My Traverse had a recall for an a airbag. I called and scheduled an appointment for two days later. When we arrived we were told the airbag wasn't in stock and would be a couple of weeks before it came in. Why didn't they check before they made the appointment? Second time Tom Bell has sealed the deal! Great group of people who really care about making a good deal for you and making sure you leave happy. They are not phony here. They are genuine. We had recently purchased a used 2023 Z71 back in August of 2025 and loved it. Back then we left with a beautiful truck for a fantastic price with a lot of great top of the line features. It hardly seemed used but did have a little over 20,000 miles. We added some upgrades like a bed cover, all terrain tires and running boards but put on another 20,000 + miles. Recently, we had been contacted by several people claiming to be with Tom Bell saying that we could trade in the truck and get something bigger and better and they would meet the Blue Book price. We went down before the 4th of July and the truck they said they had wasn't there but Jorge did his best to show us what we were looking for. He was super knowledgeable about all the different models and each one's unique features. He was incredibly patient and super friendly. The salesmen here are never pushy or intrusive. They are like neighbors and are very easy to talk to. We did not see anything we loved but did want to sit down and see what kind of deal we could get. Even though the deal promised to us in advertisements and promotions had been a thrid party service. Tom Bell honored the match Blue Book deal. We needed a stronger bigger truck to tow our new trailer so we wanted to upgrade if it was worth it to us but we did not want to lose any of the upgraded features of our current Z71. They really listen to you and understand each customer's unique needs. When both the deal and the truck on offer did not wow us Cory stepped in and after just 2 minutes of explaining the entire situation and what we were hoping for and needing he had the team drive around an absolutely gorgeous brand new 2026 Silverado Trail Boss. It looked exactly like our current truck only much bigger and it came with everything we had plus a few more unique upgraded features. It felt like winning a car on a game show when we saw it. We were ready to leave and try another day but Cory made magic happen. In an instant we were super excited and happy by his intervention in the deal. He cut us a tremendously great deal and knew exactly what we needed. He sure knows his inventory! Melvin helped complete all the paperwork for us at our signing same as last year. He is a very cool guy that makes the process crazy fast and easy. He got us the deal we were looking for without a bunch of hassle after we'd driven all the way to Redlands from Menifee to see a different Traverse that turned out to have a huge gash in tge left rear quartepanel. (Redlands Cdjr). We left there disappointed they weren't willing to fix it or work with us. Hate to say this place really disappointed. Came in with honesty and looking for find something reasonable. This place is like a toxic first marriage. They promise you great things and you're met w mediocrity. Did a bait and switch w me and when I called them out. They ran inside to hide. The salesman who helped me blames the floor manager and the floor manager says his boss didn't tell him anything until we got there. Make us leave work early by lying and saying we got approved for the car we wanted and came in to find two lemon cars with bad miles and engine problems and they were NOTHING like what I was looking for. Offered a one-time brake fix (new pads and rotors) on a NEW truck.. Brake warranty only lasts 7500 miles.. WOW! Blamed it on not being able to use copper in the brake pads anymore, but why doesn't every new car on the road have loud squeaking brakes??? Brakes continue to squeak from the first day with 'new' brakes. Three service visits and three terrible unsatisfied trips. DO NOT buy from Tom Bell and if you do, DO NOT take your vehicle here for service. Warning: DO NOT purchase any sort of extended warranty/package because you'll be stuck having to take your truck here for all services. Not valid at other Chevy dealerships. read more

Avoid this place like the plague if you can help it. They tried to charge me over $900 for breaks, over $1k for a 100,000 mile tune up, $1,600 for a bad ballast (I purchased one online for $49) for my driver side headlight and another handful of "recommended" maintenance services that totaled over $6k! Not only will I not be taking my Chevy here again, sadly I will not be purchasing another Chevy. Ever. Again. So disappointing how they are trying to shake down honest American people. Extremely Disappointing Service Experience at Tom Bell My recent experience at Tom Bell's service department was extremely disappointing. I initially brought my vehicle in for a routine oil change and was told by Brian (service advisor) that there might be an oil or transmission leak. We agreed to bring the car back on a weekday so a technician could properly inspect it. What followed was unacceptable. It took over a month for the dealership to return our vehicle. When we finally got it back, the interior was filthy and our floor mats had been rolled up and thrown inside the car. There's far more that happened throughout this frustrating process, but I'll spare the details. Bottom line: if you're expecting fast, respectful, or even remotely professional service from Tom Bell's service department--don't. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for quality automotive care or customer service. read more

