Really glad we found Cal Line for our tree work. Alejandro came out, took a good look at…read moreeverything, and gave us a straightforward quote that ended up being more reasonable than the other bids we got. What stood out most was how much he actually knew, he explained why certain trees needed to be trimmed a certain way and at a certain time of year, not just "we'll cut it and see." The crew showed up when they said they would, worked fast without cutting corners, and hauled away all the debris so we weren't left with a mess in the yard. They even took down a couple of overgrown trees and cleaned up some hedges along the fence line, and the whole property looks so much better now. Everyone on the crew was easy to deal with and clearly knew what they were doing. We've already got a couple more trees we want looked at and Cal Line will be who we call.

I love these trees and they were part of why we bought the house. Alejandro's quote was very reasonable, and his brother and the crew was able to do some other tree work with a minimal increase to the baseline quote. They did such a good job I want to have them back to take care of some other trees that I wasn't considering prioritizing, including a shared tree with the neighbor. Thank you for the great work!

After a number of lackluster experiences with TaskRabbit (getting ghosted mid-conversation, having…read moreconfirmed Taskers not show up, having Taskers provide inefficient service), my husband and I decided to start a gardening project on Yelp in order to request quotes for our front and back yard. Isai responded within the hour with an offer to drop by for a free consultation and his contact information. We were able to schedule something for the next day which had to get pushed back another day, but throughout it all, Isai was very communicative and punctual. I received a number of quotes within three days from my Yelp request and Isai was the most reasonable by far. We were able to book a day and time that worked for us the week after. Before our appointment, Isai reached out with at least six different photos of options for ground cover and I appreciated being included in this process even though I don't have extensive knowledge of landscaping or gardening at all. The day of, Isai and his team came in the morning and within just a few hours, completely transformed our front and back yard. They worked quickly and methodically to uproot all of the weeds from the front rock garden and in between the concrete; shaped various shrubbery and trees; weed all of the planters in the back yard, lay down landscaping fabric, and also the mulch; and, sweep up various leaves and fallen fruit. Payment was easy through Zelle and as he left, he notified us that the yard waste would be a little heavy because the weeds were wet. He also asked if we had pets (we don't). He indicated that weeding the front yard was difficult and that a little Round Up at the first inkling of weeds would go a long way in keeping them at bay. We are truly impressed by Isai and his team and very thankful. I would not hesitate to recommend them and to request their services again.

They were on time, courteous, accommodating, and accurate in completing the job on time. They cut down two huge 65-foot eucalyptus trees nudged between two homes with very limited space to work in. Jose, the lead, had four workers on the job at all times. He visited the job to supervise, as well, and also helped on the job. I have to say the climbers were the most impressive. They were both experts in rigging the huge branches so that they would not damage the roof. I was planning to visit the job quickly on the first day and leave until afternoon but ended up staying three to four hours just so I could watch in amazement (and some stress!) how they pulled off the job. But from the start, I knew we were in the hands of experienced professionals who knew what they were doing. The guys worked as a team in total sync and had all the equipment there they needed to get the job done. As far as pricing goes, it was very reasonable for the job. The trees were huge. I shutter to think what might have happened if the job were given to less experienced cutters -- any one of the cuts done incorrectly could have damaged the house, the neighbor's house, or people. I was not the only one who was amazed -- several of the neighbors also came out to say what a great job they thought Vega's had done and told us we had hired the right crew. They wondered, too, how those trees would be cut down safely. Thank you, Vega's, for a job well done. I can now get through El Nino without worrying about those two trees toppling over in a storm. FIVE STARS TO YOU!

Thankfully, Yelp has been super helpful with our search for a contractor and we landed on using Garcia Fencing. We reached out for a quote and the contractor Kenny was quick in setting up a time to come over for an initial assessment (discussed what needed to be fixed and what style of wood (board on board)/stain to fix with) and quote of the overall cost. Let's just say the overall project to replace all the backyard fence can be pretty expensive but we received a reasonable estimate. It only took them about a little bit more than half a day to get the entire fence replaced which was super impressive. We did end up having to call them back another day to do some additional fixes for some gaps on the fences that we noticed but they were able to come to fix those up. The new fence did end up looking very nice and sturdy! The stain really does make it look very polished and clean. Overall, we had a good experience working with Garcia fencing and would recommend for any future fencing needs. Also warranty is seven years so def a big help for any future fencing concerns.

I spoke with a few different contractors and received three quotes. Two were in a similar range, including Julian's; the third was much more expensive. I chose Julian because the business seemed well managed, and the results did not disappoint. Noe was the person I worked with. He was on time, easy to communicate with, and prompt in replying. He was knowledgeable about his work and quickly identified what needed to be done in each area of the yard as we walked around my yards. On the day of the job, eight crew members arrived right on time: four climbers and four ground crew members. While a few did not speak much English, others did, so communication was never a problem. They worked hard for about eight hours and completed the job by the end of the day. Noe stopped by shortly after noon to make sure the work was meeting my expectations. When I mentioned a few additional items I wanted addressed - such as clearing more of the brush in the backyard - he quickly spoke with the crew and had them taken care of. The entire team was easy to communicate with and clearly knew what they were doing. For example, one of the trees had branches hanging over the power line leading into my house. They trimmed it just enough to clear the line and leave a beautiful canopy without overdoing it. I was impressed. They also did a thorough cleanup afterward. I am very happy that I hired the right team. The trees and yard look so much better and healthier now. Highly recommended!
