Don't allow them to convince you to buy any ins. especially EXPRESS FIVE coverage. It doesn't cover anything that was expressed to me when I purchased it and what it does cover you could just use your ins. (Ins. required by law anyway) or your AAA. If a rim can no longer be used that most likely means you were in an accident. They don't cover any scratches (a car barely scratched my vehicle) they won't cover any dents with paint damage or over 2 inches. I could easily use it for that but it's pointless. Someone opened their door and hit me when I wasn't around. Save your money or question the language used by sales. It's a small amount but it's adds up for all those who can't use it. Someone makes money. Ps even though I haven't used all the miles my vehicles isn't worth anything the balance is more than the value. I won't be buying it at the end of the lease. Upadte: appearance/ paint coverage is ONLY environmental coverage. 2 separate cost for each coverage sold. Sales rep said I could use these coverages before turning in my vehicle so that I'm not charged for any damages. Swore they were good for when you have a lease. read more

The best car-buying customer service I have ever experienced. From the moment I arrived at the dealership for the first time, Monae was there to help. She was kind, informative, and made sure I felt comfortable while helping me choose the car I wanted. She never came off as pushy or aggressive, which I really appreciated. Although I didn't buy a car that day, she gladly gave me her number in case I had any questions. The next day, I was so excited that I texted her at 7 in the morning! She replied within 5 minutes and immediately got to work on finding me the car I wanted. If you choose to do your business here, make sure you fully inspect every aspect of your vehicle before purchasing. There Service department could not believe a vehicle was offered for sale in this condition. I would 100% not recommend buying a used vehicle from this dealership, they will not honor damages to the vehicle. My trunk has holes in it from the license plate not being mounted properly, it is littered with dents, and they don't even want to cover a $25 broken air vent. My vehicle is still in fleet mode with MyNet, and they have no answer for that. I did not get to inspect the vehicle, they pulled my vehicle from the backlot at 8:30 pm before it was even ready to be put up for sale. This is abysmal treatment of a paying customer. Out of good faith Carl in the service department is working with me to attempt to make it right. Sales floor is no help after you leave the dealership. They've made their money and that's that. I leased a 2024 Volkswagen ID.4 in January and have been dealing with ongoing electrical issues ever since. After multiple calls to Volkswagen Customer Care, I was finally instructed to schedule a service appointment at any dealership to have the car looked at, and I was explicitly told that I would be provided with a loaner vehicle while mine was being serviced. Following these instructions, I contacted Riverside Volkswagen to set up the appointment. To my surprise, I was told by their staff that they would first need to "run it by the service manager" before even confirming an appointment or providing a loaner. That is not what the customer care representative said. I'm now caught between conflicting information from Volkswagen's corporate support and the dealership, and I'm no closer to getting my vehicle repaired or a safe alternative to drive in the meantime. This kind of disorganized and dismissive treatment is unacceptable. I have communicated my experience back to the customer care team, but I've received no resolution. Frankly, I feel misled and ignored. The car feels unsafe to drive, and the lack of consistent support from Volkswagen has only worsened the situation. Took me two days to even get my appointment in for an alignment and inspection which was advertised on their website. When i went in was told there was only one tech that could do alignments and that i should come back 3-4 days later. I ended up waiting and the alignment was good but there was absolutely no inspection done on my car: i was told by my advisor "yeah he looked at it and said it looked good nothing to worry about" Never heard of a professional inspection doing that way but i will definitely not be going back to here. I recently took my car to the VW Dealer in Riverside for an oil change and coolant service. The service seemed great at first, and I was told everything was fine. However, ever since, my car has been making a whining noise and isn't shifting smoothly when accelerating. Please read All. I brought in my 2010 VW beetle with 87,000 miles which has consistently been taken in for an engine oil change and transmission service, well taken care of. I took the car into this dealership for the first time (metro auto group- riverside VW) for a basic oil change and transmission service. Couple days later, I left the dealership and drove down the road. I started hearing some odd noises then the dash lights started coming on. I didn't know what was going on so I turned around and headed back to the dealer. The service tech took the car in the service bay and I watched him work on the car for an extensive amount of time. In frustration I walked into the service bay and watched over the technician as he put over 5 quarts of oil into the engine. Obviously the technician forgot to put oil into my engine and let me leave the dealer with zero oil. I told the service supervisor that he destroyed my engine and caused major wear to key components lifters, bearings, cam all internal components because no oil. The dealer states that "the engine is perfect" and to remove my vehicle immediately off their premises otherwise it's going to be considered an abandoned vehicle. After multiple conversations with management at the dealership and with the Metro Auto Group management they will do absolutely nothing to take responsibility of the engine damage this dealership has caused to my vehicle. They ruined my engine and told me everything is perfect, all lies!! Buyer, service customer, trade in persons all be aware! Do not do business with this shady dealership, they have horrible customer service from management staff to service bay. They will not take responsibility for the mistakes they have made! I realized I needed the first service on my Tiguan done before an ucoming trip and called in to see if there would be any chance of getting in the same day for it. Please do not buy from this dealer. My daughter bought her first new car from them, a 2024 Taos. She has been adamant about her regular service visits. Now, one year after buying the car and just 2 weeks after her last service visit, the car got a "low coolant" light. She filled the car and took it directly to the dealership. After one day, service called her and said "there are no leaks, you can come pick it up." After we pushed the dealership with questions like "If it didn't leak out, where did it go?" we initially got responses like "air pocket". It took some additional calls for not only 2 people from the dealership to admit, but also a representative from Volkswagen to admit, that this model is known for "puking coolant" and the problem being a faulty head gasket. Knowing this and admitting it, they refuse to fix or replace the car. We have had the owner call us and threaten us to return the rental car and pickup our car or "it won't be good for us." I have never experienced a dealership know about an issue, and be so defiant about