The guy was with other people and I had to wait for that person someone else could not help me. When he finally was fone it was 10 minutes late. money hungry thief's!!. do not send your car here unless you want shotty work. please review my 571$ "BRAND NEW RIM" i really am very disappointed with the lack in care i received from EDDIE. he was extremely rude when i voiced my frustration with their company/the work they provide. don't work in customer service if you can't work with customers. he didn't want to take any accountability and tried to place blame on everyone else.... two visits later & my car still is not acceptable... review the photos of my brand new rim and let that speak for itself... they even tried to say "maybe" it got damaged in transportation. why would there be red curb paint if it got damaged in transportation?! and why would you paint over the black if it happened during transportation. they really tried to put a used rim on my car and pass it as new. currently putting together a portfolio to send the the BAR in regards to there work/care. i hope they are HEAVILY investigated. cassandra has been the only saving grace in this situation and i truly appreciate her. i will follow up when i finally finish my terrible experience with them to let yall know how they did.... headed back there for a third time in 1 week tomorrow..... completely unacceptable. read more

Bought a car here recently and the buying experience was great. That being said the service side of this place is extremely disappointing. I had an appointment to drop off my vehicle for paint/clearcoat correction on the gas cap panel only. I show up a few minutes early and walk up to the dealer side. This is my first (and only) time taking my vehicle for service here and was unaware I had to go to the opposite side of the building. One of the salesmen explained this to me and I was grateful for the directions. I get to the service side and park my vehicle. Walk right up to one of the service employees and tell him i'm here for an appointment. He looks at me almost confused and directs me into the service offices. I walk in, there is only one person already helping a customer so I walk to the service/parts counter. I tell the employee about the appointment and he hits me with "oh if it's for bodywork or paint it's a different location". I immediately get confused because on the confirmed appointment information sent through email and text both show this same address. He told me to go ask another service worker to see where i'm actually supposed to go. Needless to say I just walked out. Its not worth leaving my car here for them to attempt the correction that's not even guaranteed to come out proper. After reading some of the other reviews it seems this dealership needs help in the service department. Sales side is great. read more

I would not recommend Tom Bell Chevy in Redlands at all. I called in to get a part for my Suburban, and the lady on the phone told me it would be $95 and that they had it in stock. When I asked why the same part was only $55 at the dealership in San Bernardino, she responded, "That's our price. If it's cheaper there, you can get it from them." Honestly, that was all I needed to hear. I spent $4 on gas to drive to San Bernardino, where I got the part for half the price. Best $4 I've ever spent. I won't be buying anything from Tom Bell Chevy with customer service like that. It's really disappointing when a dealership is so dismissive and doesn't even try to keep a customer happy. Get ready for your call to be answered by a very creepy Artificial Intelligence receptionist named "Alex" who doesn't explain to you from the get-go that it is Artificial Intelligence. At first I thought Alex was rather slow, or even a little bit drunk, and then it dawned on me that I was forced to interact with a machine instead of a living, breathing person. I flat out asked, "Is this a person, or AI?" and I got a very cheerful explanation about "Alex" being AI. All I could think about was the movie "2001" and Hal saying, "I'm sorry Dave." Ugh. THIS is customer service?! If this is how this dealership treats potential customers who call, I'll go somewhere else. I hung up and found another dealership where a friendly and upbeat PERSON answered the phone. read more

Took my Camaro in on Friday and it took 45 minutes for them to even start despite an appointment. They quoted me $1200 worth of work needed doing, brake fluid, transmission fluid, etc pretty simple stuff. To change the transmission fluid alone was going to cost me $600, so I just had an oil change and left. I went straight to Pep boys who did the transmission for $302 so half price. I'm annoyed that they absolutely tried to rip me off, but also can't understand why they seemed happy to let me leave with just an oil change. I guess they are trawling for people who just don't know better? read more

I've tried to trust and rely on Tom Bell, but each service becomes worse and worse. Terrible communication, unorganized, takes a long time to service anything and does not offer a shuttle after 12. An oil change should NOT exceed an hour, let alone 4 hours. Workers aren't on the same page, each quoted me different amounts. They scheduled me an appointment, where someone from the dealer called me, confirmed appointment and service. When I arrived, they stated they were not gonna have time to do it and that they did not have the part, despite someone confirming the entire appointment beforehand. complete waste of time. Very disappointing as I love my Chevy Cruze and wish to rely on the Chevy to be reliable. read more

Get rid of AI phone answering. Called Fri. was told to come in and they could put a battery in my car if needed. I asked specifically if battery could be replaced that eve. I was told yes.Drove 1 hr. In rush hr traffic. Got there at 5pm as instructed but was told when I got there they had no mechanic. They offered to take the truck in and check it out the following Mon! This was a huge waste of my 2 hrs. Travel time and it will not happen to me again. Not being able to talk to a person is often counterproductive as this experience was. There are a great number of shops that dont attempt to circumvent personal communication with customers pr frustrate them with AI. Im sure they can service my vehicles also. read more

