We came here for appetizers and drinks on a Saturday afternoon. The patio area is gorgeous and we really enjoyed sitting outside in the nice weather before the cold Colorado fall soon sets in. We tried the shishito peppers, truffle fries, and guacamole with blue corn chips. Everything was fresh and tasty. The service was hit and miss; our server was fantastic, but some of the other staff didn't seem to like their jobs. I hear Toro's brunches are amazing. Changing my previously bad review: Came here for brunch on a Saturday and had a great experience. Got the bottomless brunch/drinks which was great. The only reason I took away one star was for my previous experience, which was not good. Here are some things to know: -make a reservation (this is an absolute must, even if you are just trying to sit at the bar) -This restaurant uses 100% of the chairs and space in the hotel lobby. You may have to specify if you don't want to sit there -don't assume if you are staying at the hotel that you will have any priority for reservations. It's feels weird having to write that. Update - 4/17/22 Came here for Easter Brunch it was on Saturday before so not busy at all maybe 5-6 tables of people. They had the outside raw bar, Bloody Mary bar and crepe station in addition to the usuals. The price was $22 more than usual so $77 verse usual $55 with alcohol. I was very disappointed in the food and service. I've been to brunch several times it used to be my fav place. Firstly the fruit plate usually has a mango mousse and bee pollen this time was just plain fruit. The enchiladas on the entree plate were extremely crispy and overdone like they had been sitting for awhile. I asked for 3 eggs Benedict poached hard and got 2 extremely runny. I asked for house salsa and they brought me a bottle of Tabasco- surprising for a Latin fusion restaurant. The waffles they used to bring you all kinds of ice cream in good size bowls with. This time I got literally a sauce size cup with one tiny scoop of ice cream with it. It's disappointing their service and portions are going down while the pricing is going up. I understand food costs are rising but I would still expect the same service you started with. Not sure I'll be back here again. Came here for my bday dinner to sit on patio and I love the Patio here it's lit up well. Came here for their bottomless brunch. I've wanted to try this place for a while so I'm glad I made it. They bring out mini versions of all the courses and then you can pick and choose what you want more of and it's $49 for food AND drinks. The drink menu is pretty extensive for 10 a.m. so I can't complain about that. We started with a fruit platter - nothing special but nicely decorated and it came with a nice mango puree sauce. Next, was a taco, beef skewers with corn salad and ahi tuna - I asked them to skip the tuna, but they accidentally brought it out anyway, not a huge deal since it's not related to a food intolerance, but just something for the kitchen to be aware of. The beef skewer was AMAZING. So tender and juicy and well seasoned. Finally, we got to the entree course - chicken enchiladas, beef hash and an eggs Benedict. Chicken enchilada was my favorite from this round. The hash was really good too. Dessert course was mini waffles with sorbet and ice cream. A nice touch. While the food and concept are spectacular, the reason I'm taking off a star is the execution was lacking. The menu I got had coffee stains on it, a bit of a turnoff for an otherwise nice restaurant. Weird returning experience. Used to come 3 or 4 times a month for brunch then my work schedule changed. We returned today to MAJOR CHANGES. Firstly the price went up $10 per person. Second, the place was empty compared to a couple of months ago. We stood at the front for a long time before being greeted. It's a weird vibe now. With the new menu I see where Oscar was going with a more Latin feel but we miss the eggs benny. We miss the waffles. We miss the bacon. We miss ceviche. With the void of Cherry creek locals there's loud drunk men at the bar swearing at 11am. It's a weird vibe. Because we are gringos we don't do super spicy food so for us there's not much more we can eat on the menu. Sad day at Toro it's our last for brunch. There is indoor and outdoor seating with fire pits. It was pretty busy when we got there so I would recommend making reservations if you are planning to go on the weekend. Hubby and I had the Sunday Bottomless Brunch and Toro did not disappoint. The menu is basically set as prix fixe style. For $49 they will give you a sampler of everything on the menu. When all has been served then you can revisit anything on the menu as many times as you'd like for the following 2 hours. Drinks listed on the brunch menu are also unlimited and very tasty. Upscale kinda place, not usually my go to type of spot to eat but it was for a friends birthday. First of all I have to say parking is kinda hard to find if you want to not have to pay, and even if you don't mind on a friday night like when I went it can still be a struggle, though this place does have a valet. So now on to the food! Menu was pretty decently sized not to much or little and the prices were not too bad, I was actually surprised at the decent portion size I received for how much I paid. The flavor was really unique and the chicken was extremely tender in a way I don't know if I could replicate myself. A finer dining restaurant nestled inside of a hotel in Cherry Creek. This place has tasteful and unique decor with indoor seating and a very warm patio area. The staff didn't give off an overwhelmingly fine dining vibe especially for the price point of the restaurant. In terms of service, it was almost like one of those wannabe fine dining that has the prices, the look, and the food quality and aesthetic but the servers definitely do not convey fine dining but more like normal dining where all entrees are $15 and not $50. The Colorado beef sushi roll that I got was phenomenally crafted and the flavor pairing immaculate. Definitely would get again. For mains, my table got the half chicken and salmon. Both dishes were good but nothing crazy impressive. I actually came more so for the dessert which was an exploding dessert that was super cool. Overall, the experience was good. What a beautiful experience we had. The salmon was incredible, I blinked my eyes and suddenly my dish was cleaned and my belly full. The truffle fries, get them. If you do the unlimited food it comes out in a few courses with multiple small portions on each plate so you can literally try