at a reasonable rate. We are a repeat customer as they also did a big job for us a few years ago. Recommend. read more

Great crew. Did an excellent job of trimming a row of cypress trees at a reasonable price.

Melvin and the CBC crew were excellent, professional, responsive, and efficient. I got a quote the same day I reached out, and then got the job done 2 days later. The price was very reasonable. The crew trimmed down a 60 foot tree how I wanted it and completely cleaned up everything. I highly recommend them to anyone needing tree services. read more

I highly recommend this tree service. - The crew worked very hard to get the job done. - Melvin the Project Manager was very accommodative in some last minute additional work. - Time to time in the middle of the work they made sure the job was going as expected. - The crew cleaned up the yard and surrounding very professionally. Very satisfied with the service. read more

Outstanding tree removal service. They came in and cut branches of several trees and removed a huge pine tree in front of my house. They were very professional and very careful removing the tree and the branches. They were top notch and very fair on their prices. I would definitely recommend them. The clean up was astounding. I could barely tell there was even a tree there after they were done. They even cut up some of the tree for a fire pit. Just awesome! 5 stars for them! read more

Great experience with CBC Tree Services Inc who was professional from start to finish. On Monday 11/18/2024 I contacted few companies and Melvin of CBC responded immediately and came out the same day to give a reasonable estimate to cut and remove few big tree limbs and one of them was hanging high up dangerously on our huge tree. Melvin and his crew arrived on time the next day morning not only did the job, Melvin also provided complimentary works to trim the over grown, dead branches and cut down other dead tree trunk that were not included in the estimates. They have their own truck to shred the limbs/branches. Melvin and his crew were efficient and did a great job with clean-up when finished. I was impressive with their affordable work and good services. I definitely will have CBC Melvin back for the future tree services and recommend them to my neighbors and friends. read more

I had a comprehensive review of my needs with an on-site visit by Elizabeth. She gave me a very competitive price right after the visit, and reconfirmed the details of the proposed work with a detailed written estimate. I would choose them again for future tree trimming services. read more

Quick response and a good deal to cut down 3 tree grind down 2 stomps. Will use again if I need to.

Melvin is a stand-up guy who makes sure to take care of his clients. His prices are competitive and his crew is professional and attentive. On my recent job, they pointed out a problem we didn't see before and Melvin came back personally to fix it. This is a company who has pride in their work. After working with many landscaping companies, I can very much recommend CBC Tree Services. read more

After providing a very competitive quote, Melvin and crew arrived on time and immediately began work on the scheduled day. The crew was very efficient with some working on front and back trees and bushes simultaneously. The work also continued through a couple bursts of unexpected rain. My neighbors(who also had work done) and I were extremely pleased with the quality of work including the cleanup done after the work was completed. We highly recommend CBC Tree Services to all who are looking for someone to trim/prune their trees, bush removal, etc... GREAT JOB! read more

CBC Tree Services is amazing! They were the most competitive quote I received for the removal of an ~80ft Monterey Pine and their service did not disappoint. The team had to remove my gate in order to get their equipment in the backyard and they re-assembled everything perfectly. They even took out a small, dead tree for no extra charge (it made it easier for them so this worked out for both of us) which I am extremely thankful for. The team at CBC was punctual, thorough, communicative, kind and professional. Could not have hoped for a better experience and outcome. Highly recommend for your most challenging tree removal needs. read more

Great experience. Melvin called me about 15 minutes after posting on yelp and came by that afternoon with a bid. He and his crew removed 4 trees and cut back several bushes at a very reasonable rate. They removed all debris. Highly recommend this computer. read more

Great experience from start to finish. Thank you for the removal of the large pine tree that unfortunatley had to go.

