I've called three companies highly rated on yelp to trim our trees and Emerald View Tree Service is my absolute favorite. It's easy to schedule a quote, they come on time and clean up well, quality is better than other companies. I really like the way they prune the trees rather than just trim them. I walked out yesterday morning to see our tree in the front snapped and part of it fell in our yard. I texted Edgar super early in the morning. They came out and texted me a quote, assessed that it would be okay until the following morning. By 8am it was taken care of. Thanks guys! read more

Awesome job. Edgar came out at a time convenient to us, did a site inspection, and delivered a quote along with proof of insurance. His team, headed by his father, came out on time, did a safe, fast job, and cleaned up everything as if they had never been there, save for the two trees removed. I would recommend them to anyone as this was one of the easiest transactions I've been through. read more

Edgar and the Emerald View Tree Service Team was great. They responded quickly and was able to come by and give us an estimate the same day. The rate was reasonable priced and they were able to service us that day. We had cut down an oaktree and didn't realize how much came down from it and the clean up would've taken forever. Edgar and his team were efficient and thorough. I was amazed how quickly they worked and finished within an hour. Edgar was super helpful and professional and I would highly recommend them. read more

Their response time was great. The job was done exactly how we wanted, the job site was clean and done within the time frame provided. To be fully transparent, we contacted two other services before going with Emerald View. 1) The first service (which we've used in the past) increased their price 41% in one year for the same tree. 2) The second service had a real poor response time. We actually found Emerald View doing our neighbor's trees. They came over to our house afterwards, provided an estimate that was almost half of the first service and had a reasonable timeline. Very happy! read more

I had Emerald View Tree Service come out for a tree removal and few stump removals. When they arrived for the estimate, they clearly explained the process, potential risks, and how the work might affect nearby plants. I really appreciated the honesty and transparency upfront. Their estimate was reasonable, they arrived exactly on time, and the team did a great job. The work was done safely and efficiently, and they left the entire area clean afterward. Overall, I'm extremely happy with their service and would highly recommend Emerald View Tree Service to anyone looking for professional and reliable tree work. read more

Amazing job and at a reasonable price. I got an estimate from 3. This company was 600-700 cheaper than the other two. They did such an efficient job of cutting and cleaning afterwords. Highly recommend! read more

We hired Emerald View to trim our pine tree and clean up our yard. Emerald View is a local family business. From the get go, Edgar (the son) was very responsive to my requests and communicated well. Abel (the dad) was the foreman. They showed up on time, got the job done and cleaned up well at the end. Edgar, Abel and their team were professional and easy to work with. We would recommend Emerald View Tree Service. read more

We hired Emerald View Tree Service to prune our Zelkova street tree in San Jose, CA. Part of the tree had been slowly dying over the last 10+ years since the builder who flipped our house cut off about a fifth of its roots to re-pave and flatten the sidewalk. It was unreal how many dead branches they found to remove. The crew showed up within the estimated time window, and finished the job in 2 hours. - Their equipment was well-maintained and clean. - The crew worked together well and followed safety precautions when cutting large branches and chipping limbs. They even directed one-lane traffic past our house while they were here. - They did a great job cleaning up at the end of the job. In fact, they left my yard with fewer leaves than when they started! - Edgar provided timely communication via Yelp messages to keep me informed about next steps before, during and after the job. - Did I mention that they came in at the lowest price of the three bids I requested? I will definitely call them again if I need any tree trimming or tree removal done. It was a pleasure working with Edgar and his father, Abel. read more

Emerald View Tree service is an excellent family run company. The Father/son team does not shy away from difficult projects, and tackled my extensive overgrowth with professionalism and a large team. They arrived on time, performed the work exactly as expected/requested, and left a very clean work area. Extremely reasonably priced, I will be working with them for the foreseeable future. read more

This is a A FANTASTIC Tree Service! Edgar and Abel Benitez are Father and son and have a team who have been together a long time, so they work with great accuracy. What a great experience! The men were polite and very organized. The trimming - was very accurate, leaving the trees well shaped. It took a trained and precise hand to clean up my special weeping cherry trees, and Abel, the father, had a sharp eye and knew exactly what to do with them. The Clean up was complete, and more than I hoped for ! I'd give them10 stars.... They did such a good job from start to finish. They had Realistic price also, and the son is a great communicator. The Best! Thank you Abel and Edgar. read more