Management needs to learn a thing or two about respect and ethics. When trying to discuss a safety hazard with the broken windshield affecting the price, we were told that the price is the price. "Maybe this isn't the truck for you" Maybe Tom Bell Chevrolet just doesn't want to make money... asking top end dollar on blue book but having vision obscuring broken windshield and plenty cosmetic damages should give some flexibility for an 8 year old vehicle. Not only was Jimbo rude and spoke over my husband but didn't have the decency to shake our hands when we could not make the deal work. Just got up from the table and walked away. Instead of thanking us for bringing him potential business or even giving the keys back for our appraisal, he left. Upon going back in to get the keys Jimbo did think it was necessary to discuss the interaction of our conversation with the whole lobby. Super unprofessional, we weren't willing to spend a "little bit more" on a used car and we are glad you forgot to give us our keys so we could see the integrity of your character. Unfortunately for you guys at Tom Bell, there's a 2500 upgrade needing to happen in the family soon too, but they will not be coming your way... If you are not experienced in purchasing a vehicle this is not the place to begin your search. This location is shady and not worth wasting your time. I booked an appointment online for my 2011 Chevy Malibu with Tom Bell Chevrolet of Redlands. I wanted to have my AC an Suspension systems checked. My appointment was confirmed by both email an text, well about 10 minutes later I get a call from the dealership letting me know they wouldn't be able to inspect my car. I was told the service manager implemented a policy not to service cars 10yrs or older. If this is the case they need to fix their booking system so customers don't waste their time booking appointments which are confirmed only to than get canceled. read more

I really want to like this dealership as it is close by and I like supporting local businesses, but I have been in twice and the same game. I am totally upfront, I explain the situation, that I don't want to waste their time or my time, and I give them an honest price I can pay. I ask for a ballpark price, I can run monthly numbers pretty easy, but instead we ended up waiting for more than an hour and the numbers they finally provide aren't even close to what I told them. I get it, a final number requires running credit, but the dealer knows incentives and msrp, they know their sticker price, they can give a rough estimate sooner and save everyone time. Today was even worse as I came in specially for the current 0% financing and the numbers they showed me were for something else, because the rate was only good on 2024 models and we test drive a 2025. There was a 2024 literally right next to it, and basically the same car, but they couldn't be bothered to tell us this and wanted to run numbers again for a 2024. I didn't bother giving them the time and I doubt I will be back. There are too many other Chevy options. read more

Just keeps repeating herself. Call to ask for a human - you get a voicemail. Insane!! If I didn't have a Chevy under warranty I wouldn't go there! They suck! Too bad Tom retired...when I was younger we had amazing service there. He retired and it all went down hill. No positive legacy for him. Disappointing. read more

I would like to thank Marlene, our salesperson, who took the time to listen to us and was very helpful throughout the process. Unfortunately, I am giving a four-star rating due to issues with the finance department. Marlene informed them that I didn't want my credit and my daughter's credit to be run, as we were already approved through our bank and had a certified check loan ready. However, the finance person proceeded to run our credit without our permission. When I inquired about it, he dismissed my concerns, saying it wouldn't hurt our credit scores. Additionally, he made us feel rushed when reviewing our contract, and we did not receive a hard copy of either our contract or our credit report. Besides the new Colorado Trail Boss that we purchased, the sales team was aware that we were also interested in trading in our 2022 Z71 Silverado. Due to the negative experience with the finance department, we ultimately decided to go to another Chevy dealership to trade it in. The service department is terrible, actually "service" should be removed, it's a misnomer. Lack of communication, don't respond to messages left, give false information. Have had to return my vehicle 3 times for the same issue! Get it back and in 2 weeks or less it's towed back for the issue. I've even contacted GMC, to get them involved. Been coming here for a few years but the last month has been terrible, I went in for a leak at the end of November, my truck was there for about a week, the leak was "fixed", the evening I picked it up, my break sensor goes out, I call back and they get me in for a re-check, my truck spends some more time there, when I get a call back I'm told I need to replace my breaks and also that my truck is still leaking, it's spends some more time there again, I finally get it back, some days go by and my check engine light goes on, I take it back for another re-check because according to them it's best to make sure it has nothing to do with the initial problem, I make an appointment for another re-check but im told it had nothing to do with the leak eventhough it still hasn't been checked, I leave my truck overnight again...when I'm called I'm told I have to repair an internal sensor which cost $2000, im charged for a disgnostic when I return, I get my truck back and get second opinion only to be told they can't touch it until the dealer fixes the horrible job they did on the leak. Not sure if this is protocol but it doesn't seem like they put much effort into fixing it, THE SECOND TIME AROUND!!! According to GM the dealer has to fix this, so I'm going back in tomorrow, will be back to give an update read more
