Mendoza's Professional Tree Service did first-rate work with my trimming job. I needed about 10 trees trimmed, including a sizable cedar, elm, and redwood. They arrived early to stage their gear and vehicles for an on-time 8:00 AM start. Price was great, service was great, and Marcos was easy to work with from initial interaction through completion. I will bring them back to thin out the canopies in a year or two. One more thing worth noting - during our initial walkthrough I mentioned the new pavers on the ~70' long driveway. Marcos assured me that they would be careful and would pull the large truck only to the end of the driveway ramp. Not only did they do this, but they also brought a bunch of plywood to protect the driveway from tree branches and equipment. Nice touch! read more

Marcos and his team provided excellent, professional service for my property. I had them to remove all the vegetation from both the front and backyards. They efficiently cut down several trees over 20 feet tall and performed complete stump grinding for all the roots, finishing the entire project over the course of two half-days. They made a complex project look straightforward and kept the process stress-free. Once the work was done, they cleaned the entire area thoroughly and left no mess behind. Marcos was completely reliable throughout every stage of the project. He was punctual for the initial site visit, delivered a clear quote, and arrived on time on the days of the removal. There was no need for constant back-and-forth communication; he understood the scope of work immediately, and everything was executed exactly as planned. Overall, I highly recommend Marcos and his team if you are looking for reliable, high-quality tree and vegetation removal services. read more

I was very happy with Mendoza's tree service. Three cypress trees that were diseased and dying had to be cut. They came quickly for a free estimate, and today they came promptly in the morning to take care of the trees. Marcos and his brother were wonderful and professional. They took care of the trees and were mindful of my vegetable garden next to the trees. They cleaned up afterwards and did not create a mess in the neighbor's house either. The price, as many have mentioned, was very reasonable. I will definitely recommend them. read more

I Highly recommend Mendoza's Professional Tree Service. I had a great experience with Mendoza's for removal and stump grinding of 2 large trees, and pruning & shaping of 2 Japanese maples, and a Chinese Pastache. Marcos was very quick to reply to my request for a quote sent on a Friday morning, and was able to come that afternoon to assess the work needed, and provide a quote. Very reasonable price. Excellent communication, and flexible in working with me to coordinate the tree removal with fence replacement I was scheduling for the next week. Marcos and Brian were very prompt, completed the work quickly, and did a great job with cleanup. Marcos was great at explaining the work he would be doing, ad what needed to be done. I was so impressed with his work, I had Marcos come out the next week to prune a shape the Chinese Pistache tree in the front parking strip, and was very pleased with the result. I will definitely use Mendoza's again for future Tree care. read more

Marcos and crew were on-time, professional, and did exactly what he said in the estimate. I went by his recommendations, and the trees look great afterwards. I reached out to half a dozen tree service companies for a pruning and removal job at my home, and Marcos was not only the fastest to respond, but he made himself available the next day (a holiday!) to inspect the site, and his quote was more than reasonable. Highly unethical! They dumped a hot steaming pile of lemon peels and wet compost on my driveway! They assured me that they will give me good wood chips for my kids playground then the next day proceeded to dump 10 yards of hot steamy compost made of moldy dirt, wet leaves, and lemon peels. They basically dumped trash on my driveway. That's what he described to me as "Oh it's perfect for the playground" (They disguised the 10 yards of trash under another 10 yards of usable wood chips. So they dumped a total of 20 yards of this stuff on my driveway.) read more

Marcos and his team are now our go-to tree guys! They helped us take down some pesky trees around the property, then followed up several times to ensure the stumps didn't come back. This year we had them grind out remaining stumps on the property as well as trim a giant 40+ft Chinese elm. The team was efficient, on time, and very polite. On top of the big jobs Marcos ended up pruning every other tree and they've never been healthier! Highly recommend this service. +1 - punctual and polite +1 - competitive pricing and they take various forms of payment +1 - Knowledgable and trustworthy. Our trees are happy, we're happy, the power lines above our trees are happy. +1/-1 - as their business grows they are getting more powerful equipment! Originally Marcos couldn't grind out one of our stumps but he got the correct equipment this year and wrapped up the job better than before. read more

I contacted Mendoza's Tree Service to prune and trim our 20+ year old orange tree. The orange tree is 2 stories tall and came with the house, planted by the previous owner. According to the neighbors, the previous owner never trimmed the tree. It produced massive amounts of oranges (which are delicious) but the branches were growing over the roof of the 2-story house and blocking most of the sunlight from my daughter's upstairs bedroom window. Marcos was quick to reply after an initial quote request made through Yelp. He was able to come that day for an estimate and scheduled to trim the tree just two days later! During the estimate, he used a green laser pointer to show his plan on shaping the tree. He also discussed how pruning would help the tree's health, removing the dead wood that was taking energy from the tree and how the pruning would help produce more fruit. Marcos was professional and is an excellent communicator. On the day of trimming, he and his team took care of my orange tree, cleaning out all the dead wood, and trimming the tree branches 3ft away from the house. Beforehand, Marcos took care to move my potted plants, firewood pit, and an outdoor antenna out of the way, as not to risk damaging any of my property. They also did an excellent job cleaning up afterwards and creating neat piles of the branches for the city to remove. The tree looks great, and I can clearly see the oranges and should have no issue picking them off the tree now. Afterwards, Marcos educated me about some of the other trees in my backyard, recommending how to remove a pesky fig plant and even pruned my small lemon tree at no cost. He knows his trees. His prices are fair and the service is great. Marcos is fun to be around and joke around with too. Great guy and a great business. Fast response - awesome customer service. Worked within my compressed schedule. Executed flawlessly.

I got quotes from 7 different tree removal services to remove 2 queen palms that were starting to grow into utility lines overhead. I ended up choosing to go with Marco's service because of his communication, responsiveness, pricing and ability to do the grinding of the stumps flush to the pavement without needing to remove any of our paver bricks. There were other services that wanted to charge twice as much without even having the equipment to be able to cut or grind the stumps down to flush or below the pavement. Marcos committed to coming at 8am a few days later. He and his crew started right on time and were efficient getting the trees cut and removed without damaging any of the nearby utility lines. They cleaned everything up and hauled away all the sawdust & debris - left our backyard very clean. Wonderful job! Easy to work with and reasonable pricing. Would not hesitate to hire Marcos again in the future for our tree care needs. read more
