I went here about 4 years ago to fix a small issue. They did a full inspection which I didnt ask for but it was free. They gave me a bill for $10,000 on a 2012 nissan rogue that had 100k mileage on it. The bill was for repairs other than what i went for such leakage and stuff. Avoid Riverside Nissan - Deceptive Practices & Horrible Customer Service I'm absolutely done with Riverside Nissan's service department. If you care about honesty, transparency, and basic customer service, then avoid this dealership at all costs. On February 8, 2025, I brought my 2022 Nissan Altima in for its 30,000-mile service. I received a $50 off coupon in the mail, labeled for "major service." Nowhere on this coupon did it state that it was only valid if I purchased every single service recommended--the only instruction was to consult a service advisor. I did exactly that, and after carefully selecting the necessary services (oil change & transmission service totaling $429.90), I was denied the discount by Esteban Leyva. He claimed I needed to purchase all the recommended services for it to apply. Nowhere was this stated on the coupon. Frustrated by this bait-and-switch tactic, I reached out to Service Manager Fernando Alcaraz via email on February 9, 2025, asking for an explanation. Four days later, I have received no response. No apology. No clarification. Absolutely nothing. That alone speaks volumes about how this dealership views its customers. But here's what really sent me over the edge. After all that arguing with Esteban about the $50 coupon, I checked Riverside Nissan's own website, and guess what I found? A "Build Your Own Coupon" offer, stating that any service purchase between $400-$599 qualifies for a $50 discount. My total was $429.90--meaning I was 100% eligible for this discount. Yet, Esteban conveniently failed to mention it, effectively overcharging me. At this point, this isn't just a mistake--it's dishonest business practice. Customers should not have to fight to use valid coupons or be subjected to deception when bringing their vehicles in for service. I tried to resolve this professionally through the service manager, but since I've been ignored, corporate may be my only option. If this is how Riverside Nissan operates--ignoring complaints, misleading customers, and refusing to honor their own promotions--then I strongly advise anyone reading this to take their business elsewhere. There are plenty of dealerships that will actually respect their customers, honor their word, and not try to scam you over a measly $50. I'd like to share my experience for other customers to be cautious doing business with Riverside Nissan. Especially being a woman that may not be as knowledgeable as a man and vehicle repairs. However,, I have Been a customer for many years now I followed a master technician to Riverside Nissan because he's been working on my car for the last nine years years. And he has done excellent job and keeping my car running wonderfully And smoothly and anything that has been needed has been replaced with OEM parts. My last experience was with a different technician because my master technician was no longer working at Riverside Nissan. The problem started when I started to hear a noise going over speed bumps, and I decided to take it in to Riverside Nissan I was advised that I needed to replace the front struts and I did replace them. But shortly after a few weeks I started driving the vehicle and noticed driving over the speed bumps , the I still was hearing the same noises I heard prior to having it repaired. So the problem was never fixed. And I paid almost $2k and still had the same noise going over the speed bumps. It's sad I paid all that money to replace struts , which was not necessary if I'm still hearing the noise, right. Well, I went back. I would say at least four different times. I also had a problem with my steering wheel. It was not centered and I was advised that everything was OK, which was not OK. I'm just very disappointed. The manager and the owner did not seem to care about anything and said he didn't believe anything I was saying. The owner, Thomas was very rude and inconsiderate and uncaring of the situation. He didn't try to make any type of effort to assist me considering I've been a loyal customer for many many years. read more

Got my windows tinted and paid to have the oil change while it was in Nissan Metros hands. The tint has some bubbles in it but I guess I should let the 3-5 days pass before fully judging. The service department people were still great and friendly. Helped me with renting a vehicle for the day $45 and whatever gas you need to refill. I was able to bring my 2 year old with me and was able to get things done with ease. My only note about the oil change was that I did not receive an updated sticker and still had the old one from Orange Nissan. I called about it but never got to speak to my service rep about it. If I could give this dealership and their finance staff 0 stars I would!!! They say anything to get you to purchase and then slap you in the face with fees. They talk to you about the extras in the vehicle (as if they are already installed), but what they don't tell you is that they are optional!!!! Yet they add it to your car before signing the deal so that they can now say well it's included and you're stuck with it. I was just trying to get an understanding of my contract i asked why the optional features were added without my consent and since they were optional I didn't want them. Then Mesh in finance had the nerve to offend me and stated "you have no value in your signature, and that is not my problem" who the hell speaks to their customer that way!?!? 1. Features were added to the car while they were "washing it" (a clear coat called cilajet, and a theft protection device) 2. They added the fees without our consent before signing a contract 3. The contract states they are optional She then stated that the clear coat was added and it's so the paint doesn't chip. Guess what?!? 2 days and it's chipped!! She said I could take it in to get it fixed, THEN another finance rep came in and said no that the coat doesn't cover it and it only covers for discoloration! On 12/30/24 I walked into the dealership for a test drive. The receptionist promptly hooked me up with Sergio who I explained to that I had a dealer website offer for a $50 Visa Reward Card for test driving a Nissan Arriya. Sergio was very cool and friendly and provided very good customer service as we did the test drive. Even though I wasn't ready to buy at this time, I was still treated with respect without a lot of salesman pressure. Afterwards, he turned me over to Assistant Manager Cesar to complete the promotional offer. After about 10 minutes, Cesar told me and showed me that he was having technical difficulties with the redemption website but assured me that he was contacting support to resolve the issue and would follow up with me. True to his word, Cesar contacted me a couple days later and told me the issue was resolved and I did indeed receive the promotional reward that day. I was very impressed that Cesar did indeed follow up with me even though I wasn't purchasing at this time. When I am ready to buy, however, I will gladly return here as I had a very positive experience! read more

