Do not use this company, the crew serviced palm trees in my neighbor's yard. They discarded all of the palms onto newly landscaped yard, killed the newly planted plants and ignored multiple messages regarding this matter. At first I was told to text them the quote but after that I was ignored, they refused to answer or text back of course. No apology. I have videos of their crew from my camera in my yard which was left a complete mess when they were done with my neighbor's palm tree. They do not take any pride in their company to completely ignore someone when they don't want to right their wrong. Awful read more

You better write down what do you want this smart boss to do and let him sign before start working. Otherwise， you will see only 70% job they done and they will refuse to finish the job according to the deal you made. Unless you pay 30% more money. Treeguys are good，but not the boss. read more

Superior Tree Service was exactly what we needed! My wife and I had just moved into our new house and needed to have four trees removed. Two were small, one was medium sized, and one was a large mulberry. The team made it super easy - they removed all four, did it quickly, and offered an amazing price! We also had piles of yard waste from work we had done ourselves the week before and they were kind enough to remove all of that for us too. I would definitely recommend Superior Tree Service and will be using them again if I need other work done in my yard. read more

Best service- amazing. Lowest price, checks in regularly, above and beyond expectations, project completion before deadline. Really can't express my gratitude enough. Definitely use again. THANK YOU, Vicente! read more

We have used this company numerous times in the past to trim our trees because of their great work and great prices. We had a minor miscommunication snafu in the beginning that was quickly handled and solved by a supervisor named Vicente. He was truly incredible! He ensured the job was done as discussed from start to finish and made sure we were happy! Their entire crew worked hard the whole time they were here. I highly recommend Superior Tree Service. Great work and value. Supervisor Vicente was extremely attentive at every step in the process. I was very happy with all the work that was done and our trees look great! I will definitely be using them again in the future. read more

They took out a large tree in our backyard, but they smashed the fence between our property and the neighbors' flat while doing so and refused to take any responsibility for it at all, then ghosted us. Would not recommend. read more

I have used Superior tree several times over the years here in Lafayette California and they do very thorough work including cleanup at a very competitive price. Most recently they tackled cutting down a large tree that was very close to high power lines and they did it efficiently and safely. I would not hesitate to recommend them. read more

Great company, great people to deal with. I dealt mostly with Vicente. He gave us what we thought was a very fair estimate in a very short time to trim our 4 huge trees at our property in Fremont. His crew worked tirelessly for 2 days to get it done. Did nice job of fanning out and top trimming the out of control trees, clearing out the huge pile of branches. Cleaned area very well. Neighbors and tenants very happy with results. Our property looks much better now. Much safer too. Great value. read more

IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS, I WOULD! Horrible company, even worse boss. The company's representative came to our house to issue a quote and then based on our discussions, we agreed on the job and its price. The crew came over and started working and an hour later, I don't see anyone. I call the said representative only to be told that their boss decided this wouldn't make them any profit and he pulled the crew out. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. He didn't even have the courtesy to talk to me before making the decision, to at least, discuss any concern he may have had with the price his very own company representative issued and signed a contract for! Do not work with them! Their word means nothing. read more

We've had them out 3 times over the last 5 years to take down large pines at the end of their life and trim our oaks. We have been happy with their work each time. This past time Spring, however, they trimmed one of our oaks too low and it went through shock during the Summer. It seems to be recovering, but it was unbalanced and a strong wind took down a large branch. I called them to remove the branch, which they came out and said they would do at no cost. This was on June 18th. Since then they have ignored my calls, texts and voicemails and the branch has dried out and become a fire hazard on our property. We will need to have it addressed by another company. It seems so silly to lose a customer over what may be an hour or two of work for them (especially given how many pines we still have on our property that are nearing the end of their lives). But, given this recent experience, I would not recommend using them as they don't seem to stand behind their work once they are paid for a job. read more

