I procrastinated about cutting down these heavy-set trees from my front yard and backyard. I didn't think we would be able to afford a professional tree crew. One of the trees was a Walnut tree that had been planted by birds in a small space next to our wooden Tough-Shed storage The tree had been growing so many years, that it had begun pushing into the side and roof of the building ! I didn't know if anyone would want to take on such a difficult job - such a thick trunk, with hardly any space to work - but Pablo did, with no grief, and a reasonable price. I wish I had called him a few seasons earlier ! Pablo was very professional, he was knowledgeable about trees, and he had some serious equipment - WOW ! I was impressed to see how he handled each tree branch so carefully - avoiding phone lines. He was polite with our neighbor, asking him if his crew could enter his backyard to pick up fallen branches from our tree. I need to get major trimming done for 3 luas tree on the side of the property. Our neighbors told us that they hadn't been trimmed by previous owner for almost 20 years. As you can imagine, they were in horrible shape. During last winter's storm, I noticed that some fair big trunks were blown to the ground, which if hit any pedestrain, will be a big liability. So we feel we have to get the trimming done this year. I phoned 4 tree services after reading the yelp review. 1 of the 4 didn't phone back until a week later, and that's out automatically. 1 of the 4 gave a quote which is 4x of the price I got from Pablo, and that is out. Pablo and another tree service both gave very reasonable pricing. I picked Pablo because I feel I can communicate with him better, and he took the effort to explain to me what needs to be done and why, which I appreciate. The actual work was done a week later. Pablo and his team arrived on time, and started working right away. They worked nonstop for four hours on the 3 trees. I can't believe the day and night difference before and after the trimming. The team did a great job on the trees! Right away, I refered my next door neighbor to them, who has a palm tree that they would like to cut down. We needed one Tree removed including the stumps and another large tree trimmed. We called Pablo, he came by the next day and gave us a very reasonable quote. On the day that work was scheduled, Pablo and his crew showed up promptly and started on time. They did a nice job on removal of the tree/stump and did an excellent job of trimming of the second tree, thanks to Pablo's suggestion. The whole crew worked thru the day and finished by cleaning the area and returning all the furniture to its original place. This is a second review for PV tree service. We had them out trim our large oak tree in 2011 and were very happy with the results. It was time for tree to be trimmed agin so we called PV Tree service. Pablo came out and gave a very good quote after discussing what we wanted done. His crew showed up at the appointed time and got to work right away. We pleased to see the care they took for their safety and our property. Through out the process the workers would ask if any thing else needed attention. They cleaned up nicely. Pablo came by before the crew was tolally done and made sure we were satified with the job. I needed a very large dead pine and some smaller trees removed from my front yard. Pablo gave me a very reasonable estimate (versus some other quotes I was receiving). The job took two days. Both days he showed up with a crew and serious equipment. Lifters to hoist his men, grinders, trucks, etc... He was very punctual. On the first day when they ran just a little late I received a timely phone call letting me know that he was aware that they would be late by 15 minutes. He and his crew were very professional. Next time I need this type of work done I will go straight to PV Tree Service and not waste time with others. I had polar trims performed on 3 HUGE eucalyptus trees and regular trims done on a camphor and an acacia tree. The eucalyptus trees themselves were going to be HUGE job. Pablo came by and gave a reasonable quote for this service. He and his crew were very polite and punctual, showing up at the time they had said they would show up. He's also got the machinery and equipment to handle the trimmings so that no one had to scale the trees. About 2 working days later, everything was done and both the backyard and driveway were swept clean of the debris. Everything was hauled away and the trees look great now! I highly recommend using Pablo and his crew for any tree services you need. Had great initial input from Pablo in discussing what I wanted done. Thorough, detailed, careful and completed job to my satisfaction at a reasonable price. Work consisted of taking care of 2 large oak trees in cul-de-sac (cutting large branches from away from home, thinning, pruning); removing dead birch tree next to driveway (including stump); and thinning and pruning a medium sized Japanese maple tree in back yard. Their cherry picker and shredder equipment were great to watch in action removing/hauling away trees pieces. I am a bit skeptical when someone has superb rating on Yelp. Anyway, called Pablo to remove two small trees and grind the stumps. His quote was very reasonable and he has his own stump grinding machine. Few other cheaper quotes I got did not include stump grinding. Didn't want to hire another person to do the grinding. Pablo sent two guys to do the work. Work was done professionally and on time. While grinding a stump, a stone got caught in the machine and hit my neighbor's window. Just bad luck. Pablo paid for the window and got it repaired as soon as he could without my involvement. He ended up losing money but never complained. Very honest guy. read more

PV Tree service removed 4 trees that were too close to our house, a large yucca tree, and topped ten overgrown cypress. Several juniper bushes were also removed. The crew worked a solid two days (including one rainy day), removed all debris and cleaned up nicely. I am very pleased with the results. The price was reasonable, the crew worked very hard and had impressive equipment (including a large stump grinder, a heavy duty shredder capable of handling 12" diameter wood, and an incredible cherry picker for very tall trees) to complete the job. Pablo showed up for the estimate on time and gave me a lower bid than several others. He is an arborist and knew better than I did what I wanted. He had a crew there within a few days and they showed up on time and cleaned and thinned a really large and messy tree and thinned out a large pine that the PGE crews had butchered for many years. All the limbs were ground up and hauled away and the clean up of the yard etc. was great. They protected the roof with plywood and had to work around wires to my home and the house next door. Pablo VillaLobos (PV tree service) and his family did a spectacular and artistic job trimming our trees in the East Los Gatos hills. They do not use climbing spikes and are very careful how they perform the cuts. They sanitize the cutting equipment to avoid spreading any "sudden death" dissease. I needed an 80 to 90 foot Pine Tree removed. The Tree was blocking the street light and I was asked by the city to either remove it or cut it back severly. Pablo gave me advice on how to remove it and gave me a very reasonable estimate and e-mailed it to me promptly.
