One can certainly tell that these guys care about trees. They cut with care. They saw with sagacity. One might even compare them to the cherubim of old, except for trees. They work high off the ground, but they are down to earth. I've been using them over the years for my large redwood, and they've always delivered at a great value. Nice people, too. read more

I've used Tree Cherubs twice and it's been fantastic both times. I appreciate all of the knowledge that was shared as I'm new to owning fruit trees. I also was grateful that the sycamores I love were not vacant of limbs following the trim. read more

I had a Big Beautiful Tree that needed some serious tending to. Enter Tory -- a true patriot of pruning, a hilarious professional, and possibly the last man in California who understands the value of hard work, straight cuts, and free enterprise. This man doesn't just trim trees -- he liberates them. He showed up with the confidence of a man who's read the Constitution and the manual for every chainsaw ever made. He's got chainsaw lube running through his veins and the steady hands of a lumberjack raised on bootstraps and black coffee. Tory took one look at my tree, and I swear I saw him smirk when he noticed the branches leaning too far left. Without hesitation, he brought down that left wing like Reagan taking down the Berlin Wall. It was swift, clean, and frankly, a little too satisfying to watch. Then he moved to the right wing of the tree -- and I kid you not -- he paused, gently brushed a pine needle aside, and trimmed it with the care of a man grooming an American Bald Eagle. Wait... are we still talking about trees? There is absolutely no reason anyone should cross this man -- not because he's scary, but because he's right. He's a busy man, and with good reason: he gets the job done, does it right the first time, and charges a price that would make even the most frugal Founding Father tip his tricorn hat. Highly recommend. If your tree's getting progressively bigger, Tory will bring it back to center -- or slightly right of center, just how nature intended. God bless our trees. God bless Tory. And God bless America. read more

I want to give Rory and Alejandro 5 stars from Tree Cherub. I highly recommend this company to care for your tree needs. We needed to cut back our tree branches from the house. Our neighbors across the street recommended this company, so I called Tory, he was very professional, detail oriented, prompt and respectful. He explained and updated me with what to anticipate throughout the whole process. Tory is knowledgeable in how to care for trees, On the day of service, Rory and Alejandro showed up on time, both extremely respectful and professional. My experience with Tree Cherubs was exceptional! They arrived on time, got to work, and did an excellent job. Of course, they cleaned up the patio after trimming my lemon tree and my hibiscus tree, which hadn't been shaped and trimmed in more than 3 years. I couldn't have asked for more! read more

These people know trees and deliver high quality, friendly service. I was lucky enough to fimd them because I saw them trimming my neighbor's trees. I grabbed them for a quote and they delivered on the spot! Tremendous value for the price. All the guys were respectful of the tree, the property and me. I would high them again without hesitation. read more

All aspects of the removal of a dead birch went well so, I gladly called them again for a job at my Mom's house. This is a small family run operation and very efficient. They know what they are doing and they do just what they say. He runs on time! I get several quotes for everything. TreeCherubs pricing is competitive. I asked his opinion on how soon certain pruning, (pointed out by competitors) needed to be done. He said "not exigent." I had to look up exigent. While others told me these changes were important to do now, TreeCherubs told me the truth: it can wait safely. They won my trust and appreciation. Highly recommend! He's a character but, don't let that put you off. They do a good job efficiently and communicate well the whole time. read more

Bravo Tree Cherubs! You made the two overbearing, finicky Modesto Ash trees primed for spring. This team of angels are on time, knowledgeable, efficient, and so tidy! They will be my go to and recommendation for tree experts moving forward. So if you need a guy, I've got some guys ;) I got a few estimates before I met with Tree Cherubs. It was like the waters parted and I found my people when the cherub arrived. Absolutely delightful and a good laugh! The estimate was fair and explained all the potential issues that could arise, but also gave me an honest evaluation of what the trees needed since they were butchered in the past. Day of, they arrived before the scheduled time to set up tarps to protect my fake grass and didn't disturb my family. They spoke with the neighbors as well to let them know what to expect in the 5 hours they would be on site. They cut and cleaned the tree, and piled everything in the driveway like they said they would to prep for the wood chipper folks in a couple days. After cutting all the branches, cleaning up and leaving (hah), the cherub texted me letting me know the chippers would be on site that day. In total, less than 7 hours and my yard was left cleaner than before they showed up! The cherubs get the job done, and give very fair estimates. read more

Tree Cherubs used to be called We Care Tree Care. It's the same company and still run by Tory and Herme. Tory is very knowledgeable about trees and has over 20 years of experience. About 9 years ago we had Tory come and trim our 50-year-old Jacaranda tree and we were very happy with the care and concern about the tree and their work. Today, we wanted to have the same people come back out and were happy to discover that they were still around and rebranded as Tree Cherubs. Tory remembered our tree and was happy that we remembered him, too. Once again, he showed his knowledge and understanding of the tree and, again, didn't allow any climbers with shoe spikes for fear of damaging the tree. They took great care in protecting the plants and property below. They worked efficiently and quickly and did a fantastic job for a very good price given the large amount of work they needed to accomplish. They left the yard clean and neat and did a wonderful job at not cutting too much or just topping the tree like so many other tree trimming companies do. We actually have a neighbor that has a tree trimming company, but I've seen how they've hacked and topped trees in the neighborhood and I refuse to use them. We highly recommend using Tree Cherubs (formally We Care Tree Care) and will be using them again in the future. read more

I have a deceased Monterey pine in my Milpitas rental backyard. It is over 50 ft high, I am very concerned about the safety and quality of the tree removal project. Rental broker suggests a couple tree service companies. I talked to them but not very reassured. Then I see Yelp has a 5 start tree service company in Milpitas. I call them for an estimate. Tory came on time, explained the situation and gave me a fair quote. Last Thursday morning Tory and his team came promptly and successfully finished up in the afternoon. I highly recommend Tree Cherubs. read more