DO NOT USE THIS TREE SERVICE Hired Superior to do some trimming of a number trees in our backyard. from photo attached you can see our landscaping took a beating. The worst part is they removed one of our landscaping lights. I have to assume they broke it and then removed it hoping I wouldn't notice. I've contacted the company seven times over a two month period about replacing my missing light. No one responds And I'm still missing a light. Beware of this company. read more

Superior Tree Service - Tree Services Near Me - San Jose, California

Excellent, fast and professional service for the best rate you'll find. I've have them remove 2 trees at my house, and 3, extremely large trees at my mother in laws house. Both times they came out and provided a bid, and did the work the following day. They took all the limbs with them and cleaned up after themselves. Very great experience with a company charging fair prices when other companies quoted 2-3x what Superior did the work for. Thanks Carlos! read more

Superior Tree Service was helping out some of our neighbours with their annual tree maintenance (our street is basically amongst the woods in Orinda). They visited us to see if we needed any work done, and provided a competitive quote to trim two of our trees. They're licensed and their arborists have a good amount of safety gear, which is reassuring given that they're effectively tree climbers with chainsaws! We recently had solar panels installed and I was concerned about the shade from one of our trees causing the output to drop significantly for a few hours in the afternoon! I explained the problem to the crew and they did a great job significantly trimming the tree down to something more manageable. This has completely resolved any shading issues! They did a great job, were very communicative and clean/respectful, hauling away all of the waste from the tree. On one occasion, their giant wood chipper was blocking our street and I needed to head out, they were very helpful and willing to move it so that I could get around it which I appreciated! read more

Superior Tree Service - All the cut leaves and branches! - Tree Services Near Me - San Jose, California

Stay away from this outfit. I write this after my check from Superior's insurance company has cleared. It took me nearly 2 years to resolve this issue with Superior. My neighbor hired Superior to take down a threatening pine. A team led by Carlos Berumen showed up and took the neighbor's tree down as well as levelling 6 mature oaks and some bay trees, and pushing over a madrone and a plum tree on MY property. The team cut my 6 oaks to the ground and removed them without saying a word to me about that reckless error. They did additional damage to another of my mature oaks as well as to 2 of my large pines by using those trees as fulcrums for the ropes they used to remove debris (much of which was, of course, the trees they felled on MY property!) Oh, and they cut a seventh oak on my property because "a neighbor told them to." Huh? When confronted with the damage, Carlos Beruman pretended that he did not speak English...yet a neighbor fluent in Spanish called him out on that. The arborists I had to come assess the damage couldn't believe the carelessness and irresponsible damage that was done. Superior was the lowest bidder on my neighbor's job by a LONG shot (i.e., $10,000 vs. $30,000 quoted by presumably more reputable tree companies). No surprise. Possibly Superior's prices will go up when their insurance premiums increase substantially which may protect the unwitting consumer looking for a "deal." Customers and neighbors of those who will contract with Superior should take note of Superior's insurance information as of Oct 2023 as that information--or really much of any contact with Superior--will be nonexistent once any damage has been done. Restitution will be minimal (if any) and require a good deal of time and legwork on the part of the claimant...and the claimant's lawyer. Good luck. Just avoid a lot of grief by avoiding Superior Tree Service. They are incompetent and irresponsible. Best tree service in the Southbay!! Highly recommend Superior Tree Service Inc Cannot say enough great things about Vicente & team. Hard workers, fast & reasonably priced! Superior Tree Service did a great job of cutting back 2 trees. The trees had gotten too big for me to maintain so really glad they could help with this. I was really impressed with the quality of the work. When I prune my tree, I just cut and hack. They really do a good job with artistry. The trees look great now. It's been a few months(sorry I am late on the review) and it's amazing how good the trees look. It did seem expensive when I signed up, but looking at the amount of material taken out and how good the trees look now with the artistic pruning, it was a good bargain. Thanks! read more

They forced rescheduled on my job. Claiming they didn't have a crew available. The second time was a no show and no call.

