What happens is you buy the tire warranty and you have to come back to the store to get it changed out. What happens if you are out of town and there is no tire store that is in their network. They ordered the tire and 4 days later. I get a call, the tire is ready. I get there and they have slapped on a hundred dollars in charges. Balance and mounted plus you are required to get a new warranty on that tire. He saw when I first pulled up the tire, it was replaced already. I told them I don't need warranty, but they said they have to charge me for the warranty on the new tire! I would advise not going to these places! Go to your mom and pops place. AAA responded promptly and professionally, towing my vehicle to America Tires in Redland, where the employees again demonstrated professionalism and replaced my tires efficiently. Overall, I am very impressed. Now, all four of my vehicles have tires from America Tires; both of my Teslas are well serviced, and the other two gasoline-powered cars are being taken care of as well.

Since I purchased all four tires and the warranty through Discount Tire, I expected the issue to be straightforward. My expectation was simple: inspect the tire, determine whether it qualified under the warranty, and explain the findings honestly. Instead, I received multiple, conflicting explanations over the course of two days. The first phone call informed me that all four of my tires were low on tread and needed to be replaced. I explained that all four tires had been purchased from Discount Tire and that I had also purchased the warranty. I reminded them that I came in because one rear tire was losing air, not because all four tires were worn out. I was then placed on hold. When the representative returned, the explanation completely changed. I was told they had accidentally inspected another Mercedes-Benz of the same color and that my vehicle was actually fine. The problem with that explanation is that I was sitting in the parking lot during that phone call. I could see the vehicles on the lot, and I did not observe another Mercedes-Benz matching mine. Whether there was an internal mix-up or something else, the explanation simply did not make sense based on what I personally observed. When I arrived before closing to pick up my vehicle, the explanation changed again. I was then told the replacement tire needed to be ordered. The following day, I received another phone call. This time I was told the tire would not be covered because I had not had an alignment performed after purchasing the tires. I was then asked if I wanted to purchase both a replacement tire and an alignment. By the end of the process, I had received four different explanations for the same warranty claim: All four tires needed replacement. My vehicle had been confused with another Mercedes-Benz. The replacement tire needed to be ordered. The warranty would not be honored because an alignment had not been performed. At that point, the issue was no longer about the tire it was about trust. I don't mind being told "no" if the decision is supported by the written warranty and explained honestly. What I do mind is receiving a different explanation every time I speak with someone. That makes it very difficult to have confidence in the recommendations being made or to believe that my warranty claim was handled consistently. I have submitted a formal complaint to Discount Tire Corporate requesting a review of this matter and an explanation of the written policy used to deny my claim. As of the date of this review, I have not received a response. I will update this review to reflect how Discount Tire responds and whether the company stands behind its warranty and customer service. I also intend to document and share my experience on social media so other consumers can make informed decisions based on the outcome. I genuinely hope I can update this review with a positive resolution. Right now, however, I cannot recommend this location based on my experience.

I get that we cannot expect actual mechanics working at a drive through oil place, but at least have competent individuals that don't look like their lunch hour was spent swinging from trees while picking fleas off eachother! Not anymore! $200.00 for a 50 cent fuse!!! My engine light was on. I told Plus One that it's for a system that speeds up engine warming in cold climates. Not necessary in SoCal but I needed it to power up to pass the smog test. They said it needed a fuse. Diagnostic Fee: $200.00 Dollars! I purchased four travel trailer tires from PLUS 1 PERFORMANCE at a cost of over $600.00. About 1,000 miles later one of them blew up on the highway in Texas! After being reamed for the fuse I'd had enough of these guys! I asked for a refund for the tire, THEY STILL BILLED ME FOR MOUNTING AND BALANCING! For a tire that blew up in two days on the road! And BTW not one balance weight on any of the tires.

We got both of our cars done here after getting a set of new tires for both cars, and now roughly 6 months later both of our cars have SEVERE balding on the inside of the tires. Wires exposed, tread gone, balding. We never would have seen this if I hadn't need to take my car in for a break and lamp inspection; this could have killed us. Prior to this, we had our alignments done elsewhere and they also didn't do a good job, it wasn't perfect but it wasn't great. We suspect that this business took our money and didn't do a single thing to our cars, just robbed us. We took our cars to the much more reputable Synder's Tires here in crestline; it was more expensive but we got a complete report of how terribly aligned my car was, something Plus One didn't do. Provided are photos and evidence of how mismanaged my car was. I repeat- this could have killed us.
