Jose is an amazing guy and easily runs one of the best tree services in the area! His pricing is fantastic, and he's fully licensed and insured--which was a huge contrast to many of the other quotes I received. Having full coverage and real expertise is critical in this line of work, especially since our trees were right in the backyard and extremely close to the house. Right from the start, Jose made us feel completely safe and confident in his process. We will gladly use Vegas Tree Removal again and will be recommending Jose to all of our friends for any tree trimming or removal needs. Definitely a huge thumbs up from us! read more

Tree stump removal in very difficult area. They did a thorough careful job and were not expensive considering the work they did. read more

Amazing communication and service. Easy to get a quote and get scheduled. They didn't leave a single leaf behind. Thanks!!

We had Jose from Vega's Tree Service out to look at some dying hedges and chose to have them plant replacements. Jose and his crew did a good job. Based on that job, we had Jose come back to price planting of sago palms and trimming trees/bushes/hedges. His price sounded good so we scheduled a one-day job for the work. On the scheduled Tuesday, a crew of three arrived (but not Jose to lead the work). We had to explain to the lead what we wanted done (same as we had explained to Jose before). The lead did not appear to understand us completely. The lead even FaceTimed with Jose for clarification. Apparently, that didn't make it any clearer for the lead...as evidenced by the crew's work. During the first three hours, the crew only managed to plant the sago palms...half of them planted too deep in depressions. They ran out of soil. The lead found a bag on my property and asked if they could use it. After I told him no, he used it anyway and said he misunderstood me. One guy also had to leave to buy more soil for the sagos. After I complained to Jose, the crew provided a replacement bag of soil. The crew trimmed the palm trees and hedges ok. They, however, botched the rest of their work. They butchered the bushes, fruit trees and other trees. They only completed about have the work and didn't cleanup at the end of their day...saying they'd be back on Friday. We feel it is unacceptable for them to have left the job site in such a state...even if they planned to return. The crew also broke a yard lantern. Not sure if we can get a replacement. We cancelled their Friday return and only paid them for the work completed. We are not satisfied with either the partial job done or the price charged for that partial job. It's crap. Vega Tree Service clearly had a more important job elsewhere and sent an inexperienced/subpar lead and crew to do our job. Poor customer service. We will not be using Vega's Tree Service again. We also cannot recommend them to other customers. read more

Super! They showed up on time and fell a 30-ft 12-in diameter tree and had it out in less than 3 hours. I did not have them grind the stump out but they cut it flush to the ground. Very reasonable price! Highly recommended. read more

Tree and large bushes trimmed The Vega crew was wonderful. I am an informed gardener. However I do not wish to do large projects. They respected my wishes. The head of the crew stood next to me on the ground while the workers were in the tree. He relayed my instructions--some of the workers did not speak English. When they finished the huge bushes trimmed had been shaped into an attractive part of the garden. Every thing was cleaned up. They worked with care and I was pleased that they were careful for their own safety. read more

recently used Vegas Tree Trimming Service for some work on my property and had a positive experience overall. The team was professional and efficient, initially trimming the trees. After completing the work, I requested them to trim the trees to my property line. I reached out to the company, and I was pleasantly surprised by their willingness to return and address my concerns without hesitation. Their commitment to customer satisfaction was evident, and they handled my request promptly. Additionally, they managed interactions with a neighbor who had some concerns about the trimming very tactfully. It was clear that they understood how to navigate the situation with sensitivity and professionalism, which I truly appreciated. I recommend Vegas for their integrity and customer service. They proved to be reliable and attentive to their clients' needs, even in the face of challenges. read more

Excellent service! they did a beautiful job cutting back large palms and a gigantic bird of paradise in my yard. Professional, punctual and skilled. Highly recommend! read more

Very responsive for an estimate. Quick on the phone to set up, reminder call, and showed up on time. Estimate was a quick turnaround. I chose to defer the service until a later date, but would use their service. Estimate was very competitive. read more

They did a great job. They were fast, thorough and cleaned up so well you wouldn't even know they were there.