Melvin recently "skinned"/trimmed my palm tree. Not many companies are willing to do this work. I agreed to get rid of the refuse and he gave me a fair price. I've done work with this company before (had a full sized palm tree removed) and find them fairly priced and professional. Highly recommend. read more

This is the second time I've used CBC Tree Services; both were big projects, but this one was the most expansive of the two. And just as with the first project, this second project was a success. Removing two huge, old Monterey pines and pruning several oaks involved a lot of planning, organizing, and coordination on CBC's end, and they did it excellently with professionalism and expertise. They were respectful of property--both ours and our surrounding neighbors, and took good care of all of our homes during the project. Elizabeth and Melvin are excellent communicators: cheerfully prompt, efficient, proactive, and professional. It was a pleasure to work with CBC, and our project came out beautifully. read more

We had several companies come look at the work that needed to be done in our backyard. Although CBC was not the cheapest quote, we appreciated their more thorough evaluation of the problem, documenting with pictures etc. So we went with them. The large 35ft tree came down without issue, and the other trees were trimmed well. They had to come back another day to finish grinding the stumps because the person to grind them called out the morning of our initial work. When they arrived to do the grinding, the machine would not fit into the space it was required and therefore they could not finish the job. However, the owner Melvin contacted me and said they rented a smaller grinder specifically for our trees and they came back the next day to finish the rest of the work. Appreciate the effort and work that was done to make the problems we ran into right, and CBC really went out of their way to make sure we were happy. read more

Wow...this is the first time I have used Melvin and his crew and it just couldn't have been better. They showed up on time, quickly and quietly did the job of taking down a huge three-trunk tree, and left the area clean and tidy. They will be doing three more jobs for me, so will get back with after pictures and a longer review. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Forgot to add that I have a rental where a huge tree branch broke off the tree and was leaning on the house. I was panicked and called Melvin, who immediately arranged for his crew to come after a job they were doing and remove the one branch that was dangerously hanging over the roof, and then they will come back and complete trimming the tree when they do the other work we have scheduled! 8/4/20 - Palm tree trimming and Mandarin orange and plum tree trimming scheduled for tomorrow. He will also being checking the property to see if there are any other trees that need trimming. Will let you know how it goes and then post after pics. So impressed by this company. read more

I contacted Melvin, the owner of CBC Tree Services about the HUGE liquid amber tree on the parking strip in front of our home. He gave me a reasonable quote and also offered to remove a big dead palm stump in addition to the trimming job. Yesterday, his men came out to do the work. They were so patient while we went door to door to find the owner of the car parked beneath the tree, and finally, after getting the car moved, they got to work. Amazing. Cleaning up piles and piles of branches and chipping them as they worked, in three hours they were done with it all, and everything was neat and tidy. Omar, Melvin's son, worked with the team, keeping everyone on track. Each man correctly wore a mask, and totally professional. If you are in need of tree services, I would HIGHLY recommend CBC Tree Services. read more

We had a huge Elm tree split in our backyard. I contacted CBC and Omar came out the same day to give a free estimate, on a Sunday no less! The price was very competitive and they were able to come the next day to remove the tree because it was an emergency. Their crew was extremely efficient and professional. Our tree had large branches growing over our garage, a shed, and an outdoor play structure. They were able to cut everything out safely without any damage. It was really incredible to watch how they manipulated where branches fell to avoid damage. They worked all day, from 8am to 6pm, got the entire tree out, grinded the stump, then cleaned up everything cleaner than it was before. All in all, it was a great experience. If you're looking to get work done on a tree, go with CBC. read more

CBC Tree Services Inc. was professional from start to finish. Requesting a quote they were prompt to respond, Melving was able to come to assess and quote same day. CBC offered more than a reasonable and prompt quote which we accepted. The 30' Tree was located in a tight space between property lines and close to our house/roof. Melvin (CBC) was confident that they could remove the tree without any impact to the home or the neighbor's property. True to form when Melvin and his crew arrived (on time) they took precautions to assure the cut tree limbs were innocuously removed (limbs lowered by ropes and workers beneath). After tree removal, Melvin trimmed neighbor's branches that had grown near our roof. Afterwards the crew promptly shredded the limbs and swept clean the grounds. They did a great job!