We called Edgar at Emerald View at the recommendation of a neighbor via Next Door. I was a bit worried because I freely admit that our house is a hospice center for plants! We are NOT gardeners or tree people. However, we have a Silver Oak and a Poplar in our yard that are beautiful trees and they needed trimming. The estimate was free and Edgar was helpful in giving me advice on how to best preserve the canopy and structure of the trees while making sure they would withstand winter winds and rain. He left me with a proposal and after reviewing it with my husband, we called to schedule the work and coordinated with two of our neighbors. Edgar and his father, Abel, arrived on time with their crew, their truck, and the wood chipper. They worked on both trees and I am very happy with the finished work. The trees look great, the canopy and shape is lovely, and I am amazed at how fast they worked! I also want to say that they took great care when entering our neighbor's yards. The silver oak branches were hanging over my neighbor's yard and many of the debris fell into their yard. Likewise, they needed to stand on the garage roof of my other neighbor's house to trim the poplar. They were dilligent with their clean up, picking up every last twig and leaf. They're licensed and insured, and very fair in their pricing. Highly recommend them! read more

The bid was very reasonable and submitted in writing electronically. I liked the style of the business. Although the weather looked bad they went ahead as planned. The weather held up good. Edgar arrived 15 minutes early and the team arrived on time. The entire team looked professional and worked exactly as described by Edgar. I was watching the work from the beginning through the end with confidence. read more

Emerald View did a fantastic job in trimming our mature crepe myrtle trees. The team was courteous, timely and professional. The trimming was significant but not overdone. Our trees are now balanced and sculpted. Not a hack job. After the trimming was completed, the team did an excellent job with clean up. The price was very fair. Highly recommended. Our neighbors observed the work and plan to call Emerald View for their next tree service. read more

We hired Emerald View Tree Service to cut down two of our trees that have died and disposes of a few large branches that have fallen in our backyard. Edgar was extremely professional & friendly. He came on the first day to record a video of the trees we wanted to be removed. Afterward, Edgar & his team came and took no more than 3 to 4 hours to remove all the trees and clean the entire area. Would, highly recommend Emerald View Tree service, and would hire them again next time we need to remove any trees or even need any tree trimming, tree pruning, tree topping, stump grinding, hedge shaping, and weed clearing services read more

Emerald View Tree Service is one of the most professional home services providers I've ever worked with. They were meticulous, courteous, communicated extremely well, and always on time. I have several large trees, lining my house and I needed to trim the branches and leaves. After 3 bids, I chose this family-owned company and it was a good choice. Overall, their service was outstanding! I spoke to the father and son. They were friendly and knowledgeable. They described clearly their approach with their work. They also gave me the best bid. The team was punctual and professional. They arrived on time and worked diligently. They got the job done within 6 hours and cleaned up the sidewalk, my backyard and hauled away the debris and branches. Their work was excellent! Years ago, I had another company trimmed my trees. Can't say enough good things about Emerald View and Edgar, the owner. An unsolicited mailing got me to take a walk around the two properties I oversee, and everywhere I looked there were problems. Large branches (both alive and dead) overhanging and in some cases touching roofs. Trees overflowing the property lines, pushing into fences, into the neighbor's yards, and into telephone lines. And general unattractive and sloppy growth everywhere. I called Edgar and he came by the next morning. We walked the properties and he pointed out additional things I hadn't noticed. He then texted me an estimate which I reviewed with friends who all said it was very reasonable. So we set up a time to get everything done. On the schedule date the team arrived precisely at 8am and got to work. Around lunch time Edgar came by and asked that we review the progress, and as we walked around I spotted some areas where I wanted them to be a bit more aggressive, and Edgar agreed that would not be a problem. He also noticed something missed in the original estimate and said he would add it at no cost. At 3pm Edgar knocked again saying the work was done. We did a final walk through and I was amazed at how nice, clean, bright, and open everything looked. Everything exactly as we had agreed. This is a great local business and a very decent fellow and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to my friends, or to you! read more

Emerald View Tree Service - Front tree trimming - Tree Services Near Me - San Jose, California

Edgar and his team just finished trimming and thinning out our very unruly, Curly Willow tree. My experience with them was awesome! Edgar came out for a quote within two days of calling him. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and seemed to understand what kind of shaping I wanted to achieve with the tree, his quote was reasonable too! They were able to do the job the same week, so that was a plus. They brought the height (about 6 feet) down like I wanted, trimmed branches that were overhanging the sidewalk, and thinned the whole thing out. They also did a great job with the cleanup and hauling away the debris afterward. I now have a nice-looking and much more manageable front yard tree! I wish I had taken a before picture of the tree, but I forgot. The first picture is the tree in winter without leaves, it will give you an idea of how dense it was. read more