This review is especially for those who don't know much about trees and need honest and well informed opinion on maintenance of their trees. Dean is THE tree person to TRUST. He was prompt in his communication (prefers email). Arrived on time he communicated way in advance. We were worried that the cypress trees in our backyard look overgrown and the tops do sway a lot on windy days. We are so glad Dean came over and gave his honest opinion that the trees are fine and also gave us a timeline for future maintenance. He suggested few good tips about all other trees on the property. And what blew my mind was how he gave us a reasonable quote on the future work. It's so rare to find any quote for a professional service in bay area without feeling trapped or ripped off. Best part is the assurance that came from how he explained us everything. He surely knows his stuff and is mindful of all of our shared struggle with bay area prices. We will surely be calling him for all the future tree works and pro-tips. Thank you Dean for your time and guidance. Truly appreciate it! read more

I can't say enough nice things about Tory at Tree Cherubs. In terms of customer service and knowledgeable expertise, there really is no one else that I would ever call again in the Bay Area for tree work. He picked up the phone on my first call to request an inspection. He was flexible and just an absolute rockstar in terms of scheduling and punctuality. His quote was very reasonable and he was able to accommodate our fast timeline due to insurance reasons. I full-heartedly support giving Tree Cherubs (and especially Tory) a call if you need any help with tree services or care. He went above and beyond the call of duty in his craft of caring for trees in the Bay Area. read more

I requested a project quote through Yelp. Dean and Tree Cherubs responded quickly and was able to meet for a consultation and quote within the same day. Pricing came out better than all competitors. Tree Cherubs is under their parent company California Tree Solutions and those were the guys that came out to work. After agreeing and signing to tree trimming work, we scheduled for two weeks out. They came on time and worked the whole day trimming and cutting down the tree near the power lines. Afterwards, the crew cleaned up and left the area better and cleaner than how it was before. I liked how everyone was communicative and I was always kept up to date. I highly recommend this company and will definitely hire again for future tree work! read more

Was nervous about having my massive olive tree pruned as it had really been let go, and improperly groomed in the past. I know just enough about trees to know when an arborist is in order. I got such a quick and affordable on-site quote from Tree Cherubs that I made a quick decision to just go with it. Had other work going on so I appreciated that our schedules easily jived. Look at my beautiful tree! Was so fast, half the cost I was expecting, and cleanup went swimmingly. I was a nervous client, now I will be a returning one. Thanks guys!!! read more

We had an excellent experience with Tory and his team from Tree Cherubs. Our home had several large trees that needed to be trimmed. Through a recommendation from a friend, I reached out to Tree Cherubs through Yelp for a quote & scheduling. Tory was very responsive, scheduling a time to come to give us his opinion & an estimate for the labor. From our initial conversation, it was clear Tory has a vast amount of knowledge, very familiar with the trees in the Bay Area, and good insight into our tree's current & projected health. He provided good recommendations on how the trees could be trimmed to prevent fallen branches with winter storms, as well as cosmetically keep the tree looking natural. Once we settled on a quote, Tory emailed me the agreement. When it came time to execute the trim, Tory texted me the evening before to confirm his arrival time in the morning. He & his partner arrived on-the-dot, quickly started the job to trim 4 of our trees. One of the trees in our backyard intersects with string lights, and Tree Cherubs did a careful job protecting the lights & the floor with some tarp. All branches were moved to the front, and the site was swept neatly. After the job was completed, a chipper arrived a few hours later to remove the branches. All in all, we were very pleased with the experience. We'd recommend anyone who needs a tree expert to reach out to Tory! read more

Dean is extremely responsive, well spoken and knows his stuff. He is a certified ISA member and very knowledgable when it comes to any kind of questions/jobs/asks related to trees. He was very punctual with our appointments, gave very competitive estimates and educated us about a lot of things we didn't know as first timers. I would 100% recommend him for any tree jobs you are looking to get done. read more

I requested a quote to trim our large bay laurel tree because we had concerns over the health of the tree. Tory came out and not only did he reassure me that the tree was healthy, but he recommended that we do nothing as the tree was beautiful as is. He did provide a very reasonable quote to clear out some of the extra branches and do minor shaping, but only if we really thought it was required. We appreciated his honesty and, in addition, he was a wealth of knowledge about many different eateries in the area that we have yet to visit. read more

Prompt response, got the job done at reasonable price. We needed to deal with brown branches on our red wood trees. Tori and the team is great. They came onsite with an estimate. The quote for two median trees was extremely fair. Booked a date and arrived right on time. I was watching along the way, they looked very professional doing the job, and brought down both trees quickly and cleanly. I had a pool right next to the tree, they took great care of the debris so the pool remains nice and clean. While doing the job, they never forget to joke and interact. A professional team, a fair price and an optimistic attitude. 5 star! read more

I appreciated Tory's honesty and candid attitude when he talked us through the trees on our property for us. We decided to go with Tree Cherub not only because the price was competitive but mainly because he made solid recommendations for the health of our trees and explained why certain branches were growing at strange-looking angles, due to previous cuts. He pointed out that one of our trees was diseased and he shared what signs to look out for in the future for if it gets worse. I had also thought that we would get our incense cedars trimmed but he recommended waiting for the winter so that the tree wouldn't get stressed. I appreciated that because I would much rather have healthy strong trees in the long run. As for the job, he and his helper trimmed our eucalyptus tree beautifully and got the wood chipped and hauled away that afternoon. We are very happy with the outcome and appreciated that he was communicative and checked in while trimming so that we could give feedback. He also helped us remove vines, remove some baby oak trees that we did not want, and cleared up our sad orange tree and taught us how to get it healthy again. read more