Very responsive and easy to work with, we got a quote for pruning of the Cinamomum street tree in front of our house. It was reasonable, we said yes, and had it pruned up in a week. It looks great! The removed all the dead branches and reduced the size of the canopy very thoughtfully. It's thin now but will grow back in really nicely. Hoping for slightly less tree litter all over the sidewalk and in our yard for a bit! Please use Vega's for your street tree or personal tree pruning needs, don't let them get hacked by people who don't know what they are doing! read more

Tony and his team are absolutely great. In good spirits. Go the extra mile. A fair price.

I had a great experience with Vega Tree Service. They tackled some tough stump removals in my yard, which isn't the easiest place to work--steep and tucked away in the hills--but they got the job done quickly and thoroughly. Everything was cleaned up beautifully. I was so impressed I recommended them to a friend, who then hired them to take out a few palm trees and had the same positive experience. Reliable, professional, and skilled--I'd definitely use them again. read more

The first time we used Vega's they did a great job. The second time we used them they cut the top of our Acacia tree off. We also asked that one palm be cut and the stump left, which it was, but another type of palm was cut and the stump was also left when we specifically asked for it to be removed. My mistake was not noticing it said to not grind both. The real disappointment is the Acacia, which looks absolutely strange and terrible. When I explained the situation to Jose, he said "I guess they made a mistake, nothing I can do about it now". I'm so disappointed and have no idea how and if the tree will grow back. He also kept interrupting me which made me feel I had nothing important to say. He finally said to call him in a year and they'd trim it for free. I'll be calling someone else. Most of their reviews on here are great so I guess they don't need our business anyway. read more

Vegas Tree Service did a great job. Came in scheduled and maintained good communication. I was very pleased with the way they pruned the Sycamore tree in front of my house. Jose & crew removed a 60' tall pine tree off my hill & moved all that wood & limbs down my steep terrain & made many many trips up & down to manually haul to their chipper on the street. A very big job with no damage to anything. I am impressed how much hard work they did in 3 days of effort!! I highly recommend Jose & crew for a great job!!! The price they charged was fair for all the hard labor involved! Call Jose, he is very easy to work with. Don Moresi, Orinda read more

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING SERVICE!! I needed to get my tree cut quickly before we start work on our roof. After contacting Vega's thru Yelp, I received a response quickly and within a couple of hours Jose came to do an estimate. He also made sure to get me scheduled within 2 days in order to be done in time. He scheduled me for 9AM Friday (Roofer starts Monday) and even tried to come a day earlier but I unfortunately missed the call. He and his crew showed up today (Friday) earlier than scheduled at closer to 8AM which was amazing! They were completely finished including clean-up in about an hour! AMAZING JOB! VERY NICE AND PROFESSIONAL. REASONABLE PRICE! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! read more

Vega's has done work at my house at least four times. Both trimming and removing trees and large shrubs. Every time the service has been scheduled quickly and high quality. They always leave the area cleaner than it was when they arrived. The company is easy to work with because Karla is available by email and phone while Jose is out doing estimates and jobs. Prices are always reasonable. read more

Jose & co were fast, efficient caring and reasonably priced. We had an avocado tree in the back yard which was getting into our neighbor's roofs so they asked us to trim back the avocado. Not only did Jose come to our house to give us an inspection and estimate he actually went to our neighbor's house to check in w/them about their needs and expectations and to make sure that they would be home the next while the tree-trimming took place. Everything went according to plan. We're pleased, the neighbors are pleased and things look pretty fantastic in our yard now. They went to the extra trouble to actually shape the tree (for it's health and for esthetic reasons). Cannot recommend them enough. Thanks Vega's Tree Service! read more

I had Vega's Tree Service come out to trim a few large Oaks on my property. I dealt with Jose and he was very welcoming and clearly communicated the best path forward with the interest of the trees in mind. His team came out and knocked the job out in a few hours. They were efficient, skilled, and fast! They even hauled out some extra yard waste that was unrelated to their work for a very small additional fee the day of the job. I'd use Vega's again. read more

Jose and his crew did a great job at our property yesterday. We needed a large coast live oak trimmed to remove some dead branches, another tall blackwood acacia also trimmed, a large shrub removed, and several stumps ground. Jose gave a competitive estimate and then his crew came on time to do the job. These guys worked hard! They got here right at 8:30 and worked straight until 5, with just a short lunch break. The shrub was rooted in a large rock pile and the crew did a great job of breaking up all the roots so we could level out the land there. Thanks again! read more