Professional tree service with very competitive pricing! Came highly recommended by my neighbors. They came to walnut Creek for me . My job was large and at one point, they sent 8 guys, machines, bobcat, lift...so the job was done in two days! One thing is, they offered huge discount if you can have your job done in their time slot, sometimes that means " tomorrow morning at 8", so I recommend you will give them a call as your last quote and ready for the job.theycan get it done quicker than you think! read more

Removed 2 trees - both fairly large for a reasonable price. Quick free estimate. Did the job a few days later, only took a day.

I called the 925-664-3009 and so unprofessional. Will give you a quote base on the days they want to do the work. Stay away from these people and company. If you see the flier throw it away. They don't deserve to be in business. Unprofessional. read more

They do a lot of tree work in Oakland, and we thought the reviews from neighbors and Yelp would suggest a company that cared. Carlos was somewhat responsive but after paying the for tree service - we did not hear back. I wish I could have taken time off of work to micromanage this job. Besides these photos, we have a heavy iron bench that they didn't move back, broken fence pieces, and debris on our neighbor's side that was left. They did a job a few houses below ours and maybe quality control and communication to workers were forgotten. I'm disappointed and would like Carlos to finish the clean up. Tree trimming was good, but allowing large branches to fall without caring what gets crushed isn't okay, plus not responding after payment is not good business. I'll change this review when and if we get things sorted out. read more

They are Superior at the following: - Killing your trees when you asked for them to be trimmed - Avoiding responsibility by not taking phone calls, responding to voicemail, or replying to email - hence this review They farm out their jobs to subcontractors making it difficult, if not impossible in my case, to hold someone accountable for the work. Not only am I out 3k for the work, I now have to pay someone else to come and cut down the 15 dead trees, and more for a new fence. read more

Guys did a good job trimming seven trees in my yard and trimming bushes/trees that were coming into my property from neighbors yard. palm trees look nice now. In future if I am working with them I would like them do a better job of cleaning up and communication with crew that is working on the site. There were no communication problem with Brian and he took care of the problem later by sending the crew again. I did not shop around for the price but I think it was reasonable. read more

Every few weeks these guys do work in the neighborhood - their helpers go around jamming their advertisements into mailboxes -- not in or on the mailboxes but folded up and inserted in a way that bends and breaks parts. We have a beautiful old oak tree in our backyard that was a jewel. This company came in and ruined our tree irreparably. They hacked away at all the limbs, left hanging cuts, did NOT do their job. They refused to clean up after the devastation. Do not hire this company. You will be sorry. It was a very expensive mistake not only in $$ but in a ruined backyard old oak tree. It will never be the same. The way they cut the branches will just result in leafy fill in growth. Very unhealthy for the tree. They also ruined a few potted plants that were in our backyard. When i contacted them to come look at the damage, they tried to upsell me to cut some other trees, and then they would try to repair some of the damage. This company is not a good choice to prune or cut off dead branches. The only thing I would allow them to do is cut down a tree and i would not recommend that because they left a mess. read more

Juan Carlos and his team did a fabulous job for us yesterday. Last week he came by and offered a careful assessment of the tree, the complicating factors (power lines) and provided a very clear and well-thought-through recommendation/quote. He sat me down and showed me exactly where he thought branches should be brought back and was very happy to take my input. Juan's communication was tremendous throughout the process, his team was very professional, licensed, and always worked with ropes/helmets. The team packaged their service with a bow-tie by carefully cleaning up the garden, hauling away every leaf / branch they took down and made certain to follow up at the end of the day to make sure I was fully satisfied with their work. read more

I have to change my review after a lot of thought. Juan Carlos sent his team to remove an oak tree that had fallen in the wind a few months ago. His team did a very sloppy job - damaged several areas during the work, didn't clean up the tree they removed, and despite agreeing to leaving oak for firewood, they took all the wood. Like past 2 years, all I get is a promise to bring back firewood, but nothing really happens... only promises. Hence, I will not be reusing them in the future (after 3 years of business). read more
