The Best! Very Fast quote w/ all docs like license/insurance and response to emails/ texts. Appointment was on time and very neat/tidy. The job site was free of any cut tree debris and no other surrounding vegetation was damaged in the process. We had a very large/broad tree trimmed to 1/2 the size and Abel w/3 team members made sure to trim the tree with balance in mind for future growth. The tree was trimmed with great care as they had the latest tree equipment like a trailer tree chipper and a truck with a bucket boon to reach above/within the tree to trim difficult branches, the perfect tree company. I got an unsolicited mail from Emerald View Tree Service, called Edgar about a month ago. He came to my house within couples days. Then he gave me an unbelievable quote ($650) to remove a dead Liquid Ambar and trim a Magnolia. Both trees are ~ 3 story floor height and near the street ,on my side yard. Two wks later, as I received City permit, I called Edgar right away. Immediately, he recognized my voice, remembered where I live and how much he offered me the quote. I was shocked how good memory this young guy has. I even doubt am I his only one customer recently? He is super polite and all communications are very clear. I worried about "too good to be true". Did they do a good job? The end, I decided to give him a try. Edgar called PG&E come to mark sewer line & gas line near the tree. His team came on 7/13/22 to cut down dead tree (not include remove root yet) and trim Magnolia. They were super professional and high efficiency. They were also very carefully not to damage my property/plants near/under the tree. After work, they cleaned up all nearby area. Then this morning, 7/16/22, they came back to remove/grind the root. Edgar and his friendly crew pruned several fruit trees in my backyard and did an excellent job. After they were done I asked to have one of the trees shortened some more and they were happy to please. One other nice thing is that they came with a big chopper truck and so there were no piles of debris left at the curb as has been my experience with previous tree pruners. Poor customer service If I could give zero stars I would. I called after receiving a flyer in the mail. Edgar came out the next morning to give me a quote. I was excited to have three large trees cut and two street trees trimmed. I asked about a permit he said we probably didn't need one. I liked the price quote so decided to go with this company and set up a date. Two weeks later The day before they were scheduled to come. I receive an email saying we need a permit along with this explanation it's his dads company and they don't want to be illegal okay I don't either. I asked where would I find out how to get the permits. I get the permits granted and call thinking we still had a contract. Edgar never answered my calls I left numerous voicemails. Two weeks later I call on my business line and he answers saying he's out doing quotes and can't talk but will call me that night when he can look at his calendar to set up a date. No return call another week goes by without a response. He had no business sense. All he needed to say we don't want to honor the quote or even ask if they could give another. No consideration of my time. Just ignored. They ended up never doing any work for me. They didn't need my business and probably don't need yours either. I recommend you find a different tree company with excellent customer service. I certainly did. read more

We needed to remove a camellia tree in our backyard, which died because of years of stress due to our drought. We contacted a larger well-known tree service and left a message asking for an estimate. They did not return our call for several days. We decided to contact Emerald View Tree Service after finding their flyer in our mailbox. This is a local, family-owned company.run by a father-son team with several additional crew members on their staff. They were professional and responsive. They provided an in-person estimate in the morning and and were able to return the same afternoon to complete the work. Their crew of 3 worked quickly and efficiently and brought a wood chipper to dispose of the tree trunk and branches. They cleaned up and hauled off all remaining debris. Their prices are very reasonable, as well. We highly recommend Emerald View and would call on them again for any future tree service needs! read more