everything they have to offer! This place is in the JW Marriott where I was staying. I ordered a flight of their breakfast dishes and was impressed. The Belgium waffles were solid and as expected. The yuzu compote though was the secret sauce that made this my favorite dish. The eggs Benedict had this nice yellow Amarillo sauce alongside the hollandaise which Spiced up the meal just enough to make it different from the conventional Benedict fare. Would recommend both dishes! Update: I came the next day for an omelet and Belgium waffles. I asked for the sausage with the omelet that it says came with it on the menu as a choice selection but got charged an extra $5 for it. The waitress said the sausage included in the omelet meal is purely a topping but that is clearly not a topping selection as it's separated as a choice of meat following the toast option on the menu...I literally asked for sausage as it was an option that said was a choice with the omelet meal so why should I be the one holding the bag here?? Secondly, they forgot my waffle order. 30 minutes after I ordered I already finished my omelet and had to remind them about the order. Ended up coming 5-7 minutes later and I ended up eating it after I finished my initial omelet. When the bill came I left a tip out of being kind but honestly felt like I got the short end of the stick with the forgetful food order and the $5 charge on the sausage. They also poured all the toppings on the waffles this time around and don't know any place that does this...it should be the customers choice to put syrup on their waffles as I didn't want syrup and just the whip topping and fruit. The fruit topping wasn't even the yuzu compote but this blueberry one so I was just disappointed in the change of quality of service from yesterday. read more

The breakfast old fashion was my favorite and comes with a piece of bacon too. They give you a sampler plate for their fruits, appetizers, entree and desserts. I recommend skipping this course and taking advantage of all the other food, but that's just me. Appetizers: Ceviche - Fresh and delicious! Bison Skewer - The best thing on their menu. I ate like 6 of these. It was fatty and so packed with flavors. The corn salsa was fantastic. Pork Belly Taco - The pork belly was fatty and tasty, but the taco overall lacked flavors. I recommend taking the corn salsa from the skewers and adding it here! Entree: Enchiladas - Delicious and the salsa on top packed a flavor punch. Hash - Potatoes were so crispy and delicious. The egg was perfectly runny too! Benedict - I couldn't really taste the ham, but it was still delicious. Dessert: Waffle - So fluffy and delicious! Add the ice cream and you're in heaven! Ice Cream - They bring out a vanilla, chocolate, chili pepper and mango. They were all delicious but that was one of the best vanilla ice cream I've had. I cannot wait to come back! You do have a limit of 2 hours I believe. If you don't want alcohol, then it's $30 per person. But your non alcoholic friend will need to be at their own table because it's an all or none type of deal. The brunch menu is somewhat limited. But no biggie. My group decided to order everything! And everything was awesome!! The items we decided to get additional of were the bison skewers, al pastor tacos, and the eggs benedict. Of course the drinks kept flowing as well. The cocktail menu has quite a bit of options. I ended up with the breakfast old fashioned. Came with a nice slice of bacon everytime! For dessert, they serve Sweet Action ice cream and sorbet. We had once had drinks here a few months ago and it was exceptional at the bar. Which is what prompted us to try the restaurant. We had a 7:15 reservation today for Mother's Day. They were very busy and said they needed 10-15 mins to get thing ready. There were many people waiting. This is understandable, things get busy and maybe they didn't anticipate the rush. We finally got sat and the waitress took our drink order. We ordered the REALEZA and margarita no salt. The drinks took a while to arrive. Our waitress came back with three drinks and salt on my margarita. She took it back to be poured in a glass without salt. We then ordered the following SMOKED SWORDFISH DIP, SWEET CORN EMPANADA, FLAMBE SALMON ROLL, SALMON, CUSCO HALF CHICKEN, 14 OZ SAKURA PORK CHOP with POTATOES THREE WAYS. Empanadas and Swordfish dip were yummy. As dinner arrived, they had messed up and the waitress put in a steak instead of a pork chop. I waited and encouraged the rest of our party to go head and eat. They couldn't because they didn't have any silverware. The waitress apologized and said they were bringing the pork chop our shortly. I asked her to get the table silverware. She brings our table silverware but no knife for my pork chop, which is still not there yet. See picture of the "pork chop". It's not a 14oz pork chop! Then I had to waited for the knife from some the food runner. The pork chop was supposed to be medium but given the fast cook time, it was overcooked and chewy. The cauliflower purée in salmon was really good and creamy. My sister then ordered an old fashioned and instead they brought over another Realeza (my sister's first drink). We told them that was incorrect and they brought over the correct drink. I was hesitant but my sister wanted dessert and we ordered the double chocolate cake. It didn't taste good, the ice cream it came with wasn't bad. We let the waitress know and she comped the dessert. Given the service and so many error, I figured they would have comped some of the bill but nothing! I called our waitress over and asked her to take off the pork chop given the experience and she did. We had a very disappointing experience and the food was not that great. Given this is located in a hotel, I expected high level of service. I really hope the server was just having a bad day but that was a lot of mistakes. It didn't real phase her the amount of mistakes that were made. There was no effort to change our experience. read more

Service was great. The sweet corn empanada was amazing -- full of flavor and the most buttery crust imaginable. The waiter bragged about the juicy Sakura pork chop. I was psyched. For $48 so it had better be good. It was the most overcooked, dry, chewy and hard piece of pork I've had since my childhood when my old school mother in the 70s overcooked her pork chops to kill the worms. I was so sad and disappointed. I had some of my wife's brussel sprouts and we agreed that they were the best we've ever had. But nothing could make up for the ruined pork chop. read more