resolving it. Their solution is to "keep filling it up with coolant and wait for it to happen again." No lights on dash except tire needed air which my initial paperwork indicated. Car had no issues. Update was suppose to take 4 hours but was finished in 2....When they finished with it ecp light was on and car was shutting off at acceleration and had little power. Saturday, rolled up got my service writer was new but his professionalism made up for that, even though I was technically a waiter, he kept me updated on the status of the oil change as well as asking me if I wanted my car washed afterwards. Word to the wise, unless you don't care about your car, do not have it washed especially with those machines. Nothing says I hate my car more than subjecting it to the whip machine. Anyway, they have a window where you can watch the techs working and I was able to watch the tech do my oil change and tire rotation. Let me tell you, this guy is as detailed as me when it comes to performing these tasks. He even went as far as wiping down my engine bath with a shop rag so there wasn't any dust on things. This place is trash and overpriced. I took my vehicle in to get serviced and the technicians didn't even attempt to try to fix it because they couldn't open the hood of the car. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle I was still going to be charged after I had already plugged into the car with a code reader and told them what to look into. They were going to charge me for them to plug in their code reader and then not fix anything because "the hood did not open". When I arrived I walked outside and popped the damn hood first try with no issues with an office rep next to me. Luckily the office guy was agreeable and spoke to his manager to not charge me for the service. However, if I never went outside and showed the rep I would've been basically robbed blind by vw. This of course lead me to have to use their rental from Mazda for an extended period of time (and hutch I was not compensated for) and even got charged for a flat tire that was given to me in horrible condition to begin with. I know this because my brother is a tire technician and owns his own business and he explained to me that the tire that they gave me was trash already, and also they allowed me to drive out of the lot with a tire pressure light on!! I checked the pressures and when I had left they were ok, but the tire must have already been going bad and they filled it up without resetting the tire pressure light. Don't get me started on Maurice. This guy has trash customer experience all the way around as does the owner of this location because I spoke to him too and he sucked. Do NOT buy or rent from this location. They don't take their customers serious and they don't deserve your hard earned money. Go elsewhere. read more

My check coolant light came on last week. I made an appointment with my local dealership but was told there weren't any appointments available until the following week. I decided to see for myself just how much coolant I had as I have places to go and I didn't want anything to happen while I was on the road. Since I was in Riverside, I stopped by the parts department to see if they had coolant for my Tiguan, they did, and Esteban put it in for me. I can't tell you how relieved I was getting the coolant added. I was down about an inch of coolant. I had my car serviced in April with my local dealership, and the box was checked as "good" for that particular service. I'm not too happy about that. My experience with this dealership and VW in general is sub par. Well, they are not the worst, I will not go back unless absolutely necessary, will not buy another car from them, and will not recommend them to anyone. Here is the list: 1) I was told that I could put a bike rack on this vehicle but when I did, the car slams on the brakes unless the bike rack is tilted down with no bikes on it. No one warned me of this and when I called the dealership to talk about it they said there is no fix. The software for a higher model includes a workaround for that, but my model doesn't. Volkswagen created a dangerous situation because the brakes slam so hard it nearly gives you whiplash, and now I have to shut off my rear cameras in order to back up when I'm taking my bike around. 2) I asked when I bought the vehicle if it used a heat pump for the heater and was told that it does. It does not. The hands-free screen feature is really only a minor "wake up "for the screen and not something you can just wave your hands in front of and use like they tried to say. 3) When making an appointment online for my EV, there is nothing that said that I had to schedule for a certain time of day. I made my appointment and got a call the day of to say that my vehicle would have to stay there and wouldn't be diagnosed till the next day unless I rescheduled for a specific time. Not OK. 4) They will give you a Lyft, but there are no loaner cars. Rentals are first come first served and not available while you're waiting for a diagnosis. My diagnosis and response from Volkswagen took until the next day. Not sure what someone is supposed to do if they don't have any other vehicle and don't hear anything until the next day. My service advisor said there was nothing he could do and he could not reserve a car for me because they are first come first served. Seems to me like I was there "first" since my vehicle was in their shop. So I'm supposed to sit there at the dealership all day long and wait for somebody to turn a car in? Makes absolutely no sense. 5) The vehicle constantly logs me out. It doesn't affect driving except that if you are logged out the automatic SOS response will not connect. I am paying for a feature that does not work. The first time, I contacted Volkswagen directly and was told that the people who work on this will take 7-10 days to fix it and will not contact me when it's done. Poor form, VW. The second time, I brought it to the dealership along with another complaint. The dealership couldn't fix it and had to wait until the next day to even get a word back from VW. Replacing a part will supposedly fix the issue. 6) The vehicle charging changed for me. The cable locks into the charging port, and I used to be able to get into the driver seat, press the menu to stop charging and it would release the cable. Now I have to use my vehicle remote to unlock all the doors to unlock the cable from the port. My service advisor tried to gaslight me into believing that this is a safety feature. Are you really trying to tell me that unlocking every door in the vehicle is a safety feature? Some of the charging stations are in sketchy locations, so unlocking all doors at night in the dark in those places when the business is closed is "safe"? Do better. 7) I was told that I would be contacted when the part came in. It's been over a week, and I haven't heard a word. I did, however, receive an email that I had an appointment without anyone consulting me to see if I could actually make that appointment date and time. When I called the dealership, they said they had to have an appointment scheduled in order to be able to order the part. Makes no sense. Now I'm receiving emails saying that I missed an appointment. How is this place even in business? How are you going to schedule an appointment for me without knowing whether or not I can make it? So here I am, still waiting to hear from the dealership about a part with my car still logged out. The vehicle itself is the only thing preventing this from being one star. read more