Jose's team did a fabulous and speedy job with our two overgrown trees! I was worried that cutting down the trees significantly would make them look stumpy and bad, but the team was so caring and artful and did a fantastic job shaping the trees so they looked healthy and vibrant-- my partner said he couldn't even remember what they used to look like after the job was done! The team was also very fast and the quote was very reasonable. I will definitely be working with Vega's again in the future. read more

Several of my neighbors had worked with and highly recommended Vega's Tree Service. Even though I contacted them on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend, I got a response within minutes. Knowledgeable, responsive, quality work, and quick! Jose came out and assessed the huge oak tree I wanted trimmed and cleaned up. I had 3 trees trimmed. They quoted. me one price. They came with laser and pointed at different branches. We talked about making sure the trees weren't over the neighbors house either. Jose the one who quote said no problem. When they were working my neighbors asked them to trim one over her drive way and she paid extra for that. They told her it was $300 for the one Jose already agreed to trim. She wasn't going to pay and with only one half of it trimmed it looked terrible and if it was going to fall over. I told her of my agreement and went to the guy working, Santiago and told him it was suppose to be included and he trimmed it. Then they told my neighbor she had to pay. Called Jose and he said the contract read over my house which it did not it just said house and roof. If you need a tree trimmed Find someone else, these people are scam artist read more

This is the second time that Vega's Tree Service has come out to take down trees on our property. The first time they did great job, and this time around they did as well. They're definitely our tree company now. The first job was the removal of several Italian cypresses and grinding out palm tree stumps. This time we had them remove a fig tree that was too close to our home and two vine stumps that kept sprouting new vines (we had tried to remove the vine stumps but they were beasts). They were on time, friendly, professional, and made quick work of the job. Both times we've had them out we got estimates from several tree removal companies. Vega's pricing is always very fair in comparison to other estimates. The first time we had trees removed I had two other companies call back and offer to lower their estimates to meet the lowest bidder. I prefer not to haggle and had already hired Vega's based on his professionalism at the estimate and his fair pricing. Thanks Vega's! read more

Vega's Tree Service is fast to respond to requests. They gave me a very fair price. They removed a jacaranda stump in a tight spot and an enormous yucca and stump by hand because it was in a tight spot near utilities. The yucca was a houseplant I never should have put in the ground because it quickly became a monster. There are many different species of Yucca that make nice landscape focal points but this one that's sold as a houseplant-don't put it in the ground! Now I have a spot to plant a Ceanothus "Ray Hartman" that will benefit local birds and pollinators. I'm 100% satisfied with Vega's Tree service, professional service, and great value! read more

Thrilled hired them to remove my trees! This positive review is overdue by a few months. Back in January, I hired Jose and his team to take down several large trees and remove their stumps. They did a fantastic job! I had 7 tall Cypress each about 50-80 feet tall along my back property line. However, they had become diseased with a canker. So were somewhat structurally weakening. Plus, worried about them maybe falling down whenever we had a heavy rain with the ground being saturated or strong winds given they were so tall. My yard is pretty small; this is very typical in my neighborhood. So the trees were relatively close to both my house and my immediate neighbors too. If ever one of trees were ever to fall, it could easily damage our homes. Anyway, I was so glad found Vega's! A neighbor down the block was having their tree removed and I saw the truck. So spoke with Jose. He agreed to came by my place to give me a verbal quote - no pressure. I liked him and the quote seemed fair. So booked an appt. The day of their appt it actually rained quite a bit. But they still showed up and worked! I was really impressed with their professionalism. The crew seemed to work really well together too. That is important with all the machinery and skill involved to take down such large trees. They were so thorough too. Not only did they remove the trees and stumps, but the crew also spent quite a bit of time cleaning up my yard - and even my immediate neighbors' yards too - afterwards. So was thrilled with their actual work. No funny business either with them changing the quote afterwards - the final price remained consistent with the original quote. So they have good business ethics. Now, almost 4 months after removing the trees - and all the heavy rains and winds we have had since then - I am so relieved did not have to worry about those trees anymore. read more