I had a Nissan Versa SV 2019 & I decided it was time to upgrade my car. I came into the dealership 04/17 & immediately fell in love with the Nissan Versa SV 2020. We started the process of signing papers & credit check etc. The guy who ran my credit saw my credit history saw that I had two vehicles on my credit (Nissan & Kia) etc. I ended up leaving with the Nissan Versa SV 2020 & received a call (04/21) from Bayron stating they could lower my monthly payment & that they would like for me to come in. I ended up coming in (04/29) & was informed by Carlos that after the bank reviewed my paycheck stub, & my credit history they withdrew there offer. So as I'm sitting at Nissan the guy states that I have a couple options.. 1. I can have someone co-sign for me who has equal or better credit than I do 2. I can put down $3,800 (not adding the 1,000 that I'm having to put down as it is) I informed him that I'm not interested he then goes on to say that I don't have an option. I either find a co-signer or the down payment & if not I will have to return the vehicle & they'll give me my old vehicle back & give me additional money because my old car would considered a late payment & will also give me the down payment that I gave them. Let's not mention that the contract states,"Sellers Right to Cancel. B.Seller shall give you written notice (or in any other manner in which actual notice given to you) within 10 days of the date this contract is signed if seller elects to cancel. Upon receipt of such notice, you must immediately return the vehicle to seller in the same condition as when sold, reasonable wear & tear expected. Seller must give back to you all consideration received by Seller, including any trade-in vehicle" **NOTE I have NOT received a written notice in the mail within the 10 days stating that the bank has withdrawn etc** I do not advise anyone coming here to get a car. Just know that if you do get a car through them more than likely they'll call you & tell you to bring it back!!!! **UPDATE 05/02** Went down to Nissan of Riverside today & talked to Bayron. They were able to lower the payment but was still wanting $1,800 on top of the $1,000 that I was putting down. Needless to say I'm going to take back the new car & get my old car back, get my down payment back & take my ass to Hyundai so they can give me $500 off because I'm a healthcare worker (a deal they have going on right now) & be able to defer my payments up to 3 months (another deal they have going on) & give me the customer service I deserve. Let me just update y'all before this day... After my boyfriend & I went in on 04/29 (11 days after signing the contract) Carlos Martinez stated they sent a letter stating they withdrew there offer & needed the vehicle back..My boyfriend & I informed him that we HAVE NOT RECEIVED A LETTER IN THE MAIL. I come home from work 05/01 & received the letter a letter stating they withdrew there offer & canceled the contract. The envelope was post dated on 04/29 which means Carlos Martinez sent the notice out the day my boyfriend & I informed him that we have not received the letter. Can I just tell you that what he did was "breach of contract" which is against the law!!!! I talked to a lawyer who stated we have a case but I'm choosing to return the car & take my SERVICE ELSEWHERE!!!!! I'm never coming back & I'll never be a customer of there's. Unethical and Dishonest! My elderly parents were recommended this dealership from Costco, as part of their Auto Program, but apparently Costco doesn't know what this dealership is actually doing. Pricing is supposed to be at least as good as sticker and NO HAGGLE, but they immediately told my parents that this price would be BETTER THAN Costco and never showed them the Costco price. As we asked questions, the salesman would repeatedly point out how clean the car was with NO DINGS OR DENTS (which wasn't true, but everything appeared minor). He also promised to get us answers (easily Googled) to specific maintenance questions but never did. When we came to negotiate--and yes, we had to negotiate, as they'd added in about $4000 more to the sticker price--and we asked for the final number, we were told it would depend on how we were paying. NOPE! The final amount doesn't depend on where the money is coming from, that's the number you negotiate so everyone comes out happy. We were also insisting on a CarFax--something every other dealer we've been to either already has ready, or quickly provides It's even on their website for this vehicle!). Not these salesmen at Riverside Nissan. They tried several times to handwave away or not get the information. When we insisted, It was clear they didn't like what they saw, because they tried to not show us the fax, and, of course, the car had been in an accident. "Any car can be in an accident," the salesman tried to tell us, but that's hardly the point. That information should be disclosed so everyone can make an informed decision. They clearly wanted to hide that from us. We politely told them we couldn't make a deal on this vehicle, and SUDDENLY all the fees they were trying to add into the price magically disappeared in a last ditch effort to keep us from leaving or, I guess, not writing reviews about them. No thanks. We don't want to buy damaged goods from a dishonest and unethical dealership. UPDATE: I received the invitation from the dealership to discuss the negative review, responded, and never heard back. It appears to be an attempt to make it look like they're genuinely concerned about customer service, when they have no intention of following-up or making any changes. read more

Once I found the list of numbers on the website, trying to reach the parts department, my attempt was unsuccessful. The line rang, and then went silent. Tried calling again, line rang multiple times, and then was disconnected. Tried calling service, also unsuccessful, same issue. Made an attempt at reaching sales, wash rinse repeat, same issue, line rang once, and then silence. Understaffed or unreliable phone system incapable of holding calls, either way, disappointed and frustrated. Update your systems, hire more staff, or get better management. Customers simply deserve assistance. Now I understand it's a few days after a holiday, and that doesn't mean you can't be prepared. read more
