We contacted several tree companies to request a quote for a removal of a palm tree. However, JC's Tree Service came on a Sunday to give us a quote. JC was thorough and asked questions about gas lines to be sure they were not in the way of the project. They were also very flexible when scheduling. He worked with our pricing and even lowered the quote a little. The day of the removal his crew arrived on time, he was there and supervised, they were professional and hauled away tree trimmings and debris. I 100% recommend them. read more

Carlos and JC's Tree Service are absolute professionals at what they do. I have three challenging trees that needed pruning and they came out beautiful at a very reasonable price. Carlos also shared with me the work his crews have done in the time of disaster for several recent California wildfires. I have nothing but respect for what Carlos and his team stand for. Thank you guys! read more

Prompt response and provide a decent quote but was higher than the budget. He arrived at the location punctually.

We needed a few cypress trees removed due to the start of retaining wall damage and growth around a pipe. It was also time to perform some tree care maintenance (trimming, cleaning, reducing, etc). I scheduled with five companies, all with arborists in case we needed permits on any removals. They all offered free estimates on-site. Carlos came from JC's Tree Service, and we did the walk thru. Afterwards, he mentioned that he had a crew nearby that was working on tree removal in coordination with a house demo. He offered to take care of removing the cypress trees TODAY since this was a small job his crew could perform during a period of downtime at the nearby site. WIN-WIN: they got to add a job in during some downtime, and we got the trees cut that SAME DAY at a great price! They also cleaned up after themselves: blew/gathered all the tree debris from our driveway and sidewalk. read more

Professional, punctuatual, and extremely skilled and knowledgeable. Would recommend to family and friends!

Jose Castaneda Jr. was out walking our neighborhood passing out business cards while the crew was a few streets over working on a project and he asked if I needed any trees trimmed or removed. Perfect timing! I had already been getting quotes from other tree services in the South Bay for some trees I needed topped and trimmed that were growing into the utility wires. Jose came back into our backyard, took a look and gave me a quote on the spot! That was this past Monday and two days later the crew from JC's tree service showed up and trimmed and topped the trees as I had requested. And they did it quick, cleaned up everything so you wouldn't have even known they had been there! Amazing and , fast service and a great marketing/sales approach (walking the nearby neighborhoods)! Carlos the owner stopped by while his crew was working to see how things were progressing. Nice guy and him, Jose and the rest of the crew were very professional! JC's Tree Service also had a very competitive price to boot! and Will hire JC's Tree Service again next time I need some tree trimming or work! Excellent! Will post another pic showing the results tomorrow as it's too dark now to take an "after" shot read more

I was very happy with all aspects of the tree trimming services of JC's Tree Service. They were outstanding. Carlos and his team were very responsive, polite and professional. We appreciated the care with which they treated our property and how clean they left everything when they were finished with their work. They have a certified arborist who guides their work so that the health of the tree is considered in the pruning process, and the resulting trees have a nice shape and do not look hacked off. Carlos did a good job of explaining why trees need to be pruned in a certain way, and he took me for progress checks throughout the day to ensure that I has happy with how the work was being done and progressing. I had no issues at all and can highly recommend JC's Tree Service. They were terrific! As for price, they were very reasonable and priced similarly to other services who did not have an arborist on the team with particular expertise on tree issues. read more

CJ Tree service responded like champs after the winter storms took down a huge backyard cypress tree that landed on our home. The tree landed over the roof of the home covering the entire top. Carlos and team did an amazing job surgically removing the huge cypress away from the house. They were fast to respond, provided a reasonable estimate and left everything as if it had never happened. The neighbors were also impressed that they cleaned up all the sawdust that blew to the street every day they were there. A+ job! I will definitely use again. read more

I needed help to remove the remains of work done for me by a PG&E contractor, who left a lot of wood and trunks. CJ Tree Care took care of it in outstanding fashion. They also removed a lot of Wild Oak, which turned out more than we both anticipated, but they stood by their commitment. They do excellent work and can be fully trusted. They also provide excellent value, I can highly recommend them for any tree work. Walter V. read more

Over a year ago I interviewed several tree services to cut down 4 huge eucalyptus trees from approximately 135ft to 8 to 15ft. I was very impressed with Jose at CJ tree care. I chose him. I'm very impressed with the job he did. He was on time each day, and he and his workers were very knowledgeable climbing up those trees and guiding those huge branches to the ground include the huge pieces of the trunks. They were friendly, kept the area clean and it was almost magical to watch them work! Just today I hired Jose and his crew once again to cut off the "water shoots" that have grown back on the trees as expected between then and now. Once again, I am thrilled with his workmanship, and his skills and I will continue to hire CJ Tree Care as needed. I highly recommend CJ Tree Care! Susan P. read more
