Manager Fran did not want to do a price match because she did not want to wait on hold, on the phone.

What a scam. Don't have your car worked on here…read more The radiator in our second car (an older sedan) recently sprung a leak and left my wife stranded on the freeway. It ended up at Pep Boys 'cause that's where the tow company provided by our insurance company's roadside assistance dropped it off. She authorized them to diagnose it, but didn't agree to any work until she could check with me, and it's a good thing she didn't. When I got home later and went down and see what was up with the car they said it needed a new radiator. I was unsurprised at this, as her description of what went wrong with the car led me to believe it was likely a coolant leak of some sort. At least they were honest about that much. Then they showed me the quote to replace it. It was over $700 dollars, and included such gems in the detailed estimate as $82 for "radiator drain and fill pkg", 'cause apparently the $312 to "remove & replace radiator" doesn't include draining and filling? They wanted to charge me $223 for a radiator. I got a new OEM radiator for $95. $24 radiator cap? $16 at O'Reilly's. And then there's the extra $53 for "limited extended labor warranty", 'cause apparently they won't stand by their work unless they can gouge you for it first. I said f*** that noise, paid them their $50 diagnostic fee, and drove it home. I'm, a non-pro, shade tree mechanic doing the work in my driveway, and did the job in less than 2 hours (A job that would probably take a pro an hour or less.) for a little over $100 in parts. I don't see how that's $700+ worth of work. I shudder to think how many people who know nothing about their cars are getting scammed by this shop.

Noah was easy-going, polite, friendly, and fair...I know sales people have a job to do and Noah did the best job possible balancing being a businessman and demonstrating excellent and personal customer service. He also went above and beyond to make sure we felt taken care of at every point of the process. It's easy to feel like a "customer" at some of the bigger, corporate dealerships. Redlands CDJR felt much more cozy and down-to-earth, and Noah's mellow, no pressure energy helped us to drive away very satisfied in our new purchase.

Reposting my review with the recent revelations of events that have occurred, as I had initially…read moretaken it down after Redlands CDJR "tried" to remedy the situation. Short of it is as follows: Brought our RAM truck in to be serviced under warranty for an airbag issue. Dropped the truck and was told it would be a multi-day job. Got a covered rental with them and went back home 50miles away. Got home and they called to say that they didnt have the part to do the work. (wow) Had some other work done since we were back home and came to get the truck next day. We were then told that we had to wait for the part to come in for that original work to be completed. 2months later we get a callback stating they had the part (airbag wiring harness). Called back several times to make an appt for the work to be completed under warranty and never got a call back. Holidays came, then the new year, and circled back in April with them again to get the warranty work completed since they stated they had the part some time before. We explained that we were 50miles away and needed to know how long the job would take. We were ensured that it would be a 1day job and that they had the part to do it this time. We brought the truck in again and upon arrival they state that the truck is now out of warranty and that we could be on the hook for some, if not all of the cost, as well as stating that it is a multi day job, and that we had to pay for the rental as it is out of warranty. (wow again) No one told us to this point that we were on any clock regarding warranty to get this job done by. They initially then came back with a 60/40 "deal" from Chrysler/Stellantis, which was still over $1200 estimate for a job that was suppose to be covered under warranty. We "proceeded" anyway under the guize that this still may be covered after appeal. Came back next day and explained to the Gen Manager the sequence of events that had occurred to date. They ended up cutting us a "deal" after discussing with their reps and the job would now be covered under warranty again due to initially getting the work started when the truck was under warranty, including the rental we had to pay for. They "tried" to remedy the situation by offering a cleaning of the cab and engine bay and we ended up piggybacking an oil change as well. Got the truck back and noticed that the oil life didn't get reset on the computer. Within a week the airbag sensor started consistently going off again, after they had diagnosed and replaced the wiring harness. Called back about 3-4 times, leaving messages on machines and with people, etc. No callback. 2 weeks later we finally get a hold of one of the points of contact and they admit the rental refund didn't go through and that the truck would be to be ran through diagnostics again, and that again this is possibly not covered under warranty, it would have to be submitted via their portal with Stellantis. The second time back on the airbags ended up being bad contacts under the seat. Moral of the story is the communication and stories they tell you there aint worth the squeeze. Wont be going back there for service, ever.
